Umbra's New Boy Toy

But the interior of the mansion looked as if it was taken care of for centuries. The decor inside was beautiful. Quartz explored the mansion while finding treasure and dispatching the weaker monsters along the way. Ranging from gold, to jewels, and some rare weapons.

'Wow, I've gotten quite a stash here.' Quartz thought to himself when he admired all the valuables he looted. As he wandered the halls a little more, he passed by a door that later carried a bright glow to it. He goes back, opens the door, looks inside and finds a golden treasure chest sitting on top of a large throne.

"I think I've hit the jackpot." Quartz said to himself as he imagined what the treasure chest may hold inside. Probably a rare item or a powerful weapon to add to his stash. He enters the room and opens the chest. Sadly, Quartz finds it empty. "What the hell?" He said to himself. What made it worse was when the door behind him suddenly slammed itself shut. Hearing the noise, he brandishes his sword and shield in a battle-ready stance.

"W-who's there?" He stuttered shaking on his hooves as to whoever had him trapped. The room he was in suddenly started changing and the golden chest disappeared. The throne soon turned dark as it carried a more sinister appearance as it turned black with sharp spikes sticking out. A black shadow materializes on the throne.

"My, my. I'd never imagined anyone would appear in my mansion." The shadow spoke with a sinister yet feminine tone. Quartz was afraid, but he lunges at the shadow and swings his sword at the shadow only for it to vanish. Quartz frantically looks around, and soon his weapons vanish from his grasp. He starts to panic and as he was backing up, he bumps into something. Or rather, somepony.

"I don't take to kindly to thieves in my mansion." The figure spoke again as it stared at Quartz with her green eyes.
