Ch4. Lunch Revelations. Part One

“Oh Rarity, This feel so perfect!!” The purple mare exclaimed in bliss, laying in a soft mattress as Aloe massaged her back, “I don’t know why I haven’t done this before!”

Rarity chuckled at the other unicorn’s antics, relaxing with a couple of cucumber slices on her eyes, “Darling, is unknown by me why colts despise so much spa dates, Is after all, an opportunity to relax and enjoy life,” She said as Lotus took care of her hooves.

“I know, As soon as I return to normal, I’m going to do this once a week!!” Twilight responded raising from her joy induced sleep, walking towards the mud bath at the end of the room.

“That wouldn’t be the first time you appeared to be less masculine colt in Ponyville,” Rarity said, joining Twilight in the tub.

“What’s that supposed to mean!?” the purple mare replied, a scowl present on her recently massaged face.

“Well, Dear, You always seem to…How do I phrase this...” Rarity paused with a thoughtful expression, “play for the other team as if…” The unicorn replied trailing off.

“What!!?, I’m not a coltcuddler!!” Twilight shouted startling the mare in front of her.

“Now, Calm down ‘Twilight’, you know that there’s nothing to be ashamed of, A lot of stallions had declared in public that they are coltcuddlers, and they had been accepted in society without any judgement.”

Twilight was positively infuriated at the moment, her horn ablaze with anger, hardening the mud over the tip of her horn,” I’m NOT a coltcuddler!!” She stated glaring daggers at the giggling mare.

“Of course you’re not Darling, I was just preparing ground for the next thing I was going to tell you," Rarity said, wiping the few tears that came out from her laughing, as the anger in Twilight’s eyes died down immediately.

“Argh, Gossip Rarity, Really?” The purple mare groaned in annoyance, slumping down on the relaxing mud, “You just discovered I turned into a mare a few hours ago, and now you’re sharing gossip with me?”

“Now now Dear, This one interests you,” She said, getting closer to Twilight whose ears had perked up in interest, “I am pretty sure Rainbow Blitz was ‘hitting on you’ as it is now said,” Rarity stated, looking as Twilight’s eyes widened in confusion.

“Rainbow Blitz, Hitting on ME?, I mean, The Rainbow Blitz, the most careless stallion ever to lay a hoof in Equestria?, For being the element of loyalty he really don’t know how to treat a mare properly, I’ve heard Cloudkicker talking about him, she said he couldn’t even keep a relationship with a rock,” The purple mare responded looking over at Rarity’s with an incredulous gaze.

Rarity even noticing the strange way of speaking of her friend, didn’t say anything, ‘That’s how a real mare would be saying right now… I should speak to ‘Twilight’ about this later, it could be an side effect of the potion’, she cleared her throat to call for the lavender unicorn’s attention.

“You did see the way he looked at you, and he even wanted to stay during your modeling, probably to check you out,” Twilight blushed loudly at the statement avoiding Rarity’s eyes.

“And what if he is ‘hitting on me’ I am a ma- stallion and when I change back none of this will matter anyways,” the lavender unicorn said, hoping that Rarity hadn’t noticed her slip up.

The ivory unicorn just sighed deeply, “I’m just saying, that you should tell the others before this escalate into bigger proportion,” she said getting out of the tub.

“Calm down Rares, nothing is going to happen, you just have to follow my lead, and everything will be solved out quickly,” Twilight said following Rarity out, “Where are we going after this?” She asked changing the subject.

“Oh!, we are going to have a delightful lunch at Sweet Apple Acres, Rainbow Blitz should’ve informed Applejack of the new visitor,” Rarity said pointing at Twilight.

“I hope Applejack don’t notice who I am,” Twilight said worriedly “He is the Element of Honesty after all.”

“I would be worried about him hitting on you,” The ivory mare said teasingly as Twilight’s cheeks heated up again, “You are a gorgeous mare in my opinion Dear, I wouldn’t be surprised.”

“Rarity, cut it off, Rainbow is NOT hitting on me, nor will be Applejack, could we please move on,” The purple unicorn said glaring daggers at Rarity.

“It was a joke, geeze Twilight, you have to learn how to laugh at yourself.”

“If you say so,” Twilight said, turning to face the other mare, “You think Fluttershy and Pinkie will be there too?” she asked raising an eyebrow to her companion.

“I think they might be, What kind of lunch would it be without all of us together,” Rarity responded trotting at a soft pace.

“Hmm, It makes sense, Do you think they’ll have planned something for me?”

“Knowing Pinkie and Rainbow they will,” The unicorn answered with a knowing glance.

Twilight groaned walking beside Rarity, she actually didn’t expected Rainbow falling for her, and she didn’t wanted to know what would happen if Applejack fell too.

“So, you’re tellin’ me that, a new mare just showed up at Dusk’s place, and you’re already droolin’ over her?” Applejack said while he walked towards the barn with a basket full of apples in his back, looking up at Rainbow’s lovestruck grin.

“I know right?, This Twilight Sparkle is absolutely perfect, her coat, her mane, her eyes, even her smile is too cute,” Rainbow said trailing off.

“Applejack stopped for a moment, shooting an amused glance towards the cyan stallion, “Wow  Blitz, ya fell really hard for that mare… and you’re tellin’ me this ‘cause…”

“I’m telling you this because I already called dibs for her, and If I called dibs for her first you can’t have her,” Rainbow replied matter-of-factly, landing in front of the confused stallion.

“You’re only tellin’ me this ‘cause Ya don’t want me to steal the gal from ya!!?” Aplejack said chuckling, “Blitz, that’s the single most silly thing I’ve ever heard,” He laughed while Rainbow Blitz frowned, stomping the ground with his hoof.

“Applejack this is serious, You’re not gonna steal that mare away from me!!” He said approaching menacingly towards the laughing stallion.

“Fine, Fine, I ain’t stealing this ‘Twilight Sparkle’ from ya,” Applejack said waving a hoof dismissively, “And even if I were, I’ll tell Dusk first, before tryin’ to hook up with his sister,” The orange stallion said, leaving the picked apples inside the barn as the pegasus smiled nervously.

“I-I was planning to tell him… when he arrives… but that’s not important right now” Rainbow Blitz said, exiting from the barn, Applejack in tow.

“I reckon you didn’t come here just to tell me to stay out of your way, did ya?” Applejack asked raising an eyebrow to his companion.

“Well yeah, I was wondering if we could prepare a lunch to welcome Twilight to Ponyville…” The stallion trailed off, looking at Applejack uneasily.

“We? as in you and me preparing a lunch to your mare?, I don’t know Blitz, is already late for lunch…” He said smiling teasingly as Rainbow’s smile dropped a bit, “Ah come on Blitz, I was messin’ with ya, off course we’ll handle the lunch!”

“You will? That’s great, thanks bro she will be pretty surprised,” Rainbow said smiling widely.

“Hmm, talkin’ ‘bout surprises, haven’t Pinkie already threw Twilight a welcome party?” Applejack asked, walking towards the Apple family’s house, opening the door until a Pink blur slammed him over.

“Throw a party to whom?” The pink menace asked casually sitting over Applejack’s chest, while Rainbow Blitz burst into a fit of laughter.

“Argh, Pinkie, you’re, crushin’ me,” The farmer said, pushing Pinkie from the awkward position they were in.

“Sorry Applejack, I just happened to be ‘round this parts when I heard you talk about a new pony in town, a NEW pony I hadn’t give a party yet!, which is really weird ‘cause my Pinkie sense usually tells me when a new pony arrives to town, and it hadn’t tell me anything since this morning… except for that thing with the oven, Oh Mr and Mrs Cake can be so silly sometimes, although-” Pinkie’s rambling was cut short by Rainbow Blitz hoof on her mouth.

“Oh, Pinkie you’re so random,” Blitz said shaking his head, “But actually we were talking about Dusk Shine’s twin sister, who just happen to arrive earlier today,” The stallion explained pulling his hoof from Pinkie’s mouth.

“Dusk Shine has ANOTHER SISTER!!” Pinkie yelled excitedly, some confetti blowing from her mane, “That’s great, I mean I’ll be the first pony ever to throw a party for the three Sparkle siblings, unless he is hiding more brothers or sisters from us,” The pink mare gasped, “Maybe he IS hiding his relatives, What if Blueblood is his long lost uncle? or if-”

“Pinkie, Why in Equestria would  Blueblood be Dusk’s uncle, he’s practically the same age as Dusk” Applejack said brushing his friend’s unfounded concerns, “But somethin’ that does sound suspicious is why Dusk never mentioned that he had a twin sister, I mean we are his friends for Faust’s sake, he should tell us more about his family and all,” He said a thoughtful expression in his face, feeling slightly betrayed by Dusk lack of confidence in them.

“Whatcha think Rainbow? Why hadn’t Dusk tell us that he had a twin sister?” Applejack asked the lovestruck colt, whose brow was furrowed in confusion.

“I dunno, she said she was doing research for the Prince, maybe she’s a scientist and she couldn’t visit Dusk often,” Rainbow replied looking seriously at the other stallion, he did found rather suspicious the fact that Dusk hadn’t mentioned his sister before, but for Twilight’s sake as much as his own he didn’t wanted his love to be accused.

“That doesn’t explain why he hadn’t mentioned anythin’ about his sister Rainbow,” Applejack said, a disapproving glance showing towards the cyan pegasus.

“We’ll ask her later then” Rainbow yelled slightly mad, “Anyways, we do have a lunch to plan, don’t we?” The stallion said changing the topic quickly as  Applejack shot him a look that couldn’t mean any less that ‘ we’ll talk about this later’.

“Off course we do, I’ll need balloons, streamers, a big white banner, some paint, and Oh! sweets and lollipops and-”

“Pinkie, it ain’t a welcome party, it’s more like a welcome lunch,” Applejack said as the excitement in Pinkie’s face deflated slightly, “But you could still help us with the food though”

that cheered the mare instantly, bouncing in glee Pinkie jumped inside the house.

“Yaaay welcome lunch!!” The pink mare called from the inside.

Applejack chuckled a little before turning to the cyan pegasus, “Rainbow, why don’t ya call Fluttershy for the lunch, she will like that,” the orange stallion said sighing a little, not wanting to think in what Flutters will think about he going for another mare, poor Fluttershy had been flirting* to Rainbow Blitz since Dusk coronation, and the clueless colt didn’t even acknowledge her once.

“Aye captain, anything else you need?” Rainbow asked in a mocking tone.

“We’ll talk ‘bout it later Blitz,” The orange stallion replied walking inside the house, leaving Rainbow Blitz outside with a troubled look that quickly vanished as he thought about the mare of his dreams.

“You’ll love this party  Twi, but not more that you’ll love me for this,” He murmured leaping to the air, “Well, Fluttershy first, Twilight later,” the stallion said smiling broadly at his own thoughts.

*Flirting: According to Fluttershy, The act of stammer something unintelligible, then run and hide when the colt/mare you liked approached
