Retribution of a Darkened soul
"Black. The only color that I have seen for years. Its also become my only friend. Once my banishment to the moon started I was alone. The evil inside me went into recession once I landed on the surface of the moon. Its been dark, cold, and worst of all boring. I felt so terrible for what I did to my sister. I understand that she did it for the good of Equestria. But the darkness inside wants revenge, and eternal night. To kill my only family. I want to go back home, to see my sister. The tears streamed down my muzzle, but I didn't care. No one could see. It was just me. I created shelter from the moon rocks and since I also had no food I had to eat rocks. It was torture, pure, unadulterated, torture. Back home though, I was just as lonely. Getting no attention from anypony. The only companion I had was my pet phoenix Nightshade, of who I missed dearly. I did occasionally converse with Celestia at meals, but only for a few minutes. But thats all gone now. Now all I have is the darkness of the moon as my company. From then on the darkness grew stronger and began transforming me into the monster known as Nightmare Moon, the demon of darkness..."
"I need a break from all this writing" Luna said, wiping away some tears. "Why am a writing this autobiography anyway?! No pony cares about what happened to me anyway!"
Luna had been writing her autobiography for some time now. Crying the entire time, recalling her lonelyness on the moon. It had been tough for her being alone for so long. No one was there to show her love or kindness. It just fed the growing anger, the darkness, inside her. When she got back from being possesed by Nightmare moon she was overjoyed to see her older sister there for her. But wishes she could see her more often.
"Im getting some ice cream" she said to herself. She started walking to the kitchen. Down the halls she knew well. The air smelled of lavender, her favorite flower. The vaulted ceilings made her feel like a little filly again. She missed those days. But now its to late to be sad. Its done and over with. Now it is time for ice cream.
She finally made it to the empty kitchen. All the cooks went to bed earlier that night. She walked to the big ice box and opened it up. She looked for the ice cream. She found her favorite flavor, Dark chocolate, and levitated the container to the table closest to her. Dug through a drawer to find a spoon to use. When she found a spoon to her liking she levitated the ice cream and the spoon to her room.
On her way she saw her sister, Celestia, heading to her room. "Hello my dear sister." Luna said.
"Hello Luna" Celestia said.
"Shouldn't you be in bed bed sister?" Luna asked.
"I was just going to my room." she said
"Thats funny considering you are walking to my quarters." Luna stated.
"Oh how funny. I must be really tired."
"Sister are you alright?"
"Yeah I'm alright..." Celestia trailed off
"What is wrong sister. You seem distressed."
"Well... There is one thing bothering me..."
"Tell me sister. I'll listen."
"I'm sorry I haven't been around to see you much... I- I just can't say sorry enough for what I have done to you..."
Celestia was crying now.
"Sister, everything is fine. I am alright. Please don't cry." Luna said while hugging her sister. "But I do wish I saw you more."
"I was walking to your room so I could come and lay with you."
"I would love that, sister."
They walked to Luna's room talking and laughing. Finally getting the time to talk with each other, realizing how muched they missed one another. And how good that ice cream was. Tonight was a good night.
When they got back to Luna's room they went right to bed. Luna and Celestia were nuzzling eachother through the night. Two sisters, happy to be able to spend time with eachother after so long. Luna knew what to add to her autobiography at that moment.
"...But even that darkness can be washed away by the love of another. I finally got to see my sister more and I then feared my darkened soul. The darkness disappeared from me. Thank you sister for showing me the love I needed."
