A Troubled Night (REVISED, RE-EDITED, AND RE-DONE)

Nightmare Moon opened her eyes slowly, studying the room she was in, up until that moment she had forgotten about what had happened o her after her defeat by the elements of harmony. Glancing around at the room around her, she noticed a small piece of paper near the bowl of water. Levitating it in her telekinesis, her dragon like eyes could read it perfectly well in pitch black darkness that was punctuated by the full moon. Tears started to steam down her cheeks after reading it, feeling utmost gratitude for whoever had taken as monster like her into their home. Choking back a sob, she raised herself to her hooves, wincing in pain from the gash that had been torn in her shoulder by a large shard of the decaying castle window.

As she followed the sound of heavy breathing to a room down the hallway, she wondered what had brought her here, and where she was. She wasn't in equestria anymore, she could tell by the strange objects in the kitchen and the hallway. She remembered few details from being brought in, except that the voice had sounded feminine. The breathing lead her to a large bedroom, as she stepped toward the bed, her hoofsteps muffled by the carpet, her rescuer had seemed to stiffen, almost as if she was pretending to be asleep.

Moonlight that had shone into the room illuminated the young woman's features, coal black hair as dark as Nightmare's coat, pale skin like the moon, facial features that seemed doll like. Nightmare Moon new what kind of creature she was, it was called a human, and legend said used to thrive in equestria until that blasted fool Discord, had obliterated them into extinction. Nightmare Moon was so curious about how the humans had their own world when she remembered what she had originally planned to do. She leaned closer to the young woman's head and whispered softly in her ear,

"We thank thee for letting us stay in thy humble home. "

And left, although she thought that there was a slight smile on the human's face.

Back in the kitchen Nightmare Moon opened and studied her now useless wings, in hope that she may one day be able to feel the joyous sensation of flying once again. But it was no use, even her magic was to weak to even conjure up a heeling spell. Sighing she took the note once again in her telekinesis, along with a pencil and wrote out a simple not to address the human, who called herself "Coraline", a very strange sounding name in Nightmare's thoughts. As she finished writing the note she could she that the sun was slowly rising in the horizon, and tucked her head under her wings to shield herself from the sun and feel into a deep and troubled sleep.

Coraline stirred in her bed, tossing and turning while her mind churned with theories and discombobulated thoughts. Her new houseguest was a sentient, talking alicorn pony.

Alright, I'm either going to wake up from this strange ass dream and throw about the vodka, or shit just got fucking real.
