A Cordial Agreement
Twilight's golden rule was "No interaction with the product." Make it, sell it, forget about it... forget about the aphrodisiac she was mixing. That plan went great and all, at least until she spilled it on herself.
Twilight needs money for her experiments…. a lot of money. It just so happens that Flim and Flam can offer that kind of money in exchange for her skills. It's a simple arrangement. Flim and Flam send a letter, she creates the product, she ships it to them the next day. Easy as pie, right?
There's only one complication. The "product" is actually an aphrodisiac, and Twilight would have nothing to do with something so… vulgar. She is an upstanding pony who derives meaning from better things than, well… that. Her job is to synthesize it, sell it, and forget about it.
That plan went great and all, until she spilled it on herself.
