Chapters Chapter One: Adoption

I ran outside and took to the skies, heading for my new home. “Today’s the day. I finally get to move to Canterlot and start my new life on my own.”I was so happy that this day had finally come. I was finally moving out of my parents house to go and start my dream job, being a Dj.
As I flew through the skies, I noticed a pony on the ground, unconscious. I dived down to them and landed gracefully beside them. I nudged them in the side. “ Hey buddy, you alright?”
She groaned and began to stir, making weird noises when ever I poked her in the side.
“Hey miss, are you ok? I saw you passed out as I was flying overhead.” She slowly rose to her hoofs and looked up at me. “P-please help. I gotta get to a hospital...” she trailed off. I looked at her other side and noticed she was bleeding badly. From the looks of it, something clawed her in the side, something big.
I caught her as she began to fall, her eyes closing as she lost consciousness again. I sighed and flew as fast as I could to the nearest hospital. There, she was rushed away to somewhere I didn’t really care to Know. All I cared about was whether or not she would survive.
As I sat in the waiting room, I noticed everypony eyeing me, looking as if they were all ready to bolt out of there in a heartbeat. Guess they don’t get many gryphons out here. I sat waiting for hours to find out the fate of the poor pony, till a nurse finally came up to me.
“U-um, excuse me sir, but, I need you to come with me.” she said shakily. I cocked an eyebrow. “What for, I didn’t do anything wrong did I?” SHe seemed to jump at my outburst. Admittedly, that hadn’t sounded as calm as I meant to say it, it actually sounded kind of threatening.
I sighed and cleared my throat. “So, why do you want me to come with you miss?” I questioned. She just stood there for moment before answering my question. “The young mare that you brought to us would like a word with you.” I sighed, then nodded.
She lead me to her room and left me alone with her, clearly glad to get out of my presence. I walked over to the mare, as warm a smile as I could manage. “H-hey, I didn’t get the chance to properly thank you for saving me. I am forever in your debt mister...um...” “ Talon.” I finished. “And who might you be madam?” I asked. “I’m Darta, and I'd like to get to know you, if thats ok.” I sighed, then looked over at a clock on the wall, then back to her. “I don’t see why not. I got time to spare.” I said, a little bit to cheerfully.
After a couple of hours talking with her about our lives and our plans for the future,we decide that it was time for her to get some rest. “Min if I stick around a bit longer? I promise not to disturb your rest.” She nodded before yawning and drifting off to sleep.
I was sitting in a chair beside her bed, watching this crazy looking mare. She was actually kind of cute in some ways. She was actually very young. Must have ran away from home. At that exact moment, the door flung open, startling me and making her jump and hit the floor. I helped her back up into the bed, eyeing the two clearly ticked off ponies still standing at the door. They trotted over to us and nodded at me before glaring down at what I assumed was their daughter. I backed away as they began to fuss at her. She was scared out of her mind, tears starting to form in her eyes.
Something in me snapped when I saw her start to cry. I instinctively jumped in between them, growling at them. They backed away as I held my head high and puffed out my chest to intimidate them. They looked at each other and nodded, then looked back at me. They got out a sheet of paper and a pin. “Fine then, since you feel so protective of her, why don’t you just take her.” The stallion said, glaring at me. I snatched the paper from him and signed it, then tossed into his face. He, and who I assumed to be his wife, signed it “There, she’s all yours from now on. We want nothing to do with her anymore.” The mare shouted. I snarled at her and turned to give the young mare a hug. SHe wrapped her forelegs around my neck, crying into my shoulder.
I sat in the chair, watching her as she slept. My eyes soon became heavy, and I had no intention of fighting against my desire to sleep. I let sleep take me and layed my head down on the edge of the her bed.
I awoke to a giggling mare, sitting up in bed. I was shocked to find out that she was completely healed and could leave today. She hugged me and jumped out of bed, almost falling when she did. I scrambled to catch her, but hit the wall head first when she stopped herself from falling.
I groaned as I sat up against the wall and looked over to the giggling mare. I smiled, it felt good to see her happy. “So, since you can leave today, wanna get out of here and go explore Manhattan?” I asked nervously. I had never been good with kids, but always enjoyed playing with them. She thought for a moment, then walked over to me with a big smile plastered on her face. “I wanna go by my school and show you off,” she said cheerfully, but then began to scratch at the floor and act real shy, “if thats ok with you of course.” I laughed, then patted her on the head and messed up her mane. “sure thing kiddo. I don’t mind showing off for you.” Gryphons are very prideful creatures,this is a well known fact.
I landed at the front door of her school, her riding my back. I strutted in and headed for what I assumed was her classroom. “Hey everybody, I’m back.” Everyone, including the teacher scowled at her for a moment, glaring as hard as they could. “Ahem, I’m her new father, Talon. I will be taking her out of this school and away from Manhattan.” Everyone started cheering. I could even hear cheering throughout the school.
I noticed a tear land on my back, then, once again, something in me snapped. I roared as loud as I could, causing everypony to stop laughing. I glared at them all. “You all are horrible ponies! If I ever see any of you again, I’ll snap your neck and eat you! Am I understood?!” They all nodded furiously, some were whimpering.
I punched the door and made it explode into pieces as I narrowed my eyes at the teacher, then spun around and stomped out of the building. I squawked at any pony that was near us as we left.
We flew to her house and got her stuff, then flew down to the train station, after getting her some ice cream, and boarded a train headed for ponyville. Once we took our seat, everypony got as far away from us as they could get. Soon, a few of them came back and started talking to us. It was a fun ride.
When we arrived at ponyville, we explored a little, got something to eat, then went to my new house. It was a cloud house right above this cottage near the everfree forest. It was close enough to the ground that my new pegasus daughter could get to it on her own. After she got through exploring the rather large house, she came to me with one simple question. “Can we go down and say hi to our new neighbors?” I thought for a moment, but decided against it. It was getting late, and I’d heard that the everfree was a dangerous place. “Pwease daddy.” So much Da’wwwww. I chuckled then nodded. What's the harm in meeting our new neighbors.
We flew down and landed at the front door. I knocked a few times, then the door sprang open as six mares greeted me, before they backed away, noticing I was a gryphon. I casually walked in and said hi to them all. “Hi, I’m Talon, and this is my daughter. We just moved into the cloud house above this place.” A pink mare hopped up in front of me, bouncing away happily. “Your new in town, that means I get to throw a party to let everyone get to know you. Oooh, we can have cake, punch, balloons, a Dj, and maybe cupcakes. DO you like cupcakes, cuz I like cupcakes. What kind of cupcakes do you like?” I grabbed her snout and held it shut, afraid of another verbal assault. “Anyways, yes I do like cupcakes, and yes, a party does sound like fun, and no, I will not hurt you.”
My daughter jumped down and trotted up to the pink pony. “Hi, my names Darta. Your cool, and funny. Wanna be friends, I don’t have any friends so I’d like to make you my first friend.” She smiled and held out her hoof. I let go of the pink mare as she started to shake Darta’s hoof. “Hi, I’m Pinkie Pie, and sure, I’ll be your friend. wanna come to work with me tomorrow?” They both looked up at me, pleading eyes and their lower lips poked out. I chuckled and messed up both of their manes. “Sure, why not, I think it’d be good for you.” They both began to hold hoofs and bounce screaming “Yay!” like they’d just won the lottery.
Me and the others just sat back and laughed at them. It felt good to see Darta so happy. It made me happy to see her smile. I talked to The purple unicorn beside me about the similarities and differences of ponies and gryphons. It soon became a very heated argument of which was better. Needless to say, I lost, badly.
After a while, I decided it was time we got back home, so I scooped up my tired little foal and returned to home after saying our goodbyes. I took her to my room and laid her in the bed. She was making the cutest little snoring noises. She’d occasionally kick and move around, making the cutest sounds possible. All I could do was smile and occasionally scratch her belly.
I hopped in bed and pulled her close. She began to nuzzle my neck and wrapped her forelegs around me as far as they could go. I purred at this, and even nuzzled her back. Sleep soon found me aswell, which I gladly welcomed. I had had a long two days., and felt like crashing all day, but this little fuzzball of mine needed to tucker herself out first. I had thought having a kid would suck, but this girl has definitely changed my view on that. Now that today is finally over with, I can get some rest, and i’m gonna need it, cuz tomorrow , I begin my new job with local weather team, and start gathering some music to make my debut as a Dj at that party.
I layed there snoring, my daughter in my arms, and a smile on both of our faces.. Today was a good day, but tomorrow will be even better.

“Wake up daddy, wake up.” I heard, as a bit of pain coursed through me. I opened my eyes to see a cut bouncing filly on my stomach. I grabbed her hugged her tightly. “Good morning Darta. Did my little princess sleep well?” She nodded and jumped off of me. “Daddy, I’m hungry.” She said, as her stomach began to growl loudly. I chuckled and rolled out of bed. I yawned as I walked to the kitchen to fix her some cereal, mostly because I don't think she’d like anything else I’d cook.
She strolled in and punched me in the side. “Ow, that freakin hurt.” She giggled. “Don’t be such a baby, daddy, and also, can you fix me something besides cereal?” I looked at her, puzzled. “Like what? Eggs and bacon? cuz thats what I’m about to eat.” She thought for a moment, which I found kinda weird since till now, I didn't think ponies even eat meat. She nodded towards me. “Sure, whatever that is, it sounds delicious.” I just nodded in agreement and put the cereal away. *Sigh, I guess I’ll tell her what it is tomorrow. Although, if I tell her tomorrow instead of now, things could end badly for me. I shrugged and got to work on our breakfast.
I began searching through my things, looking for my four most prized possessions. “Aha, here you are.” I said as I took out my two swords, assassin clothes, my headphones, and my collection of music. I placed them all on the bed, wondering whether I should even have these things out around Darta. How would the poor young filly react to weapons. I still afraid she might just try to kill me and eat me in my sleep. I’ve never seen a pony scarf down an entire plate of bacon then another plate of eggs. I-I think i’m actually afraid of a little filly.
I quickly hid the weapons as I heard the sound of hootsteps coming to the door. When It opened, I was surprised to see a black mare with a red mane and tail, a silver streak in it. Her eyes were like fire, and her cutie mark was a shuriken. She looked me over and smiled. “Hi, your daughter let me in. I’m Dark Star, I’m opening a club on the outskirts of ponyville.” I shrugged, mostly because I didn't actually care at the moment. “I’m talon, nice to meet you Dark Star. Why do you feel the need to tell me?” She trotted up closer, stopping 3 inches from me, which was kind of creepy if you ask me. “I need someone who strong to be my bouncer, so why not hire the only gryphon in town to fill that position.” This could be really good for me, but I don’t think I can balance being on the weather team and this. “Sorry, but I just don't think I can accept your offer, me being on the weather team and all.” She looked disappointed for a second, then began smile sheepishly. “Actually, I sent that acceptance letter. I did it to get you out here, sorry.” My eye twitched. She noticed this and took a step back. “*Sigh, fine , but I’m not going to be the bouncer, I want to be the Dj or no deal.” She smirked and got closer. Now she’s invading my super personal space. “Fine, I can accept that, we need a Dj anyways.” She turned and trotted to the door. “Don’t let me down Mr. Fang, I’m counting on you.” was all she said before departing. I couldn’t help but watch her flank as she left. She seemed to be actually swaying her flank for me, she even looked back and smirked at me.
I shook my head vigorously, trying to get the dirty thoughts that crept into my mind out. I soon found myself following her and watching her flank closely. As we reached my front door, something tackled me to the ground. “Daddy, it’s time for me to go to school.” I sighed, relieved that I was no longer under that mares control. I got up and walked over to giggling mare. “Guess I’ll see ya later then, Dark Star.” I said with a small smile. She just giggled and have me playful punch in my chest. “See you tonight Talon, Don't be late.” Before I could say or do anything else, she suddenly jumped forward and planted a kiss on my cheek, then darted out the door. I just stood there, doing nothing but breathing.
I stood there for an hour before I finally decided I had wasted enough time and went to go and check on Darta. I walked into the living room and found her listening to my music and dancing. I started to laugh at how badly she was dancing, but, against my better judgment, I decided to dance with her. I started to dance, horribly might I add, but just to make sure that I didn’t make her feel bad about her dancing. We began to dance together, laughing and having fun. I don’t think I’ve ever had this much fun with anypony, except my old friend Vortex, but No one knows what happened to her after that accident in the forest. I shook my head again, not wanting to remember that horrible experience. I just wanted to enjoy this moment with my daughter.
I flew over ponyville in search of this new club. When I finally found it, I must admit, I was impressed. It looked like a club you’d find in manhattan, only better. When I landed at the front door, I could hear music already playing. I walked in and noticed there was only a few ponies inside. I instantly spotted Black star and made my way over to her, a smirk on my face. “Hey Star, what's up.” She turned to me and smiled, a rather mischievous smile at that. “Well, hello Mr. Fang, good to see you again.” She trotted up beside me, pressed herself up against me.
She introduced me to everypony else, then took me to her office upstairs. The floor was enchanted so we could see through it. I looked around the room a little, mesmerized by it. I jumped when I heard the door slam shut and lock. I slowly turned to see Star Standing at the door. She slowly turned to me, a very...lustful smile. I took a few steps back, my eyes darting around looking for an escape. She trotted up to me, have lidded eyes and an even more lustful smile. She backed me up against the wall and kissed me. “We have an hour till the club. Now what do you think we’re gonna do till then?” I sighed and sat on the floor, my back against the wall. She sat down on my lap and slowly began to grind against me. “Don’t worry, i’ll be gentle.” I sighed, cuz I didn’t really care, that is until i felt my....ya know, touch her flank. She jumped up, surprised, which I don’t get. I thought she was trying to excite me. she smiled at me and slowly started to bring her but down and half way down her mare hood met my.... ugh.... member, and then she began to....
I’m just gonna skip this part because this isn’t a clop fic....yet.
After an hour we came out, our eyes half-lidded and big stupid grins on our faces. Her mane and tail was a mess, and my feathers had were ruffled. One of my coworkers came up to us and looked us over. “What happen to you two? You look like a train hit you Darkstar, and you look like you just got out of a big fight Mr.fang.” he said, an eyebrow cocked. We looked at each other and, admittedly, we both giggled stupidly, our cheeks turning a deep red. He put two and two together and figured out what we had been up to. He then gave me a playful punch in the arm. “Way to go, stud. Looks like I just found the train that ran you over boss, or should I say through.” he said jokingly. We all laughed as we notice some ponies come through the door. Dark Star looked at me with a smile and motioned for me to get to the Dj booth. “Go on you overgrown peacock, It's time for you to get to work.” I laughed and saluted her before running off to go Dj.
We I got up to my Dj booth, I started to play this song. Down In Flames
Half way into the song, I looked out over the dance floor and saw a bunch of ponies dancing on it, and a few pegasi flying around and dancing in the air with light sticks and other rave type things, which didn’t wasn’t appropriate for this song but thats them, not me. I watched them all, bobbing my head back and forth as I stood there and enjoyed watching them.
When the first song ended I started the next song. Good Enough
Dark Star came up to join me, sitting down beside me, her side pressed up against me. I smiled at her and she smiled back, then she laid her head down on me and began to nuzzle me. I couldn’t do anything but sit there and enjoy this. She felt warm on me, and looked so peaceful and cute. I couldn’t resist the urge to put a wing over her and hold her to me closely. She snuggled up to me as close as she could when I did. I chuckled and continued to Dj.
I was about to play the last song of the night. The club had been packed an hour into the night, and that was six hours ago. It was now 11:54, and the club had been jumpin the whole night. I had been sitting on my ass almost the entire night, but the good part about it was, Dark Star had been sitting in between my legs the whole time, my arms keeping me balanced and making sure she had no way to just get up and leave. Tonight was amazing, and it hopefully would only get better from now.
I began to play the last song the minute the other song ended. I chose a song that had been one of my old friend, Nightburn’s favorite song. Ghost Town
A bit evil sounding, i know, buck off.
After the song was over and everybody left, I met Dark Star over at the bar. She had ordered us both a drink, and even though I don’t drink, ever since that little incident in Las Vegas, I gratefully accepted it. After a bit of talking, I decided I’d escort her home. “Hey, How about I escort you to your place.” I said, a confident and cocky smirk on my face. She looked down and scratched the back of her head. “Actually, I don’t have anywhere to stay yet, I’ve just been sleeping on a cloud outside.” I place grabbed her by the hoof and took her outside. We locked the place up, then she turned to me. before she could get a single word out, I grabbed her and pulled her close before flying home.
When We got to my place, I took her to the guest bedroom I had set up. “You can sleep here if you want, me I’m gonna go check on Darta ok.” I walked over to Darta’s room and walked in. She was fast asleep in her new bed, a smile on her face. Apparently she was very pleased with her room. I closed the door and turned around, only to be met with by Dark Star’s puppy dog face. “Can I sleep with you, Talon? I don’t like being alone, and I’ve been alone for the past year or so.” I chuckled and nodded. She cheered and ran to my room and jumped in the bed. I just walked in like a normal gryphon, a smile on my face. Too bad I hardly ever sleep, cuz now I got spend all night watching her sleep. I don’t know why, but after I get one good night sleep, I stay wide awake for the next three days, and sleep very lightly. A pin hitting the floor could wake me. Although, I have managed to completely ignore certain sounds that i've gotten use to.
When I entered the room, I saw Dark Star laying on the bed waiting for me. When she saw me, her eyelids lowered halfway, and she had that same lustful smile she had an hour before the club had opened. I knew where this was going, and the same facial expression came upon my face. Guess she wants more of she got, and I’d be glad to give it to her. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a very impatient mare to satisfy, unlike the rest of you unlucky colts and gryphons out there, who probably haven’t gotten laid in like a month. This mare’s about to learn why the girls back home call me Lance-a lot.
chapter three: Firefight

I woke up with Dark Star nuzzling my chest and her hooves wrapped around me. She looked so cute and peacefully, I didn't want to wake her. She snuggled up closer and made the cutest sound I ever heard a mare make. I could feel her warm breath on my chest as she slept, but something didn’t feel right. I looked over and laying on my wing was none other than Darta. Jealous much. They’re both so cute, but i gotta get up and go. *Sigh, guess since they’re asleep then that means I can finally exercise my powers. I teleported to the door and looked back at the bed to make sure they were still sleeping.They began to stir, searching frantically for me and whimpering. Wow, they are really fond of me aren't they. I grabbed my sword
After I made it to an open field out in the everfree, I began to set up the targets and grabbed my sword. I closed my eyes and concentrated on clearing my mind. Once That was done, i fully released my powers, sending a surge of energy shooting everywhere. My sword began to glow as I ran towards the first target and slashed it in half, leaving a smoldering dummy behind me as I ran to the next one. strange, glowing,green marking appears on my body as I swung the sword, sending out a wave of blue fire. Oh yeah, I still got it.
I looked at the last two targets and smirked. I stood on my hind legs and held out my right claw and shot out a beam of energy, which left nothing but a massive crater stand where the two dummies had been. I cheered and did a little victory dance, but my celebrations was ended when I saw Darta and Dark Star standing over at the edge of the field amongst the trees, their mouths agape. Dammit all to hell. How much did they see, I must find out. When i flew over to them, they both took a step back, the smell of fear filling my nostrils.
“Did I forget to mention I can use magic? oops, my bad.” II said nervously, scratching the back of my head. They both punched me in the gut and smacked me upside the head. “Well you should have told us you were this powerful, I mean, that's definitely something you tell your closest of friends, and your daughter!” Dark Star screamed. I hung my head and rested my sword on my right shoulder. “Yeah yeah yeah, as if you'd believe me.” I looked up to see them both smiling. “Dude, you rock, I mean, your just so buckin awesome!” she screamed. “Yeah dad, you are SO much cooler than my real dad.” she said, giving me a hug.
After talking for a bit, they joined me in training, which was actually much more fun than I thought it would be. We all were laughing and just having a good time, and when we were thru, we went and got something to eat. Naturally, I offered to cook.
I cooked them a nice lunch, and prepared a good dinner for later, and after we ate our lunch, Dark Star trotted over to me. “Hey, Talon, wanna go out tonight. I know this great restaurant on the other side of town.” She smiled sheepishly and scratched at the ground nervously. I smiled and gave her a little kiss. “Sure, sounds like fun, but who’s gonna watch Darta?” She smiled and closed her eyes. Guess she must have been telepathically talking to somepony because somepony knocked at my door.
She opened her eyes and smiled at me. “My sister’s here to watch her, don’t worry.” I looked at her curiously. She walked over to the door and opened it. WHen I saw who it was, my jaw felt like it wanted to drop to the floor. “Hey sis, this is my....friend, Talon.” she said as her and her princess Luna walked over to me. “Friend? I thought I was your... um...coltfriend.” I said with a smirk. “Hello princess Luna. It is an honor to meet you.” I said, bowing a little. She smiled at me and looked me over, circling me. “Such a strange choice sister. I would have never thought you’d chose a gryphon.” I smirked and held my head high, my chest puffed out. Luna poked me in the chest and giggled. “I’ll go get Darta so she can meet her foal sitter.”
I brought Darta to the living room where Dark Star and Luna were catching up. Darta fainted after seeing her foal sitter. Luna giggled and picked her up. “Aww, she’s so cute, but when did you have a child sister.” she said as she looked at the both of us. “Never, she’s his adopted daughter.” Luna looked at me curiously. “Um, do you mind explaining Talon?” She asked curiously. “Sure, but you may want to take a seat, it could take a little while.”
After a few hours of explaining and telling the story of my life, me and Dark Star left to go to the restaurant she had in mind. I was actually excited that I was going on a date with her. We walked out the door and decided to walk to the restaurant. We talked the whole way there, laughing and walking side by side. Occasionally, I’d say something stupid, but she’d just ignore it and laugh. I think I’m falling for this mare.
We arrived at the restaurant and were seated quite quickly. We placed our orders and started to talk some more. “So when you when they came at you, what did you do then?” I asked. “I ran, duh. I’m not about to fight a pack of D-dogs. Are you crazy?” She said, laughing slightly. we talked the entire night, just having fun. I felt strange around her, like I’d do anything just to be near her. I couldn’t explain it but, then again, love is never easy to explain., now is it. Even so, I’d called you crazy if you told me I’d be on a date with a pony a week ago, but look at me now. I’m falling for a mare of all things. Guess fate works in mysterious ways.
When we got back, we noticed a letter on the floor. I picked it up and opened it., then began to read out loud.
“Dear Talon Fang, we invite you back to the annual firefight competition. You were last year's runner up, and we hope to see you take another go at it this year. Just incase you don't remember, you need a team with at least 4 members, not to mention the small entry fee. We trust none of this will be a problem, though. We look forward to seeing you again Mr.Fang.

“Um, care to elaborate, Talon?” Dark Star asked, while cocking an eyebrow. I scratched the back of my head nervously. “Well, it’s a competition to see which world has the top warriors. We came in 2nd last year, but this year is gonna be different... mostly because I need to put together a new team.” I explained. Luna had been listening, this whole time, and chose now to speak up. “Um... can you explain to me just what all happens in this competition?” she asked, her curiosity taking over. “Well, basically, teams come from across the world to fight and prove that they are true worries, and to win prize money, not to mention the sweet gear you can win.” I explained. “It’s sort of like a tournament, no, it is a tournament and I’m gonna win it this year.” I said, striking a powerful and commanding pose.
They look at eachother and smile, then they look back at me, smirking. “Nightburn.” they both said in unison. I took a few steps back, jumping when the door flew open. A flaming alicorn stepped in. Her mane and tail were made of fire and her eyes looked like glowing rubies. I took a few steps back and began to whimper. The most feared creature in the history of the gryphons was standing in my doorway, glaring at me, and snarling. “Y-your highness.” I managed to stutter out. “She is my wife, and she can help you with this competition of yours.” Call me crazy, but I don’t know about having someone who's slaughtered griffins and dragons on my team. “Sup, Talon, long time no see.” She said with a smirk. I jumped up and gave her a bro hoof. “Sup Nightburn, didn't think i’d ever see you again.” I said, smirking back at her. “Well, I’ve been busy with your future sister-in-law, we had a kid.” “So then, you ready to do this again. We need to show them what we’re made of.” I said, bawling up a fist and holding it to my chest.
“So, where’s Vortex? I thought she would be with you.” She said, looking around for her. I shook my head. “I don't know where she is. Last I heard, she was somewhere out near Wethoof.” I told her. Her horn began to glow. Suddenly, the room filled with light, and when it disappeared, there was a gryphon standing in the middle of the living room, looking around and blinking, unsure of what just happened. She looked over at nightburn, then face clawed. “I should have fuckin know it would be you, B.” She walked up to us and glared at her, then turned around and gave me a kiss. “Hey lover boy, how ya been?” I backed away and looked for Dark star, but she was gone. Next thing I know, Star has a knife to vortex’s throat. She gulped and looked at me, going wide eyed at the fact that there’s a knife to her throat.
“I probably should have introduced you to my marefriend, Dark Star.” I said nervously, scratching the back of my head. “Ya think you can, oh, I don’t know, GET THIS CRAZY BITCH OFF OF ME?!” I laughed and walked over to Dark Star. I lowered my head between Star’s legs and... she fell off, a dazed and happy smile, her tongue hanging out of her mouth, and half lidded eyes. Vortex looked at me like I was crazy, then gave me a punch in the arm. “I see you've already shown her the reason for your nick name.” She said with a smirk. I nodded and chuckled a bit.
“Anyways, me and Nightburn are gonna enter the Firefight this year. Wanna join us?” I asked. She thought for a moment, then nodded, a big smile on her face. “Of Course dude, you know I would never leave you guys hangin.” She wrapped her hoofs around our necks and laughed.
And like that, I had the first three members of my team. Hopefully, finding two more would be as easy. This is gonna be awesome, and we’re totally gonna win this. A devious smirk began to grow on our faces, which, if I wasn’t doing, would totally creep me the fuck out, but that doesn’t matter now, cuz I’m going to be victorious.
Chapter Four: The Hunt

I flew through the air, Nightburn on my left, and Dark Star on my right. We were following this big metal creature that had just appeared out of nowhere. Nightburn told me it was called a cyborg, and this particular cyborg went by the name of General Grievous.
We had been following it for a while now, but it hadn’t slowed down at all.. I made sure to keep it in my sites the entire time. Nightburn just flew beside me, looking like a deranged fangirl.
“Hey, Nightburn, what's with you? I’ve never seen you act like this before.” I said, raising an eyebrow at her peculiar behavior. She just ignored me for a while, till I smacked her to get her attention.
“S-sorry Talon, this is just a really big deal for me.” She said sheepishly. I Just laughed at her and patted her on the back. “So tell me, what’s so special about this guy?” I asked curiously.
She remained silent for a while, apparently either in deep thought, or just unsure whether to tell me. She took a deep breath before answering me. “He was a powerful Jedi hunter and a n amazing fighter. I’ve admired him ever since I was a kid, and he just happened to become my hero, despite everything he’s done.” She explained.
I cocked an eyebrow at that last part. “What's that suppose to mean? Is this guy evil or something?” I asked worriedly. Another moment of silence answered that for me.
I sighed , then smiled at her. “Well, good, evil, it doesn’t even matter. Not like we’re here to kill him, just to find out why and how’s he here, so don’t worry.” I reassured her. This seemed to bring a big happy smile to her face.
We began to lower when we noticed him slowing down. I nodded at both of them and they nodded back, their seriousness shown on their features. We surrounded him and waited. A blue pegasus with a blue and purple mane and tail stepped out of a bush and walked over to him.
Nightburn stepped out aswell and smirked at the pegasus, followed by me and Dark Star. “Hey, Stargazer, remember me?” She said with a smirk. The pegasus, who i guess is named Stargazer, shivered at the memories of her, then shook them off and smiled lightly at her.
“Um, are you going to introduce us?” I asked. “Oh yeah, this is my old friend,Talon, and his new marefriend, Dark Star. Guys, this is Stargazer. We’ve been really great friends ever since I pranked him and his friends with a horrible challenge a month ago.”
“By the way, Stargazer, what are you doing in my world with the great and glorious General Grievous?” She asked. Grievous turned to answer. “He’s here to help me get a job. He agreed to meet me here.” he answered.
“Um, ok, but what kind of ob could you possibly be suited for in Equestria?” She asked. “Well, there’s this pony who wants a manticore pelt, so I figured 500 bits could be a nice start for him.” Stargazer said. A large smile creeped onto all three of our faces.
“Apparently, Stargazer forgot to mention he knew the bride of a princess.” Nightburn said as she walked over to him. “I can get you a spot in the Equestrian army. Maybe you can straighten up our soldiers.” She said.
Grievous thought for a moment, then nodded. “I will take you up on your offer, but first things first, I must hunt down a manticore for my current employer.” Nightburn nodded and looked at me. “Mind if we help you out, and don’t worry about having to share the reward money.” I said. He nodded and turned to Stargazer. “So, Stargazer, you in?” he asked, looking down on Stargazer. “Hells yeah dude, this is gonna be fun, I can already tell.” he said, jumping up and high-fiving grievous.
“So, what are we waiting for, let’s get going.” I said, just seconds before a manticore ran right past us all. And just like that, I had found a great new friend and a potential 4th member for our team.
I know this one went kind of fast, and was kind of short, but I didn’t have much time to write this one so I decided to make it short. Hope you all liked it, and special thx to my pal, Burritoburger for letting me use his character.
