Everfree Forest, Afternoon
POV: Third person
The Forest is silent, as the two parties stared at each other. Waiting for the other to make their move.... which was then interrupted by a certain pink mare with a certain Cannon. *BOOM!* "HeytherethanksforsavingRainbowDashIfeelsoohappythatImgonnamakeyour'Welcometoponyville'partysoofun!heyheyheydoyoulikebonescauseyouradogandstuffordoyouliketoeatsomthingelsebecauseTheAuthorwroteyoutodosomethingelseOhdoyoulike,seehimtootheauthorImeancausehe'ssuchameaniepantsandhesalwaysgrumyevenwhenIcomeoverandgivehimaspecialpartytocheerhimupohIalmostforgotWhatsyourFavoriteflavorofcake???" In the distance, a crashing noise is heard.

Midnight
The Castle of the Two Sisters was quiet in the night, quiet as broken down ruins should be. The wind howls through the openings and cracks in the walls, its as if the castle its self is howling out into the night... suddenly the wind picks up. more than it usually did, a bright light begins to shine from inside the castle. A low hum cuts through the air, the hum escalates into a shrill tone, like metal being torn apart. Then, with a great clap of thunder. There is silence... the light fades. and there is peace once again. Inside the castle in the throne room, a Bipedal creature lies on the ground unconscious. A deep thrum begins to emanate from the creature as shadows curl up from it like smoke and form into a another bipedal creature, "Well, I have done all I can for you. little shadow. Use this chance wisely..." With that the creature vanishes into nothingness, leaving a softly snoring boy in a new and unfamiliar land...
Canterlot, Princess Celestia's chambers
The Monarch of the sun awakes from her Cake filled dream with a cold sweat. Breathing heavily, she mentally checks again to see if her fears where correct, and they were. A surge of foreign magical power of a worrying amount was coming from her old castle, the ancient wards there had woken her up from her slumber. she takes a moment to gather her thoughts and options, "I can't exactly send princess twilight a letter, nor can I alert Cadence and Shining Armor. And luna does not know of this, since it was my own Wards that warned me... I suppose this can wait till morning, since it is but only a couple hours away." She lays back down on her luxurious bed, and uneasily falls asleep.

Chapter 1: The Everfree shudders
The Next Morning, In the Castle of the Two Sisters
POV The Bipedal Creature
I feel, disappointed... disappointed that I had gotten so far, yet it amounted to nothing. I was so close. yet so far from my goal... all of this because I had gone and sacrificed my own life for that little girl. I had made the right choice... but what I hated was that I died. I wasn't done! so WHY DID I DIE!? I look around, after ranting in my mind about my supposed abrupt fate I had just noticed that I was in a Limbo like place, there seemed to be nothing as far as I could tell. "Well, this isn't so bad... kinda quiet, but peaceful too... is this what the afterlife is like?" I think out loud to myself. "Not quite, little one... your time is not nigh." "Do you not recognize your own mind little one? You are merely unconscious. you only need, to wake up..." "Didn't I just die???" The thought springs unbidden from my subconscious... weird, I should be dead from that Black Robot thing, kinda creepy how it sung nursery rhymes while if fought me... I look around to take in my surroundings, the first thought that comes to mind is: Broken. I seem to be in what appears to be a throne room of some sort, but it looks like time has crumbled some of the walls away and tattered the tapestries... Enough thoughts on that. time to get out of here, but first, Inventory check! Lets see...
-Black Hoodie: Check
-Black pants: Check
-Blackish boots: Check
-Black Face cloth: check
-Hidden Blades: check
-Throwing knives: check
-Fingerless black gloves: checkie!
-Hidden daggers in boots: check, check!
-Black dyed Leather armor under Hoodie and on pants: CHECK! :D
-Badass green Fire Magic: Check! check! check!
With that last check my hands burst into green fire, it doesn't burn me, but it kinda feels warm. considering is made of pure condensed hellfire... eh. whatever, the flames die out as I clench my hands, I set off at a brisk pace towards the huge double doors I saw earlier. then it hits me, "Wait, Why do I need to walk on two legs when I can run on four?" I mentally slap myself as I prepare to do a Transformation, I release the energy and immediately a burning sensation erupts across my body as my cloths turn to fur, and my hands and feet turn into paws. A tail shoots out of my back and my mouth and nose elongate into a furry muzzle, my ears become pointed as I begin to both hear and smell and see at a heightened level, completing the transformation into my favorite animal, the Wolf. I shake my coat and look around once again confirming that there are no signs of life. Then, with a great leap, I bound off past the doors and into the dark forest beyond...
Wait, where was I!? And which way was out of this forest!?!?

Chapter 1.5: The Great and Powerful Trixies Hat is murdered
The Everfree forest, near the swamps
The Creaking of wagon wheels penetrates the air to the annoyance of some of the creatures of the wood. Yet they dare not stop the wagon puller, in fear of receiving a deadly and annoying lecture by the Grumbling unicorn, "stupid twilight thinks she could best me...the great an powerful Trixe deserved to become an alicorn, but who becomes one? twilight Sparkle..." Her grumbling is interrupted by a black blur that bursts through the tree line and knocks off Trixie's hat, which then falls into the path of the wagon wheels, and then it gets crushed... Trixie then proceeds to scream her head off at the direction of the black blur for its sheer cheek while the hat is forgotten, on the muddy ground... (A certain song comes to mind...)

Chapter 2: The reason why Spike takes therapy.... Oh, Pinkie says hi as well!
Midday, Canterlot, Throne room
The quiet scribbling of a quill on a scroll can be heard from the now empty throne room, after addressing the last of the Nobles and their snobbish squabbles, the solar Queen had some time to herself. "My Dearest Twilight, it seems a foreign source of magic has been detected in Equestria. Namely at the old castle that me and Princess Luna used to reside in, it would ease my burdens if you where to go and investigate with the other Elements. Be careful in your investigation my faithful student, I will expect your eager reply. Sincerely, Princess Celestia. With a snap the scroll disappears in a green flash, the resulting smoke lazily curls out the open window behind the throne.
Ponyville, Golden Oaks Library
In the peaceful town of Ponyville, things, are not to peaceful. With all the crashing and racket coming from the now newly made Golden Oaks Library, it is enough to turn quite a couple of heads in curiosity towards the crystalline structure. While it seems like things are slightly hectic from the outside, the inside perspective is a different matter. "SPIKE!? SPIIIIIIIIKE!? WHERE ARE MY QUILLS AND SCROLLS!?" "I GOT EM TWI!" A sudden flock of quills is thrown across the room by a lavender aura, accompanied by a scaly little figure clutching onto the last one for dear life. Several other tomes and scrolls are flung into a pair of sky blue saddlebags bulging with the sheer amount of literature related equipment contained in them. Twilight Sparkle panics as she cannot find her inkwells as she uses her horn to upturn all of her books and desks in a futile attempt to find the elusive inks, "Twilight! The inkwell is up on the top shelf to your left!" Spike calls over from a pile of books that had swamped him leaving only is purple scaled head visible. "Thanks Spike!" The lavender Alicorn replies as she uses her wings to grab the inkwell with her mouth, forgoing the magic. This continues on for some time, a misplaced scroll, or a "essential" book. Not five minutes later the princess of friendship leaves her castle to go and meet up with her friends at Fluttershy's cottage.

"What do you suppose Twilight could have needed to ask us all out here post haste? I was making a fabulous dress that would have gone wonderfully with the new hat I had made! Wouldn't you agree, Applejack? Asks a prim white unicorn with what seemed to be an impossibly well coifed mane, "Ah told ya'll, if Twi' wants us to meet at Fluttersha's cottage, we sure ain't goin tah keep her 'aitn Rarity! Drawls a southern accented orange earth pony mare with a hay colored mane and tail. While Rarity and Applejack bicker over that matter like Opalescence and Winona, a timid yellow pegasus with pink mane over one eye quietly converses with a....well....a ridiculously pink earth pony that had seemed to be ignorant to the very laws of reality itself. such as hovering in the air. "Heeheehee! Thanks Ben! I like you too!" The pink pony says to the sky, "um...pinkie?...Who are you talking to?" The quiet pegasi asks. "Oh its nothing fluttershy, hey look Rainbow Dash is here with Twilight!" The small fellowship stop what they where doing and go to meet the RD and Twilight. Once together, Twilight shows them Celestia's letter and outlines her plan to find the source of the foreign magic, "Okay girls, I know a tracking spell that will help me locate the source of the magic from the ruins to whatever is using that magic!" She looks at them in turn, outlining their roles. "Rainbow Dash, being the fastest flyer there is. I want you to catch whatever it is we encounter if it tries to run off, Fluttershy, since you are good with animals if the thing we encounter is indeed an animal, then we are going to need your help to tame it. Applejack, if the Thing is hostile, then its your job to subdue it with your strength, Pinkie pie can help you with that." "Oki Doki Loki Twilight!" Pinkie replies with a mock salute. "Rarity can help me with the spells I may need to cast and she can also help me with protecting us all from harm, everypony know their roles?" 5 heads bob in union. "Good, then lets head out!" with that, the six mares set off into the forest. Oblivious to the pairs of green eyes following them....

Everfree Forest, Afternoon
POV: The Wolf
My heavy panting sounds like thunder to my sensitive ears, once undetectable odors invade my now enhanced sense of smell. My ears swivel left and right straining to pick up any sounds that where out of the ordinary. Eventually, I stop to catch by breath and take in my surroundings: Forest, forest everywhere. I growl in frustration, I was never going to get out of this forest!
Thats when I heard the screaming, shrill and panicked. It sounded like small children crying out for help. Locking onto the source of the screams with my ears, I speed up and run as fast as my four legged body will allow. Becoming a blur of shadow. As I close in I begin to hear growls and barks that sounded like a wolf's, but it was strangely warped and sounded hollow. I pour on more speed, using my own powers to help keep my legs going. I burst into a clearing. Only to find the weirdest encounter I had ever seen, not even the influence of drugs could replicate this kind of weird. Sanity and it being lost aside, I had burst into the clearing to witness a bunch of what seemed to be wolves made of timber that drooled tree sap and glared at me with glowing green eyes, similar to my own eyes. Huddled together, eyes shut and waiting for the end where a shivering group of what seemed to be Technicolor equine like creatures.
Most of the weird looking wolves advanced on me slowly, glaring at me with eyes intent on killing. While some just continued to close in on the small group of ponies. I growled at the wolves in front of me, raising my hackles and baring my sharp white teeth. This made some of them stop right in their tracks and stare at me with confusion. But one wolf, apparently the leader, barked at them to keep advancing and attack. I decided that it was time to up the 'ante, I growled again, this time deepening my voice to the point where my growl sounded like a deep thrum. When I raised my hackles again, this time smoke curled off my fur. My glowing eyes started to 'drip' liquid green light, this terrified the wolves in front of me all of them except the Alpha fled from the clearing yipping in terror. I then turned my attention to the Alpha, we circled each other slowly, searching for each other's weak points. A scream interrupts our duel as one of the wolves makes a lunge for the group of ponies and bites down on the blue pegasus's foreleg, the pony screams in pain. I'm then knocked to the ground by the Alpha and pinned under his legs. "This cheating BITCH think he can best me? Well, we're just gonna have to remedy that!" I feel, anger. It builds up inside of me as the Alpha proceeds to loosen a victory howl, which is cut short by a tendril of shadow impaling its neck. The ponies gasp in fear as the now dead timberwolf is thrown aside and I stand up, green wisps of flame start to appear across my fur in fiery patterns. The other wolves then look upon me in complete fear, I then extend all my other shadowy tendrils. Grinning wildly, I advance towards the wolves, which in turn causes them to flee in mind chilling terror.
Once they where gone I started to calm down and return to my regular normal looking wolf form, I turn my head towards the ponies frozen in awe and fear and notice a puddle of red slowly spreading. Shit. One of them got bit earlier! I bolt over towards them intent on saving the cyan pegasus's life. They of course, scream and bolt away, revealing the wounded pony. I slowly trot up to her and nudge her, she twitches but does nothing else. Her breathing is shallow and ragged, I know that I do not have much time left, so I prepare to channel my healing spell into her body when I am knocked over by a bolt of lavender light. I snap around to the source of the interruption and see the five other ponies had came back and where now yelling at me in an unintelligible language, I could guess they were telling me to leave their friend alone. But I persisted and got back up and tried again, this time I managed to complete the spell before I was knocked down again.
As I got back up I was encased in a glowing lavender aura, that did absolutely nothing. this confused the purple looking unicorn greatly, I just ignored her and proceeded to check on my handiwork. It seemed that the spell was successful in stopping the bleeding and closing the wound, I grunted in satisfaction and sat down. Waiting to see what these ponies would do...
