Some people say that freedom is at a price. That the wind blowing in your hair, and the feeling of water between your feet can be taken away. I, however believe this to be false. Nothing can ever truly take away freedom, because true freedom comes from deep down in your heart. This is the story of a boy who almost lost all of that. A boy who almost lost all hope. This is the story of me, a regular human in a world ruled by ponies.

It all started on a nice summer day. I don't remember much of this day, because it was the day that I was born. The first thing that I remember seeing was my mother's smiling face, and when she started teaching me how to walk. I mastered walking fairly soon, and was nearly unstoppable when I learned to run. When running with my friend the eagle, I always felt this deep yearning inside of me to fly, and sometimes after the declaration had set in, I convinced myself that I could. When I was younger, my mother would complain about my constant restlessness and energy. One day, when it was cold outside, and all of the water was frozen, I was foolish enough to stick my tounge on an icicle. Let's just say I learned my lesson after that. The day of my sixteenth birthday was when the real trouble stared though. It was the day that changed my life forever. It was the day I first encountered THEM. The ponies.
