"Mom, please don't make me go!" he cried to his mother. "You'll do fine, sweetie.  I'll be back at 3 to pick you up." his mother told him. Thunder tried to hide from everyone.  He hid behind the bleachers on the side of the race track. "Hi." he heard a voice beside him.  He looked over and saw a cyan blue filly with a rainbow mane and tail. "I'm Rainbow Dash, and this is my friend Fluttershy." she said to him. Thunder looked beside Rainbow Dash and saw a yellow filly with a pink mane and tail.  Thunder suddenly felt a little funny in the stomach.  He didn't understand what was happening. "I'm Thunder Flash." he said weakly, though Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy heard him clearly. "Is it your first day too?" Rainbow Dash asked Thunder. "Yeah." Thunder responded. "I've been there before." Fluttershy said quietly. "Then why are you hiding back here?" Thunder asked her. "I always hide back here.  I'm too shy to go out there." said Fluttershy. "FLUTTERSHY, RAINBOW DASH, AND THUNDER FLASH!  REPORT TO THE MAIN TRACK IMMEDIATELY!" yelled a voice over the loud speaker. "Uh oh." said Rainbow Dash. //-------------------------------------------------------// Summer Flight Camp Part 2 //-------------------------------------------------------// Summer Flight Camp Part 2 The three were found and brought out to the main track.  Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash tried to hide behind Thunder. "Thunder Flash.  Rainbow Dash.  Since it is your first day I will let you off with a warning.  But Fluttershy, the next time I catch you behind the bleachers, I will have to talk with your parents." their teacher told them.  She then told the kids to sit down. "Welcome to Summer Flight Camp.  I am your teacher, Ms. Blossomforth.  Some of you were here last year.  For those who are new, we will be doing some basic training to help you become better at flying." she said to the kids. "I think that was kind of obvious." Thunder whispered to Rainbow Dash. "Quiet while I'm talking." Ms. Blossomforth said to Thunder. "As I was saying..." Thunder started to tune her out.  He then started to fall asleep. "Wake up." Rainbow nudged Thunder. "What?  Huh?" Thunder said, barely awake. "Ms. Blossomforth says we have to show her how much flying we can do right now." Rainbow said to Thunder. They all went and did their best at flying.  Rainbow Dash flew almost twice as high as the clouds were above the ground.  A cross-eyed gray filly with a yellow mane and tail named Derpy smashed into the bleachers trying to fly. "My bad." she said. Fluttershy only flew up a few feet.  Thunder flew up about half as high as Rainbow Dash. After another 5 minutes, everypony was finished.  Thunder kept looking at Fluttershy while the other ponies flew.  He was starting to understand why he felt a little tingling sensation in his stomach. At lunch, Thunder sat with Rainbow and Fluttershy.  After about 10 minutes, Fluttershy went to go use the bathroom. "Rainbow Dash, can I tell you something?" Thunder asked Rainbow. "Sure." Rainbow replied. "You promise not to tell anypony?" Thunder asked. "I promise." Rainbow said. "I have a crush on Fluttershy." Thunder said quietly so no one else could hear. "I know." Rainbow said. "How?" Thunder asked. "I could tell by the way you look at her." Rainbow told him. Fluttershy came back to the table.  After another 15 minutes, they were called back to the main track. //-------------------------------------------------------// Summer Flight Camp Part 3 //-------------------------------------------------------// Summer Flight Camp Part 3 "Next we will test your speed.  Rainbow Dash, you're up first." Ms. Blossomforth said. The two bullies, Hoops and Dumb-Bell, walked over to Rainbow Dash and started making fun of her. "Good luck, Rainbow Crash." Hoops said, mockingly. Rainbow Dash tried to cover her face with the front of her mane.  A light blue colt with a dark blue mane and tail who was around the same age as Rainbow Dash walked over to her. "You better leave her alone." he said to Hoops.  Hoops and Dumb-Bell just laughed at him. "Yeah, right." Hoops said, still laughing. "Thanks Soarin, but they're not gonna stop making fun of me." she said to the colt.  She then gave him a kiss on the cheek.  After that, she went to fly around the track.  She flew almost as fast as sound. "In you're face." she said to Hoops. "Whatever.  Me and Dumb-Bell can do better than that." Hoops said. Hoops went after Rainbow, but he didn't prove what he said. "Okay, so maybe I can't, but I'm sure Dumb-Bell can." Hoops said in embarrassment. Dumb-Bell went next, but he went slower than Hoops. "Come on, Dumb-Bell.  We have other things to do." Hoops said, even more embarrassed. "Thunder Flash, it's your turn." Ms. Blossomforth said. Thunder flew faster than all the others.  All of the kids and Ms. Blossomforth stood with their mouths wide open. "That was amazing!" Rainbow Dash yelled. "I've never seen anything like it." Fluttershy said. "Thanks." Thunder said. "Thunder, look!" Rainbow said in amazement. Thunder looked at his flank and saw a blue hedgehog with white gloves and red shoes. "Sonic the Hedgehog?  How is my cutie mark Sonic the Hedgehog?" Thunder said in confusion. "Well, Sonic is really fast at running, and you're really fast at flying." Rainbow said to him. "All right kids.  It is now 2:45.  Your parents should be here in about 15 minutes.  Until then, you can play games and hang out together." Ms. Blossomforth told them. "I'll be right back, I gotta use the bathroom." Thunder said to Rainbow and Fluttershy. "Rainbow Dash, can I ask you a question?" Fluttershy asked. "Sure." Rainbow said. "Do you think Thunder likes me?" Fluttershy asked. "Why?  Do you like him?" Rainbow asked. "Well he is cute.  I just don't know if he likes me the way I like him."  Fluttershy said. Thunder returned before Rainbow responded. "Well this day turned out better than I expected." Thunder said. Thunder's mom came by. "There's my mom.  I'll see you tomorrow." Thunder said to Rainbow and Fluttershy. "Bye." Fluttershy said. "See ya." Rainbow said.
