Fading Into The Black
Guilt
Load Full StoryPinkie Pie woke up from her sugar coma in a daze, Gummy was unconscious in the corner of the room, black soda leaking from his mouth. Pinkie stumbled around, trying to get her footing and finding difficult just to stand up. Pinkie had threw another party just for herself as she had done regularly on saturday nights, only this time she might have gotten a little more carried away than usual, busting out the extra sugar soda and spitting it in halfs with the baby alligator half way through that night before. Pinkie stumbled around into her room, fiddled around looking for the clock and finally found it and stared into it before her eyes finally focussed on the hands. "Oh gosh!" she said outloud to herself with a gasp, realizing the time it was. "Im going to be late!" she said to herself, already headed out the door. Pinkie started to trot quickly to her apple bucking mare friends farm, hoping she wasn't going to be late. "Ah! Apple Acres Farms! Yes!" Pinkie thought aloud to her self as he opened the wooden gate of the farm, quickly running into the barn. "SURPRISE!!!!!" she yelled as she opened the barn door with a wide smile and a little more than enthusiastic bounce. Inside the barn a purple pony along with a white and purple maned pony looked at her with a cold stare and a beaming eyes not even remotely trying to hide a hint of anger. "Pinkie Pie!" Twilight Sparkle said in a frustrated tone, "Do you have any clue what time it is?" She said to pinkie in the same tone but a little more raised. "Uh......Party time?" she said with a guilty smile. Twilight stepped closer and stood a bit more straight "NO! its 11 PM! Don't even think of saying Oh...i'm late? because you missed the whole damn thing!" She said almost shouting. "I......I-I....I Did?" Pinkie said leaning her head down, now looking more than guilty. Rarity stepped up to the same length of the purple unicorn. "Yes Pinkie.....i'm actually disappointed you can even think to show your face here..." the white pony said more calmly but more disappointed than her purple friend. "I'm sorry.....its was just another late night and I-" "Pinkie, we really don't want to hear it....we actually don't want to really see you right now" Twilight sparkle said with a sigh. "You know how much that best flyer festival ment to Rainbow, and you know how much she wanted to see us all there". Pinkie Pie stepped back and bowed her head in the same guilty fashion. "Where-.....Where are the others?" "Applejack went to bed after getting tried of waiting for you, Fluttershy went to go put her animals in bed" Twilight said with the raised tone again. "And.....Rainbow?" Pinkie said hesitantly. "....We left her there by herself, waiting for YOU!" Twilight said with a bit of a shout and a even more beaming stare. "Oh....gosh......i'm....sorry...." Pinkie said looking up at Twilight in the vain hope that she would be forgiven. "No. No more apologizes. Tomorrow morning first thing, were all going to Rainbow and you're going to tell her why we were all not there for her today." Twilight said to Pinkie, with an angry, stern tone. "Oh......Okay...." Pinkie said, trying to hold back tears. Twilight sighed, and looked back to the pink pony. "You can sleep here tonight.....i want to make sure you don't run away from us, trying to escape the truth to Rainbow tomorrow.." Twilight said to Pinkie, throwing her a blanket and pillow. "Oh.....Okay...." "Please....Please think about you have done Pinkie" Rarity said as her and Twilight left the barn, Twilight clicking off the lights as she troted away. Pinkie placed the pillow and blanket on the cold damp floor, a tear rolling down her face from the guilt of the conversation earlier with Twilight and Rarity, Pinkie Pie layed on the floor and rested her head on the pillow and put the blanket over her, and stared into the darkness. Pinkie thought about the day ahead and what Rainbow would say to her. Before she could really start to think about it, she drifted into a drowsiness before falling asleep on the cold floor in the barn of Apple Acres.
