Bodies of Waterby TheTraxicEndChaptersI Can See The Dock That It Stares FromI Can See The Rainbow's LiesI Can See The WaterI Can See The Rainbow In Its ReflectionI Can See The Dock That It Stares FromA rainbow desires to drink from the waters that it does not truly desire. Rainbow Dash stares out at the waters that surround her. She sees its color, the beautiful blues that grace her vision roars its ever-so-loud call before slamming against the dock that gives her the ability to stand proudly without falling and drowning in the depths of color. She sighs. The desire to dive in is high, yet she must resist the temptation. The night before was discouraging for her, she succumbed to the pleasures of the waters that wishes for her to be the only one that remains. All she remembers after that was drinking some true water from a sink at a hotel room with another mare. She remembers the mare; they woke up together drowning in each other's water. Of course, their waters did mix; they did love it. The waters inside them boiled before they released, spilling onto the sheets. They never knew that water could be this much of an issue. Rainbow Dash begins to walk to the end of the dock, getting an even greater view of the vast ocean in front of her. She cranes her neck, the reflection she sees is her own, but not one she desires. Tears begin to fill her eyes. Rainbow Dash does not see the true reflection that she wishes would appear. They mat her cheeks. Rainbow Dash does not see the body of water she wishes to tread in. They drip to the wood. Rainbow Dash does not feel like she's on top of the world. They drip to the ocean. Rainbow Dash feels like she's drowning her own water once again. She grasps it tightly. She takes a sip. She succumbs to the pleasures once again. I Can See The Rainbow's LiesA rainbow wishes for its desires to die. Lovely air as she stares again, watching her friends play in the sand by the sea of which slams into the dock that she still stands on to this day. Her eyes glaze over the faces that she wishes would just love her back. No, those who are her friends do not have the love that she so wishes to desire. She desires closeness, return; a simple hug with a whisper that cares for her. Rainbow Dash does not wish for a friend that lays his or her sympathy upon her gracious mane. Rainbow Dash does not wish for a friend that continues to support her habit of returning to the water. Rainbow Dash does not wish for a friend whose blindness contradicts the values of which she holds. Rainbow Dash... "Rainbow?" The whisper in the wind asks. "Rainbow?" It continues to ask. The rainbow can't turn, for it is too late. The footsteps collide with the wood. "Rainbow, why are you up here?" The whisper asks politely. Rainbow Dash sighs. "Because I need some water." With that, the Rainbow departs to grab another drink of water. I Can See The WaterA rainbow is brightest at its lowest point. With one last gulp, the Rainbow wipes her lips, the excess liquid splatters against the sands of time. The water of blue rocks against this sand, displacing and covering the remains of what water was wasted. Yet, she is not done, for she wipes her cheek too, the same excess residue impacts against that same sand, before it too is displaced by the waters of which covers the pains of waste. Rainbow Dash rises, her wing span is on display for all ponies to see. Yet, she feels something is missing. Something isn't flowing in her anymore. She needs some water. But what water is hers? The ocean? The empty tankard in her grasp? The liquid that quenches her thirst? No... None of that is hers. Rainbow Dash walks along the sea, staring at the friends that she once knew. All she needs is a drink in her hoof. To be loved once more. I Can See The Rainbow In Its ReflectionA rainbow never seems to stay up for long in this world. Rainbow Dash walks, her eyes set forth on the roaring ocean whose tides continue to rock the beaches of which she and her friends stay for their great vacation. Together, the six came to enjoy a moments break, a retreat from the stresses that bind and ensnare them. However, Rainbow Dash is an exception. An exceptional exception. Rainbow Dash continues to walk along her water, the water of which she drinks. Its tides snap and roll into the coast, their water seems inviting to those who can bear witness to its true form. Of course, Rainbow Dash not only swims in this water—no, she drowns in it. Rainbow Dash loves it, for it cleanses her, hugs her wings tight while she wishes to only feel flight. Yet, she also hates it, for it carries her into thinking that all water is okay for her to drown in. Rainbow Dash stops, her eyes gazing at the waters of which she hates. It calls to her, begging for her to stand with it and drink its tasty, delectable taste that only those who acquire its addictive flavor will grasp it and chug it gracefully, the effort it must take seems... lacking. Rainbow Dash tries to stop herself, the thought of just grabbing that water seems more enticing than the waters of which the ocean bears. She finds it to be... plain and not so desirable now that the waters of her own rainbows are set in the vicinity of which she stays. She spots some ponies standing by the area of water, their smiles gaining tenfold as they share in the water, swimming in its cleansing sheen. Rainbow Dash's lips begin to water themselves, a wet tingling sensation graces itself upon her lips as she begins to see the details of their drinks form inside her mind. Rainbow Dash realizes she is walking towards them, but cannot help herself; her body is not listening. Her body is not being hers. Her body is not the rainbow she wishes to stay alive and be brighter than all the rest. The rainbow that exists within Rainbow Dash is one who wishes to be the only rainbow that stands before the rest. She grabs the tankard, filling herself up a glass of some cold, liquid pride. The rainbow that exists within Rainbow Dash is the one that only sees the next day as a new day to get its new fill. She gently begins to raise the water to her lips. The rainbow that exists within Rainbow Dash is the one who sees itself every morning and ignores the colorful hues that graces its being. She begins to take the water's first starting sip. The rainbow... ...exists.
