John Orion, the Scientist who has worked for the CEC Engineering track as well as been a part of the EarthGov scientific branch. He had a family of four, his wife and three kids, and was one of the happiest men among Earth and her colonies. He worked on the USG Ishimura for a few years, then moved to the Sprawl after being requested to help research weapon and armor technology. Sure, it was a tough job, but it helped with keeping food on the table.
Then, on his sixth year of being on the Sprawl, the Marker outbreak started, which caused a panic across the station. He was forced to take a few prototype weapons from the armory, and fight his way to his family. But once he got there, they were already dead... and changed to those monstrous things that now roamed the station, and John killed them so they could rest in peace. He was heartbroken right after that.
He then began to search the station for a way off of it, all the while he began to see his dead wife and children trying to beg him to save them and... make them whole, as they said. He knew they were just illusions, but they began to get more violent as he ignored them and refused to believe they were real. He managed to keep from breaking, if only just barely, and eventually found a ship big enough to get him off the station and back to Earth. There was a store on the ship, as well as a Suit Kiosk, and a Bench, which made him thankful for being both a scientist AND an engineer.
He took the ship and escaped the station without any problems, though he did wait for anyone who might have survived before he left... with no results, sadly. He eventually began to believe he was the only survivor of the station, and soon was in Light Speed.
Little did he know that there was some Marker technology built in the ship that caused the Light Speed to malfunction and warp him and his ship into an unknown location in space.
This story takes place here, in the eyes on John Orion, as he struggles with his past, and tries to survive long enough to see tomorrow.
