Fallout Equestria: Project Exodus

Stables, one of the many inventions built by Stable-Tec, each created with the survival and security of the pony race in mind. If the world were to ever be plunged into the destruction and chaos of a balefire war, the Stables would protect those seeking shelter within them from the horrors of fire and radiation. However, even though this radical new idea was created with the good of the Equestrian citizens in mind, things quickly got out of hoof. The safe havens promised by Stable-Tec quickly became the mass graves of the unknowing ponies who were selected to become part of the Stable Program. Most stable-dwellers were used as guinea pigs for the sick, twisted experimentation of the Stable-Tec technicians, with very few stables actually retaining the original ideology of pony preservation.

Stable 87 was no exception to these crimes against equinity, forcefully segregating it's population into two halves of a whole, the earth ponies in one and unicorns in the other. Each section had its own facilities, its own living quarters and most importantly, its own Overmare. As each race grew out of contact, rules and regulations ensuring that they remain separate, their youth was exposed to slanderous propaganda and falsified facts about the opposite population, seeding hate within their young minds. Eventually, with each passing generation, the distrust and malice within the entire population grew. This caused the occasional squabble or hoof fight within the Stable's common room, the only interaction the two populations had with one another.

A hundred years after the clouds of balefire scorched the land into the desolate wasteland it is known as today, tensions within Stable 87 finally came to a breaking point. When the unicorn tribe's water talisman, their only source of safe drinking water, mysteriously ceased to function an epidemic of death broke out, destroying the lives of the many unicorn families that resided within the Stable. The earth ponies, with their stubborn and traditional ways, refused to offer aid to the suffering unicorns, instead hoarding the last water purifier for themselves, content with the eradication of the unicorn infection. Their selfishness, coupled with the sudden loss of almost every pre-adolescent unicorn, caused a sudden and violent uprising, throwing the entire stable into a civil war. A war that slowly tore the Stable apart, piece by piece, pony by pony, the stable dwellers succumbing to the same fate as many of the other stable's, the total demise of its occupants.

This is where our tale begins, at the height and very end of this fight, with two young mare, two sisters, stuck trying to escape their fate within the chaos of Stable 87.
