Twilights Idea

As Twilight stood by the examining room waiting for the news on the pony she brought in. After an hour of waiting by the room, Twilight decided to go walk around to stay awake. As she started walking away one of the doctors came out and called for Twilight to come back. As Twilight turned around, she started heading back to the room to see what the doctors had found. When she got back to the room the doctor said “Princess, The only thing that we were able to find out about the pony you brought in was that she was extremely exhausted and dehydrated. This would explain why you found her collapsed on the edge of the forest.”  Twilight felt relieved at hearing those words from the doctor. “So everything is going to be alight for her?” The doctor nodded “Yes everything is going to be ok for her. Now we just have to wait for the medicine to kick in and for her to wake up. Are you planning on staying here until she wakes up?” Twilight nodded “Yes I want to make sure everything is alright with her and to find out where she came from.” “Well if anything happens to where you need a doctor just call for us or push the emergency button on the left side of the bed and a nurse will show up. Have a good day Princess” The doctor bowed down to the Princess before he left. “There is no need for formality doctor.” Princess exclaimed.

As the Princess continued to wait for the pony to wake up several of her friends started stopping bye to see if Twilight wanted to take a break to get something to eat. Twilight refused each one when they came in saying that she didn’t want to leave the pony’s side just in case she woke up and was startled. So each time the girls came in to check up on Twilight they brought her food so that she was not starving herself, Several time throughout the night the pony would act like it was waking up but she never did. As Twilight continued to watch the pony she noticed that the pony was acting like it was stuck in a nightmare that she couldn’t wake up from. So she decided when the next friend to show up that she was going to leave and go talk with Princess Luna in Canterlot to see if she could help Twilight find out what was wrong. A few minutes pasted by and Rarity showed up bring Twilight a drink. When Twilight saw Rarity explained to Rarity what she wanted to do. “I want to go to Canterlot and speak with Princess Luna and see if there is anything that can be done for this pony. It seems she is stuck in a nightmare of some sort. Before I leave I will send Spike here that way if something does happen while I am gone have him send a message to Celestia and I will get the information then.” Rarity replied “Go on dearest I have it under control. If anything happens I will let you know. Now go and get the help that is needed.”

Twilight rushed to the library to get what she needed before going up to Canterlot. She told Spike that he needed to go to the hospital and wait with Rarity just in case a message is needed for me. As Spike started running off to the hospital he stopped at the door and turned around “Twilight are you sure you don’t want me to come with you?” “No Spike I need you here just in case Rarity has something she needs to tell me about the Pony while I am gone and you are the only one that can send messages quickly to Canterlot. I appreciate you worrying about me Spike but I am only going to talk to Princess Luna. Its not like something bad was going to happen while I am there.”  At that Spike turned around and began running to the Hospital to sit with Rarity. As Twilight was packing her things to go to Canterlot, Rainbow Dash came in to see what was going on. “Twilight what are you doing? I thought you were at the hospital waiting for the pony to wake up.” Twilight began explaining “The pony is acting like it is stuck in some kind of nightmare and I wanted to ask Princess Luna if she knew a way to help out the pony since she can go into dreams to make sure everything is alright with the pony’s while they are asleep.” As soon as Twilight mentioned that she was going to Canterlot, Rainbow began getting excited “ Can I go with you Twilight? I could meet the Wonder Bolts while I am there hoping that they would let me join them.” Twilight turned around from what she was doing and told Rainbow “No Rainbow I am not going there for fun. I am going because I am worried about the pony in the hospital and was wanting help from the other Princesses. Maybe next time we can all take a trip to Canterlot together with the Pony when she wakes up.” Rainbow looked down “Ok I understand,” Then she dashed out of the room. Twilight finally finished packing what she needed to take with her to Canterlot. She turned around and left the library and began flying to Canterlot since the train just left and would not be back any time soon.

Twilight finally reached Canterlot and hurried to the castle to speak with Princess Luna. She entered the castle and began heading to the throne room to talk with the Princesses. When she arrived she realized that Princess Celestia was the only one in the room. “Well hello my faithful Princess Twilight. What can I do for you>” Twilight bowed down “Princess Celestia, I was wanting to speak with Princess Luna about a pony that I found outside of the EverfreeForest that seems to be suffering from a nightmare. I was wanting to see if there was anything she can do to help me find out what is causing this nightmare and get it fixed. The pony seem like it is wanting to wake up from the nightmare but is unable to wake up from it.” Princess Celestia called out for her guards to go and take Princess Twilight to where Princess Luna is at. “Thank you Princess Celestia,” Princess Twilight replied. As Twilight started to follow the guards outside of the room Princess Celestia said “I hope things work out for you Princess. I expect a nice report about your finding.”  “Of course Princess” Twilight replied as she left the room.

A few minutes later Twilight and the guards reached the room Princess Luna was in. Twiight knocked on the door “Princess Luna, It is Princess Twilight. I have a request to ask of you.” Princess Luna opened the door with her magic “Come on in Princess, what seems to be troubling you?” As Twilight was explaining to Princess Luna about the situation the pony is in, Princess Luna interrupted her. “Princess Twilight, I know that you are wanting to help out this pony and her nightmares but it is a long and dangerous task. I can take you with me to the pony’s nightmare but there is a huge risk involved in doing this. Once you enter the pony’s nightmare you are stuck there until the nightmare is solved. If the nightmare is not solved you will be stuck in that nightmare with that pony until it is solved or something happens to you or the pony in the nightmare. If anything happens to you in that nightmare will inflict the same thing to your real body. So it is a huge risk to take. Are you willing to sacrifice yourself to this pony?” The Princess asked. “Yes I realize that it is very dangerous but I don’t like seeing people suffer when there is a way to help them get through their tough times.” Princess Twilight responded. “Very well Princess, Please take me to this pony and we will begin the procedure to insert you into th pony’s nightmare.” As the two Princesses began heading back to Ponyville, Twilight began to think about what she was about to do and the consequences that were going to come from it if she did not come back from the nightmare. Princess Luna noticed Twilight was deep in thought about what she was about to do. “Princess Twilight, I know you are having concerns about what you are about to do but do not worry. We have faith in you that you will prevail from this challenge and will have a new friend from it as well.” Twilight looked at the princess “I know Princess Luna but I can’t help but think about the consequences if I cannot help the pony and solve the nightmare.” As they finally reached Ponyville, they began heading to the hospital to meet up with Rarity and Spike to see if there was any change in the pony’s behavior When they reached the room with the pony in it still hooked up to all the machines and asleep. Rarity looked up from the pony and instantly bowed down to Princess Luna when she saw her. “Good Evening Princess Luna.” “Hello Rarity and Spike” Princess Luna replied. Then she turned to Twilight “Are you ready to take on the task that you have asked?” Rarity looked confused “What task are you taking Twilight?” Twilight looked at Rarity and explained that she was going to enter the pony’s nightmare and try and help her out in resolving the nightmare so that she can finally wake up. Rarity looked shocked “You are planning on taking this task on all by yourself Twilight? Do you realize that if something happens to you in the nightmare that you might not be coming back?” Twilight nodded “Yes I realized the consequences of my actions and I am prepared to take the chances to save this pony.” Princess Luna smiled and reached into her bag and pulled out an amulet that was a full moon that splits apart. “Princess Twilight, I am going to give you this amulet. It has multiple abilities that will be able to help you out, One of those abilities is that you will be able to speak to anyone who is holding the other half of the amulet.” As she explained she took the amulet and broke it apart into two pieces, then handing both pieces to Twilight. “The other abilities are unknown even to me but seem to activate when the time is needed. If you or the person you give the other half of the amulet to loses or breaks it, all the abilities will disappear and you won’t be able to use it anymore.” “I understand Princess. I will take care of the amulet and I am sure that my friends will take care of the part that I am leaving with them.” Twilight responded as she handed a piece to Rarity. “Rarity I want you to explain to the other girls what I am doing. I also want you or one of the other girls to always be by this pony’s side with the amulet until I return just in case I need help from one of you girls. Spike I want you to go and tell all the other girls to come to the hospital and talk to Rarity so that she can explain to them the situation. I need to hurry up and get started with Princess Luna that way the Princess can return to her Royal duties that I have pulled her away from to help us out.” At this she turned to Princess Luna “I am ready Princess.” Princess Luna nodded “ Go ahead and lay down in the bed next to the pony and hold her hoof.” Princess twilight began to move the bed closer to the other pony that way she could reach the pony’s hoof like the Princess requested her to. Once Twilight was in position Princess Luna asked one last time. “Are you ready to start?” Princess twilight nodded “Yes Princess, I am ready.”  “Very well Princess Twilight. Close your eyes and good luck.” Princess Luna’s horn began to glow, Then both Twilight and the other pony began to glow as well. After a few moments the glow faded. Princess Luna turned to Rarity “Make sure that there is always someone here next to them to make sure nothing happens. Because Twilight is now inside the nightmare anything that happens in the nightmare happens here. So if Twilight gets injured in the nightmare somepony needs to take care of the injury out here. I must return to my royal duties. Take care of Twilight, Rarity” Rarity bowed “Yes Princess, we will take care of Princess Twilight” Then Princess Luna departed and headed back to Canterlot. A few minutes later the rest of the girls showed up and saw Twilight in the hospital bed and began to worry about her. Rarity explained the situation to the other girls to calm them down. When she finished explaining to them the situation they all settled down and began to work on a rotation that way not one pony was stay too long and causing them to be exhausted.
