Princess of Chaos

Eris stared out the castle window. The skies were dark and gloomy, a few cotton candy clouds were scattered about, chocolate rain pouring from them. She sighed. Normally, she loved chaos, but today just wasn't the day. " My dear, you seem upset. Something wrong? " Eris looked over. It was her mother. "Oh, hey Celestia..." she responded. " You know Eris, I prefer you call me " mom" or "mother". She turned to look at Celestia, " Nah, Celestia is just fine. " Celestia rolled her eyes, but then smiled and walked over beside her daughter. " Having a bad day? " Eris shrugged. " Ummm...did one of your pranks go wrong. " Eris rolled her eyes. " Oh! I know! Your crush  got back together with his ex and your REALLY jealous! " Eris then turned a bright shade of red. " Shut up! When did I even mention Blizzard?! Seriously mom? And how do you know I like him?! She was clearly annoyed by all these questions. Celestia then laughed and responded, " A mother knows her child as well as she knows herself! "  " Ugh whatever mom! What is it that you want?" The Sun princess then became serious, and said " I just wanted to know why your all upset and depressed. " Seconds of silence passed until Eris broke it with very quiet sobs. " I-I don't know...I just.." she wiped away her tears. " Im afraid, of one day having to take over. " Celestia wrapped her wing around Eris and then spoke "  Why are you afraid of ruling Equestria?"

Eris then started crying. " The responsibility's, mom! I'm not responsible, or calm, or have patience like you do! I'm immature and love pranking the crap out of ponies! I don't read letters and organize meetings! Equestria  is gonna fall apart if I were to rule! I cant ever take your place! I just cant..." The sun princess hugged her daughter tightly. " You must realize my dear, every Princess has their own title. One can not simply control the sun if that is the other ponies job. You will rule over what you are good at. Tell me  dear, what is it your good at?  Chaos, right? " Eris then took a deep breath and calmed down. " Yeah, I really like it. But, I also like Harmony, BUT then again, Chaos will always be the favorite."Celestia then proceeded  to explain, " Who sais you will rule alone? Your cousins, Nocturno and Aria will rule along side you. Remember, harmony cant be kept without a little chaos. " Eris smiled. " So, I've been meaning to ask you, what exactly do I rule? Will it be something different the what others do?' Celestia nodded." Yes my dear, for you will be, Princess Erissa Discordia, the Princess of Chaos! " Eris giggled. " Hehe..I like that title! Thanks mom! I feel better now! " It was no problem my dear, I am glad to help. "
