Hi my name is Peace Bolt.
A small creates cries out in a happy tone.
O and this little guy is Shade. He's a changeling. But not like the ones you would know. He can only change into animals, right now he's a little mouse. I found him all alone and hurt, so I did what anypony would do I stopped to help the little one out. After a while he became my good friend and has never left my side. We are going to my home which I've been a way form of a long time. Shade hasn't ever seen my hometown and I've been wanting to go home to see all my old friends again. I mean wouldn't you after being gone for three years?
"Hey Shade we're almost there. I bet we can get you some really good cheese when we get there."
Shade runs up my head and sits atop of it. As the town comes into sit over a hill, I can see something shining very brightly. It must be something new, but it's in the place of the library. They may have rebuilt it maybe or just removed it all together?
"Where to first? To the market or to my friends house?" Almost after hearing me finish asking Shade's stomach growls at me. "I guess its to the market to get you something to eat."
We made our way to the market passing new and old faces I remembered from when I use to be here last. I seen some with a friendly smile and a wave as I pass by and I can't help but return the smiles and a wave every now and then. I tried not to stand out too much. I know one pony I didn't want to run in to. 'If I run in to her I might be a dead duck. I did Pinkie promos that I would write her but I never could get to a post office to mail them.' I thought to myself.
As me and Shade came up on the market I seen an old hat that I know only one pony ware. She was at her family's fruit stand selling apples. I smiled as I seen that she hadn't noticed me yet. I walk up behind her. "Hey there little girl I don't see your brother around, are you lost again? " I said playfully voice. I just had a split second to move as her back hooves shoot out at my head. "Now is that your way of saying you missed me?" I joked.
Applejack gave me a deadpan look before she started to laugh. "Well lookly what the cat dragged in ifn't it ain't my old pal PB. When you get back and have you when an seen Pinkie yet?"
I gave her a sheepish smile. "Not... yet, but I know I should. I think I would rather be banished to the moon then let her see me right now."
"Well you did Pinkie promises that ya'll would write her. Can't say I blame ya for it." She took her hat off and looked at me. "Ya'll know your a dead pony walkin' right?"
I quickly grab my bags from my back and pull out a stack of unsent letters. "I didn't mean to I just never got the time to send them. Could you please help me and hove delivery these to her before she finds out I'm back?" I was as low to the ground as I could get in a bagging stance.
Applejack look over the letters then to me. "Sorry partner but you've made ya'll bed and all....." She patted me on the head. "But I know how you get sometimes you get to donning something and forget about what ya'll was do'n. I'll help but you're to give them to her not me."
I gave her a weak smile. "If she tries to kill me I'm holding you reasonable for it." We started to laugh at the old joke that I would use to refer to a bad ideal for my part. "Hey before I forget what's with the new building where the library use to be?"
"You're kidding right?" I shook my head. "You've not heard about the all that has happened around here? Oh boy. I'll fill you in on the way to see Pinkie."
As we made our way to Sugar-cube Corner I was floored by all that I had missed out on. Not to say that for once I had been the one to clean house. But to hear her tell the stories of how we have a fourth Alarcon Princesses I couldn't say much other than 'Huu?'. She finished telling me what was going on as we hear hoof beats nearing us. But they were that beats not steps. "Pinks over here!! I found something ya'd might want to see." AJ call out.
"WHAT IS? Is it a new apple pie with....." She had stopped dead in her tracks eyeing me. "IT PB!!!!" She screamed with joy and ran to give me a hug that feel like she was trying to take all the air for me. Then I was dropped like a rock as Pinkie Pie looked me up and down with daggers. "Why didn't you write? You Pinkie promised you would."
In speed that nopony could top not even Rainbow herself. I had the letters out and hit the ground holdings them up to her. "I kinda forgot to mail them sorry I didn't mean too.." Pinkie took the letters a started to read. In about ten seconds flat she had finished the last one and looked at me.
"Oakley dooley lockley. I forgive you. But you have a gift for all of us right?"
"I do but I don't want to spoil the surprise. Can you get the others and have them come here? Also included your new friend. Twilight Sparkle right. If she is as Aj talks about her then I would like to meet her." After I had finished speaking I had something or to better say someone thumping me on the head. It was Shade. "Sorry about that Shade we'll go and get whatever you want." I raised a hoof to pet him with a smile.
"A mouse, you have a pet mouse." Aj said deadpanning. "Let me guess found him hurt and scared so you picked him up got him all good then he just stayed with ya right."
"No, and yes he did try and kill me when I found him. But I'll tell you about that later right now we need some food. Shade lets go." Shade did a backflip on to my back as I took off back to the market. Leaving AJ confused and Pinkie laughing. "We'll be back this afternoon see you then." I yelled to them as me and Shade was driven to get food then talk.
We made back to the market and I had gone and spoil Shade again but this time I didn't feel so bad about it. Shade was sitting happily next to me enjoying his cheese and me enjoying his company and a carrot. 'Hey you try being alone and then have someone to be a friend out of nowhere.' I started to dig around in my bags and found an old dagger I had. "Shade remember this old thing and how I won you back after that guy tried to sell you to a zoo? I thought you was going to really eat him." I let out a big laugh as Shade laugh along with me.
"How could something as cute and small look like he would eat some pony?" A voice of silk asked.
I stopped as soon as I hear her voice dropping the dagger and jumping up almost falling right back down. "Fluttershy!......... I didn't hear you come up." Nether did Shade as he was in my bag faster than I had ever seen him move with his cheese in claw and dagger in tail no-less .
"Oo I'm sorry I didn't mean to sca.... Peace?" She was a bit take aback from seeing my face and came up to me with her motherly smile.
"Well I'd love to stay and chat but... Wow look that the time. Got to run. aha..." The laugh at the end sounding really fake. I jumped and speed off with a cloud of dust in my wake. If I remember one thing about her speed is that I could always run as fast and sometime on a really good day out run Dash If I need too on hove, and right know I really didn't want her to see me until later today.

"What just happen? I thought he would have wanted to at least catch-up a little." She pouted and thought about it for a bit. "Or is it he hasn't seen Pinkie yet? That must be it. If he's running that fast from me then it's because he's in trouble again." Smiling at old memories and shaking her head.
I had almost run out of the other side of town when Shade bit my ear to make me stop. "YAW... Shade that h... Did I just bolt again?" Shade started to shake his head in disappointment. "You know I can't help it after what happen.... Back then..." I let a heavy sighed out. "I know before you start I should let it go."
But coming home should let you reflect on what you did on a long journey. My journey was great when it was but it also had one part that will haunt me for as long as I live.
"Shade can you let me be for a bit. Just take a fly around town and find me in a bit." I put on a fake smile and Shade turned into a bird. He looked at me with worry. "I just need time, you know to get myself together can't go around like this." Shade nooded and took flit.
I walked around town with no place really in mine to go. I know the roads and every building by heart in town watch helps walking around with my eyes close to clear my head. 'Why did I flip out over her voice of all things and why did it trigger it.'
*THUD*
"Yaw..." I had ran into something hard and unmoving. I about knocked myself out cold but I only knocked my hooves out from under me. "What did I walk it to?" The pain coming from my head would let me open my eyes.
"Oh my, Sir are you okay?" Came a voice from somewhere.
"Ya, I've a hard head so I'm good. Though I can't see right now it will be a bit." I raised a hoof to my head and as it landed a sharp pain hit me harder the the hit and I hissed in pain.
"Let me take a look at that please. " The voice was come and the hoof on my shoulder let me know where they was. "I don't think I know you did you just move here?"
I tried to laugh at that but the pain stopped me. "No, more like moving back. I'm Peace Bolt. Whom may I ask has come to ad me?" I was a bit bitter at myself for getting in this and getting hurt.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle and you kinda walk in to my door. You have a cut on your head. Let me patch you up." She said.
"Why did I feel like I know that name..... Well this bump isn't letting me think right. I'll just ask AJ about it later." I feel a tingling cool come over my head as the pain was swept away.
"You know AppleJack?" She asked.
"Ya, her Pinkie, Fluttershy, Dash and few others here in town. Though I've been gone for three years. Just got back today." All the pain was gone and the tingling cool. "Thanks......" My jaw hit the ground just before I did. "Your Highness. I'm so sorry that you had to tent to me like that."
"No please, you're a friend of my friends I would not ask you to bow or call me Highness. Just Twilight is ok and I was helping a friend right?" She acted like a very caring friend and leader.
"So.. I'm going to guess your 'Twi' then." I would be lying If I said I wasn't put off guard by all this and maybe a bit shaky talking to her like this.
"Bolts!!! There you are. Oh hi Twilight." Came a voice form the past.
"Hi ,Rainbow." Twilight said with a smile.
"Well if it isn't my favorite Wonderbolt." I said smiling. "Dash did you make it in yet? I know you did right?" She hovered over to me and looked me over. "What?" She hung her head low. "No... well I'll see about that." At that she bust out laughing.
"It is you Bolts. But ya I got in. Thanks to Twi and everyone." She had her chest puffed out and a look for pride. I smiled so big I think I could out do Pinkie's.
"That's great to hear." Shade had flew back and find me as he landed on top of Dash's head.
"Hey, what do I look like a tree?" She yelled at him.
"Shade come down here and be nice to her." I told him. "If you start acting up no more treats." Dash looked at me and to Shade who was a Blue Jay.
"You name your Blue Jay Shade?" She asked landing next to Twilight. " And he listens to you?"
"Yes, and Yes. Shade is a really good guy. The only one that has stayed with me for I'll say four months when I left until now." Shade landed on my back and stayed there. "But I did hear something about you doing something bigger the big. Sonic Rainboom? So I guess the new name is SR now or just Rainboom?" I asked playfully.
"Don't you get her started back on that again. It took us weeks to stop that." Twilight said rolling her eyes. "And If you get her starter then you can deal with this."

If home is where the heart is, kill me now
I started to feel more at home the more I talked with them as we made our way to Sugarcube Corner after I had told them we would be meeting with the others here.
"So your castle is the library but not. How does that work?" I asked Twilight.
"Well its just that the upper half of the castle is off limits to other and the lower is open for all." She said with a grin. "Would you like to get a book some time?"
I nodded as we walked. We joked and laugh little longer until we saw Sugarcube Corner. I could smell the treats that was baked and it filed the air. Pink always did go all out with the treats when somepony came back or returned from a long trip. Why would I be any different.
"You two go on in there's one little thing I need to do." I smiled and started over to the side of the building.
"Really PB you have to do that now?" Dash asked with a joking smile.
"Come on you know me. I have to do it, or I would feel right." I joked back.
"What is he talking about Dashie?" Twilight asked her winged friend as she was going throw the door. "You'll just have to watch and see for yourself Twi."
There is one stone in the walkway up to the sweet shop that is lower the the reset and every time I feel that I'm out of luck or just need a bit more then I need I would always stomp a hoover in it and spin on that hoover. Its just one of the things I always did. I wouldn't feel right not doing it. As old and a new friend(s) looked on I did the rutted and stayed on my hoover as I bounced off the ground with a smile.
"Peace Bolts is now officially home!" Came for the shop. I laugh and walked in to the shop with Twilight looking at me with a confused look.
"Why did you do that?" She asked.
"Easy way to put it, Pinkie is just Pinkie and I'm just being me." I smiled.

"So where are the prize's you said you had?" Pinkie asked me.
"Hehe. Okay guess now would be as good of time as any." I laugh. "Okay everypony here its time for gives from me to all of you."
Everypony gathered around me as I pulled my bags from under a table. Shade jumped up on my head. "Okay the Cake's are first. " I dug in my bag and pulled out a bag. "This is a little thanks for all that time ago, and a little some thing for your little ones." I put the bag down next to them.
"You didn't have to PB...." Mrs. Cake said as Mr. Cake open the bag. I the bag was filled with Bits and two letters. One for filet camp and the other for Celesta's School for given unicorns. "PB..... We can't take this form you..."
"Yes, you can. You two helped me out so long ago this is just a little thank you."
"Who would have guessed that day I find a half starved pony whom only know his name and nothing else. Would come back like this for us. Thank you Peace."
"Its the lest I can do for you two." I smile and was giving them a hug.
"So he has amnesia?" Twilight asked her friends.
"Ya he doesn't know where he's form or how he got out there." Applejack told her.
"The only thing we know of him is that he's been here before Pinkie, Flutters and me came here. He was good friends with AJ and Big Mac when we got here and even give his home to Flutters so she could take care of the animals so they wouldn't go in to town looking for her." Dash added.
"Now for AJ." I dug in my bag..."Shade did you move it?" I looked up at him and he nodded. "Okay go in there and help me find it." Shade jumped in the bag and came out as a moues. "Did you find it?" Coming out with a rope in his tail.
"Did that thing just go form a bird to a moues?" AJ asked aloud.
"He did but I'll tell you about that later. Here you go a new rope made of the strongest and softest spites silk." I when back to the bag. "Rarity, I have a few rolls of silk for you." I pulled the rolls out and laid them down. "Rainbow, I have sines copes of Daring Do by A.K Yearling for you. Pinkie, 100% Co-Co coffee beans." I was pulling the last book out when Pinkie about jumped in the bag to pull out the fifthly pound bag. "Fluttershy? Lets see I think its in the other bag....." I was digging for bit as I tried to find the little book. "Aaa here it is a book on animals from all over. Its the new copy I've made."
As my friends toke there gives and some seemed happier then others on what they got. I'm talking about Dash. She looked like she would have a heart attack from being to happy. If that was even possible.
"Twilight, may I ask you something?" I asked as I walked up to her.
" Sure I don't mind. What would you like to ask me? " She smiled awkwardly
" I have this old book and nopony I know can read it. After talking with the others this morning I think you might like it. " I held the book up to her and smiled.
" Do you even know what it is? " She asked as she started to look it over. " Its old an- Sweet Celestial its from Clover the Clever. This is a hoof written journal to boot. " She was over joyed at it and that's all that matter to me she was wasting no time and looking over it a little more.
" Shade this is home. Here are my friends that are more like my family then any thing else." I was looking around and I didn't see one pony. She wasn't here. " Where's Drepy? "
" Don't you mean you foal-hound friend slash Filly-friend? " Dash asked then started to laugh.
" Well, not all of us have somepony we want and can't be with. " I said then " Soarin my love, how I want to be with you. " In my best Dash voice. I think I did it to well as everypony started to laugh and ask how I get that good as doing her voice like that. " Shade whatever happens I asked for it okay don't help me. "
Dash yelled as I leap out the door with her at my hills. I had jumped left the right as she came at me she missed every time.
" Is somepony going to help him? " I heard Twilight ask. " Na' its just the way they are. It will blow over in a bit. " AJ told her.
As Dash keep charging me I would move in time to one side or the other. After a little bit I was dancing and jumping around. " As you know. The one to go. Is the one not having any fun. " I sing-song told Dash.
" The only one that is going anywhere is you in 10 scents flat on your back. " She yelled.
" Oo I didn't know you cared. " I joked. " Fly all you want all that comes is a big boom. "
" PB don't ya'll do that ya hear me. " AJ yelled at me. " Its to late isn't it. I'll go get the broom. "
" AJ what are you talking about. " Twilight asked.
" PB your not going to be able to pull it off now. " Dash said as she flew up and then dived down.
" To late. " I told her as she came down in as rain boom I have a hoof in my lucky spot and the stomped hard making a boom of my own.
After the dust pasted I was laying down and Dash was in some hay. I stud up and looked around. " Well then nothing is out of place and little to no dust. But that did hurt more then ever. I've got to be getting soft. " I looked back at the others. " Fights over winner and still undeff... " I had passed out. Dash had ever done that before. I most be getting soft.
