Vinyl Scratch once dreamed of making herself, DJ P0N-3, the best DJ in all of Equestria. However, she eventually became complacent with her partial success, and settled into a life of non-stop partying. With bills to pay and her income drained from her drinking and partying, she put her faith in the hooves of luck and went gambling. Now, sunk further in debt and having needed her one true friend, Mix, to come to her rescue once more, Vinyl seeks a remedy to her downward spiralling life. Upon Mix's suggestion, Vinyl reluctantly puts her discs aside to take up work in his recording studio as a sound technician for the ever successful Octavia.

This is the story of Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, and the thoughts and emotions we often feel are unique to us.
