The Moon Rises

                            Today was the day that the ponies of Equestria choose a side.

For some it was a hard choice. For some ponies like Twilight it was easy. She quickly walked into the door of the Solar Empire, along with her dragon Spike, who was now just as tall as her.

"Spike?" What do you think the Solar Empire will be like? Luna says it's complete tyranny in there, but it's Celestia. It can't be THAT bad...can it?" Spike looked at Twilight and said, "I don't know. Maybe it'll be the same. And i'm sure it's not as bad as she says." Twilight looked at Luna. "I hope your right spike..."

     Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash is stuck between her loyalty to Celestia, and her rights.

Wich one? I like Luna's cause, but I should stay loyal to the princess! Who to choose, who to choose...

Rainbow Dash had a hard time deciding, but in the end, she knew who it was. Rainbow walked into Luna's side. Luna's right. For the longest time we've bowed down to her, following her commands, even using the elements, all for her. Most ponies don't even know our names. Twilight is a princess to and what does she do? NOTHING! BUCK CELESTIA! ALWAYS RESIST!

      A few minutes later, Rarity comes in. Hmm... let's see, Luna owns the Everfree and Baltimare, Celestia owns Ponyville and....*GASP* CANTERLOT!?!?! We'll I know where I'm going... ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY SUN BUTT! Rarity walks into Celestia's door.

" Why is it so bright in here?" Rarity asked nopony in particular. " I guess tthat's because the sun is always out."  Rarity jumped at the sound of a voice. "Twilight is that you?" Rarity asked. "I can't see anything. It's too bright!" Twilight looked at Rarity. "You'll get used to it. And yes, it's me. You might wanna put these on though." Twilight gave her friend a Solar Empire cloak. " The hood should protect your eyes from the sun."

Twilight looked at the Lunar Repiplic Posters with an angry face. "We'll be here for a while."

HMMMMMMMMMMM! Luna, Celestia, Luna, Celestia? I do like the dark...but Celestia will have all the sunlight! Oh I know! Enemy, Meanie, Mine, Moe, catch a bunny by it's toe if it hollers let him go, Enie, Meanie, Mine, Moe!  Pinkie's hoof was in the direction of Luna's door. She quickly hoped over and saw 'Dashie'.

"Hey Dashie! Where's Twilight and Raity?" Pinkie asked. "They're on the other side. I guess they like their precious princess better that freedom and rights." Rainbow said. "Luna told me to give you this vest if you came." Pinkie had a look of confusion on her face. "What if I didn't?"  " It wasn't likely that Twi would come to the Lunar Repuplic. Celestia IS her mentor after all. The Solar Empire owns Canterlot and Ponyville. Early wouldn't leave her Boutique behind and going to Canterlot is her dream." Rainbow explained. " We should wait to see where Flutters and AJ will go."

  Applejack knew what she had to do. As much as she wanted her freedoms, her orchand was there! Plus her crops wouldn't grow in the dark unless Luna cast a fancy shmancy grow in the dark spell on them. Applejack wasn't taking any chances.

    Applejack trouted to the Solar Empire. There she saw Twilight and Rarity sitting next to Twilight's Castle along with Sweetie Bell and Spike. Applebloom stood behind her sister. "Sis?" Applejack looked down at Applebloom. She had gotten a little taller, and had her cutiemark. "Yeah Applebloom?" Applejack said. "Why did ya stop? Don't ya wanna go over there?" Applejack asked. The Farmer sighed then walked to the Castle. As soon as she got close, Empress Celestia flew down to Applejack. "There you are! I knew you would choose me. A wise decision if I do say so myself." Celestia levitated a peice of armor and a small accessory shaped like her cutie mark (Celestia's , not Applejack's).

"Wear these. It shows your a part of the Empire. I hope you will be one of the gaurds when I need one during battle." Said the empress. Applejack put the accessory on her hat, and put on the armor. "Excuse me, Princess, but where's Rainbow and Pinkie?" Celestia had a sad look on her face. "They've joined the Lunar Republic. Let's just hope we'll have Fluttershy on our side." Applejack was confused. "What's so special about her?" The Empress looked back at Applejack. "If she joins, we'll have Discord on our side."

   Fluttershy's decision was the most important. Discord wouldn't leave her, so they would have the super hoof in the war. Deep inside, Fluttershy had always thought of Celestia as a Tyrant or dictateor. She knew she wanted the power to herself. She was also very intimidating, and the poor mare CLEARLY didn't like to be scared. At nights, Flutters would always gaze at the stars with her nocturnal animals along with Angel. It was so special to her that she felt as she couldn't give that up.

Since this was the most important decision, both of the leaders stood by their doors, each with a cloak of their respective colors in hoof. Fluttershy noticed that her former sun princess was sweating, and had a worried look on her face, along with a nervous smile. She knows. She's doomed and she knows it. Fluttershy smiled and walked to the Lunar Republican Kingdom. Luna smiled at both Fluttershy and Discord and welcomed them. The moon princess handed Fluttershy her cloak. "We thank you for choosing us. You will not regret it. We welcome you in open arms. But there's one thing that all the Lunar Republicans must live by" Luna pointed to the posters. "Always resist. Never obey."
