Once in a while, Ghosts choose the guardians that die first. Sometimes, not so much. This is the story of a trio of guardians who changed the war on The Darkness and prevented a second Twilight Gap. It all started with 3 Ghosts, and a body. One ghost activated it's revival light...
"Wake up, Guardian!", hoping the corpse would wake up. It did, and out came the restless soul, and in came Twilight Sparkle, new Warlock.
"What are you little things?", the Warlock asked in a nice fashion.
"I'm your Ghost, and these are your friends Ghosts. Welcome to Hell, or I should say, Earth before you died. Before The Collapse."
Shocked in horror, Twilight turned away from a nice looking plain to a destroyed building that was used for launching colony ships. The other two Ghosts went towards it, and so did Twilight and her Ghost. Inside, a ton of skeletons were found in a control room, and in that pile...
One of the Ghosts went over to the pile and activated it's revival light. Out of it, an arm popped out, and then a leg. And another. Out of the pile was Rainbow Dash, a Hunter. Immediately seeing the Ghosts, she bluntly said "I don't even WANT to know what's going on. Where's Applejack?" Her new Ghost took the message, and disappeared to Dash' s side. Both of them found two beaten, worn guns. A rifle, the M-212 burst rifle, and a handcannon, the Rattlesnake. Dash saw the revolver, and took it faster than a Guardian could die to the Cabal. Twi didn't want the handcannon anyway, she figured guns you could hold with one hand are weak and unfavorable to rifles. Dash asked "Where in the name of every thing on this glowing mess of Ear-", and was cut off by a simple answer by Twilight, an easy "I don't know." In a adjacent doorway, a couple Dregs and a Vandal popped out. Twi took out the Vandal by shooting it, and then blasting it with Void energy. As for Dashie? She jumped on one, slashed it's throat with a knife, then shot the other in the head, leaking Ether like water. Like blood. Coming into the doorway, the final Ghost rushed over to a box, and went behind it. After a few seconds, a Titan walked to the group, and announced herself in a very formal matter.
"Well, ya'll know me, unless you forgot mah name."
The Warlock stepped forward, and answered "Totally forgot your name, AJ. Why don't you say it? Also, there's your damn answer, Dash. So stop asking me."
AppleJack opened a nearby door by punching it, and the trio saw a beautiful looking sphere, and a city with lights. The trio saw nothing in the way, and three ships that seemed operational, just a little bit, but enough to reach The City. The last one. The three thought "Why waste a perfectly good ship?", and teleported in, courtesy of the Ghosts. The ships worked. They lifted off, towards the sphere, and The City.
The Guardians arrived at the tower, stunned by the looks of the building. "Welcome to the city, Guardians. The last one.", said Twilight' s Ghost, as the trio were pulled from their ships to the main courtyard. A loudspeaker came on, saying any new guardians should go to the Vanguards. A Hunter approached them, and showed the trio the way to the Vanguards. After a boring conversation with the Vanguards, the guardians were told to go down to the Cosmodrome, and find a leader of the House Of Devils, Riksis. It was explained to everyone that killing Riksis would lead the way to the High Servitor, Sepiks Prime, and maybe even the Kell of the Devils. The trio investigated in his last known location, Dock 13. The giant Captain leaped down from the ceiling, and then, something unexpected happened. Instead of firing on Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash, he turned around, and shot at an unknown thing, or things, his body blocking the view of the Guardians, and when they looked from beside him, they saw Thralls running at Riksis, trying to jump on him and slash his helmet open. The Guardians joined in on the fight, killing Thrall left and right. When the smoke cleared, Riksis was weak. The Captain took a knee, and just... waited. Applejack stepped up to Riksis, and punched him multiple times until the ground and her armor was nothing but black, and there was no Ether left to bleed. They had won, theoretically. Just not without help from a different kind of force.
