A pair of light slitted violet eyes stared out of a house located near the coast of Manehatten with eyes filled with sorrow as the eyes scanned the dock below. A sigh fogged the window slightly, but didn't seem to bother the one looking out of the window.
"Dream! Get out there and take care of today's shipment!" A male voice shouted from behind a polished wooden door. "And until you take care of that, there's going to be no dinner for you!"
"Yes, Father." She said with an immense amount of distaste enough for the male beyond her door to mutter about ungrateful brats. As moonlight filtered through the window, the female who had been looking out the window was more or less revealed the disgruntled mare. She was at least five feet tall on her fours and had a rather healthy thin body. She had a short mane colored dark purple that contrasted with her dark blue coat and her light blue tail was short enough to cover her privates, but long enough to reach her hind leg's lowest joint. She had a pair of leathery bat like wings folded onto her barrel that was also colored similarly to her coat. Her slitted violet eyes narrowed as she opened the door with her right foreleg and opened the door, revealing a lit hallway. As she exited her room, she licked her single remaining fang on the right side of her mouth. As she licked her fang, her left fang was also revealed, but seemed to have been broken away long ago. And as she trudged down the well-lit hallway with a noticeable slump on her body, one could observe a mark of a cannon that seemed to connected to a simply designed ship. Ignoring the glaring feeling on her back, she quickly made her way down the stairs and out a door to the docks outside.
She hated her father. Her mother, bless her soul, had always encouraged her to do what she wanted; but upon her passing, her father had dragged her out of Naval Officer Academy to work in his trading company. In front of dozens of other students and teachers, he had the guts to come in, slam a piece of paper declaring her resigning from school, and proceeded to drag her out. Narrowing her eyes at the memory, she headed towards where the nearest ship with the most recent shipment of spices arriving from Griffonia. Unlike the modern Equestrian Military Vessels, armored with the ever versatile brass-gold colored coronium, armed with the latest of magical tech, and possessing a magical barrier powerful enough to steer right through a hurricane without a scratch. And she was at the top of her class until she had been pulled out by the bastard of a father. She hated the half-wood, half-iron ships that most trading companies; including her father's, used. They were shaped much like regular wooden ships from nearly fifteen years ago, and performed just as they had. Unlike the modern navy, the trading fleets were slow and useless in her eyes.
As she continued on her walk to the office where she had to go over the day's shipments, a flickering light from out in the ocean drew her eye. The light faintly flickered from various shades of the spectrum, all in a unpredictable pattern. Looking at it in an confused manner, something in her gut made her continue to watch. Studying the area closely, she noted that a dark fog was around the lights, and blinked absently. If she remembered correctly, the weather pegasi had said that there was no fog scheduled until tomorrow morning. After what seemed to be several minutes, the lights began to blink slower and slower until the various lights stopped 'blinking' and turned into a single color. She idly noted that the color had now changed to a pure white color and then nothing. The fog that had set in the area began to fade steadily until all she could see was the open ocean once again. Getting on her hooves, she looked around quickly and with increased suspicion. Nothing natural makes a fog, shines lights through said fog, and just disappears as if nothing had happened. Whatever had happened, the fog was not natural. But she found nothing on the surface of the ocean and of course, she couldn't see underwater.
Walking hesitantly away from the edge of the wooden dock and back towards the office, she gave one last glance at where the fog had been before walking away. If she had looked behind once more, she would have seen a strange figure standing on water.

"How could Yamato not have given thought about how spatial travel would ruin any vessel below the size of a heavy cruiser's processing abilities?" A young woman, appearing to be in her early twenties, possessing dark grey eyes, and short blond hair; stood wearing what appeared to be a stereotypical maid's uniform with a strange sigil that was on the white apron that was on the front of her uniform. It looked to be a large circle with a dot in the center with a strange blade-like shape going down from the circle, which had curved sides that framed the circle. Adjusting a pair of glasses on her nose, she shook her head in a frustrated manner, shaking the frills that were on her white cap.
"Ugh. And of all the ships to survive the spatial travel was me and four of my twenty destroyer escorts, and Akagi and three of nine escort destroyers. How did we even survive?" She muttered with distaste and held out her left hand. With a burst of white hexagons framing the top and bottom of her hand, the two semi-glowing hexagons went up and down respectively creating a broom from thin air. "Not to mention that I have barely enough nano-materials to create a single corrosive torpedo. What was Yamato even thinking?"
Even as she muttered angrily while sweeping the top of her deck in the middle of the new ocean, she had her sensors scanning the local area of any other ships excluding the Fog ships around her. Thankfully there was none. As soon as she had assigned part of her processing powers to continually scan the area, she also began to look for the nearest deposit of metal to turn into nano-materials.
"At least Akagi decided to be the to build the harbor for us." The maid-looking Mental Model sighed as she did another diagnosis on her 'ship body'. "I'm still trying to get use to the total refit I went through..."
While the ship she was standing on looked very familiar, it had been overhauled for this mission to go to another world. The former battlecruiser sighed as she looked over her new battleship 'body' and admiring her increased processing power. Of course, she lamented the fact that they had lost nearly a dozen destroyers and light cruisers, but at least Akagi and she had been given authority to produce new Fog ships up to Battlecruiser level. And seeing as she was now a Repulse class battlecruiser with a build similar to the Oriental Fleet's Ise-Class Battleships. She had additional weapons, varying from photon cannons, high-angle laser weapons, and an multi-angle torpedo launcher. Not to mention that she how had a stern-mounted flight deck that use to have four Spitfire Fog Fighters. They had been lost in the spatial travel to protect her destroyer escort and Akagi had insisted she did not waste her nano-materials until more could be produced. Her new destroyer escorts, armed with torpedo launchers, photon cannons, and a light laser system, were also upgraded from their normal configuration to have slightly higher processing power and maintain a single aircraft at their stern. But seeing as she was a former battlecruiser level mental model, she had been forced to have two mental models for her ship. It felt rather strange trying to get used to Vampire sharing the processing power of a Flagship level Fog shop.
"At least I am in a new world..." She sighed while leaning on the broom and looked towards where she had emerged alongside Akagi and other Fog ships. "Hmm... I do need to gather information on this world." Continuing to sweep her deck, she hummed a cheery tune that felt rather familiar to her and foreign at the same time.
"I wonder what I should do..."

Dream narrowed her eyes once again at the pile of papers that her father gave her to organize. She wondered if that bastard had yet to notice that she already knew what he was doing while piling her with all of his work. Gambling, paying high-end prostitutes, and buying himself the best of things while he made her work for him for food and a place to live, not with bits. She wanted to set fire to all of this, but no matter what, all that would do was to make her homeless and penniless. She also knew about all those letters from the naval academy wanting her back, but thrown in the fireplace in his home, all letters from her mother's side of the family burned, and he merely replied that she liked working in this damned company. Not to mention that all of her movements were watched by his workers.
"Stupid bastard." She whispered as low as she could while looking over the numerous documents that had information on incoming shipments. Chancing a look outside though the window, she felt her gut tighten at the outside. A dark grey fog had once again set in the docks and she could see pegasi trying to dispel it with their wings, but without much effect. In fact, the fog seemed to be getting closer and closer towards the docks. "What the..."
Dropping the papers back onto the desk, she hovered out of the cornered desk in the wooden office and opened the window with her hooves and flew out, trying to see through the 'fog'. As she continued to fly straight through the fog while being alert of her surroundings, she noted one thing. Whatever was making the fog must be either powerful, or it must be something artificial to create fog of this level.
"Oh? It seems that there are curious ones that are willing to go head-first into a mysterious fog." A female voice suddenly threw her off, but the thestral mare merely looked around as carefully as she could while keeping her guard up. "It's no use trying to escape now, you know. My Klein fields already have you surrounded."
As if to prove what the female had just said, a circular barrier of white hexagons appeared around her as the fog receded enough for her to see around her. What she saw actually scared her and excited her. A dark-grey metal ship could be seen through the receding fog that had cannons large enough to fit her entire body, number of smaller cannons, and a massive structure that she felt was the bridge seeing as it seemed to have various panels with what appeared to be levers and a navigation wheel. But what really appeared strange was the massive glowing sigil behind all of the equipment glowing bright white.
"Now... I have a need for information, so if you will cooperate willingly..." The thestral mare snarled as she bared her single fang at the speaker and froze. "My name is Repulse, so let's get along nicely, shall we?"
All that Midnight Dream could do was to stare at the alien standing on her two legs and smiling at her wearing what appeared to be a maid's outfit. It had no coat over its body but on the top of its head colored blonde. Her dark grey eyes mirrored the color of the ship, but the alarming fact was her standing in the middle of the air on top of a white hexagon. She took a sharp intake of breath before outright fainting in the transparent sphere.
"She fainted." A short girl; possessing mid length dark blonde hair and dark grey eyes much like Repulse, stated as she dispelled the Klein field around the pony. She wore a maid's outfit with a much shorter skirt length than Repulse and had the same sigil as Repulse on her apron. Her white cap made sure her hair was neat and gave her an image of a rather dedicated maid, even if she was not an maid.
"W-what?" Repulse looked distressed at that and groaned. "I didn't do anything to provoke such a reaction! Why did she faint?"
"Maybe it's due to seeing an entirely different species that had never been seen before?" A cool, cultured voice filtered into their heads. "I mean, we are still using humans as our mental models instead of these... ponies."
"To which I am refusing, Akagi. Even if I am a flagship, I can't make such a decision on the basis of the new Admiralty Code." Repulse said out loud, but the message was heard over the Concept Comm System. Distance, time, and weather mattered little to the Concept Comm due to being the most advanced form of communication between Mental Models. "That choice can only be made by Yamato or the new Admiralty Code."
"I know that much, Miss flagship." Akagi responded in a bored tone as she seemed to lean forwards in the virtual comm network. "Now are you going to bring her back to our dock? I got the underwater entrance ready to go."
"Not yet. I'm going to make sure I get some information from this pony and I want to hack their network. I can tell its around 1950s tech with some kind of unknown energy that's spread throughout the city here." Looking back at the city, Repulse narrowed her eyes at the clearly seen radio towers. "Hopefully they have computers for us to hack."
"She means she's going to drop the pony off on some shoreline." Vampire deadpanned as she lifted the pony onto her slim shoulders and carried her off much like a sack of flour. "We will see you after our scouting mission."
"Very well. I'll hurry along and begin to build the necessary things..." Akagi replied as she she 'blinked'. "See you soon~"
Repulse merely shook her head at Akagi's antics and watched Vampire carry the strange bat pony within her 'body'. Shaking her head in an exasperated manner, she began to replay orders to her destroyer escort while she began to move her 'body' away from the land. While her escorts would hack their incredibly primitive databases while she was going to get some more exact information from the pony that had literally just flown onto her ship.

Repulse, with Vampire sitting next to her on the bow of the ship on a metal chair, sipped on a synthesized tea. If there was one thing that Repulse enjoyed was tea during the middle of the day and even with meagre nano-material, one could still produce synthesized food. Looking to the side, she eyed Vampire chewing on a simple cracker with her own cup of tea. Sitting on a simple metal garden table, the two Mental Models sat across from a half-scared, half-curious pony with bat wings.
"Umm..." The pony looked blankly at her cup of tea and the tray of crackers. She looked around the metal ship and shifted in her own chair. A slight clinking of metal reminded the pony that her rear legs were chained.
"If you want to have your legs released, all you have to do is to answer a few of our questions." Repulse said as she put her cup of tea back onto its plate. "It's not that difficult, you know."
The mare merely glared back at the two sitting women and tried to look defiant as possible.
"Let's start with simple questions, shall we? My name is Repulse, as I had said earlier, and this is my little sister, Vampire." Vampire nodded in greeting with her stoic look on her face. The mare looked suspiciously at Vampire, and at Repulse. "And please do not make any jokes about our names, it has gotten far too old for the both of us."
"Err..." The pony looked confused before she looked at her tea and lifted the tea with her left hoof. As she did, she noticed the wide-eyed on Repulse's face. "Yes?" Her voice was low, filled with fear; but held a slight up note due to her curious look.
"How did you do that? How did your hooves pick up the cup?" Repulse quickly reached out and gently grabbed her free right hoof and began to look over the mare's hoof.
The mare could only look startled at the sudden contact, but didn't react in the confusion. Instead, she calmed herself with a couple of deep breaths and yanked her hoof out of Repulse's grasp. "All I know is that our hooves generate a passive magical field to grab anything."
"She talked." Vampire commented idly as she continued to chew on a cracker.
"My name's Midnight Dream. That good for a start?" The mare glanced at Repulse's rather curious face as she looked from the mare's hooves to her wings.
"Magic..." Repulse picked up her cup of tea again before grinning. This was going to be ver interesting. "So tell me... What do you call your oceans?"

Midnight Dream giggled at Vampire talking to Repulse with an rather sharp tongue that could be 'felt' even from where she sat. Sitting on the bow of the ship, unchained mind you, Dream thought about what they had talked about. They had wanted to know about the three major oceans on Equis, the culture, their language (rather awkward seeing as they called her language 'English'), and so on. Of course, she wanted to stay silent and run round and round their heads, it was proved rather ineffective when the two 'Mental Models' had explained the other methods they could use to extract information from her. Some sounded like bluffs, but a few sounded rather genuine to be true.
What convinced her to talk was the lack of questions on the current naval situation of Equis. Or what was the political situation of Equis. Rather strange seeing as they explained what they were.
Dream sighed again as she looked out into the open sea with a hint of excitement in her eyes. Who wouldn't? The two had claimed to be ship she was currently on, even as to demonstrate by making the ship spin 360 degrees, move the cannon turrets around and opening and closing the numerous missile ports all around the ship. And after that, Midnight Dream reluctantly began to answer their questions. The oceans, Celestial, being the large ocean dividing west Griffonia and Eastern Equestria; Lunar, being the ocean that bordered western part of Equestria; and the Chaos that literally made up its name due to uncontrollable weather, land, and generally chaotic that made up the entire southern ocean bordering a massive continent that was also called Chaotic Continent due to being unable to be 'tamed' by the ponies or Griffons.
To which Repulse looked interested. It was strange seeing someone look interested in an uncontrollable location. She explained how basic magic worked with ponies, all three types, and had explained that she was considered a pegasus in terms of magical ability. And that was it. They didn't inquire as to what other things magic could do and had even waved off a demonstration. She had explained the basic pony culture created around 'friendship' and had also received no reaction strangely. The two had asked on the leader of the ponies and once she had given them the princesses' names, they had released her chains and had even asked her where she wanted to be dropped off at.
While she was hesitant, both Repulse and Vampire had said that for giving them enough information, they would trust her not to tell anyone of them. If they found out she had talked to the Princesses or the government about them, Vampire had been rather graphical on what they would do to her. So with that in mind, she had asked the 'Mental Models' to drop her off at the Equestrian Royal Naval Academy. They readily agreed and she was relishing in the salty taste of the air in the ocean.
While Vampire was 'talking' to Repulse in a belittling way, that was all that the Thestral (Bat-pony) mare was seeing. It was nothing but an act that took one percent of the two combined Mental Models were putting on for the mare. The two were in Concept Comm with Akagi whom seemed frustrated in the digital room that looked much like a dainty penthouse with numerous flowers and trees outside a circular pagoda like structure. While Vampire was 'serving tea' and both Repulse and Akagi talking while sitting around a beautiful metal table.
Akagi looked to be a rather beautiful Japanese woman in her early twenties wearing a knee length red skirt and a white 'shirt' that was seemed to have its general design from shrine maidens of Japan. She also had a chest protector over her chest. Her auburn colored hair reached the middle of her back and her dark blue eyes looked at the tea with a gloomy look in her eyes and face.
"Fine~ I'll move my fleet down to the south and find a suitable location there." She shook her head in a despairing manner. "But we are going to need to hurry. Don't forget that we need to contact Yamato within a two weeks of arrival. But in order to do that..."
"I know. We need to create a Graviton Gate." Repulse looked at her own cup of tea before looking at Akagi. "But prioritize a harbor first. We are going to need a base of operations first before we make anything on that scale."
"Fine. Have the carrier do all the work." Akagi muttered as she sipped on her cup of tea. Bringing up her red data rings, she began to read through it before shaking her head. "But this 'magic'..."
"I've already analyzed all the data my destroyers have been sending me. Currency is called 'bits' of all things, three nations with three different species, and this 'magic' is rather strange." Repulse sipped on her tea and looked at her own dark blonde colored rings of data. "The horned ones, or unicorns, seem to have the most control over said 'magic'. But the most 'common seems to be a form of levitation that varies from one to the other."
"Hmm... This one at this port town was seen using 'magic' like 'magic' in a show." Akagi highlighted a light blue unicorn that was standing on her hind legs wearing a blue cape with stars on it alongside a pointed hat with the same motif. "That and their 'Cutie Mark' also seem to be different for all of the... ponies. The unicorn putting on a 'magic' show had a 'wand' and a pointed hat with sparks coming out of the wand on its flank."
"The one with us have a dark brown wooden ship with a large cannon on top. Even told me that she was a student at a Naval Academy." Repulse brought up more images on the flanks of the ponies. "I can safely assume that these... 'Cutie Marks' denote what they do best." The two flagship-class Mental Models shook their heads at that. "Why do they even call these pictures 'Cutie Marks'?"
"Next, these... pegasi is most likely the most versatile of the three. If what the mare with us said is true, they can manipulate weather of all things." She looked at Akagi and shook her head. "I've also found images of these flying equine creating rain, thunder, and lightning."
"So all of my aircraft would be at an disadvantage." Akagi watched various videos of these pegasi clearing and moving clouds. One even rubbed its forelegs to create a spark, while another created powerful bursts of winds with flaps of its wings. "Let me worry about that. The question is can they create hurricane level winds? And their wing spans are far too small for flight..."
"Most likely with enough of them, these pegasi most likely could create any weather situation. And the mare said that their flight is magic-supported." Repulse brought up a chart denoting weather patterns for the past few hours on the south where she had sent two of her destroyers earlier. "But the Chaotic Continent, as they call it, seems to be 'wild' to them. The weather patterns are random and seems to be avoided by every other species on this world."
"Perfect. That makes me feel so much better. And frankly..." Akagi finished her cup of tea and nodded at Vampire, whom refilled with a stoic look. "I like my weather as random as possible."
"Then there are the 'normal' ponies. They are most likely the most physically capable seeing as 'their magic' is more 'physically' applied and into 'controlling' the land." Repulse uploaded a wide variety of images noting a single one of the 'Earth' Pony dragging what appeared to be a large cart with many crates with little effort. "But it seems that they are the most unappreciated due to their 'lack' of ability to use 'magic'. But even against this, they make up most of the regular Equestrian Army and the Navy. It would be best if we exercise caution when combating them."
"Hmph." Vampire huffed as she placed the teapot on a one-legged stand next to the table and brought up a different image. "I've had the destroyers scanning Equestria's ships, though. While not impressive in size, they are powered by a strange energy source."
"What?" Repulse 'downloaded' the energy readings on the ships and hummed as she made her own scans on it. "It's glowing light blue and emitting a moderate source of energy..."
"No energy-based weapons." Akagi concluded as she had been studying the numerous scans of various types of ships. "The ships posses one for each of their turrets and what looks to be a larger one that powers the entire ship."
"Their firepower on the other hand is rather impressive. Their destroyer-weight ships has what looks like a two circular turrets with two estimated 16.5 inch cannons. Heavy Cruiser weight has two of a slightly larger turret with 17.5 inch cannons along with a single bow mounted turret with a large 20.3 inch cannon. Their premiere battleships has six circular turrets with 17.5 inch cannons, three large angular turrets containing two 20.3 cannons each, and what appears to be machine guns all over it." Vampire concluded as she brought up three ships and what appeared to be dozens of different variations of each. "Also, the destroyers have yet to detect any form of submarines, and the lack of torpedoes gives us a single conclusion."
"No torpedo or anything along that line..." Akagi hummed as she cracked a smile. "That's a nice one. How about the Griffons?"
"We do not have the necessary amount of ships to commence a wide area scan like we did with Equestria just a day ago. And we barely managed to remain undetected." Vampire said in her usual deadpanning look. "May I suggest creating stealth submarines with advanced scanning equipment? It would be best to collect information now than later."
"Ugh." Akagi groaned as she displayed her current route to the Battleship Mental Models. "Give me some time to get to a suitable location first, you damn maids."
"We'll rendezvous with you as soon as possible, Akagi. I'm going to submerge to remain hidden after we drop the pony off at her 'naval academy'." Repulse said as Vampire faded away to her 'post'. "See you soon." Akagi nodded to that and the digital room faded away as the Concept Comm was cut.
"There! There's the academy!" Midnight Dream excitedly said as she pointed at the land ahead with a white building that was literally attached to a dock housing four cruiser-weight ships.
"I hope you can go your own way now, Miss Dream?" Repulse said as Vampire walked away with a huff into the ship's control center. "Remember to keep us a secret... Or we will have to come and silence you."
The mare only nodded in an excited fashion before flying off, leaving a trail of light violet that came from the sheer speed she had flown off in.
"Their flight is indeed assisted by magic." Repulse narrowed her eyes before adjusting the glasses on the bridge of her nose. "Well then... Crash Dive."
The massive Fog Battleship sank beneath the oceans as Repulse watched the mare land of the docks with several armored soldiers aiming what appeared to be spears at her. It was time to meet up with Akagi.
Under Construction and Searching
Repulse frowned as she docked her ship under the hastily set up underground dock that had formerly been a massive cliff that had been dug out and reinforced with nano-materials. Nano-Materials. The very thing that made up all of their equipment. As long as they knew what to make, they could make anything from food to other Fog ships with ease. Her dark grey eyes scanned dozens of nano-forges, creating nano-materials from physical matter into a silvery sand like nano-material, that made up half of the entire underground dock. It was going to be moved later on, but as of now they needed to create more space via turning their base of operations much larger and better defended. Akagi was on the dock itself off of her ship directing numerous smaller drones shaped like spiders using nano-materials like web. Repulse on the other hand, was using incoming resources to 'birth' another Fog ship, or specifically a submarine.
110 meter long submarine that could also serve as a light cruiser due to its two turret mounted cannons that had the same power as a heavy cruiser's photon cannons. A relatively unknown submarine, Repulse took pride in her work by building it along the lines of a light cruiser and a submarine. It would have its own mental model, no doubt, but unlike other submarines; the Cruiser Submarine Surcouf had less torpedoes than other submarines, but made it up with its cannons on topside. And it being made into a Fog Submarine?
"Did you hear? It seems that my destroyers finished their scan of this 'Griffonia's' Navy." Akagi said out loud as she watched the bare frame of a new submarine being built within several white rings 'leaking' nano-material in a pre-determined pattern.
"How can I 'hear', Akagi? Your destroyers didn't send their data to me nor Vampire." Repulse answered as she was manipulating dark yellow 'strings' of energy in a manner that of a puppeteer. Not looking back, she accessed their current digital 'pool' of data and searched for the most recent entry. "...Akagi, why the hell do we have recipes?"
"Hmm? Oh, those?" The Japanese based Mental model smiled as she put the finishing touches on a powerful sensor that was being built into the wall. "Just downloaded them before coming here. I heard from Hyuga that the best way to make friends is buy cooking for them."
Repulse shook her head in despair as she felt the underground base's sensors come online. It finally felt secure seeing as there was no ships in the nearby region. Of course, they would still build defenses for both anti-land, anti-naval, anti-air, and anti-infantry. While they could fend off boarders for their ships with Klein fields, a harbor of any kind would not be able to defend itself against infantry. A small team of skilled soldiers could easily take over a dock they needed.
"Hmm..." Vampire, building more destroyers next to Repulse, decided to cut in with her usual stoic look. "Griffonia's Navy seems rather small compared to what Equestria had."
"I know. It seems so strange, doesn't it? Their heaviest ship seems to be a heavy cruiser and even in their dry docks, there aren't any battleships." Akagi said with a frown as she reviewed various images and scans taken by her escort.
"Not really, it seems that they rely more on their Aerial navy." Repulse commented as she brought up several large images of airships. "Helium... I didn't think helium based blimps would be used as warships of all things..."
"But seeing as their entire race is a hybrid between an eagle and lion that can fly reliably, it isn't strange to see airships being used in favor of naval craft. Unless they can drop kilo-ton bombs on us, we'll most likely down them all in matter of hours using out close combat laser systems. Hell, a single fighter of mine could probably down a dozen in them in a single fly by." Akagi boasted as she looked at her carrier-based aircraft.
Modeled after World War II Japanese Zero fighter craft, the normally green/white aircraft had Akagi's red sigils on its body and wings where several laser systems were mounted alongside an underslung corrosive torpedo was mounted. It possessed a dull grey coloring and the 'cockpit' had a bright red core. It was for that fact that Akagi, while not as large in terms of ship size, had the processing ability of a battleship. Having to control dozens upon dozens of fighters in the air while operating her own 'ship', it was what made Fog Carriers especially dangerous.
"Don't get cocky, Akagi. Hyuga underestimated Iona in the past and was sank. Don't make that mistake." Vampire scolded the relatively young mental model. Carriers were introduced after the humans and the Fog had found reason to coexist. Well, not complete coexistence. The Fog was considered a nation upon themselves seeing as they had laid claim to many islands that had been converted into their docks.
"Ugh. I know that. I'm just saying that airships of those kind is only going to give us an advantage, even if they come in hundreds." Akagi countered as she continued to move the spiders accordingly. "Hmm?"
"What now, Akagi?" Repulse said with annoyance in her voice.
"I thought I 'saw' something on sonar..." Akagi placed her construction on hold and focused her own 'ship' based sonar and sent a ping. Her eyes widened briefly and sent the results of the sonar ping to Repulse. Said Battlecruiser's Mental model frowned before sending her own sonar ping out.
"Vampire, would you be a dear and bring that small submarine in here? I'd like to know who in this world has the capability to build a sub of all things." Vampire glared at her 'sister' mental model and took control of a docked destroyer and sent it underwater. "The visual signature matches none of Equestria's or Griffon's design ethics. So I think it's safe to assume that it's an entirely new species or some kind of 'magical' vessel they developed."
"Hah! I found it first, so I get to talk to them first!" Akagi cheered as she jumped up and down several times. Repulse shook her head at Akagi's childishness and sighed. She wished at least Haruna or Kirishima was here to back her up...
=================================================
Midnight Dream had the brightest smile she had ever yet in her life. Oh, she had to undergo necessary screening, tests, and other trials in order to be enrolled back in; but it had all been worth it when she was accepted again. And even better was that her father couldn't pull her out of service because she was at the age of nineteen and was now considered an enlisted sailor. Oh course, she had to get used to some of the newest developments in the modern navy, but it was easy enough to learn.
But what really got her was the knowledge of Repulse and Vampire. Compared to what the modern navy had at their disposal, she was sure that those... mental models' ship was certainly powerful. While not sure how powerful, but she could tell that it would take a lot of ships to just sink that battleship. If there was one thing she had wanted to see was those 'missiles' in those built in 'launchers'. It sounded like fireworks, but she wanted to know how they worked completely.
Fidgeting on the bed in her private room, she looked out the dark outside and sighed.
Where did they come from? What were they? And why were they here?
Jumping off her bed in annoyance, she sat on the bed and thought how she could meet them again. If they were indeed the ship as they had claimed, then shouldn't they have a living captain? Or did the mental models fulfill that role? What were those ships powered by? She saw no steam, no exhaust, and definitely had not felt or heard energy flowing through that ship. And what did those large cannons fire? She certainly didn't smell much sulfur, but she could tell that the cannon had seen some heavy use. And not only that, how did a ship of that size just sink beneath the ocean like that?
