|| The Sleepover And Deep Thoughts || 1
It was a dreary day, and a nasty storm hung over the city of Canterlot like a dirty washcloth. The rain unmercifully pattered outside, the cold droplets freezing the air around them, making the atmosphere humid and chilly. However, a quaint, bubbly pink house was warm and cozy, and inside a group of teenage girls sat contently by a fire in a living room, exchanging colorful stories about funny in-life events or mythical tales of fictional characters. The story being shared at the moment was a spooky one, one meant to send little kids to their moms and beg to sleep in their beds for the night. And it was being told by the one, and only, Rainbow Dash. "And then, when they thought they were safe, they turned and were face to face with ... The Headless Horse-Man!" she exclaimed, emphasizing the climax by popping out beside Pinkie Pie and Sunset Shimmer, a bulky flashlight shining under her chin to create the bone-chilling theme. Pinkie let out an ear-piercing scream, zooming out of the room in a flash of pink. Sunset seemed a little phased, she had jumped in her seat and shimmied away from Rainbow, but she then let out a giggle. "Nice one, Rainbow. But, I think Pinkie just wet herself." she snickered out, gesturing to the door in which Pinkie exited from. Dash let out a hoarse laugh, proud of her own ' accomplishments '. "Yeah, that silly pony is probably going to wake me up in the middle of the night claiming the Headless Horse-Man visited her," Rainbow replied, standing and striding to the door. "Better go comfort her. Hey Pinks!" she called, her voice receding as she walked further down the hall. Sunset got up as well, and she switched the light on, and as soon as that light source was present all the tension was gone, and a few sighs of relief were audible. "Well, I don't know about y'all, but I sure am tuckered out. Imma hit the hay." Applejack announced in her usual Southern twang, making her way to Pinkie's bedroom where she had set up her apple pattern sleeping bag and pillow. "Yeah, I'm going to head off to bed too..." Sunset replied, following Applejack out the door and to the bubbly pink colored room. To her surprise, Rainbow had actually calmed down Pinkie and wrangled her into the bed, the energetic teen now curled up in an animal-istic ball and snoring quite noticeably. Applejack yawned, lazily taking out her hairtie, letting her silky blonde locks of hair ( that were very long when they weren't all scrunched up ) flow to about mid-torso length. She unzipped her sleeping bag, crawling inside as she got cozy, rolling over as she began to doze off. Fluttershy, Rarity, and Twilight piled into the room shortly afterwards, each making their way to their sleeping bags. Fluttershy's was decorated in vibrant pink butterflies, Rarity's in glamorous diamonds, and Twilight's a large violet star surrounding by other twinkling white specks. Sunset warmly smiled as the other teens turned in for the night, but she felt a bit restless. It was a Sunday, so she knew that she'd have to get some sleep, so against her better judgement, the red and yellow haired girl curled up onto a make-shift bed that was constructed out of blankets and pillows ( borrow by Pinkie, of course ). As she lay in bed, she felt her mind wander. She thought about the Battle of The Bands, and how she had finally proven to all of CHS that she wasn't a raging she-demon anymore, but an honest girl devoted to changing her personality and outlook on life around; she was determined to change for the better, and now her fellows student realized this. But then, she thoughts about the Dazzlings, and how they were completely ruined by it. She felt pitiful as a crushing thought made it's way to her mind. What if they have come to a realization that what they were doing was wrong? What if they didn’t understand … what if we could’ve taught them about friendship like The Mane 6 had done to me? After all, they’re sirens! It’s in their nature, so they must’ve not known how serious this behavior it was… But then again, in the halls … they were awfully mean and rude … but so was I. Sunset clenched her eyes shut, a migraine chipping away at her brain as she thought harder and harder about the subject. This was going to be a long night if she kept up these thoughts, so she forced herself to think about something less sensitive and heated. She eventually drifted off, doing the old favorite, counting sheep.
