Demon Jack: Party Time

by DemonicJack

God no, it's Pinkie

Why should she come to this party? There has to be, like, over a hundred parties in Ponyville alone, and I live in Manehatten. Why?
I'm getting way ahead of myself. This all started with Isaac having a birthday party. Once a year occurrence, totally casual. I had bought him a large black book, something that pony at the bookstore assured me was the, "Bible". Whatever that is. I have no idea, although it seemed to do with religion. Whatever. I don't do those things. I was trotting, the large black book in my saddlebag, I headed toward the library, where some purple mare would give me a cloud-whatever spell. After the purple pony, who seemed to get very mad at me calling her Sparkles, gave me the spell. She wanted to charge me extra for, and I quote, "Calling me Sparkles, you bastard! Come back here! You owe me money!". My thoughts were interrupted when a pony pushed past me, heading my direction.
"Watch where you're going!" The pony turned around, and I gasped, almost running back home. It was Pinkie.
"Jack!" You know that annoying noise fillies make when they get really excited? Isaac calls it a Squee. She made one. Right next to my ear.
"BACK YOU FOUL DEM- Sorry. Force of habit." I remembered that last time I had seen her, we had really hit it off. It was my birthday, and she had brought me this cupcake. It doesn't sound like a very good gift, but it was amazing. Just trust me.
"It's fine! Are you going to Isaac's party too?" I nodded, and reached into my saddlebag for the black book, pulling it out and showing her it.
"Yeah, I got him this, whatever it is." She held up a tinfoil-covered plate, with a small bulge I figured was another cupcake.
"I needed someone to try out my new recipe!" I longed for a taste. The sweet and creamy icing, the perfect soft and spongy base. Delicious.
"Has he ever had one?"
"It's a new recipe, silly! Nopony has ever eaten one!" I realized I needed to word it better.
"Has he ever had one of your cupcakes?"
"No, That's why he needs one!" He was in for a surprise.
"Need help carrying that?"
"No, but thank you anyway!" She galloped away, towards Cloudsdale. Which was closer to her home than mine. If I knew a single thing about magic, I would just find a way to teleport there. But I don't. Maybe I should have asked Sparkles. Maybe I shouldn't have stiffed her a bit. Whatever, I regret nothing! I can buy something with one bit! Something totally not worth it! A gumball or something. After finally making it to Cloudsdale, I needed to find a way up to there. I looked around, and saw a Pegasus with a cyan coat, and a rainbow mane.
"Miss!" I walked to her, and she looked slightly confused.
"Yes?"
"I was wondering, not that you have to, but my friend is having a party up there, and, as you can see, I have no wings. If at all possible, could you plea-" She brought a hoof to my muzzle, like I had done to Pinkie so many times.
"Say no more." She motioned for me to hang on to her back. I did so, and she took off towards the clouds above us.
"Thanks."
"You have that Spell-thingie?" She asked me, as we started to touch down on the clouds.
"Yeah, from Sparkles." She cracked up.
"That's what you call Twilight?"
"She wanted to charge me extra for the spell-thing." I stood on the cloud, which held my weight, yet felt like they could stop any moment.
"What? That's not like her." I looked around to get my bearings. Not very helpful. The entire city was made of the same stuff: white, fluffy cloud. I listen carefully, and heard music. That and breathing from the rainbow pony. I turned towards her.
"I never got a chance to hear your name.
"RainbowDash." My jaw dropped. THE RainbowDash that Isaac is always talking about?
"With the Sonic Rain-thing?" She looked annoyed.
"Sonic Rainboom!" I nodded.
"Isn't that Pink mare your friend?"
"Pinkie Pie, and yes, she is." I turned, and started to head towards the party.

Upon bursting through the door quite dramatically, I found that most of them were pegasus. Freakin' hate pegasus. Near the back of the room were turntables, hooked up to speakers, controlled by, 'The one, the only, Vinyl Scratch!' Throw in a, 'Yeah!' for good measure. Then you'd have how she talks. I have no idea where she bought her glasses, but for Celestia's sake, I want a pair. As in, 2 of them. I guess I should be happy with my 3-D ones, but whatever. That awesome mane? That color is amazing. I have jet-black, streaked with red. That blue? Looks great. Isaac has wings, she has a horn, I have.............. Hooves. And a cutie mark of a PS3 controller. And I get mad very easy. Being honest is not my strong suit. Hell, I used to know this guy, dragon-whatever, who looked ridiculous, and he told me-Get this-He was turned into a statue! Unbelievable, right? He was a friend of these ponies, this yellow mare, and like, 10 others. Weird. He reminded me of this documentary I saw once, where there was this guy named Discord. Whatever. I felt something touch my back.
"Jack! Welcome to the party!" He wore a more casual outfit, and by that I mean a birthday hat. His coat with covered in confetti. Gee, I wonder why?
