Darkness... darkness was all I could see until a beam of light was formed in front of me. I was unconscious until I woke up in what seemed to be a forest. In this situation it might seem ok but the problem is... I've forgotten everything. I don't know who I am, how I got here, or even my name, but one thing was clear... I need to learn about my past. I didn't even know what I was wearing, I was to focused on panicking where i really was.
I was wearing what seemed to be leather armor along with some weak metal plating, it also had a cape for my left side along with a hood. I was carrying some weapons, a sword and a scabbard with some throwin knives in them. I was also carrying a shield with a weird shape. It seemed to shape like a battle axe but sideways. There was one last detail I need to mention... it appeared to be a great sword planted firmly on my back. When I took a closer look it had some odd decoration for the hilt. It was like a half circle frame with what looks like a sun in the frame, but whenever I try to unsheathe it it just doesn't want to budge... it was stuck.
That was all I wore but now my main objective is to get out of this forest. It was too dense for me to clearly search for an exit, and yet I didn't even to try the path that was In front of me... was I not smart before I lost my memory? Well anyways I decided to take the path that was In front of me and push forward.
It seemed like this trail would never end. With every passing moment I could feel my hope slipping away from my heart. But there had to have been something at the end of this trail, or else what's point of this then? I decided to rest near a rock and lay my head so I can regain some lost energy. I was really tired too because when I layed down it wasn't to long before I feel asleep.
I was feeling better once I started waking up but there was a strong smelly smell that smelled... smelly. So once I turned my head I was greeted with a wolf, but not just any wolf this wolf was made out of wood from the forest trees and roots. Quickly I jumped and reached for my sword but the wolf was faster than me and started bitting my hand. I started bashing it's head with my shield until it would let go and it did. Once it had let go I kicked in the face as hard as I could, the wolf staggered backwards as I reached for my sword and pulled it out. It was great to have a weapon but the problem was that the sword was about to break. Really? Who is dumb enough to let their sword rust and wither it into a condition to where it's about to break... oh... right.
Anyways right when the wolf leaped towards me I managed to raise my shield up fast enough to block his attack and push him away. Then I started for the wolf swinging my sword at him but the wolf dodged it and countered bitting my shoulder ripping one of the metal platings. While it was bitting me I quickly thrusted the sword into the wolf's chest, making him fall over to the side and shatter into a bunch of sticks. Thank goodness that was over.
I got up and investigated the now pile of sticks that used to be the wolf. Once I got a closer look I could sense the magic still disappearing from the pile of sticks. But before I could get a closer look I heard some more howls homing in on me. I quickly made a run for it, hoping that the wolves would not pick up my scent.
Running for quite a bit I think I've lost them. I took a stop and layed onto a tree catching my breathe. Since when did I learn to fight? Well it doesn't matter, right now I need to leave this place. Lucky for me I managed to find the trail again but it's going to be another long walk. While walking ahead on the trail I wonder where I really am. If this world has wolves like what I just saw then this is certainly not earth, but the question is where this place is. But the only thing I can do now is follow the path and hope for a way out.
Still walking hoping that this path will soon come to an end, i look and around seeing how all the trees seem to look similar. It's like the longer i stay in this forest the more the air gets thick and humid. But setting those things aside this isn't really a bad place, actually looks pretty nice to, maybe i can come back here sometime but for now my goal is to get out of here.
After about what seemed like hours of walking my eyes are hurting because of the blinding light I just found near the end of the path. Could this really be the exit, I was tired of breathing the thick forest air and it was still dark in this area. Once I reach the blinding light and exit the forest I can see a vast area of land as far as I could see. But there also seemed to be a cottage near the exit along with a lot of animals nearby. If someone lives here then maybe I can go home or even learn about myself. This is the path I take.
This... is where I write my story.
