//-------------------------------------------------------// Sheet Music -by Dischord- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// The Begining //-------------------------------------------------------// The Begining First, I need to tell you something little know about Equestria. Long ago, before Equestria was founded, the planet was split into four nations. The known ones were Unicorns, Pegasi, and Earth Ponies. The fourth however, were the Untouchables. Now, the Untouchables weren’t any specific race of pony, they were just the poor ones who couldn’t afford to live in the mane kingdoms. Eventually, The three mane kingdoms merged to form Equestria (but that is another story all together) and the Untouchables remained in the Badlands. To this day, 1000 years later, Celestia is secretly trying to eradicate the Untouchable villages to improve the economy of Equestria. 22 Years Ago It was a beautiful day, well beautiful for the badlands. The sun was shining, but it wasn’t too hot, the wind wasn’t blowing that hard, and one lucky mare and stallion were about to have a baby. “It’s a colt!” said the doctor Now, it was surprising that the Music family could afford a doctor, even though they have been saving up for this moment for the past nine months. Most Badlands ponies just do it themselves. “Sheet!” cried Classical. “Language, Classy. It can’t possibly hurt that bad.” chuckled Jazz. “No,” Classical responded. “His name. Sheet.” “Oh,” responded Jazz. “I like it.” Now little Sheet Music was a small red unicorn with deep blue eyes and a green mane with an orange stripe down the middle. He was a silent colt and seemed to be very curious about his surroundings. His eyes were slowly moving around examining the world around them. He then smiled and began to giggle. This made both Classical and Jazz grin. Later that day, the Music family returned to their home with their new child. It seemed the whole village radiated with joy at the birth of a new pony. The Musics were very popular, considering that they performed for the whole village almost every day. When they got home, they were greeted with a party. The whole village was there. Even the mayor. They all had a great time. When everypony left, the Musics went to bed. Nothing significant happened in Sheet’s life happened for another four years. Four Years Later  Sheet was now four years old, and back in the hospital. Why? Because his mother was giving birth to a new child. Another colt. This colt had a dark blue coat, and green eyes. His mane was red with turquoise tips. He was also a unicorn. His name was Punk. Punk was the complete opposite of Sheet. He would never stop crying and could care less about his surroundings. The same stuff happened as before. Five Years Later  Sheet was awoken in the middle of the night to the sound of raining bombs. He got up, scared out of his mind and called his family.  “Mama! Papa! Punky! Where are you!” he cried over the sound of explosions.  He heard no responses, so he left his house and went searching. As he was leaving, he saw his father’s body, lying on the ground, with a wooden post impaled through his body.  “Papa! Are you okay?” he sobbed.  His father did not respond, so Sheet walked up to him. He felt his pulse, and there was nothing, so he raced out of his house, to focused on finding his mother to cry.  The village around him was burning, and the buildings were falling apart. The bodies of dead ponies littered the ground, but Sheet was to focused to notice any of these things. He just wanted to find his mother and brother before it was too late. He heard a crash as a building fell, and he heard an all too familiar scream.  “Mama!” he cried as he dashed to the source of the sound at an unnatural speed.  He arrived to see his mother crushed underneath a crossbeam. He tried to lift it off of her, but failed.  “Sheet,” she cried. “It is too late for me. Go find your brother and father before it is too late.  “Papa’s dead,” Sheet responded.  “Then find your brother and get out of town. Head to Equestria. It is safer there.”  “No. I can save you.”  “No you can’t. Just go.”  “No.”  “It is too late for me. You are wasting time.”  Sheet Music began to sing the lullaby his mother sang him every night. “When the moon falls, does it make a sound?                                             When we go through our lives do we care?                                                      We will, We will, have peace to be found,                                                        And when we find said peace can we be fair?                                                     Fair to say that we cannot hear the tears?                                                    Tears of those who lost and must face their fears.                                           Oh why must the world have pain to fear?                                                     Why can’t our cries bring us near?                                                                 When will we be our own heroes?”  Halfway through the song, his cutie mark appeared. It was a set of eighth notes.  “Bye my son,” his mother said with a cry.  “No you can’t leave me here!” he yelled.  His mother died, and his rage built up inside of him to the point where he could not contain it anymore. His eyes turned deep red and he ran from the village into the Badlands.      To Be Continued
