When Tucker, A Germane Earth pony is forced to move away from his home. He finds it hard to adapt to his new home. That is, until he finds out what terrible things are happening out there.

Note the Holocaust is considered the worst case of Genocide in history. Considering the fact that the crystal empire was taken over by King Sombra, it lead me to believe that it was to be a case of genocide. I'm sorry if this were to offend anyone.
