I looked at Grey Hoof and just stared at him for a minute thinking he was about to kick the living shit out of Buckshot when he spoke up finally. "Sounds to me as though we are being invited to the very place we were going to eventually end up anyway right? I mean as soon as we hear back from Digger we were going to be on our way either to Saltlick City or Manehatten depending on where we would be needed right Ruby, but this sounds like too good an opportunity to pass on I say we take it. After all Digger did say he would be gone a whole month right, so why not take advantage of this." Grey Hoof had a point I mean we were only in Appleloosa to rid the place of the raiders, and after we did that we really had no plans other than what we would be able to find in town or other places, but I did tell him that the choice would ultimately be up to Major Read and him alone, to which Buckshot agreed.

It was almost 0700 when Harmony decided to come downstairs and get something to eat when she noticed us around Buckshot. Now knowing her thoughts and feelings towards the n.l.r I didn’t know just what she was going to do, but she surprised all of us by trotting up to him and first slapping him, and telling him that was for being sick on the day of the n.l.r raid on the border, and second ordering him a drink. "Damn you buckshot why is it that anytime we see each other you are always surrounded by ponies, it is a common thing to see with you. I mean first you go off and join the n.l.r which my dad couldn't believe, and then you are found anywhere the raiders are. What are you hunting them down for what they have been doing and what they did to me in Detrot? If so I thank you, but wow give it a break the past is the past for Luna's sake. Oh sorry every pony this is the knucklehead that should have been on sniper detail the day we all met, had he been I think we all more than likely would never have met, I guess I owe him in a way for that. What is he telling you all about how he is in the n.l.r and has been hunting the raiders down, figures it was when I first encountered them and he was the one to make sure I was treated right by the n.l.r, we have been friends for a while now and he is a big part of the reason i can get along with the n.l.r. Most if not all of them know me I’m sure you noticed that with the n.l.r on the train before we got to Canterlot, and well I just wasn't expecting to see this ugly mug anywhere around here." She said with a chuckle, all of us just had blank faces and were looking at each other in shock that not only had she not tried to kill him, but they actually knew each other. It kind of did make since I mean she had been a member of the n.l.r for who knows how long before we met and it was obvious that she did know how to fight judging from the way she did at the border of Manetana. It was a bit of a scare that things could have gone the other way and it just so happened to be the day the sniper was sick, I looked at Grey Hoof and gave a weak smile at that fact and he just nodded back to me.

"Well I have to get going I’m going to see how Dinky is doing at the post office I’ll see you later you ponies, oh and yes we will all be there for dinner Buck count on it ok. I won't tell Dinky about who you really are I'll let you do that ok." With that I trotted out of the dining area of the hotel and was on my way to the Aplleloosa post office to check on Dinky. I made it there at about 0800 and trotted in to find her hard at work sorting both military and civilian mail with a big grin on her face when she saw me. "So tell me what Buckshot said, was he interested in us at all, come on spill it. Is he going to see us at dinner or no?" I started to tell her the truth but quickly gathered myself and told her that yes he was interested and that yes we would all be eating dinner together to which she squeed in delight. "We have to get hoovecures and a spa treatment before we meet him you know that right? I'm not going to meet him a sweaty mess form work I can tell you that for sure. After I get off we are both going ok and there is no arguing Ok!” All I could manage was a simple ok and nothing more kind of funny seeing as she was hell bent on being proper for this dinner considering what I Harmony and her had done not too long ago, but I figured id indulge her and just agreed to go with her.

I left the grey mailmare to her work and trotted out the door telling her I would be back when she got off work. I trotted back to the hotel and went to meet with my companions and let our dog out for the day and looking for Harmony to chat with her. "Well then Harmony you truly do surprise me every day I thought you were going to kill him to be honest, but just as I thought things were going to get ugly, you go and surprise him with a slap and a drink I am always in shock of you dear." "Thank you Ruby I have always had a way with ponies and it always comes in handy at times of course you already know that." She said to me with a chuckle to which I just gave her a kiss and went outside with our dog in the side yard of the hotel.
