The Assassin's Creed
Chapter 12: Allies of the Creed
Previous ChapterNext ChapterWho are these ponies? Why are they betraying their brotherhood? I narrowed my eyes and used my Eagle Vision to see if they were friendly or hostile towards me. My relief was instantaneous when they were marked blue. I watched them fight from the rooftops and waited for the best moment to strike. Watching them fight will help me if they become allies with me and betray me.
I watched the fight go down for a while now and the guards seem to have a gun that has this black thing poking from their gun and that may be the reason that it doesn't make any sound. I need this for my hidden blades, I so very much need it.
Descending from the rooftops I realized that this may be a suicide mission for a small attachment but if I survived... this will be an asset for me. Is it worth the risk? When I was more closer to the ground, I waited for a moment and this unsuspecting guard came right below me, fighting one of the traitor Specialists. I used my Eagle Vision to make sure that if the Specialists were really friendlies.
I pounced on the guard and all of a sudden the traitor Specialist turned yellow with my Eagle Vision. What was that? That's never happened before. "Duck!" I heard a voice say and I ducked as an axe went past my head and into a Brute's throat, beheading him. I was shocked by the sight and my hoof quivered a bit.
A sword nearly hit me during my small state of shock if one of the Specialists hadn't countered the blow with their own sword. Being able to take a close look at all the traitor Specialists, I saw that they were all stallions. Why am I not surprised?
The Assassin that saved me used his other sword and stabbed the threat into their chest. I watched their body fall and the life drain from the body. Still recovering from my state of shock, I shakily drew my sword, my senses not at it's very peak. Just ignore it, you've been through this once.
I took a deep breath and steadied myself. Just go with it, you have allies, this time may be different. I expeditiously lunged at the nearest enemy who was a Specialist. I could tell my allies from my enemies because of the feature of marking allies and enemies with Eagle Vision. You unlock this ability through hard, patient and focused training and study.
I ran towards the Specialist leaping up and over him as I cut the back of his neck, cutting off the oxygen to their brain. A Brute and a Specialist both attacked me at the near same time. I jumped back, evading their flurry of swords, as I quickly shot two of my hidden blades into and through their neck. I ran over, retrieved the blades and loaded it into the hidden blade holder.
A duo of Specialists confronted me and I engaged them head-on, feeling the adrenaline coursing through my body. I wrapped my hoof over one of the Specialist's necks, drawing the Specialist's gun and shooting one of the Specialists in the head. When I made the full round, I used my hidden blades and cut their throat. I took the fallen Specialist's dagger and threw it into the last Specialist.
I attempted to shoot my hidden blades into a group of Brutes but my shot didn't go through and my hidden blades fell to the ground. I loaded the hidden blades back into their original position and tried again. Nothing. I checked the hidden blades and realized that I didn't have any gunpowder left. I loaded my hidden blades back into their holders and backed up to a weapon from a fallen Specialist.
Ejecting the gunpowder from a gun seemed to be harder than it looked as I had trouble with it getting stuck. I hoped that I wasn't going to be stabbed in the back. Specialists and Brutes finally took notice of me when I finished loading the gunpowder into my hidden blades. A Brute was disarmed by one of my allies but he ignored him and slammed my ally into a wall.
I adjusted the hidden gun to it's firing mode. The Brute started charging at me and he made contact with my stomach within a few seconds. I felt a lack of breath as I saw my allies in trouble and shot my hidden blades into my allies' troublemakers. I quickly drew my sleeping dart and injected it into the Brute. He fell to the ground within a good four seconds.
I stayed down, catching my breath. I looked at my outfit and it was stained in blood everywhere. I saw a hoof near my head, I took it and got myself back up.
"Why did you attack them? You have a perfect chance right now, why are you not trying to kill me?" I asked, but I wasn't complaining, this may have been about the best thing that could happen to me at the moment.
"We are Assassins of the Creed, Ray, not the corrupted one, but the one that you support. We have been trying to get Assassins to this place but Equestria is overrun with templars, assassins and corrupted brotherhoods. We could not get any assassins to come here. So we have come. My name is Kyros Auditore, descendent of the Assassin, Ezio Auditore da Firenze." one of them said.
"My name is Xerxes Kenway, descendent of the pirate Assassin, Edward Kenway along with Assassin Ratonhnhaké:ton, or Connor." Xerxes said.
"My name is Marnix de Grandpre, descendent of the female Assassin Aveline de Grandpre." Marnix said.
"I don't understand, why did you come to me? I'm just a regular Assassin, I am nothing special nor am I related to anyone important."
I was utterly confused by the looks they gave each other. They seemed really worried and I was getting worried by the silence that grew between us all. I wasn't sure what to make of this question, "Do you really not know who your ancestor is?" Kyros asked.
I shook my head. "I don't know who my ancestor is, let alone my real last name. My last name was something I had to create myself to fit in." After I said this, they all looked to each other. I knew this look, it's that 'should we tell him' look.
"What is it?" I asked. Marnix nodded, and Kyros replied "Your ancestor is Altair Ibn-La'Ahad and thus, your real last name is Ibn-La'Ahad."
I stood there in shock. Altair is my ancestor? But how?
"Right." I said, I couldn't think of anything else to say! I walked past them and went towards the gun with the black object sticking out. I took it off and looted the bearer of the gun for a second one. I think I'll call them suppressors, for they suppress sound.
I turned to face the new ponies that I now call allies. Now only one question remains, What do we do now?
