Cutie Mark Crusaders Vs The Baboon
"Confound it, Applebloom!"
After a day of hard work with apple bucking at the farm, Applejack had hoped to return to a quiet home to relax. Instead, what she found was the Applebloom, and the rest of the Cutie Mark Crusaders, had caused a huge mess in the house. Couches had been flipped over, the pictures in the room lay sprawled out across the floor, and tiny mud hoof prints had been placed all across the room.
"Applebloom! Come out this instant!" Applejack called. From across the corner of the room tiny hoof steps could be heard coming closer. Three small filly eyes peeked out of the corner across the room. Applejack glared daggers and grit her teeth.
"Now." Applejack seethed.
The three Cutie Mark Crusaders all came out, one by one, their eyes fixed on the muddy floor before them. Applebloom pawed the ground before her, and looked up at Applejack. She tried to fake a smile, but Applejack's glare hardened, indicating that it was a good time for her friends to leave.
"Uhm... Ah'll see you girls later.." Applebloom said, looking back down at the floor. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle simply nodded before each of them walked around Applejack, their heads still down fixed low before Applejack slammed the door.
"Applebloom, what in the hay were you girls doin'!?" Applejack demanded her little sister. Applebloom flinched at this, and pawed her hoof on the floor. Unresponsive. "Well, what could you have possibly done to cause such a mess!?" Applejack demanded again. Applebloom looked away, mumbling something under her breath. "Excuse me?" Applejack said.
"Cutie Mark Crusaders pig chasing..." Applebloom silently muttered.
Applejack stared at her, confusion spread across her face.
"Now why in the hay would you think that would be your cutie mark??" Applejack asked. Applebloom snapped her head back to face Applejack
"I don't know!" Applebloom screeched, her last word squeaking causing Applejack to flinch slightly. Applejack recomposed herself.
"Well, you know what that means, right?" Applejack asked, already knowing how her little sister was going to react. Applebloom gasped and gave her big sister the best puppy eyes she could muster.
"No big sis, ah swear, please let me go over and have a sleepover at my friends house! Ah swear, ah'll clean the house and do even more chores tomorrow!" Applebloom ran over and looked put her front hoofs on Applejacks shoulders to make sure that the puppy dog eyes would have full effect. It didn't phase Applejack. Not one bit. Applejack narrowed her eyes.
"No, ya'll are going to have ta learn how to own up to your mistakes." Applejack said flatly. Applebloom eyes started to well up with tears.
"Pleeeeeaaaase?" Applebloom asked pawing at her sister's shoulders. Applejack pulled away.
"No, and that's final. Now I want this house cleaned up by dinner tonight, alright?" Applejack said. Applebloom scrunched up her face and turned away to get the cleaning supplies. She was furious.
Applebloom lay on her bed, holding her pillow to her face. She punched the pillow in frustration. She had just got done with eating dinner and had finished cleaning the house. It was now near midnight, and she still couldn't sleep because of her frustration.
"Stupid Applejack, just tryin' ta find ma Cutie Mark..." Apple bloom slammed her head to her pillow.
-tap-
"Wha- Who's there?"
-tap- -tap-
Applebloom got up and looked outside the window to see her two friends outside, Scootaloo with another pebble resting on the slingshot she was about to fire. Applebloom gasped.
"What are you two doing here??" Applebloom asked in a quiet whisper, hoping to wake nobody else in the barn.
"Uh, trying to do some midnight crusading! Duh!" Scootaloo said, a lot louder than Applebloom was expecting. Applebloom put her hoofs out indicating her to be more quiet.
"Sshhh, mah family is still sleepin'." Applebloom said, still just as quiet.
"Well, if you wanna come crusadin' with us, meet us out at the back." Sweetie Belle whispered loudly. Both Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle turned around to meet up at the back of the barn.
"Wait, girls!" Applebloom started, but the duo Crusaders had already ran apart and were heading to the back.
"Confound it..." Applebloom muttered.
After swiftly and quiet manuvering around the barn, Applebloom managed to get out safely, and without anypony noticing. She found her friends exactly where they said they would be. Applebloom trotted over to them.
"What's the plan girls, why did you want to bring me out here?" Applebloom asked.
Scootaloo pointed one hoof to the muddy prints on the ground. The prints continued down the grass until it ended up in the forest. The Everfree.
"Oh no, girls, you know our sisters told us ta never go there." Applebloom said, backing up. Scootaloo trotted up to her friend and wrapped a hoof around her.
"Come onnnn, I doubt the pig actually got far into the forest, we're not going deep into the forest. Just the outside edge." Scootaloo said confidently.
Sweetie Belle added, "Yeah, and if we'll keep the barn within seeing distance. If we go too deep to the point that we can't see the barn, then we'll just come back out."
"That sounds like a bad idea girls, I don't know..." Applebloom looked down. "Plus ma sister will be awfully furious if she found out that I had snuck out to go do more crusadin'."
"D'aww come on, Applebloom." Scootaloo added a playful shove to Applebloom. "We won't be more than five minutes. We just wanna see how far that piggie went. If anything, it's probably just eating some of the grass on the outside edge anyways." Applebloom looked up at her two friends, and sighed.
"Well, if you promise it won't be more than five minutes, I guess it won't hurt." Applebloom said in defeat.
Sweetie Belle jumped and turned one hundred eighty degrees. "Last one to the edge of the Everfree will be the last one to find their cutie marks! Go!" She said.
With that, the three Crusaders were off.
It didn't take them long reach the edge of the Everfree, and already they were following the prints inside the forest. Applebloom followed her two friends, constantly looking behind her and watching the glow outside the forest slowly shrink. Each of them, making sure not to step on any sticks to cause anything to wake up.
-brshsh-
A shuffling among the brushes caused the trio to bump into one another. They simultaniously leaned their ears close to the bush to hear what was on the other side, without causing any disturbances. A few soft "oinks" gave them their answer. All of them gave each other a high hoof before silently walking through the bushes to find the missing pig.
The pig was facing away from them, chewing on a small patch of grass. The trio silently giggled as they watched the pig eat.
"Come on now, girls. We'll worry about rescuing the pig tomorrow." Sweetie Belle whispered as they turned around to head back. They quietly manuvered out of the bushes silently.
Scootaloo giggled, "Yeah, from all the grass around him, I doubt it'll be gone by tomorr-"
-snap-
All of their ears perked up as they turned to Scootaloo and saw that she had stepped on a stick. The pig from behind them squealed in fear and started to run around in terror.
All three of the CMC gasped as they turned to face each other. More shuffling could be heard running towards them, but it sounded more... Desperate. As if it had to get them no matter what the cost.
"Run!!" Sweetie Belle squeaked. The three CMC's ran as hard as they could to reach the outside light. The small circle of light started to glow brighter as they grew nearer. Whatever was chasing them, it was now running much faster, as it's breathing grew more insane.
-SQUEEEE-
The pig's shriek could be heard behind them, followed by the pigs' body flying at a tree next to them. It's stomach had been ripped open, and it's innards splattered outward. The blood and gore sticking to the tree and branches. Scootaloo turned to see the pig as they ran past it. As her gaze followed it behind her, she saw something launch out of the bushes they were hiding in earlier. Scootaloo lost her footing as she tripped over a rock. Face planting on the ground front of her. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom turned around to see their missing friend. What they saw, paralyzed them with fear.
A massive baboon, the size of Big Mac holding the screaming Scootaloo upside as it stared it's bloodshot eyes into hers. It brought her closer to his snout, as it took a big sniff. Her screams continued.
"P-Please let me go. I don't taste good, I promise!" Scootaloo cried out in fear, tears dripping down. The baboon pulled Scootaloo away from it's face before looking at the other two CMC's. Scootaloo continued with her pleads as the baboon continued to look at the other two CMC's. Sweetie Belle and Applebloom were holding their breaths, hoping the baboon would let their friend go. The only sound that could be heard was Scootaloo's whimpered begging of life.
The baboon looked back at the upside down Scootaloo, and with one swift movement it opened it's maw and slammed his teeth around her body. Scootaloo's eyes shot open, her breath leaving her. A sickening crunch and the sound of blood splattering out of her body could be heard. Blood slowly started to trickle outside of the baboon's teeth.
"NO!!" Both of the remaining CMC's shrieked. The baboon turned back to the two CMC's, Scootaloo's body still hanging from the razors of his jaw. He stared at them for a few seconds before violently shaking the small frail body violently side to side, blood spraying across the trees. The body slowly became more and more limp. The baboon grabbed the sprawled body and laid it to the ground. Scootaloo was facing towards them. She didn't even have time to scream, all she could do was quietly gasp to he friends.
"G-gir-" Scootaloo started, putting her hoof out. The baboon put both of its feet behind her back, silencing her before she could utter her last words. It's mouth dribbled with drool and gore as it placed gaping maw around the back of her head. The slow sound of continuous cracks and snapping could be heard, as it her eyes rolled up, staring at nothing. The baboon chewed for a few seconds, the horrifying sound of cracking and snapping being heard as it chewed before dropping what remained of Scootaloo's body on the ground and diving in to the rest of the body.
The other two remaining CMC's stared at the carnage in front of them. Their eyes shifting from the wild beast, to the absolutely destroyed corpse in front of them. Sweetie Belle tried to form a word, all that came out was a whimpered squeal. The baboon's chomping immediately stopped after hearing the squeal. It shot it's head towards them, and immediately sprinted towards them blood dripping off his muzzle. One of it's paw stomped on the body of the remaining Scootaloo in pursuit, causing more organs to fly out in various directions. They only had time to turn, not even a chance to run before the baboon was already upon them.
It grabbed both of their tails and started to flail them around aimlessly. It let go of Applebloom's tail as she was sent slamming into a tree. Her vision blurred slightly. She slowly stood up to see the baboon staring down at the frightened Sweetie Belle. She whimpered pulling her hoofs close to herself as the Scootaloo's blood slowly dripped onto her small body.
"J-just let me go, I'm a good filly, and I just want t- AUUGH" Again, the baboon silenced another CMC. Shoving one of it's hands into her mouth and ripping her jaw down. The baboon relentlessly continued to rip her downward. The crazed beast shoved it's snout inside her open corpse and continued its carnage. Sweetie Belle's eyes went wild as her hoofs shoot outward and around desperately. The baboon continued to snort and growl as it dug deeper into her, finding more and more squishy organs, occasionally pulling his head out with those organs and flailing them around, only to continue to finish what it had started.
This was the definition of horror. Applebloom never had experienced anything like this before. Nightmare Moon was one thing, but this... This was just unnatural. She turned to run, squealing as she did. The baboon let out a high pitched scream before Applebloom felt the weight on her back slam her to the ground.
"NO! I have a sister, I can't go like this! No! Stop! Why are you doing this! Please, I just want to see my family one more time! please!" Applebloom screamed, as the baboon slowly turned her body around onto her back. She closed her eyes tight. She could hear the grunting and growling of the baboon above her.
Nothing happened yet... Just the continuous sound of it's heavy snorts and breathing. Suddenly felt something touch her nether area. She shot her eyes open infront of her. It's bloodshot eyes staring at her.
Applebloom screamed as the baboon pounded its chest in victory, her vision started to fade away slowly as she was about to pass out. Just before she did, the baboon lifted her body up and slammed it to the nearest tree, waking her up immediately. The smell of blood and gore covering her coat.
The baboon lifted her body up a little more before it started to claw at her body. Ripping out everything it could, as if it's life depended on it. She looked down and saw her organs, blood, stomach juices, fall out like a waterfall before being torn apart. All of it happened so fast, 'I'll never apologize to my sister, or tell any of them that I love them again', she thought. Her body fell limp to the ground, the world turned dark as the last sounds that crossed of what remained of her ears, was the sounds of the baboon finishing it's last meal of the night.
THE END.
