I woke up, I wasn't in my bed, I looked around I wasn't in my boutique I got up and ran to a window. It was barred and I could barely look outside, there was a tall barbed wire fence and behind it a forest. This couldn't be happening I ran to the door and began pounding on it. "Let me out!" I screamed as loud as I could, when no pony came to the door I tried to use my magic but nothing happened. I went to a mirror that was in the room my coat had several black spots on it and my tail had been cut short. I felt them with my hoof they were crusty and began coming off. I finished one of them to see a large cut. I began freaking out and soon I was in the corner of the room crying.
"Time to eat." The door opened standing on the other side was a nurse. I left the room there were other ponies going the same way so I decided to follow them. I found myself walking next to a colt that was around my size he kept staring at me. Truth be told I thought it rather flattering for a boy to be paying attention to me though it was clear he had some else in mind than a date. Next to him was a little filly with a doll on her back. When it came to find a place to sit down I picked the furthest place from all the other ponies. The colt sat down in front of me and the filly sat on my left. The colt had a short tail and a scruffy light blue mane which I thought went rather well with his pearl coat. The filly was a dark purple and her mane was curly as well as a messy mixture of orange and black.
"Do you mind?" I asked the colt as he stared at me. To my surprise it was the filly that replied.
"He does this to all the new ponies." She said as she carefully cuddled the doll in her arms. "Isn't that right Miss Buttons?" She asked the doll and giggled as though as it responded.
"Um is she alright?" I asked the colt face hoofed.
"She has schizophrenia. This is an aylum new girl and judging by those spots of dried blood your not a nurse here." He replied. I almost began screaming I was surrounded by the insane. Then the colt spoke again. "Sorry where are my manners. My name is Schiz I'm here because I'm a pyromaniac and this here is Zelda he gestured to the filly."
"My name is Rarity pleasure to meet you." I replied
"Miss Buttons thinks your very pretty and was wondering why your here? I think its because the stress of being a designer and sister finally made you go insane and kill the annoyance." Zelda said she about laughed as she said killed the annoyance. I didn't know how to reply to the statement.
"Zelda time to see your parents." A nurse said as she walked over and Zelda got up and went off with the nurse.
"Just act normal around her, it's the best thing you can do for anypony here." Schiz said I just nodded how could I act normal in this dirty place. "You might want to see the nurse about those cuts." I looked at the spots of dried blood on my coat.
"And where would that be located?" I asked
"Follow me." He replied. We walked through the halls there were several things I wished I could unsee, such as a pony who kept trembling and seemed to be trying to eat his own hoof. As we walked further and further into the halls it seemed like the ponies kept getting worse till we finally passed two ponies in straight jackets and muzzled. Schiz tried to avoid looking at them, but I couldn't help but stare and wonder what was wrong with them. "Here we are finally." Schiz said as we walked in the nurse looked up and groaned at the site of us. "Nice to see you to Miss Killjoy." It occurred to me that Schiz must have come here often judging by the expression on the nurses face.
"What is it now?" She asked before looking over at me. "Oh I see the problem." She led me to a table where she washed the cuts and wrapped them up. "Now if I was you I wouldn't hang out with Schiz to much. He has a tendency to try to get into a girls pants if you know what I mean." She whispered in my ear I was unsure of what to think of it.
"Do not." Schiz said and the nurse grew a smirk on her face.
"You hit on every female patient in here!" She said laughing.
"Whatever I should go before somepony comes to find me." He replied and the nurse snickered a little and started going through files. We walked back to the lobby where a pony dressed in a nice jacket was waiting for us.
"Schiz I see your up to your usual antics." He said as Zelda walked out from behind him.
"Well you know I felt like I should give a tour to the new girl Doc." He replied and the pony frowned.
"You leave that business to me." He replied I had a feeling I had entered a twilight zone Schiz the rebellious teenager and the pony in the jacket was some form of principal. "I know my daughter Zelda thinks very highly of you but I will not have you just walking through the halls with a pony of the opposite gender." The pony was stern and cold and Schiz just shrugged.
"Whatever you say Doc." Schiz walked off with the filly I went to go with them but the pony stopped me.
"If I was you I would watch my step around these ponies." He said before allowing me to continue, it was weird having everypony warn me. But I guess it was normal since I was a sane pony in a insane asylum.
