Prologue: The War

Load Full StoryNext Chapter

Many moons ago there was an on going torturous war. This war was between the ponies and the draconequuses.

Upon discovering these creatures the ponies didn't agree with their chaotic magic and demanded the draconequui to conform to the law of their land; order. They refused, arguing that this is their land as it has been for many many years, thus they have every right to perform their chaos. From this the ponies believed they didn't deserve to be a part of this land, Equestria. In their eyes they weren't as innocent as they proclaimed, the were just trouble makers that would cause a rift between their harmony. So they decided to rid of them from them from their great land and so war was officially declared. The leaders of the draconequus species tried to reason with the critical ponies but they weren't willing to cooperate with them. They saw nothing but monsters.

The war went on for months. The ones in charge on the draconequus side were King Cipher and Queen Felicity. The queen was currently pregnant with their first child. They didn't want this war, they wanted to live in peace and harmony with all the other creatures who inhabited Equestria. Why couldn't they see that? Why did they decide they were harmful and needed to be removed? They had never showed any hate or destruction towards the ponies, nor did they ever intend to. The ponies just formed rumours and made false and unfair assumptions towards them which then dramatically led them to the situation they were now in. The King, saddened by the war that had befallen his kingdom, pleaded his people to refrain from battling with the ponies. But they refused and rebelled against their king. Too much blood had been spilled for either side to stop the battle.

More grim months passed as the war continued. The draconequus were growing weaker and weaker by the day. Many lives were lost on both behalves, but more so on the draconequus side. They were slowly becoming defeated and they all started to accept the fate that lay upon them.

The queen was ready to give birth to her child. A child she knew she would have to abandon straight after.

It was a boy, he looked so much like his father.

Three of the most powerful and wise draconequus were there to watch over as the life was brought into the world, they brought gifts. Knowing they were soon to be defeat they arranged to pass their powers onto the newborn. To make him the most powerful and gifted draconequus to ever exist. The plan was to make the child the last survivor of their species. In advance the leaders had pleaded Princess Celestia, the newest ruler of Equestria, to take their child once born and to care for him or at least protect him from having the same fate as them.

The Princess was against the war that was happening around her and refused to be a part of it. What had started out as a simple hoof fight evolved into a gruesome battle between her people and the draconequui. But she had no power to stop it no matter how hard she tried. Her attempts to talk sense into her people, speaking of peace and harmony that they held so dear, only fell onto death ears.

The leaders prayers were answered when Princess Celestia offered to help them and so she awaited the new arrival.

The wise three removed all of their magic and pushed it into the newborns heart as his mother held him close. Once the deed was done they simply left, to use their last efforts to fight beside their fellow draconequus.

With all the energy he received immortality was bestowed upon him.

The King did the same for his son. Then followed lastly by his wife.

Without further hesitation, one last glance at their son and a shed of tears the couple used the very last of their magic to teleport their beloved child to the Princess's possession.

Fluttershy was named after her great great great grandmother due to them both holding almost identical traits and appearances. The only difference between the two were their cutie marks, Fluttershy having three pink butterflies and her grandmother having a white rose with a pastel pink butterfly landed upon it.
