Chapter 1

Fluttershy's POV
Do you know how hard it is to constantly hide away from things, you really don't want to? I mean, I don't want to, I just can't help it! It's basically in my name, and I can't do anything about it! I'm constantly sitting there, watching as everybody goes along in their day, not being afraid of their own shadow, not being afraid of tall buildings, not even being afraid of love! To be honest, love is the scariest thing in the whole entire world! I mean, yeah sure you get a good felling for a while, but later on you end up fighting and eventually breaking up, which leads everybody into sadness and regret. I NEVER want to feel those feelings.

NEVER.

"Hey Fluttershy!" A voice took me out of my train of thought and I immediately jumped and hid.
"Fluttershy, it's just me! Twilight!"
"Oh sorry Twilight, I was just thinking about something and you startled me! "
"Sorry about that. Anyways, The yearly spring fling is happening soon and I was wondering if you could help with the songs? I asked everybody but everybody already has a task, so maybe you'd like to help out?" Twilight asked me with a hopeful look on her face. Why didn't she just ask me in the first place? I ALWAYS do the music.

"Sure! I'll get my birds and we'll start practicing away." I told her, trying to stay as nice as I can be. To be honest I was a little hurt.

"Thanks Fluttershy! You're a lifesaver! See you in a few days!" She said while running away.

"No…. problem…" I sighed. I actually wasn't really planning on going to the spring fling, there's a REASON why they call it FLING.
