Tears of a God

"So why are we here again?" Asked Rainbow Dash. Twilight, Apple Jack, Pinkie Pie, Rarity, Fluttershy and Discord had been summoned by the Princess Celestia, the reason they did not know. "I am afraid that Tirek has returned." Said the Princess. Discord's eyes widened.

"Wait. So who's Tirek? And what do you mean 'returned'?" Asked Twilight. Fluttershy looked at Discord worriedly. He seemed afraid.

"Tirek was a terrible monster. Sucking everypony's energy and magic." Said Luna. "He must be stopped before he gets too strong!" Now Fluttershy knew why Discord was so scared. She stared at the ground. Suddenly a glass wall appeared and lifted her up into the air. She was inside a glass sphere. Then came the booming voice.

"Surrender your magic, Discord. From what I've heard, you love this mare very dearly. A mistake you will forever regret. You would hate for her to die wouldn't you?" At this the little Pegasus felt herself being drained of her energy. She slumped. "I will exchange her for your magic." He said. She heard a pop, and she found herself on a floating piece of land. She was still inside the glass bubble though. She heard another pop and when she turned around, Discord was standing in front of Tirek. "Discord no! Don't do it! I'm not worth that!" She cried. He looked at her solemnly. "No! Please." She said those last words quieter because more of her energy was draining.

"You surrender? Have you really become that soft?" Said Tirek. "Like I said: Big mistake." He chuckled. Fluttershy could only make out a few words because they were quite muffled.

"I am not soft. It was no mistake. I..." He looked at his beloved Pegasus.

"No!" She screamed. Don't do it, Discord! I'm not worth it!"

"Ah, Fluttershy... He said. "You are. You are worth every gem, every bit, every diamond in the world to me. What would I do if you died? What would be the purpose of chaos... the purpose of me... If you were gone?" He gave her a weak smile. "I couldn't live like that." He turned to Tirek. "I surrender."

"No! Discord!" Screamed the Pegasus, tears streaming down her face. Tirek opened his mouth and, colorful light came from Discord's levitating body. It flooded into Tirek's mouth and Discord fell to the ground. He got up weakly. The glass around Fluttershy disappeared and she ran to Discord's side. Tirek kicked the weak Discord over the side of the floating land. Fluttershy screamed. She went after Discord. Then she felt a chill. Her energy was draining fast, and she couldn't fly. She fell alongside Discord. "Fluttershy..." He said weakly. "I couldn't let you go." She said. "I love you." She smiled, and hit the ground with a thud.

All the magic left inside of poor Fluttershy was sucked out by Tirek. It was too much and he glowed a bright red, and exploded. Everyone's magic and energy was returned. Except Fluttershy. Her lifeless body could not gather the energy, so it was consumed by Discord. "Fluttershy..." He said. He picked up her cold, limp body and teleported to the palace. "Discord!" cried Twilight. "What happened to-" She stopped when she saw Fluttershy's body in his arms. "She fell." He said, tears streaming down his face "She-" He couldn't say anymore. He laid her down on the floor. She looked so peaceful. Almost like she was sleeping. All the ponies around him were crying.

"I am sorry." Said Celestia. She closed her eyes and bowed her head. Luna and the others did the same. "To our dear Fluttershy." They said. Discord just sat there, staring at her body. It seemed impossible. She couldn't be dead. He waited. Hoping for a sigh or even a breath. Nothing happened. She only lay there.

Fluttershy's  funeral was held in an open field. Even the Princesses came. She lay in a cherry wood box. It had a gold plate on it saying when she was born and when she died. Discord came up to the box. He couldn't help but cry. Some of his tears landed on her forehead. He levitated the cover and put it on top of the box. On the lid, lay painted words saying: Fluttershy, I will never forget you. He lay her coffin down, into a hole and buried her. Goodbye, Fluttershy. He said as he walked away. He would never forget her.
