The floor was a big picture of Nyx with her eyes closed.  Near her head were Mommy, me, Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, Twist, and Spike in small circles.  The rest of Mommy’s friends were on the outer edge. Just then, a strange voice spoke. So much to do, so little time... “Who’s there?!” I asked looking around. Take your time.  Don’t be afraid. “Where am I?” I asked, “Why am I here?”  I didn’t hear an answer.  Just then, three stands popped up in a triangle shape around me.  Three objects floated on them.  One was a shield that had Equestria’s symbol on it.  One was a staff that had a crystal shaped like Mommy’s cutie mark at the head.  One was a sword that was about my size and had the other Elements of Harmony in a red circle above the handle. Power sleeps within you.  If you give it form, it will give you strength.  Choose wisely. “I have to choose one?” I asked.  I didn’t get an answer again.  I looked at the objects again.  I picked up the shield and looked at it. The power of the guardian.  Kindness to aid friends.  A shield to repel all.  Is this the power you seek? “Helping my friends?  Is that what you mean?  I do like helping my friends... so, yes,” I answer.  The shield suddenly disappeared from my hands.  I jump a little as I look back at the other two objects. Now, what will you give up in exchange? “Give up?” I ask again confused.  I walk over to the sword and grab the handle. The power of the warrior.  Invincible courage.  A sword of terrible destruction.  You give up this power? “Destruction?” I ask a little worried, “I don’t want to destroy anything, so yes.”  Like the shield, the sword disappeared from my hand.  The staff and the stands disappeared too.  I looked around wondering what happened when another bright flash of light appeared in front of me.  I then saw a door standing there.  I walked over to it and touched the handle. A great danger lies beyond this door.  Make sure you’re ready. “Danger?” I asked worried again.  I wondered if there was any other way out of this, but I had no choice but to open it.  I turned the handle and pulled the door open.  A bright light was on the other side, so I put my arms in front of my face.  When the light went away, there was a new picture on the floor.  It was of Dinky.  Like Nyx, she had her eyes closed.  I saw Derpy, Sparkler, and me near her head in small circles. Sometimes you will have to fight. “Fight?!” I asked suddenly jumping again.  This time in fear.  Just then, a black creature appeared from the floor.  It had yellow eyes, small arms and legs, sharp claws, and two antennae.  More appeared around me.  I was getting scared.  I was wondering where Princess Luna was.  Then I remembered that the voice said I had to fight.  How was I going to fight these things?! FLASH!!! What is this?” I asked confused.  The voice suddenly came back. Keyblade... “Keyblade?” I repeated asking while holding up the sword in front of my face.  “Is that what this is called?”  I didn’t get an answer.  Instead, one of the creatures jumped at me.  I yelped in fear and swung the sword at it.  When the sword hit the creature, it turned into dark dust and disappeared.  I looked at the sword and my eyes widened.  “Huh?  Is that how I stop these things?  Hitting them with this... Keyblade?” I looked back at the creatures and saw them coming at me.  I put my other hand on the Keyblade and started fighting them.  Each one I hit turned into black dust and disappeared. After all the creatures were turned into black dust, a colored glass pathway appeared.  I walked towards it and began moving up it.  I looked back at the glass floor of Dinky only to see it had disappeared.  I looked back forward and saw another glass floor.  It was of Mommy and her eyes were closed too.  Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Fluttershy were in circles near her head.  Nyx, Grandpa Night Light, Grandma Velvet, Aunt Cadance, Uncle Shining, Princess Luna, Princess Celestia, and I were in circles in the edges. There was a light at near Mommy’s head.  I walked towards it curious. The closer you get to the light, the greater your shadow becomes. But don’t be afraid.  You hold the mightiest weapon of all. The giant creature made a fist and tried to hit where I was standing, but I moved out of the way.  A dark pool appeared where its fist hit.  Some of the smaller creatures appeared from the pool, but I got rid of them quickly with my Keyblade.  I then tried hitting the bigger creature’s arm, but my Keyblade just bounced off of it.  The creature then brought its fist back up. I tried thinking of a way to stop this thing, but then I saw it shooting dark energy balls out of the hole in its chest.  They were coming after me, so I tried moving away from them.  After moving around some more, the dark balls disappeared.  I then saw the small legs the thing had.  I moved over to one and swung at it making the creature lean forward a little.  I moved over to the other leg and swung at that one too, making the creature fall forward. The creature hit the glass floor making it shake.  I fell down too.  After the ground stopped shaking, I hurried over to the creature’s head.  I had an idea.  If my Keyblade couldn’t hit the creature’s arms and legs, maybe hitting the head would work.  The creature was moving its arms to stand back up, but I made it to the head before it lifted up and swung my Keyblade as hard as I could.  It cut through the creature’s head and the creature collapsed.  It started sinking into the floor turning into black dust. I looked down, and saw that I was sinking into the black stuff too!  My Keyblade disappeared from my hand, but I wasn’t worried about that.  I tried to pull my legs out, but I was stuck!  I couldn’t get out! You are the one, who will open the door... ...To light... Meanwhile... *Toby’s P.O.V.* Where am I? (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6xgfDaKr8Y)  What is this place? I don’t know where I am or what’s happening, but I’m standing on a strange circle shaped floor.  It’s a picture too; a picture of Momma.  I also see smaller pictures of Auntie Pinkie, Auntie Rarity, Auntie Rainbow, Auntie Twilight, and Auntie Applejack near Momma’s head.  There are more smaller pictures near the edge and I see one of me near the ones of my aunties, and one of Papa Big Mac on the other side. “Hello?” I call out, “Is anyone there?” No one answers me.  I continue looking around wondering what is going on and why I'm here.  Just then, a strange door appears in front of me.  I walk up to it, and try to grab one of the handles, but my hand just passes through. "Huh?" I ask, "Why can't I grab it?" Hold on. The door won't open just yet. First, tell me more about yourself. "Who's there?!" I exclaim looking around.  No one answers me.  I continue looking for whoever said that, but instead, I see my big sisters Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo walking onto the floor I'm on. "Big sisters?" I ask as they look at me.  They don't answer me.  I walk over to Apple Bloom first.  "Apple Bloom, what's going on?" "What are you so afraid of?" she asks me. "Huh?" I say in confusion.  What was that question about?  I think about it for a minute until I finally decide and answer.  "..."  After I answer, Apple Bloom disappears.  "Apple Bloom, where did you go?" I ask confused.  I turn to look at Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo.  I walk over to Sweetie Belle.  "Sweetie Belle, where did Apple Bloom go?" "What's most important to you?" Sweetie Belle asks. "What?" I ask even more confused.  Why is Sweetie Belle acting weird?  And why was Apple Bloom acting weird?  I then think about an answer to Sweetie Belle's question.  I look back to her and say, "..."  Sweetie Belle disappeared like Apple Bloom did after I gave my answer.  "Again?"  I look over at Scootaloo and walk to her.  Is she going to ask me a question too? "What do you want outta life?" Scootaloo asks me. "Hmmm," I hum thinking about Scootaloo's question.  After thinking about it for a minute, I look back at her and answer the question.  "..."  After I answer, Scootaloo disappears like Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle leaving me alone again.  I look around wondering what is going on.  Just then, a strange voice speaks to me. You're afraid of...  Your ... are important to you.  You want...  Your adventure begins at dusk. "Adventure?" I ask, "What adventure?"  The voice doesn't answer me.  I look back to the door and walk back over to it.  When I reach it, I try grabbing the handle again, and I do this time.  I pull on the handle, and a bright light shines through as the door opens.  When the light disappears, I see another picture circle.  It’s of Sister Sunset.  There are smaller pictures of me, Auntie Twilight, and Auntie Celestia near her head. Power sleeps inside you. The voice!  It's back! That power will awaken when you reunite with a distant friend. "A... distant friend?" I ask, "But who is it?" Your adventure begins at dusk.  Be prepared. Over the strange voice, I hear a familiar one calling me. "To..." "Tob..." "Toby?" It's Momma.  Wait... Am I having a dream? I groggily opened up my eyes and looked around.  I still wasn't quite used to waking up in the castle yet, but at least I had a good night's rest.  I trotted out of my bedroom and into the kitchen.  When I arrived, there were plates of four stacks of pancakes on the table, and Nyx and Spike sitting there, but Joshua wasn't. "Where's Josh?" I ask. "He's not up yet," Nyx replied, "When I tried waking him, he didn't respond." Joshua hadn’t woken up yet?  I was getting a little worried.  He never slept this late.  I excused myself from the room to check on Joshua.  When I peeked into his room, I saw him tossing and turning in bed.  Uh oh!  I hurried over to his bedside and tried to wake him up by lightly shaking his shoulder, but it wasn’t doing any good.  About half a minute later, he still hadn’t woken up.  I was getting really concerned now.  But just then, he quickly sat up, opened his eyes, and yelped. “AH!” he exclaimed. “Josh?” I said to him.  He turned to look at me and instantly wrapped his arms around my neck.  I brought my foreleg around him as he shivered from whatever nightmare he was having.  “Are you alright?" I asked, "You had me worried there.  I tried waking you up, but you weren’t responding.” “I... I... It all seemed so real," he said, "Those creatures, that sword, what does it mean?" "Josh?" I asked pulling back to look at him.  I almost wished I hadn't.  He had a far off, troubled look on his face.  "Sweetie?" I said waving a hoof in front of his face, "Are you there?" "Huh?" he said shaking his head, "Mommy?" "There you are," I said in relief, "What happened?" "It was so strange," he said, "There was a mysterious voice that kept popping up telling me what to do and where to go, and stained glass floors of you and everypony else, and black, yellow-eyed creatures, and a key-shaped sword." "Calm down, Joshua," I said to him, "Why don't you get dressed and tell us what happened over breakfast, okay?" “Okay,” he said hopping down off his bed and over to his dresser.  Since the library got destroyed, that meant all of Joshua’s old clothes got ruined too.  Rarity was nice enough to make him some new ones though.  I walked out of the room to give him privacy while he changed.  Afterwards, he walked out and joined me in walking to the kitchen.  When we all sat down, Joshua told us what had happened.  Like he said, there were stained glass floors of us and our friends, a strange voice telling him things, black creatures with yellow eyes, and a mysterious sword shaped a key. "Whoa," Spike said after Joshua finished, "That's one weird dream, bro." "No kidding," Nyx added, "But what does it mean?" "I don't know," Joshua replied, "But I have a feeling that dream was trying to tell me something.  But what?" "How about we look in the castle library after we finish breakfast?" I asked him, "There might be a clue or two there." "Sounds good," he said. Meanwhile... Fluttershy’s P.O.V. I was concerned (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RNHzt6pVlrE).  My little Toby was usually awake by now.  He never slept this late.  I walked over to his room and opened the door.  He was still sleeping, but he had a troubled expression on his face.  Was he having a nightmare?  I moved to his bedside and lightly shook his shoulder. "Toby?" I whispered in his ear.  He didn't wake up.  I tried again shaking a little bit harder.  "Toby?  Toby, wake up."  He opened his eyes and gasped.  He then looked at me. "Momma?" he asked. "I'm here, sweetie," I replied.  He sat up and wrapped his arms around my neck.  I put a hoof on his back and lightly rubbed it.  What could've happened in the dream he was having.  "What happened?" I asked. "I was... in a dark place," he said, "And, there were pictures of you and Sister Sunset on the floor.  Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were there and they asked me strange questions.  Then a strange voice said that I had an adventure that's going to begin at dusk." "Oh dear," I uttered, "Are you okay?" "I think so," he answered, "But, I'm kind of worried.  What did the dream mean when it said my adventure begins at dusk?" "I don't know, sweetie," I replied, "Maybe we should ask your Auntie Twilight about it after breakfast, okay?" "Okay," he said with a small nod. "I'm making you your favorite today," I said giving him a smile.  He gave a small smile at that as we headed towards the kitchen.  I just hoped that dream he had wouldn't affect him too much. Meanwhile... Nys'x P.O.V. After we all finished, and brushed our teeth, we went over to the castle library and began looking through the many books in there.  I could hear Joshua mumbling to himself on where to find those black creatures he saw in his dream.  All four of us had been leafing through the books trying to find answers, but we weren't having much luck. Heartless The Heartless are beings of darkness that manifest in two forms, "Pureblood" and "Emblem". While most Heartless are, in fact, manifested hearts, they behave entirely devoid of emotion, and thus were named "Heartless". Pureblood Heartless are natural Heartless, born from the darkness in ponies' hearts. They are ink-black in color, with yellow beady eyes. They are more common in places that are close to or saturated in darkness. Upon their destruction, they simply disappear in puffs of darkness, without a heart leaving its body. Emblem Heartless, on the other hoof, were originally created from machines that reproduce the process of a heart being consumed by darkness. Afterward, stolen hearts can become Emblems. They have more varied shapes, colors, and are branded with a heart-like symbol to differentiate them from the Pureblood ones. “‘Born from the darkness in ponies’ hearts’?” Twilight said confused, “What does that mean?” “Heartless?” Joshua said slowly, “That’s what those creatures are called?  What about that sword shaped key I had?”  None of us could figure out what that meant.  We all went back to looking through books.  A few more minutes, I heard Spike grunt in confusion.  Suddenly, he exclaimed, surprising us. “Ah-ha!” he exclaimed, “I think I found it!”  We all rushed over to him as his book was open to a page of what was a silver colored sword with the teeth of a key at the end of the blade and a yellow hand guard with a blue handle. https://camo.derpicdn.net/99407c65e529d71999f180e4024e6aae6089b16e?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.khwiki.com%2Fimages%2Fthumb%2F5%2F5d%2FKingdom_Key_KHII.png%2F451px-Kingdom_Key_KHII.png “‘Keyblade (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdJD6iaKQJ8)’,” he read, “‘The Keyblade only lets a chosen wielder hold it, but those with the strength of heart to wield a Keyblade are able to give or take them from others, or take control of them if they have been abandoned.  Those incapable of wielding a Keyblade cannot keep it, even if a wielder hands it to them.  A wielder is able to summon or dispel their Keyblades at will; however, it is implied that one can only wield a single Keyblade at a time, even if they have possession of more than one.  The Keyblade can also unlock and lock anything and is most commonly used to fight Heartless.’” “Keyblade,” Joshua said looking at his open hand. “It said that you can call it at will,” Twilight read again.  She looked up at Joshua.  “Could you try calling it?” “I’ll try,” I said.  Joshua looked at his hand again and seemed to be concentrating.  His brow furrowed a little but nothing came up.  He then let out a sigh of defeat and lowered his head.  “I can’t do it.”  Twilight put a hoof on his shoulder and he looked up at her. “Don’t worry about it right now, okay?” she said to him, “We’ll worry about it later.” “Okay,” he said nodding still sounding dejected. Meanwhile... Fluttershy's P.O.V. After (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LtYyDPDhGPA) we had breakfast, Toby and I headed to Twilight's place.  When we got there, Toby told her the dream he had.  Spike was there too.  Afterwards, Twilight put a hoof to her chin and thought for a minute, but she shook her head sadly. "I'm sorry, Toby, but I have no idea what it means," she said. "Oh," he replied sadly.  I put a hoof on his shoulder and rubbed it.  I then looked back at Twilight. "Is there anypony who might know?" she asked.  Twilight suddenly perked up. "Actually," she said, "Princess Luna might know." "Auntie Luna?" Toby asked. "Maybe," she replied, "Hey Spike?" "Yeah?" Spike replied. "We need a letter sent to Princess Luna," she said. "Alright," he said pulling out a quill pen and paper, "Ready and waiting." "Toby, how about you say what to write?" Twilight said. "Me?" he asked. "Why not?" she replied, "It is your dream, after all." "Okay," he said.  After thinking for a minute, he started dictating his message: Dear Auntie Luna, Last night, I had a strange dream.  In it, there were circle floor pictures of Momma and Sister Sunset, a door that wouldn't open, and my big sisters Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo were there.  They asked me some really strange questions, and after that, the door opened up.  There was also a strange voice saying that I was going on an adventure at dusk.  I'm worried about this, and Auntie Twilight said I should ask you if you know what it means.  Please let me know as fast as you can. Love, Toby After he finished, Spike rolled up the scroll, sealed it, and blew his delivery flame on it, sending it to Canterlot. "I hope she does answer quickly," Toby said twiddling his fingers. "Don't worry," Twilight said, "She will." BURP!!! That was fast, I thought as Spike grabbed the letter he burped out.  He walked over to Toby and handed it to him.  Toby unrolled the letter and read it out loud. Dear Toby, I cannot say for sure what your dream was about, but it is my belief that you had a vision of sorts.  A vision is a dream that tells you something is going to happen.  If what you say you saw and heard is true, then a strange adventure is going to be happening for you this evening.  All I can say is be prepared for the unexpected. Love, Your Auntie Luna "A vision?" he asked, "She means, I am going on some kind of adventure?" "It sounds that way," Twilight said, "I'm sorry I couldn't be of any more help, Toby." "It's okay, Auntie Twilight," he said hugging her, "I appreciate that you tried." I was now worried.  My little boy was going on an adventure?  What did that mean?  Would he be going alone?  Would he be alright?  I hope this doesn't mean something bad. Meanwhile... Joshua's P.O.V. Dusk... (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q1q18k3ceEA) That vision I had of the Heartless and that Keyblade were still in my head.  What did it all mean?  I was looking out from the balcony of my bedroom in the castle watching the sunset and wondering if it did mean anything or not.  Just then, I noticed some strange black clouds appearing in the sky and thunder coming from them. "Huh?" I mumbled to myself, "Was there supposed to be a storm tonight?" "No," said a voice behind me, "There wasn't."  I turned around and saw Nyx coming up next to me.  She put her forelegs on the railing and looked at the clouds forming with me.  "And I don't think this is an accident from the weather team." "Is Mommy back yet?" I asked a little worried. "No, not yet," Nyx answered.  Mommy went out to run some errands.  The sky got darker as more dark clouds appeared.  Just then, something appeared off in the distance that made my body get a cold chill. "Heartless!!! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-uAf1BvDq0)" I yelled pointing at the black creature.  Just then, more appeared all over the ground.  "They're here!  The creatures from my dream!  They're here!" I exclaimed now feeling scared. "Uh oh!" Nyx exclaimed looking down the balcony, "They're climbing up the castle!" I looked over and saw that she was right.  They were climbing up the castle.  What are we going to do?!  And where's Mommy?! "Hey!  Get down from there you shadows!" A rainbow blur whizzed right by and at the Heartless, knocking them off the castle walls and down to the ground. "Rainbow Dash!" I called to her.  Rainbow stopped in front of the balcony and looked at me and Nyx.  She then gasped and pointed a hoof behind us. "LOOK OUT!!!" she exclaimed.  We turned around and saw a Heartless jumping at us. "AAAAHHHH!!!" Nyx and I screamed.  Out of reflex from my dream last night, I closed my eyes and swung my arm at the Heartless.  Unexpectedly, I heard the sound of it being defeated when I hit it with the Keyblade from my dream.  I opened my eyes and saw the Heartless was gone, but I felt something in my hand.  I looked and gasped.  It was my Keyblade. "What in the..." Rainbow said surprised, "Where did you get that?" "I... It was a dream I had last night," I replied.  Nyx's eyes were wide as she stared at my Keyblade.  She then looked back down the balcony. "They're climbing up the castle again," she said worried.  Rainbow looked down and flew at them, knocking the ones she ran into off the walls.  I looked at Nyx, then back to Rainbow, and then at my Keyblade.  I was then filled with determination and ran back into the castle to get to the front door.  "Josh, wait!" Nyx called as she ran after me.  While running through the castle, Heartless were popping up out of the ground around us.  I got rid of the ones I could with my Keyblade as Nyx stayed close next to me.  It was tough, but we made it to the doors.  I didn't see Spike though, and I was worried about him.  He stayed at the castle with me and Nyx to look after us.  Nyx and I called out to him as we made our way through, but we couldn't find him anywhere in the castle. Nyx and I ran out the front doors, but to our surprise, Ponyville was gone!  The castle and a big piece of land it was standing on were in the air.  Wind was blowing really strong too. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!!!!"  I turned and saw Nyx flying up into the sky towards a big black ball. "NYX!!!" I called. "Josh!" said someone behind me.  I turned and saw Mommy standing there. "Mommy!" I exclaimed and ran to her.  We both hugged each other tightly.  "What happened?!" "I don't know!" Mommy said to me over the wind that was blowing, "One minute I'm coming back from my errands, the next Ponyville is gone and our castle is the only-AH!"  I looked back at what Mommy screamed at and my body went cold again. "It's the big Heartless from my dream! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48MgwOm3MDo)" I exclaimed, "We have to stop it, Mommy!" "Get on my back!" Mommy said to me.  I did what she said and climbed on with one arm around her neck and my other hand holding my Keyblade.  Mommy then began flapping her wings and took off into the sky.  The big Heartless did the same things it did in my dream.  It punched its fist into the ground making a dark pool around the fist.  Some of the smaller Heartless appeared from the pool, but Mommy fired her magic at them to get rid of them. The big Heartless then began shooting black energy balls from the hole in its chest.  They flew right at Mommy and me, but I got rid of them with the Keyblade.  Then the big Heartless sunk its hand into the ground, pulled back up, and had a big orange ball of energy.  The big orange ball then floated up and split into smaller balls that rained down.  I got rid of the ones that were going to fall on top of me and Mommy with my Keyblade. "Listen, Joshua," Mommy said, "We need to finish this now!  When I get close enough, you hit that thing as hard as you can, okay?!" "Got it, Mommy!" I replied.  Mommy flew circles around the big Heartless getting closer each time around while it kept on doing the same attacks.  When we were finally close enough, I held my Keyblade tightly in my hand.  We got close to the head, and I jumped off her back towards the Heartless' head and swung my Keyblade as hard as I could at the head.  The Keyblade hit the head and the big Heartless stumbled back.  Mommy and I landed down on the ground and we watched the big Heartless fall off the piece of land that was ripped off the ground we were standing on. Suddenly, the wind began to get stronger.  It was too strong for me and Mommy.  Mommy and I each grabbed a piece of what was left of our castle and held on tightly as the wind tried to pull us off.  My Keyblade suddenly disappeared. "Hold on tight, Josh!" Mommy called to me. "I'm... trying!" I said, "But I'm... slipping!" I tried to hang on as hard as I could, but my fingers slipped from the piece of our castle and I began to fly up. "MOMMY!!!" "JOSH!!!" Mommy called back.  The last thing I heard before being swallowed by the darkness was a dark chuckle. Meanwhile... Toby's P.O.V. When we got back, I was still thinking about that vision I had.  I was going on an adventure?  What kind of adventure was I going on?  Would there be problems I would have to face?  This was really confusing for me.  I could tell Momma was worried about it too.  As the day passed on, we did our chores, but didn't say much.  Angel Bunny tried to help us through the day, but we were still worried.  After dinner, I decided to go to bed early.  I was about to change into my pajamas, but a noise outside caught my attention.  I looked out the window of my room and saw that a storm was coming. "Auntie Rainbow didn't say anything about a storm tonight, did she?" I wondered aloud.  I heard a loud knocking from downstairs and walked out of my room to see who it was.  Momma got to the door when I reached the bottom of the stairs.  When she opened the door, I saw Auntie Twilight standing there.  She looked worried. "Twilight?" Momma said, "What's wrong?" "Fluttershy! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MfTx0alx45s)" Auntie Twilight exclaimed, "Get Toby and come to the library!  Hurry!" Auntie Twilight then turned around and ran back to the library.  Momma looked back at me as I came up to her. "Climb on, Toby," she said as she lowered down for me.  I climbed onto her back and wrapped my arms around her neck.  She then started running after Auntie Twilight.  I held onto her neck as tight as I could as she ran.  I then saw some scary, black looking creatures ahead of us.  They had two claws, two jagged antenae, and yellow eyes.  Momma opened her wings and flew over them, but they began chasing after us.  Suddenly, a lightning bolt struck the ground in front of Momma and she stopped and screamed.  When she stopped like that, it made me let go of her and I fell backwards away from her.  Momma turned to look at me and gasped. "TOBY!!!" she called.  I turned and saw one of those dark creatures jumping at me.  I covered my head with my arms when I heard magic being fired from behind.  I looked up and saw the creature turning into dust.  I looked behind to see who fired that magic and saw who saved me. "Sister Sunset!" I called as she ran towards me. "I'm coming, little buddy!" she said to me.  She then turned back to Momma.  "Go Fluttershy!  I've got Toby!" "O-Okay!" Momma called over the wind that was now blowing.  She turned and ran towards the library when Sunset got to me. "Climb on, Toby!" she said lowering herself down to me.  I climbed onto her back and she was about to run after Momma when I saw something.  Two red glowing eyes were looking at us. "Sunset, look! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1qkBMvffo5A)" I said pointing at the red eyes.  The red eyes disappeared as Sunset looked.  We looked around wondering where they went, when they appeared behind us.  They began to come at us really fast.  Sunset quickly turned around as I held onto her neck and she fired magic at whatever it was that was attacking us.  The thing jumped over us and dodged Sunset's magic blast.  "What is that?" I said fearfully. "It's called a Heartless," Sunset answered.  The red eyes appeared and looked at us again.  "It's a creature born of the darkness in ponies' hearts."  The Heartless ran at us again, but Sunset jumped out of the way and fired another blast of magic at it.  The magic hit the Heartless and exploded.  Just then, the Heartless roared as the eyes turned yellow.  It was all black before, but now it looked dark purple with purple claws, dark pink horns, a long dark purple tail, light blue stripes, and chains on its forelegs.  It sure looked scary.  It began jumping around us as Sunset kept firing magic at it. https://camo.derpicdn.net/1bcbd196af62c8bb04aa79e939bc5515f0cf46af?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.khwiki.com%2Fimages%2Fc%2Fce%2FDark_Hide_KHBBSFM.png I held on tight to Sunset as she fought against this Heartless while trying to protect me.  While she looked in front of her, I looked behind her to see if it came from behind.  It did a few times, but Sunset was able to stop it from attacking us those times.  It tried attacking us by swinging its claws at us, swinging its tail, flipping with its chains swinging at us, running at us with leaving fire paths behind it, and spitting dark balls at us.  Thankfully, Sunset was able to jump out of the way or make a magic shield around us.  Just then, after Sunset fought the Heartless a little longer, it spit out some strange colored smoke that began swirling around us and it.  It then made red, purple, and green copies of itself every now and then that tried to attack us, but Sunset was able to dodge them.  Finally, Sunset fired one big magic blast at the Heartless that hit it and turned it into dust. "You did it, Sunset!" I exclaimed, "You won!" "Thanks, buddy," Sunset said looking back at me, "Now let's hurry to the library.  Your momma is probably worried about you." But before Sunset could begin running, the wind got really strong.  It got so strong that it lifted Sunset and me off the ground and into the air. "Hang on, Toby!" Sunset said.  I held on as tight as I could as we floated up into a dark ball.  I was about to pass out, but I then heard dark laughter. Oh no!  Mommy!  Is she okay?!  And what about Nyx and Spike?!  Wait... If I got sent here... Did they get sent here too?  If they did, I have to find them! I continued walking, while looking for Mommy, Nyx, and Spike.  I looked everywhere in this town.  While looking, I saw that it was split into three “districts”, whatever those are.  I looked down alleys, behind buildings, and inside buildings too, but I couldn’t find them.  I then decided to start asking the people walking around town, but they hadn't seen them.  I walked up to one of the houses in the first district and knocked on the door.  Hopefully, whoever lived here would know something.  When the door opened... ... No way. It couldn't be. It's impossible! "J... Joshua?  Is that really you?" "R... Ryan?" I was shocked beyond belief.  One of my friends that was from my old world was actually standing right in front of me, alive!  I couldn't believe it! "It is you!" he exclaimed trying to hold back his tears, "I don't believe it!" "Ryan!" I exclaimed back about to cry, "You're alive!" The two of us quickly hugged each other tightly.  We hadn't seen each other in a very long time.  We were laughing and crying as we hugged. Ryan was a few months younger than me.  We met at preschool and have been best friends ever since.  He has slightly darker skin than me, black hair and grey eyes.  He was wearing a green t-shirt, blue jeans, and a white vest. "Ryan, sweetie, who's there?" said another familiar voice.  Ryan pulled back and looked into the house he came out of. "Mom!  Dad!  Sis!" he called, "Come out here quick!  You're not gonna believe this!" I heard footsteps coming to the door, and Ryan's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nash, and his big sister, Emily, appeared in the doorway.  They too were wide-eyed upon seeing me. Mr. Nash was three times taller than me, had grey eyes, medium tan skin, and yellow hair.  He was wearing a red t-shirt and black jeans.  Back home, he used to work as a relocation director from what he told me.  He helped people who were moving find homes to live in.  Mrs. Nash was a little shorter than her husband.  She had blue eyes, skin the same color as mine, black hair, and blue eyes.  She was wearing a blue blouse and a white skirt.  She was a school teacher. Emily was eight years older than me, had the same color skin as Ryan, blue eyes, and wore a pink t-shirt and a yellow skirt.  I never saw her real hair color, because she would dye it a different color; like right now it was pink.  Her finger nails were also pink.  Sometimes, when she wasn't in school, and Mom and Dad were working on the portal machine, she would come over and babysit me. "Joshua?" Mrs. Nash said in surprise, "Is that... Is that really you?" "Hi Mr. and Mrs. Nash," I said wiping the tears from my eyes. "But... but that's impossible," Mr. Nash said kneeling down in front of me.  He reached out a hand to me and put it on my head, then my shoulder.  "We... we thought you had died." "I thought you guys had died too," I said looking at all three of them, "What happened?  How are you guys here?" "Well, why don't you come inside and we'll talk," Mrs. Nash said, "I imagine we all have a lot to catch up on." I just couldn't believe it.  My best friend, Ryan, his sister Emily, and his parents were alive.  I just wish I had known sooner.  Mr. and Mrs. Nash walked into the house, but Emily stayed behind still staring at me in shock. "Emily?" I asked. Emily moved forward until she was right in front of me.  She then got down and put her arms around me tightly.  I heard her sniffling a little bit as she hugged me. "Y-You're alive," she sniffled, "I can't... I can't believe it." "I'm okay, Emily.  Really," I said hugging her back.  Emily was a lot of fun when she came to babysit me.  I often thought of her as a big sister.  Emily pulled back to look at me but still had her arms around me. "Where have you been all this time?" she asked. "Let's head inside so I can tell all four of you," I suggested. Emily adjusted her arms around me and lifted me up to carry me into the house.  Once we were all comfortable in their living room, and Mrs. Nash had gotten us all drinks, Mr. Nash asked me how I made it through the meteor storm that destroyed our world.  It took me about fifteen minutes to explain everything that had happened to me since that day.  At first, they didn't believe me, but when I showed them my magic powers by levitating my drink, they did. "Wow," Ryan said surprised, "That's quite a story." "Yeah, but what about you guys?" I asked, "How did you guys make it through that storm?" "We're not too sure ourselves," Mrs. Nash said, "but right when it looked like the end for us, a strange bright light surrounded us.  When it disappeared, we found ourselves in this town.  We've been living here since." "We all thought everyone we knew died when those meteors fell down," Mr. Nash said sadly, "Until we saw you again." "I thought I would never see you again, Josh," Ryan said putting a hand on my shoulder. "Me too, Ryan," I replied as we hugged. "Oh, it's so good to see you two together again like this," Mrs. Nash said smiling, "You were like brothers when you played together." After we pulled back from our hug, I heard a sudden scream. "HELP! "Shadows?" I asked. "They're beastly little black creatures with yellow eyes," Mr. Nash explained. "Heartless!" I said.  I jumped up from my seat and ran towards the door, "I'll be right back!" "No!  Don't go out there!" Mrs. Nash exclaimed, "It's dangerous!" But I was already out the door before she could reach me.  The voice sounded like it came from the second district.  I ran through the doors leading to it, and was face to face with a bunch of Heartless. Where's my Keyblade when I need it now?! I thought to myself. FLASH! I looked down at the flash in my hand and saw my Keyblade had reappeared. “Please stay with me longer this time,” I said to it as I put my other hand on it.  I ran at the Heartless and started fighting them, making each one I hit turn into dust.  It took a little bit, but I defeated each of the Heartless that was there.  I looked around trying to find where the voice came from, and I saw a big group of Heartless surrounding someone dressed in red.  I ran towards them as fast as I could. Toby's P.O.V. I opened my eyes and saw I was in a dark alley somewhere.  What happened?  Last thing I remember was Sunset fighting against a monster called a Heartless and winning, and then... Oh yeah.  We got pulled up into that big dark ball.  I stood up and looked around.  I didn't see Sunset anywhere.  I walked out of the alley and saw I was in a strange town at night.  There was a wall with a map on it.  I walked up and saw that it was called, "Traverse Town (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ynk-4E1PFtc)," I read.  I don't think I learned of a Traverse Town in Equestria. I walked around town wondering if I was even in Equestria anymore.  While walking around town, I kept my eye out for Sunset, my other big sisters, my aunties, and Momma.  I was really hoping they were alright.  As I looked, I kept on thinking I was being followed, but every time I looked behind me, no one was there.  Just then, one of those smaller Heartless appeared in front of me. "Uh oh! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U0Y7Eemh8cA)" I said to myself.  I turned around and ran as fast as I could.  I looked behind me, and saw that more of them had showed up and were following me.  "HELP!" I called out.  I kept running, but I was starting to get tired.  Suddenly, more showed up in front of me.  I slid to a stop and turned around, but the group chasing me was still behind me.  I was trapped.  One of them jumped at me, but I ducked to dodge it.  "Someone!  Please help!" SLASH! I turned around at that noise and saw that someone had come to my rescue.  He looked sort of familiar for some reason.  He began swinging a strange key-like sword at the Heartless, and getting rid of them all.  I couldn't get a good look at his face, because he had his back to me as he took out the Heartless. Joshua's P.O.V. I managed to get rid of all the Heartless that were attacking the boy, but I was panting heavily when I finished. "Are you okay?" the boy asked me. "I'm fine," I said I made my Keyblade disappear, "But what about you?" I asked turning around to look at the boy “I'm okay," he said, "Thank you for saving-!  *gasp* J-Joshua?” I gasped when I saw his face. “Toby?” I asked.  It was Toby! “Joshua! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6bWTL6_QVE)” Toby exclaimed wrapping his arms around me.  I brought my arms around him and hugged him back.  “I missed you so much, Joshua!” “I’ve missed you too, Toby,” I replied.  We stayed hugging each other for a little bit until we pulled back and looked at each other smiling.  “Are you okay?” I asked. “I am now,” he said, “Thank you for saving me from those Heartless.” “You’re welcome, Toby,” I said, “How did you get here?” “I was going to ask you the same thing,” he replied, "Was it those Heartless that did it?" "Yes, it was," I answered.  I then explained to Toby what happened to me and Toby explained what happened to him back on his Equestria as we walked back into the first district.  "Wow," I said surprised after he finished, "I'm sorry to hear that." "Do you think our mommas are okay?" Toby asked. "I hope so," I replied as I knocked on the door of Ryan's house.  The door opened up and Ryan was there.  He looked relieved to see me. "You're alright!" he said.  Then he looked at Toby.  "Who's this?" "This is Toby Mason," I replied, "He's from a different earth than the one we were from." After entering Ryan's house, and introducing Toby to Ryan and his parents, I explained to them what had happened recently with me on my Equestria, then Toby told them about what happened on his. "You'll find them," Ryan said to us, "I know you will.  If I know Joshua, then he's the best finder there is.  Whenever we played hide and seek with the rest of our friends, and he was the seeker, he always found everyone." "Thanks, Ryan," I said with a smile, "But if they aren't here, then where could they be?" "Maybe, they're all on other worlds?" Mrs. Nash suggested. "Other worlds?" I asked. "It's possible," Mr. Nash agreed, "They say that every star in the night sky is another world.  And the light that shines is the heart of each world.  Come to think of it, I think I saw two stars go out tonight.  They might have been your Equestrias, boys." "What do you mean?" Toby asked. "If the Heartless attacked your worlds, then they found the keyholes to them," Mr. Nash said, "Each world has a keyhole, and they lead to the heart of each world.  When the Heartless find the world's keyhole, the enter it and do something to the heart of that world, making it go out." "So does that mean, we'll never see our Equestrias again?" I asked worriedly. "Not necessarily," Mrs. Nash said, "If there's somebody behind this, and you find and defeat them, then whatever damage the Heartless did will be reversed.  I've heard a story about someone who was in a similar situation to yours, and his world was restored when he defeated the mastermind behind it." "That's good to hear," Toby said sighing in relief. "Well, we need to figure out how to get to these other worlds if our friends are on them," I said standing up from my seat, "But first, we'll need to find something to help you defend yourself against the Heartless, Toby." "What do you mean?" he asked. "Well, if we're going to find our friends, we're probably going to run into a lot of Heartless," I explained, "So you'll need to protect yourself if I can't." "How?" he asked again, "I don't have a Keyblade like you do." "True," I said crossing my arms and thinking. "You know, there's an item shop that sells shields," Ryan said, "We all have our own in case we need to protect ourselves from the Heartless when we go out there." "That sounds great," I said, "Where is it?" "On the other side of the Accessory Shop in front of the house," he said while giving me some coins, "Take some of my money and you'll be able to get yourself a good one." "Thanks, Ryan," I said putting the money in my pocket.  I then looked back at him.  "I'm really glad you're still alive, Ryan, but I need to go.  I've got friends and family that need saving." "You be careful out there, Josh," Ryan said putting a hand on my shoulder, "I don't want think you'll die again." "I don't know," he replied. Suddenly, there was a loud boom noise behind us.  We looked back and saw a light orange shape flying towards us.  Toby and I started running trying to not let it fall on top of us, but we couldn't get out of the way in time. "Oof!!!" we exclaimed.  The shape fell on top of us and knocked us onto our bellies.  Toby and I groaned at how much that hurt, but we also heard another voice groaning too. "Stupid Heartless," said a girl voice.  I looked to my left and saw that the shape that fell on top of Toby and me was a pony.  She was a light orange unicorn with a yellow and red striped mane and tail, greenish, light blue eyes, and a red and yellow sun cutie mark.  I then looked over the pony's body and saw Toby's head sticking out the other side. "Are you okay, Toby?" I asked him. "I think so," he replied.  The pony that fell on top of us looked over at Toby and she gasped. "Toby?" she asked.  Toby looked at the pony and gasped too. "Sister Sunset!" he exclaimed.  I raised my eyebrow.  I didn't remember a "Sister" Sunset when I was in Toby's Equestria.  Just then, large pillars erupted from the ground and blocked the exits out of the district.  Sunset, Toby, and I quickly stood up as Heartless in suits of armor appeared around us.  I got my Keyblade ready while Toby pulled out his shield, and Sunset charged up her magic.
