Chapter 1: Stupid Stick Wolves
My names Roxanne Marie Dotty, I know its a long name, but I like to be called Roxie for short. Im a simple Unicorn living in the city of Canterlot with my parents. I don't have my cutie mark yet despite my age, I just can't find what I'm good at? It's also one of the reasons why I'm so alone and quiet, just sitting in my room listening to DJ-Pon3 and drawing the animal life around me. So this is when I made the decision to start a new life and find where I belong! I hope I don't bore you with my little story. So one day, well more like one night, I crept out of my house with a saddle bag with a few of my possessions and made my way to a town I heard everypony talk about. Ponyvilla? shrugging my shoulders as I try to think of the name, oh well, it was something like that. Taking my time I make my way towards where (hopefully) my new home will be. Looking up at the darken sky I decided to stop where I'am and camp out in this...creepy forest I'm in, ugh hope that's the cold making my shudder. Quickly making a small camp fire I lay down to catch some shut eye before continuing towards um... Ponytown? Ugh so simple yet I can't remember the name.
Just as I was going into dreamland I heard a growl, quickly sitting up I look are trying to pin point where the noise came from. Looking over towards where the fires light didn't reach, I felt hot air blowing on my mane...but its the middle of Autumn? There shouldn't be any hot breezes unless....gulping down the saliva in my mouth I slowly turn my head, I spot a large wolf made of sticks? or yeah their called Timber Wolves, so then I must be in the Ever Free Forest!? Bolting up into a standing position I snatch up my bag and run along the small path towards Ponyville (HA I finally remembered it!). Ahem anyway just as I thought I was in the clear I suddenly felt a burning pain shoot up my hind leg, looking over my shoulder I saw the Timber wolf was biting down on my leg to try and slow my down. Ignoring the pain I quickly l bucked him in the nose as hard as I could with my other hind hoof. Hear the satisfying yelp and crumble of the animal I continue running towards Ponyville.
Hours later where Celestia's sun was just starting to rise, I slumped down onto the ground out of exhaustion and pain. I lift my head to see a large sign saying "Welcome to Ponyville, Home of Princess Twilight Sparkle, I hope you enjoy your stay!" Smiling tiredly I rest my dizzy head onto the ground, I finally made it. Falling into unconsciousness I failed to hear the surprised voices coming towards where I lay. Everything went black.
Hearing muffled voices around me I crack open my eyes to see six different types and colors of ponies around me. Two Pegasi, two Earth, one Unicorn and an Alicorn to be exact. Wait, Alicorn!? "Ugh, ouch w-where am I...?" I mumble out, looking around me.
"Whoa now, try not to move to much! You have a very nasty wound to your right hind leg...how did you get that anyway?" the Purple Alicorn asked with a bit of worry.
"I um had a little run in with those stupid stick wolves earlier, but really, what is this place I'm in?" I had to ask, this room is weird and sparkly.
"Oh um, this is my room and well, my castle...heh" The Purple one bashfully said....oh so this must be that new princess, Princess Sparkle?
Looking around at the other five ponies curiously "so who are you..?" I quietly asked, so not used to speaking so much around other ponies.
"My name is Rarity, I love to make gowns and dresses". she proudly said with a Canterlot accent.
"I um my names.......F-Fluttershy, I um like animals..." She said timidly.
"Ah'm Applejack and I live on Apple Acres where I buck the best Apple Trees ah'round". Said the country pony.
"Hi! Im Pinkie Pie! I make scrumdiddlyumcious pastries at Sugarcube Corner!" yelled the weird hypo one.
"Yo Im Rainbow Dash, the fastest flier and future Wonder Bolt in Equestria!" Boasted the colorful Pegasi.
"And I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle, but please just call me Twilight." She smiled down to me.
"Um my names Roxanne Marie Dotty but please call my Roxie" I nervously smile back to the other ponies before flinching, forgot about that bite..."Uh, do any of you ponies have a first aid kit? I kinda have an injury to take care of. Heh."
"Don't worry Roxie, I can easily heal this with one of my spells!"
"Ah....spells you say? They're save right?" I nervously asked, even though I'm a Unicorn I'm still a little funny with spells after an accident from my filly years, ugh theres that shuddery (is that even a word?) feeling again that was a dark day for sure...
"Oh don't worry, you wont feel a thing, I promise! " Twilight enthusiastically said before her horn started to spark "now just stay still and don't move, this shouldn't hurt a bit".
Yeah right! they all say that! Oh dear "wait don't....!" I frantically yelled and moved just as Twilight used her spell, missing its mark and caused the room to fill with smoke.
Coughing with the others I hear Rainbow Dash say something, looking up I see her clear the room using her wings before landing on the ground again. Looking around I see all the ponies recovering from the smoke and look over at me like I have two heads. Damn it, I suck at being calm and cool, I always cause trouble even though I meant not harm. What a wonderful first impression to Ponyville, it can't get any worst than this....uh right? I bet I jinxed myself now, good work Roxie, good work.
