Trixie's Lament
They used to love it, When Trixie was around....
"Come One Come All. The Great and Powerful Trixie is in Town."
But now they boo, when Trixie takes the stage.....
They jeer me, their hearts full of hate and rage....
"You're a Fake." "A Has Been." "A Cad."
Looks like my momment, in the spotlight has been had
The light they dim now, around my final show
As I pack my things, Ready to leave and go....
No one stops me to talk or speak or say
"Trixie we love you, Please won't you stay."
THeir eyes are fixed upon me, glaring hurtful stares
The world has shown me, there's no place for showmares....
