A New Life, With Ponies?

Chapter One

My name is Mega Geo.  WelI, my screen name, at least.  I changed my name, as I felt it fit me better.  Now, I had just graduated.  You think I would feel happy, right?  Wrong.  I had just barely made a passing grade, and... well... simply put, I was sad.  Sad that my mother was yelling at me, and sad that I was supposed to be moving out soon.

I was simply sitting in my room, reading off my Kindle.  I remember what had happened about a year and six months ago, when a kid named Josh went missing, and that three month manhunt that went on.  However, I was lucky to see his car and overheard him talking about Equestria and then.... Well, he ripped off his shirt and I saw.  I ran off, and hid in my room, thinking about my life.  Wasn’t exactly happy.  Simply put, I felt out of place, that I felt better off in Equestria.  I was known as a closet Brony, as I enjoyed the joy that was (Literally) radiated off the screen every time I watched.  When a certain Genie came by, I made sure to be prepared.

I was lazing in my room one night, when a white flash appeared behind me.  I paid no mind, continuing to read unti-

“Hello there!”

“Holy cheeseballs!” I yelped as I fell backwards and hit the gro-BANG!

Fortunately, my mom was away, so I stared in shock at the... Person?

After staring, I spoke.

“Hello... Who are you?”

“Why, I’m a Genie!”

“Are you... the Genie from about two years ago?”

“Yep!”

“You saw me?”

“Indeed!”

“Sooo... Why me?  I thought I wasn’t special...”

“It wasn’t that, It was... Your emotions that brought me here.  You wished to go to Equestria, as you are distraught about what happened last week.  I saw you flunked your exams.”

So... my emotions alone were enough to bring him here.  I know I should be ecstatic, but... I can’t.

“Could you come back later?  I need time to think.”

“No can do.  I could make sure you wishes are granted, but I cannot go until you make your wish to a new world.”

“Then...”  I began thinking about abilities that I wanted. “Could I get the powers from SAO?”

“Anything specific you want”

“Well, the menus, inventory system, as well as a hud toggle, weapons and shields from GGO, and an amusphere that lets me use a... projection of sorts that lets me return to this world with my powers, ability to use a browser with Earth internet access and the ability to play any game of my choosing, either with a projected computer or with me controlling the character.”

“Done!”

“And I wish for enough money for my family to live happily without over spoiling themselves.  I don’t want to abandon my family without at least paying them back.”

“Done!  And now, the world of your choosing is...?”

“The same world Josh went to.”

“Equestria?”

“Yes.  May I gather my things?”

“Yes, but you only have a few minutes.”

I get my Kindle, favorite blanket, comfortable clothes, and other miscellaneous things I might need my first day.

“Also, can I make sure a note is found that I left for a new start?  I’ll still be able to visit, but I’m leaving.  I don’t want them to go on a manhunt like last time.  And music talent, of course.  Also, the lifespan of whichever species of pony that lives the longest other than the alicorn.”

“Anything to help you fit in.  Are we ready?”

“Yes.”

So, the Genie points at the floor, and I see Ponyville come into vi-

“Hey, do you want to be friends after this?  This is the least I can be for you, granting my wishes and all that.”

“Not the first time, but sure!”

I see Ponyville come into view, and I shake hands with the Genie before I jump through, and I happen to be on a collision course into the... Treebrary?  Oh dear.

Smashing through the window, I saw a blue alicorn with Twilight, Scootaloo, and a black alicorn filly.

Blacking out, I heard the blue one murmur,

"Dude.  Who are you?"
