Chapters You slither along. You don't know much else. For twelve hundred years you have slithered and fought to survive. For twelve hundred years you have thought about the day you were brought here by Discord.

The words burn through your mind. The lies.
You have prowled these woods, fought in these woods, hunted. For all these centuries you have survived and for all those years you have clung to the life you once had.

You repeat these words day after day. You have one more word that's burns your mind but also brings you comfort.

You remember the ponies, you remember the joy they brought you and how you longed to be or live as one of them. The memory of the day you came to Equestria flashes in your head.
Twelve Hundred Years Ago
You place down your bag and flop onto your favourite chair, the day had been a tough one and your boss sure let you feel every second of it. Your reach for the remote and press the on button, the T.V switches on and you flick through the channels until you fall on the one you are looking for. You sink into the chair as you watch the show you have come to love. My Little Pony.
You still laugh about the day you started watching out of curiosity. You only tuned in that one day because you saw the parody videos on youtube. And you have watched ever since.
You laugh as Pinkie goes wild, you always loved her antics. In your mind though there was three ponies who always held a special place and they weren't even main characters. A few months after finally admitting your a brony you find that three background ponies are your favourites.

Daisy
Lilly
The three flower ponies of Ponyville. You have them as wallpaper and even some posters you had made by some brony artists.
You carry on watching as a thought crosses your mind.
'I wish I could go to Equestria.'
You laugh to yourself as that would be impossible, earth has no magic and last you know there was no technology to cross dimensions. You sigh as the episode comes to an end. Putting down the remote you head for the kitchen and peer into the icebox.
“What to make? What to make?” You ask yourself as you tap your chin.
“I would choose the omelette, you can't go wrong with those.”
“Thanks.” You reply, only to spin around in fright. “Jesus humping fuck!” You grab your chest.
“Oh I’m sorry did I not introduce myself?” You watch as Discord flashes into existence. “I'm Discord or god of chaos, which ever takes your fancy.”
“I know who your are!? How did you get into my house!?” You shout.
“I flashed in or so to speak but enough about me, I want to talk about you!”
“Me!”
“Yes, you and your little wish that you made.” The Discord snaps a clawed hand and appears behind you.
“What wish?” You ask, trying to comprehend that Discord was in front of you.
“This wish.” Discord pulls out a scroll and puts on glasses. “Quote. I wish I could go to Equestria. End quote.” Discord removes the glasses and raises an eyebrow at you. “Is that the jist of it?”
You scratch the back of your neck. “I guess I did mention that, yeah.”
“Oh good, I'm glad I'm not wasting my time.” Discord snapped his claws and a portal appeared. “So? Do you want to?”
“Wait! What?” You question staring at the portal. “Right now?”
“Why not? Your not doing anything are you? Besides who can resist the lure of mares.” Discord grins.
“Wait, lure of mares?” You ask, raising an eyebrow at Discord.
“Why yes! I know you have...Thoughts.” Your face reddens. “I thought so. I know about the darker side of your...following. What do they call them? Ah yes, cloppers. It's quite the name, very fitting.” Discord smiles as he folds his arms. “I can guarantee you mares and the wealth to go with them, all you have to do is pass through.”
“What's the catch? I know from the show you always have a motive.” You say pointing a finger.
Discord gasps. “Me! Oh you wound me! I have no motive, I just what to help. You have a dream and I can fill it.”
“So I get to live in Equestria and have a marefriend?”
“Oh yes, you might even get several mares and did I mention lots of bits too.” Discord grins wider. “Come and know limitless bounty of flesh and wealth, come with me and know fun beyond your imagination.”
Your brain ticks over as you think, you've always wanted to go to Equestria to meet your three favourite ponies. You close your eyes and finally you give in.
“Fine, I'll go!”
Discord claps. “Wonderful, just step through the portal and you will be in your new form and in Equestria.”
You approach the portal and put your hand through it before bringing it back out.
“It won't hurt will it?”
“Oh my no, well maybe at the start but it will pass.”
“Ok, here it goes.” You say as you step forward and enter the portal.
You feel tingling over your body as you get sucked into the swirling vortex, you scream as you spin around and around. The pain lasts for several moments before you feel yourself ejected onto hard ground. You lay still for several minutes as your body feels like it wants to bring everything you ate in the last four hours back up. You raise your hand to your head but that's not what you feel.
You open your eyes and spot a green tentacle sprouting from your arm, you sit up quickly and inspect your limb. You move to touch it but find your other arm is the same, you have no fore arm from the elbow just some waving green tentacle.
“What the fuck happened!” You shriek as you continue to stare at your flailing new arms.
A sudden spate of laughter erupts around you.
“Discord! What have you done to me!”
“I have brought you here to Equestria! Just not your Equestria. I have brought you twelve thousand years before your little show, and before I was reformed.” Discord spits the last word. “I was never the good type, after Tirek I tired to fit in but for me it was mindless and boring. Oh sure the princesses tried to help too but it didn't work, I still found everyday life dull. That is until I found this delightful time travel spell, and how easy it was to learn.” Discord laughs.
“You said you would change me into a pony!”
“I said no such thing! I said you will find yourself in a new form, and you will. Just not the one you think. It will take several years before your final form has transpired, but then again your human you will adapt.” Discord flies up into your face. “Be well my little human, you journey has just begun.” Discord laughs and vanishes before your eyes.
You cry out to him but find it futile, he wasn't coming back. You look to your arms again and cry. You look up and around to find yourself outside a forest, you stand up and give the woods a good long look. You look back to your arms and walk forwards, the forest swallowing you up.
Present Day
You come to a halt as the memory ends, you would cry but that time has long passed. You can't change what happened but you smile anyway as the centuries have caught up to the timeline you know. Slithering forward you reach your destination and hide at the forest edge, your one eye scans the gorge nearby. Then you see them, the mane six or more importantly season four ending mane six. You watch as they run into the cave to open the box and release the power within.
Your form shivers as Tirek stomps closer to the cave and destroys several trees with magic. You can't help but mentally smile as you are witnessing the defeat of Tirek up close. You watch as the mane six surrounded by magic appear out of the gorge and fly up into the sky, you know Tirek isn't going to win but you watch anyway.
The mane six defeat Tirek exactly like the show and send him back to Tartarus. You turn around and head back home, as much as the after battle events play out you have already seen what happens and don't stick around. You head for the clearing where Twilights castle will spawn.
By the time you reach the location you see the castle has already risen and they were singing the song from the end of the season four episode. You scan the ponies outside the castle and with a breath held you spot them. Twelve hundred years you have waited to get this close, many times you have entered Ponyville under darkness but you have never found your quarrys.
Today that has changed, today you have looked open the muzzles of the three most beautiful ponies in town. Today you have found your flower ponies.
Your body makes a sound similar to a chirp as you stare at Roseluck, Lilly and Daisy. Knowing you can't talk to them or touch them. You growl as you think of discord and how he ruined your life, you shake with rage as you think about how you can't tell anypony. Your tentacles thrash on the ground in your anger before you shriek and turn away.
You slither back to your home in the Everfree Forest, it isn't the best of places but for over a thousand years it has sheltered you. You slither past the other occupants of your home, their squeaks sound through the cave as they hang upside down. You keep moving till you reach the back of the cave and enter a large cavern.
You move to a makeshift area of cloth and settle down, the movement today has been tiring. You turn your one eye up to the wall nearby and gaze upon the stolen pictures of your three favourite mares. Reaching out a tentacle you pull a picture off the wall and bring it closer, it was a picture of the three flower ponies together at some party. You make a whimpering sound as you rest your limbs.
'One Day' You think. 'One Day I will speak to you and everything will be perfect.'
You replace the picture and drift off to sleep, tomorrow was hunting day.

Chapter Two
You rise from your slumber. The previous day was long forgotten and now a new day was ahead, or more importantly, hunting day. You would go out every two weeks and hunt for food, mainly you would go for meat but today something made you choose fish. It has been a while since you had a real fish meal.
You slither out of your home and passed by the sleeping forms of your bat friends, you came out into the morning air of the forest. You take in the sweet morning air before heading into the forest. Several centuries ago when you found most animals started to avoid your section of the woods, you had to make a decision to create away of keeping food replenishable so you didn't have to travel far to at least have something to eat. That decision led to you creating a fishing pool near your home.
The pool wasn't far and could easily be reached in a matter of minutes, you remember how hard it was to create a hole large enough to be efficient for the fish you wanted to keep and to allow you to catch the fish without to much difficulty.
You pass through thick brush and slither into a clearing. You mentally sigh as you lay eyes on your small pool, you make your way to it's edge and peer in. The fish inside try to get away from you but with the pool being only six metres wide and three metres deep they had nowhere to go. The fish in the pool was the collection from several fishing trips to the nearby river, you survey the pool and smile as the memories of your first fishing ventures flash back.
You plunge a tentacle into the pool and impale a fish on it's end, you pull it out and smash it on the ground. You hold the fish up and when satisfied it wouldn't move no more you bite into it. A tear rolls down your face as you relish the flavour, you have no idea why you cry but you do anyway, and it happens every time.
You impale and consume your third fish when you hear something that sounded like screaming. You look around with your one eye and mentally shrug, turning back to your pool you lift up your tentacle again before snapping back round when you definitely hear screaming. You leave your pool and climb the nearest tree, in a few seconds your hearing for the sounds again.
“Help me! Somepony help!”
You snap your gaze around and gauge the distance. It wasn't far. You climb down and head in the direction of the shouting. You hear the plead for help a few more times before you finally close in on the source. You come to a small clearing not far from your cave and see a Manticore fighting with two Timberwolves, you watch as the Timberwolves claw and scratch at the Manticore.
You stay still as to not become a third participant in the fight, you then notice a form not far from the fighting predators and your heart rate increases. There not twenty metres from you was Roseluck, she was layed out on the ground and her eyes were closed. You realise that she probably fainted as she has no wounds on her body.
Your form starts to shake as you start to feel anger, one of your favourite ponies is lying near two sets of creatures, and you couldn't stand by. You leap from the bushes and the other predators don't even notice. You let out a high pitch screech which gets their attention. The fight stops as the Timberwolves and the Manticore stare at you. You extend several of your tentacles and whip them on the floor getting several snap sounds in return.
~So who's first?~ You mentally ask knowing the other predators can't understand.
The Timberwolves look at one another and then run off.
~Pussies~ You think turning your gaze back on the Manticore who growls at you. ~So? You're the one with balls? Then let's rock motherfucker!~
The Manticore roars and charges you, with one movement you grab a tree and pull yourself up. The Manticore hits the ground where you were and then looks around for you. The Manticore looks up and snarls.
~Goodnight sweet prince~ You mentally state as you drop from above and wrap your tentacles around the Manticore. ~Let's apply the pressure now shall we?~ You tighten the hold around the Manticore's mid section and around it's neck. ~Let's see how much you can take?~ You tighten further and the Manticore starts to let out whimpers of pain. You apply greater pressure around it's neck and with one quick movement of your limbs you hear a delightful crack as the Manticore's neck breaks.
~Heh, not much then~ You drop the Manticore's corpse and turn to find Roseluck was staring directly at you. You freeze. You stare at each other, both of you where getting ready to run. You turn and head away when you hear Roseluck behind you.
“Wait, don't go.” You stop and slowly turn. “I-I don't know what you are but...I can't walk. Both of my back legs are broken.” You shake as you realise you came to late. “C-Can you help me?” You see Roseluck turn away from you and mutter. “Of course it can't understand you Rose, it's a creature from the Everfree.” You watch as Roseluck lowers her head back down. “I guess I'll just be a meal for the Timberwolves when they come back.” Roseluck sighs and then starts to cry, you tear up as you hear her sobs.
You slither over to her and stop just shy of her body. Extending a tentacle you tap her shoulder, Roseluck's eyes snap open and her body trembles when she notices your just a few feet away. You reach out a tentacle and in the ground nearby you write...
[I can help]
Roseluck's eyes go even wider as she looks to you and then to what you wrote.
“Y-you can understand me?”
[Yes I can] You write.
“B-But how?”
[I'm not from here, but I can understand you]
“I...I...”
[I can get you to safety Rose, if you can trust me]
“How do you know me?”
[Your mark, I guess your name is Rose] You lie.
“Oh, yeah. I don't know if I can trust you.”
[Then just be still]
You extend several tentacles and lift up Roseluck, you mentally chuckle as her face turns into terror. You hold Roseluck close as you head off towards Ponyville. You take only twenty minutes to reach the outskirts of the forest. Looking through the trees you see a few ponies walking down the road and lay Roseluck down, you turn to her and drag a tentacle across her muzzle.
“What was that for?”
You look around and find no dry ground to write on. You turn to her and point a tentacle towards town and then back to you before shaking your body.
“You can't go to town? Why?”
~Seriously?~
You gesture to yourself and Roseluck blushes.
“Oh, right.”
You pick Roseluck up again and drop her outside the forest on the grass verge beside the road, you look down the road again and see the ponies have stopped for a chat with another. You give Roseluck one more glance then with a piercing shrill you call out, Rose looks to you with a pained expression but you drag a tentacle over her muzzle again before turning around and vanishing from sight. You slither until you reach your cave entrance.
You glance back.
~Did I do the right thing?~ You think. ~I hope she's going to be alright~ You look to your cave and sigh. ~Guess I better get dinner~
Roseluck layed in the hospital bed with both of her back legs in casts. She was looking out the nearest window towards the Everfree, thinking about her encounter with the strange creature. Rose looks to the door of her room when she hears a knock.
“It's open!” Roseluck calls.
The room door swings open and Roseluck smiles as her two friends Daisy and Lily enter.
“Hey Rose,” Lily chirps. “How's the legs?”
“Getting there.” Rose replies. “They ache a bit though.”
“Well you shouldn't have gone out alone! You could have been killed!” Daisy states. “It's a miracle you managed to get away.”
“About that, can I tell you guys something?” Rose asks, giving her friends a pleading look.
“Sure, you can tell us anything.” Lily answers.
“Yeah we're pals are we not?” Daisy adds.
“I didn't get away, I made it up.”
Daisy and Lily look to one another then back to Roseluck.
“What do you mean Rose?” Lily asks, approaching Roseluck's bed.
“I was saved...by a creature.” Lily and Daisy give her 'bullshit' looks. “No I mean it. I nearly died when I got attacked but I was saved by this creature I've never seen before. I think...I think it was the creature from legend, the one they say prowls the forest.”
“What you mean the so called Manticore killer?” Daisy asks.
Roseluck nods. “Yes, it came out of the bushes and scared off the Timberwolves, the Manticore stood it's ground but failed.” Roseluck turns her head and peers out the window again. “And it watches us.”
“Come again?” Lily says.
“It's true! Seriously I couldn't make this stuff up! It drew in the ground and wrote to me, it can't talk but it can understand us and can even write. The weird thing was is that I understood it.” Rose turns her head back to her friends. “It told me it watches Ponyville, I think it wants to help pony kind. It helped me get back to the main road into town and even risked it's own discovery to get me help.”
“So this creature saved you then helped you get back to town?” Daisy asks.
“Yes.”
“I don't know what to make of this.” Lily states, looking confused.
“I wanted to tell you girls because I want to thank it for saving me.”
“You what now?” Lily questions.
“I want to thank it.” Roseluck replies.
“Are you nuts!? You just survived getting killed and you want to go back in and thank this unknown creature for saving you!?” Daisy shouts.
“Yes I do.”
Daisy and Lily both look to each other again and then back to Roseluck.
“If your going I'm coming too.” Daisy states.
“And me, friends always stick together.” Lily adds.
“Thanks girls, I should be out in a few days.”
“Next time Roseluck, don't go alone.”
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. You sat staring at the flames of the fire in your cave, the forest gets dark quickly and you brought the three ponies to your cave for safety. Daisy and Lily had squealed when your house sharers had taken flight to begin their nightly hunting.
“So this is your home?” Lily asks, looking around. Her eyes fall on your collection of objects and her eyes go wide. “Hey, That's mine!” Lily jumps up heads to your collection and picks up a necklace. “I lost this last year!” Lily turn and gives you narrow stare.
You shrink under her gaze and try to make yourself as small as possible.
“Did you take this?” Lily questions, thrusting the necklace towards you.
You shrink further and notice Daisy and Roseluck seemed to be awaiting an answer too. You extend out a limb and write in the floor.
[I did]
The three ponies gasp in shock.
[I can explain] You write further.
“Are you some kind of stalker? A monster perv?” Lily asks.
[No]
“Then what are you? Why did you take this?”
You know bringing them here was a bad idea but you couldn't leave them outside at nightfall. You mentally sigh and think about how you are going to explain yourself.
You lift up your tentacle and slowly you write your explanation.
[Twelve hundred years ago I was brought here by Discord under the promise of giving me my dream life. I was betrayed and left here. My form was altered and it took several years for me to change into this monster. For many years I was filled with rage and hate for what Discord did to me, but I did nothing. I watched as discord plunged the land into chaos and played with the ponies. I watched as the two royal sisters rose up and vanquished him. I sat as the world continued around me. I was pathetic, I was a monster to which no animal would approach. Even the Manticores and Timberwolves dare to tread on my territory and yet I don't want to be feared.] A single tear escapes from your eye. [I want to be loved]
“But that doesn't explain why you took this.” Lily says.
[Before I came here I was a species called human, I lived on a planet called Earth. I hated my life there ,dead end job, no girlfriend, no prospects. Discord gave me a chance to turn my fortune around to give me what I craved, a life, a proper life. He wanted to give me a life full of flesh and wealth, to take me to someplace I could be me, the real me.]
“Flesh?” Daisy asks.
[Female companionship of intimate variety]
“Is that why you took this?” Lily asks, holding out the necklace again.
[Yes, I watched as Ponyville was built, as it sprang up out of the land. I made friends with a small filly who was one of the first settlers. She played with me and then one day she was attacked while gathering in the woods. I protected her and ever since I have kept a vigil on Ponyville, keeping away the most dangerous of creatures and making the town safe. Even if no pony knew I was doing it.] You pause to let the mares read to catch up.
“You where there at the founding of Ponyville?” Roseluck asks.
[Yes]
“The little filly you helped, do you remember her name?”
[No, it was so long ago]
“I think you could be talking about Granny Smith over at Sweet Apple Acres.”
[I don't know]
“You said you protected the town even when ponies didn't realise it, why?”
[Because I loved them]
“Who?” Daisy questions.
[The ponies, all of them. I loved their colours, their personalities]
“You loved all the ponies and yet you kept yourself in the dark?”
[Look at me! I'm a monster! Why would they want my help? I'm hideous!] Your body lets out painful whimpering as your emotions clash. [I'm a freak of change who should stay out of every ponies way]
“You saved me when you could have walked away, why didn't you?” Roseluck asks, standing and walking towards you. “Answer me that.”
[Because I find you attractive in more than one way] You retract your writing tentacle and head for your bed at the back of the cave. You extend out another larger tentacle and write a message before turning in for the night. [You can sleep on the soft furs by the wall there, I won't blame you for leaving before I wake up, just don't wake the bats when you leave] You slither over to your bed and lie down, you give the ponies one last look before closing your eye and drifting off.
Daisy, Roseluck and Lily all stare at the creature as it lies down on a makeshift bed at the back of the cave. The ponies cross over to the pile of furs big enough so all three of them could lie down and sleep in comfort. They lie on their bellies and whisper to each other.
“What now?” Daisy asks, her gaze drifting back to the creature.
“I feel like dirt, I should never have asked those questions.” Lily says, dropping her head. “I think I hurt him.”
“I just don't know what to do girls, I think he likes all three of us. I just don't know how to handle this.” Roseluck states, lowering her head to rest on her forelegs. “I've never had a stallion or anypony say they find me attractive before.”
“He's honest about his feelings, how many stallions could you say are like that?” Lily says.
“I know and as weird as it my sound. I'm warming up to him.” Daisy states. “He may look like some monster but he's far from it.”
“I agree.” Lily replies, nodding. “He's so nice and even though it was a shock he got us here to safety before it got dark.”
“I think we could at least do something for him, I still have the food.” Roseluck says.
“We could make him something in the morning to say thank you.” Daisy adds.
The three ponies all nod agreement before Roseluck gives the creature one last look.
“But I think we should get some rest, at least we'll be safe tonight.”
“Yeah.” Daisy and Lily reply both together.
As Daisy and Lily drift off into slumber Roseluck was looking at the creatures tentacles and several thoughts came to her head, the most prominent one was 'what exactly could he do with those limbs?'
Roseluck shook her head of the thoughts and dropped her head onto her forelegs, but not before a smile crept onto her muzzle.

Chapter 5
You awake the next morning to the something you haven't sensed in a long time, the smell of proper cooked meat. You rise from your slumber and slide off your bed. You gaze around your cave and find that the three mares had gone, you let out a small whimper of sadness.
You raise up a tentacle that had the brilliant job of sensing the air, it almost worked just like a nose but more sensitive. You use the tentacle to pin point the meat smell and find it was coming from outside. You immediately slither forward and out your home to only be ambushed by a well placed beam of sunlight. Your single eye maybe encased in your writhing tentacles but the sun never failed to partially blind you.
“Your finally awake.”
You cast your gaze around to the voice and see Roseluck standing by a fire with a large chunk of meat roasting on top. You make your way over and stop in front of her, Roseluck starts to blush.
“We didn't know how you liked your meat, so we decided to roast it on a fire.”
You extend a tentacle.
[You cooked meat?]
“Yeah. We ponies don't eat meat but we still can learn how to cook it, besides Lily has a griffon friend so she knew how.”
[I don't know what to say]
“You don't have to say anything, it's our thanks for yesterday.” Roseluck leans towards you. “And thanks for not having your way with us.” Roseluck adds, whispering.
[Well I'm not that kind of monster, though I can if you want me to]
Roseluck's mouth opens and closes slowly while her eyes widen. You also see her tail start to swish back and forth.
“Now I have no words to say.” Roseluck finally states. “You were joking though, right?”
[Maybe] You mentally smirk. [What about the others, shouldn't they get to choose?]
“Choose what?”
[If they want to experience the tentacle!] You raise up several large tentacles. [Or are they the watching type?]
Roseluck's face burns bright red as you let out several chirps of laughter.
“You wouldn't hurt us though, if we wanted too?” Roseluck asks.
Your chirps of laughter stop and your brain does a double take.
[Excuse me?]
“I asked if you would hurt us, if we did want to experience the tentacle.”
Now it was your turn to pause as Roseluck's question sunk in. Was she really asking what you though she was asking?
[No, I wouldn't] You reply.
“That's good, it let's us know for the future.”
[Future?]
“Well this won't be the first time we'll visit you, and maybe we can grow our relationship.” Roseluck turns to look at the fire. “Truth is, nopony wants to get with me. I go on dates and such but no stallion seems to be that interested.” Roseluck turns back to you. “But I look at you and I don't see a mass of limbs, I see more than that, I see a creature longing for somepony to come and make it happy.” Roseluck's right fore hoof scuffs the ground. “And maybe I could be that pony for you, or all three of us.”
[What if the others don't want to?]
“You never heard our conversation this morning, Lily practically jumped at the idea and Daisy kind of said yes out of curiosity.”
[What about other ponies? Won't they find out?]
“Not if we don't tell anypony no, but I can see the bad side if somepony finds out.”
[Yeah, flower ponies make love with monster in forest. Great headlines]
“Yeah...”
“Oh hey! Your finally awake!” You turn to see Daisy and Lily coming out of the nearby brush with full saddle bags. “We brought you some more food if you want it...you know for a more varied diet.” Lily gives me a quick smile.
[Thanks girls] You write.
“No problem.” Daisy says and looks to Roseluck. “What's up with you rose? You look flushed.”
[She asked 'the' question] You write, your writing limb not stopping as you continue. [So? I have to ask you girls. Would you be willing to be friends with me?]
“What kind of friends?” Daisy asks.
[Very close friends]
“Oh, Rose asked that question. Heh, never thought she'd be the one to ask it.” Lily states, turning to look at Roseluck with a grin. “I think I speak for Daisy aswell but as creatures that live here in the Everfree, you're not so bad. You haven't tried to either eat us or rape us yet, that's a bonus in my book.”
You let out a small shrill [Thanks girls, to hear somepony say that after twelve hundred years, it's very comforting]
“Ohh! I think the meat is done, though I'm not sure.” Daisy says, looking at the flame cooked meal above the fire. “Try tasting some.”
You reach out with a larger tentacle and pry off some meat, reeling it in and placing it in your mouth you writhe in contentment.
[It's perfect] You write after taking another piece.
“Ha! See I told you he would like it!” Lily exclaims, nudging Roseluck.
“Yeah, I know.” Roseluck walks closer to you and you watch her with great interest. “I have to ask. What do we call you?”
[I have no name, not anymore anyway] You write.
“We can't have that!” Lily shouts. “We can't have you going around without a name, it just not right.”
[I suppose I can think of something pony-like]
“Why not something from your world?” Roseluck asks. “There must be something that fits your form, it will be better than anything pony-like.”
You think for several minutes as various names cross your mind, then one settles in and you think about it.
[I might have one]
“Finally!” Lily shouts, throwing her hooves up. “So, what did you choose?”
[There's many cultures on my old world but none of them have words that I can relate to. I have chosen one out of a fictional story, it's easy to learn and to speak so it shouldn't be a problem]
“Well, what is it?” Daisy asks.
[Qun]
“Qun?” Roseluck repeats as she stares down at my new name. “Could have been worse.”
“I like it.” Lily replies.
“Me too.” Daisy adds.
[Then that's my name] ~It's so good having a name again, maybe after all these centuries I can finally come out of the forest.~ You shake your head at the stupid thought. ~What am I thinking? I'm a monster to everypony else!~ Your gaze wonders to Roseluck's flank as she turns to talk to Daisy. ~God I'm so lonely.~
You shiver as the thoughts of being forever alone filter through your mind once again, you look up as you feel a hoof touch your writing tendril.
“Are you ok Qun? I saw your limbs shiver.” Daisy says, her hoof not leaving your tentacle.
You curl the writing tendril up her leg and give it a small squeeze, you relish the softness of her fur. You let her leg go and write in the floor.
[I'm fine...just some old feelings I would rather forget]
“I wish I could hug you properly Qun, you look like you need it.”
[I do have a body under all this mass, but I won't show you, I don't want to scare you]
“I understand.” You turn your eye left and notice Roseluck has moved to your side.
“Yeah, you're our friend now, if you don't want to show us then we understand.” Lily says, a grin never leaving her face. Your hearts nearly stops though as Lily stands up and wiggles her flank at you. “Though if you want any of this then your going to have to let us in one day. You're not alone now Qun, we are here for you.”
You couldn't help letting out a small pathetic shrill as your eye tears up, after all this time you have finally found someone that can look pass the tentacles. You think about doing something but can't help but feel nervous about doing it.
~Will they feel ok about it? I guess I better give it a try~
You suddenly wrap three large tentacles around the ponies, one to each and lift them up, you smile as they don't shriek. You pull the three ponies closer and three smaller tendrils extend out to meet them, you drag the tendrils over their muzzles and up their cheeks before letting the ponies go. The three flower ponies fan their faces with their hooves.
“Well, that certainly was interesting, I'm all hot now.” Lily states, her face crimson.
“I agree. I was not expecting that to feel...gentle.” Daisy replies.
“Now you see girls, he likes us, maybe a bit more.” Roseluck says.
“Yeah,” Daisy answers. “I'm sure I felt that large tentacle getting lower.”
The girls all giggle. You look up to the sky and notice it coming up to noon.
[Aren't you girls late to open your shops?] You ask in writing.
“Oh my!” Lily says looking up. “It's nearly noon, we better get home.”
[Thank you for the meal, I loved it] You write as the ponies all gather their stuff to head home. [Would you like an escort?]
The three mares all look at each other before smiling and nodding. You pick the ponies up as if they weighed nothing and proceeded to head in the direction of Ponyville.
It took only fifteen minutes to get the mares to the forest edge but you had to beat a hasty retreat as a familiar purple alicorn and her purple dragon escort came trotting along.
“Oh hey Roseluck, Daisy, Lily. What are you girls doing out here, shouldn't you be at your stands by now?” Twilight asks, her head tilting slightly.
“Yeah, just delivered a large order princess, took all three of us.” Lily replies, her head bowing once.
Twilight waves a hoof. “You don't need to call me princess, Twilight is just fine.”
Spike pokes Twilights side. “Twilight, we're going to be late.”
“Are you doing something royal?” Daisy asks excitedly.
“No, I promised to meet Princess Luna at Sweet Apple Acres, something about a new cider drink.” Twilight responds with a smile. “Well I better get going, nice speaking with you.” Twilight adds as she and Spike continue on.
“Have fun Twilight!” The three mares all say at once, before sighing heavily.
“That was close.” Roseluck says.
“Yeah, if Twilight saw Qun he would be done for.” Lily states.
“All the testing and probing.” Daisy adds, her body shivering at the thought.
“Oh please! There's only one type of probing your hoping for Daisy.” Lily says with a grin.
“Ugh Lily! You can be so crass sometimes.”
“Yeah but you know it's true.”
The three mares all head into town, their giggles loud enough for all to hear.
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. “We're lost again ain't we?”
“N-No, I'm sure he went this way!”
“Give it up Rose, you have no idea where we are!”
Roseluck, Daisy and Lily gave their surroundings a look before all three sigh. They ran after Qun in the direction Twilight pointed and left to find him, however they haven't had much luck as all three ponies were now lost.
“Ok! I'm lost! Fine now!?” Roseluck says slumping down. “I'm useless...” Roseluck feels a leg wrap around her neck.
“Don't worry I'm sure if we back tracked we could find a way out.” Lily states, only to look back and see the darkening forest. “Or not...”
The three ponies jump in fright as a loud growl emanates from their left.
“Oh please let that be Qun playing a prank!” Daisy says, huddling with the others.
“Q-Qun?” Roseluck asks the darkness.
The three ponies hopes were dashed however as a Manticore leaps out the bushes and a second follows after.
“Two Manticores!” Lily screams. “Help! Somepony help us!”
“Lily it's no use, this far out nopony is going to hear us.” Daisy says as the Manticores get closer and raise up to strike.
A second later one of the Manticores is impaled through the chest and the girls scream. The limp body is lifted into the air and the ponies spot a familiar creature behind it.
“Qun!” They all shout.
You slither through the forest eager to find the ponies you love, you approach the road leading to town thinking the three mares would still be there only to find the road devoid of life. You get slightly blinded when Twilight and Spike flash into being in front of you, you reach out a tentacle and give Twilight a tap. The mare spins around and grabs her chest with a hoof.
“Qun! You could have given me a heart attack!”
You start to write in the ground. [Can't find marefriends]
“They went looking for you in the forest.” Twilight replies.
You let out a shrill before turning back into the forest and heading deeper in.
“Glad I could help!” Twilight shouts after you.
You charge through the trees with reckless abandon, your heart was beating fast and all the smaller creatures of the woods were jumping out your way. That's when you hear it, the scream of terror. You look around to judge the direction when another cry for help goes up, you growl and head towards the screams. You reach the area of screaming only to growl in rage when you spot your three mares cowering before two Manticores. You leap out of the bushes and with one movement you impale the nearest Manticore with a tendril, you knew it was dead as you pierced it's heart.
You turn your attention to the last Manticore, you notice it was bigger than the other one possibly a large male. You growl and shrill at the Manticore but it doesn't get the hint and charges you. You lift up two large tentacles to deal with it but you get a shock when a larger predator jumps out and attacks the Manticore. The Manticore shrieks in pain which gets cut off quick as it's body gets bitten in half.
You and your pony friends just stare at the new creature, it was chimera. You have heard of chimeras and even found one once in your life but never have you seen or heard of one this size. You start to think it's maybe from the inner forest where the weird magics are strongest. You watch as the chimera drops one half of the Manticore's corpse and fixes it's gaze on you. The Chimera's scorpion tail twitches and flicks at you, baiting you to attack but you wasn't some mindless beast and wasn't going to fall for it.
You spread your tentacles outward making yourself look much larger than you are, you see the Chimera stop and try to figure out exactly what it was dealing with. The Chimera shakes it's head and heads for the three terrified ponies, it growls when you move to place your body in front of them.
“Q-Qun, run save yourself!” Roseluck shouts.
You respond to her shouting by extending out and wrapping a tentacle around each pony and pulling them close. You shrill to the Chimera following it up with a long deep growl. The Chimera lowers it's head and snaps it's jaws before growling. You grip the ponies tighter as you extend the tentacles holding them out toward the bushes. You drop them down and reel the tentacles back.
“What is he doing?” Lily asks, when the tendrils holding them are retracted away.
“He's going to fight it.” Daisy replies. “He's going to fight the Chimera...For us.”
The other two look to Daisy as if she was being mad.
“I'm serious!” Daisy exclaims. “Look what he did! He showed the Chimera we're his and the Chimera ignored him. Now he has to fight it to keep his territory.”
“How do you know this?” Roseluck asks.
“Some of us paid attention in biology class.”
“We have to do something! We can't leave him alone now! We love him too much!” Lily states, gesturing through the bushes.
“Lily's right!” Daisy adds standing up. “We have to help him...as his lovers!”
“Even though we haven't done any loving yet?” Lily questions.
“Yes.”
“That's good enough for me!” Lily turns to Roseluck to find she wasn't there. “Uh...Rose?” Lily looks around and spots Roseluck moving around the small clearing and flanking the Chimera. Lily also notices the long pointed branch in her right foreleg.
You stare down the Chimera for what seems like an hour before it makes it's move. The Chimera charges you and goes for a straight pounce, you dodge out the way following up the move by whipping out one of your large tendrils and cutting a deep gash in the Chimera's side.
The Chimera screeches in pain and backs away. The Chimera looks at it's side then back to you before roaring and charging with it's tail pointed towards you. You have heard of one way to kill a Chimera and now you had your chance. You wait for the Chimera to close the distance before you grab the Chimera's tail with your largest tentacles, the Chimera's charge stops and a game of who's stronger started.
Your grip holds firm as the Chimera roars and tries to bite you, you use three smaller tendrils to hold the Chimera's mouth closed. You stare into the Chimera's eyes even though it couldn't see yours. The Chimera suddenly screeches in pain and you flinch as it wasn't you that caused it.
“Take that you bucker!” You look around the chimera and your eyes go wide as you spot Roseluck piercing the Chimera's hide with a large sharp branch. “Leave Qun alone!”
What happens next causes your mind to snap, the Chimera lifts it's perched back leg and with one motion kicks Roseluck across the clearing. You watch in horror as her body bounces on the ground and comes to an unmoving halt. You slowly turn your gaze back to Chimera and with a growl that makes the ground shake you put more tentacles around the Chimera's body and lift the creature into the air. You shrill out in rage that makes the leaves on the trees shake and slam the Chimera into the ground, you lift the Chimera up and again bring it down hard.
You continue to shrill in rage as you slam the Chimera's body again and again into the forest ground. The Chimera had long since fell silent but it didn't matter, you continue to smash the remains of the Chimera into the ground. When you finally let the chimera go you rip the Chimera's tail off with a sickening cracking sound. You stare at the body as without it's tail the body turns to stone and then turns to dust.
You continue to stare at the dust on the floor but is snapped out of your trance as Lily calls to you.
“Qun! Quick, Roseluck is still alive but she's hurt badly!”
You slither over and reach Daisy and Lily who are crouching down near Roseluck. You give Roseluck a quick look but you already know that she is beyond your help. You turn to the other two and grab Roseluck. You gently lift Roseluck causing her to groan but you hold her steady.
“Qun? What are you doing?”
You look towards the direction of Ponyville and point with a tendril.
“No! It's still daylight, you'll be spotted!” Daisy shouts moving to stand in front of you.
You reach out a tendril and write in the ground. [Have no choice, Roseluck will die!] You suddenly take off leaving the two flower ponies behind.
You shoot through the forest at speed and still manage to keep Roseluck steady in your tentacles. You make it to the edge of the forest and suddenly stop. You haven't left the forest in daylight for nearly 900 years, you glance to Roseluck and your one eye narrows.
~You will not die!~ You think as you dash out of the forest and head towards the hospital on the edge of Ponyville. You speed pass several ponies who cry out in alarm but you don't stop. You reach the hospital and barge through the doors, the ponies in the waiting room scream and hide behind chairs but you weren’t here for them. You look to the main reception desk and see the pony there cowering in fear, you dart up and place Roseluck on the ground in front of the desk.
The pony behind the desk peers over and her eyes go wide at the sight of Roseluck. You point to Roseluck and shrill in panic, the nurse looks at you in confusion. You point frantically at Roseluck again and shrill louder you then slither back and lower your body turning yourself into a pathetic pile of slow moving tentacles. You watch as the nurse approaches Roseluck and shouts for a doctor, you turn your gaze to a door leading to the back as a doctor rushes out but stops when he sees you.
The doctor shakes his head before running over to Roseluck and checking her heartbeat by pressing his ear to her chest. The doctor asks the nurse something and she points to you. You lower further to the ground as the doctor approaches you as two more doctor take Roseluck into the back on a stretcher. The doctor notices your submissive behaviour and puts a hoof up.
“I'm not going to hurt you, I just wanted to ask you a few questions.”
You extend out a tendril and do a writing motion on the floor, the doctor raises an eyebrow but then quickly understands what you are trying to convey. The doctor rushes over to the reception desk and grabs a quill and some parchment, he drops it in front of you and you let out a shrill of thanks. You pick up the quill and dab it in the ink pot. You put the quill to the parchment and write so the doctor can see.
[Ask away doc and I'm not here to hurt anypony]
The doctors eyes widen. “You are cognitive intelligent?” The doctor asks, looking up to you.
[Yes] You write.
“Fascinating, just fascinating!”
[Focus doc, Explain later]
“Right Right! I supposed my first question would be what happened to the mare you brought in?”
[Chimera attacked her, no sting just kicked her]
“Ah that would be easier to treat, next question is what is your relationship if any to the mare?”
[Though that is a personal, I'm a close friend] You leave out the fact you're more than that for now.
“Very well, do you know if she has any other injuries?”
[You are taking the fact I'm a creature from the Everfree very easily doctor]
The doctor chuckles. “I was here for the Tirek incident and with the element bearers in town it's never a dull moment, though you are a scary creature to some I am not frightened by you.”
[Thanks doc, It's nice meeting a new pony that won't run and scream at the sight of me]
“I aim to please but I must ask, are you going anywhere?”
[No, I do not intend to leave until I know Roseluck is ok]
“Very well, I will go and attend to your friend and will keep you informed of her condition.” The doctor says, turning and heading for the door leading back into the hospital.
You watch the doctor leave and slump to the floor, you perk up when you hear a mare cry out to your side.
“Dandelion no!”
You feel something touch a tentacle and look down to see a bright yellow filly no older than three or four poking your tentacle. The filly had a bandage around her head and had one eye covered, her uncovered eye was narrowed as she poked you. You let out a whispering shrill and the filly looks up not realising she had grabbed your attention, the filly let's out a small gasp of surprise as a tendril lifts her off the ground. You look to the mare that cried out and notice she was holding her two front hooves to her mouth, a look of terror over her face.
You extend out the tendril with the filly on it and hold her out in front of the mare, the mare reaches up the filly and you let the tendril go and reel it back in. the mare just gives you a look of confusion and then whispers something to a stallion next to her. Next thing you know the waiting room had burst into sudden whispering and you even heard some ponies stating they had never seen a friendly monster before. Though you hate the word monster you couldn't help but smile as they called you a friendly one.
You didn't know what happened but you must have fallen asleep waiting for news about Roseluck. You open your eyes and find your not in the hospital anymore but in some sort of grey room. You start to panic as you realise there’s no way out, you screech and shrill as you slither around the room. You come to a dead stop when a hidden door in the farthest wall from you opens and a figure walks through.
“You are awake, that is good.”
You instantly recognise the voice and quickly try to get away, you had no idea why she instilled such fear in you but it was always your natural instinct to run when ever she got within a mile of you.
Princess Celestia walks into the small beam of light coming down from a gem in the ceiling. Her gaze burns into you and you shrink down, submitting yourself before the solar ruler. You let out small shrills of whimpering as the princess gets closer. You have no idea why but without even thinking you raise up a tentacle and hold it up before her, you turn your gaze away.
“You are submitting to me? Why? You have done nothing wrong.”
You slowly look back to Celestia. The princess was smiling down at you but you still didn't move. The princess giggles at you and looks back over her shoulder.
“I think you would do better my sister, he seems to be afraid of me.”
Your gaze snaps to the door in the wall as another voice from your past graces your ears.
“You are an imposing figure sister, besides it has been centuries since I have seen him.” Princess Luna says, walking through the door and standing before you. “Hello my friend, it has been awhile.” Luna smiles and you break under it.
You start to cry, your pathetic whimpering echoes in the small room and Luna walks forward to touch the still held aloft tentacle. You feel her hoof slide along your tentacles scales and your body relaxes.
“It's ok.” Luna coos, “There's nothing to be scared about.” Luna grins at you. “I know what would cheer you up, would you like to talk again?”
Celestia steps forward. “Sister? He can talk?”
Luna nods. “Yes, he wasn't always like this. His vocal cords are still intact but they have altered to produce the shrills and growls he uses. I however found a spell to temporarily turn the growls and shrills into equestrian, but it doesn't last long.”
You look at Luna and move the tentacle to stroke her cheek.
“I will take that as a yes.” Luna giggles.
Luna's horn glows and lowers to your body as her horn touches your body you feel the tingling feeling of magic. Luna raises her head back up and smiles.
“Say something.”
You look to Celestia and then back to Luna. “Can...Understand?”
Celestia's eyes widen. “Luna that is incredible, I can understand him.”
“Can...understand...You...Too.” You state. “How...Friend?”
“If you mean the pony you brought to the hospital, she is fine. She suffered some broken bones but nothing the doctors couldn't fix.” Luna replies. “She has expressed the need to see you, and judging by what she and her friends told us, you are more than just friends...Qun.”
“Rose...Explain?” You ask.
“Yes, she did.” Celestia says.
You slither away and stop in the corner of the room. “I...leave...you...angry...not...bother...again.”
“What makes you think we are angry?” Celestia asks, her face turning confused. “The fact that some of our little ponies have found a special somecreature to love...Or is that the problem?”
“I...Not...Pony...Thought...You...Mad.” You say.
The princesses both laugh. “Qun, we have Griffons and Minotaurs marrying and loving our ponies, why would you be any different? Not all ponies are creature phobic you know.”
You turn back to the princesses and show both are trying not to laugh at your predicament.
“I...see...Rose...now.” You say.
Celestia smiles. “I would be honoured to escort you to her room, I have heard much about you. Your exploits protecting Ponyville and a recent letter from Princess Sparkle has confirmed most of the rumours.”
“How...know...about...protecting?” You ask as the princesses gesture to the open doorway and you slither to it. “It...secret.”
Luna looks a little sheepish. “I may have had a part in that, Celestia found out about my play times with you and I kind of got pressured into telling her.” Luna gives you a smile as her cheeks turn a slight tinge of pink.
You look to Luna then Celestia before mentally shrugging. “It...no...problem.” You slither out the door only to appear in the hospital again, you turn back to see the grey room turn back into brightly lit hospital room. “What?”
“An illusion my old friend.” Luna answers coming out with her horn glowing.
You let out a surprise shrill but then realise that Luna has changed a lot since you played as young beings. “Impressive.” You say as something bumps into you. “What...that?” You turn to the impact and spot a young filly rubbing her head. You really can't believe that ponies keep bumping into you, considering your a large tentacle creature and therefore not very small. “You...ok?” You ask the small filly.
“Yeah, I think....” The filly looks up at you. “...so...” You watch as the fillies ears flatten back and her eyes start to water. “P-Please don't eat me!” The filly says, finally bawling her eyes out.
You did something at that moment that cause the eyes of both princesses to widen in shock. You reach down and lift the filly up cradling her in a tentacle like a mother would in her arms. You swing the filly back and forth as you make soft cooing sounds.
“I...not...hurt...filly....too....precious.” You say. “Too...cute!” You bop the filly on the nose with a smaller tendril and the filly stops crying as she tries not to giggle.
“That tickles!” The filly says, so you bop her nose again. “Stop, I'm going to sneeze!” You bop her again and the filly lets out a small squeak as she sneezes. “Told you!” The filly wipes her nose and looks up at you. “You're not scary.”
“Never.” You reply, scratching the fillies ear with a tendril. You let the filly go and she runs off waving back.
“That was...unexpected.” Celestia says, coming up beside you.
“Why?” You ask as you and the princesses with a now armoured escort continue down the hospital hall.
“I just never thought you to be experienced with foals.”
“You...can...thank...Luna...for...that.” You state.
You watch as Celestia turns to Luna and Luna blushes again.
“What exactly do you mean by that?” Celestia asks.
“Luna...helped...me...learn...skills...in...areas...I...didn't...know.”
“Such as?”
“Foal...holding....etiquette...towards...royals...and...how...to...scare...royal...guards.” You let out a small shrill of laughter, “that...day...you...found...your...bed...covered...in...green...slime...was...me.”
Celestia stamps a hoof. “Do you have any idea how long it took the castle maids to clean that up and to make an excuse as to why it was there!”
“Just be pleased sister you didn't learn what the slime was.” Luna says, seconds later holding a hoof to her mouth. “Oops, I shouldn't have said that.”
“Qun? Luna? What are you not telling me?”
You let out a sigh that sounded like a quiet growl. “Slime...was...personal...fluid.”
“Come again?” Celestia says, looking more confused.
“Slime...was...impregnation...fluid.”
“I still don't understand.”
“It was his sperm sister! Did he have to spell it.”
You then realise everything nearby just when extremely quiet. You look around and notice the guards failing to contain their amusement, you also notice Celestia was sporting a now red coat instead of the white one she should have.
“You mean Qun, you...in my bed?” Celestia looks to you.
“I...was...excited...by...you...back...then.” You carry on slithering forward to avoid any embarrassment. “You...had...nice...plot.”
“You...liked my plot?” Celestia asks, shaking off her state of shock.
“It...was...toned...and...perfectly...round.”
Celestia stops walking again and points a hoof to you. “Wait! You were the one spying on me when I reached adolescence weren't you!”
“Um? What do you mean sister?” Luna asks, now curious.
“When I reached old enough to have my first heat, I noticed that I was being followed by somepony or in this case somecreature. Every where I went I would have this feeling of being followed, yet everytime I turned or looked nothing was there. It was haunting!”
Your slithering comes to a halt as you realise that for the first time you basically went pedo on the princess when she was barely in age. You make the gesture to turn your body so the princess would know you have turned around.
“I'm...sorry...shouldn't...have...scared...you.” You state.
Celestia continues to stare at you before she finally smiles. “I take no offence, it's warming to me that someone took an interest in my plot. No other stallion did.” Celestia raises her head high and continues down the corridor. The princess passes you but not before giving you a slight bump with her hips.
You sit there slack jawed with Luna mimicking your expression, you turn your body around to watch Celestia walking away humming loudly.
“Did she just...?” Luna says, walking up to stand beside you.
“She...still...got...it” You exclaim before slithering on.
“Wait! What do you mean by that? Qun? Qun~?” Luna shouts after you. “Fine! But I will find out what you mean!” Luna adds trotting to catch up with you.
Celestia and Luna come to a stop in front of a door marked room twenty seven. You stop by the door and the princesses both give you smiles.
“This is the room of your 'friend'.” Celestia says. “You might find the other two ponies are in there with her.” Celestia knocks on the door, seconds later the door opens and Lily pops her head out.
“Oh princess! How are you...?” Lily's question trails off as she spots you wriggling nearby. “Qun!? Your ok!?” Lily shouts, flinging the door open and grabbing one of your tentacles. “We thought we would never see you again!”
You place another tentacle on Lily's back and give her a quick squeeze. “I'm...fine.” You feel Lily stiffen in your grip as she reels back.
“Y-you can talk?”
“Only for a short while, the spell should wear out in a few hours.” Luna states. “But for now yes he can talk but it's not perfect.”
“Is this what you really sound like or..?” Lily asks.
“No...just...sound...conversion.”
“Huh?” Lily started to look confused.
“It means his shrilling and growling is being translated into Equestrian.” Celestia states.
“Ah, now that makes sense.” Lily replies. “Do you want to see Rose?”
“Yes.” You answer.
“We will take our leave Qun, we have made the ponies aware of your existence and of the work you have done to protect them all these centuries. You shouldn't have problems with anypony but I have sent some pegasis guards to watch over Ponyville, just encase.” Celestia says with a smile. “I bid you farewell Miss Lily, do take good care of him now won't you?”
“We all will take good care of him princess, you can count on that.” You didn't like the way Lily grinned on the last part.

“How long will it last?” Daisy says, finally breaking out of her shock.
“A few hours or that's what Princess Luna said anyway.” Lily replies.
“It's...Nice...Speaking...To...You.” You say, “Even...If...It...Is...Broken.”
“I'm not saying it's weird but I just wish we could speak normally to you, you know with your normal voice.” Rose says from her bed, you notice she was trying to avoid looking at you.

Luna smiles. “You remember the last time I used the spell on you?”

Luna walks forward and places a hoof on a large tentacle. “Am I still your friend?”
“Yes...” Qun replies.
“Then let's get started.” Luna says stepping back as her horn glows.
Rose sighs in her bed. “Is it weird I really want to feel him inside me?”
Daisy and Lily both gasp at Rose's comment. Lily walks up to the bed and places a hoof on Rose's right fore leg.
“If it does then I'm weird too.” Lily looks around before leaning in. “Do you think it will be slimy?”

Chapter 10
Luna had left her sister to deal with some nobles and Luna could not deal with nobles today. Luna enters her room and instantly throws off her regalia, she sighs and flops on her bed. Luna just closes her eyes when a voice in her head makes her almost jump out her fur.
+Been awhile since I've been inside your bedroom+
Luna sits up and looks around. “Qun? Is that you?” Luna freezes as something touches her back, the feeling disappears before she could turn and detect it. “Qun! This isn't funny!” Luna cries out when she is suddenly lifted off the bed and held in the air.
+Got you again!+
Luna looks to her left when Qun comes out the shadows and even though she couldn't see his face she knew he was smirking.
“Wipe that smirk off your face and put me down.”
+It always amazed me how you could tell what expression I have even when you can't see my face.+
Luna giggles as Qun lowers her to the floor. “Call it mares intuition.”
+I've heard that before.+ Qun chuckles.
“Oh shush you!” Luna says throwing a pillow at Qun. “What can I do for you my friend?”
+I think the flower mares want to experience the tentacle.+
Luna blanks for a moment but recovers quickly. “Excuse me?”

Luna smiles and hums. “Now go back to your mares it won't take me long to get the room ready. Talk to them.”
+I will+ Qun replies turning away and leaving by the main door much to the surprise of the two guards stationed outside.
Luna smiles at the door when it closes but turns when she senses another presence nearby.
“How long were you listening?”
Celestia steps off the balcony and into the room. “Not long, you still won't tell him?”
Luna sighs. “How can I now? He has the mares he wants, I'm nothing more than a friend to him.” Luna turns away and heads for the door. “I must go see to a room for him and his mates.” Luna exits leaving Celestia by herself.
Celestia lowers her head giving it a small shake. “Sister, always the fool when it comes to love. You will announce your feelings for him, even if I have to give you a little shove.” Celestia turns and exits back onto the balcony. Extending her wings she takes off heading for the only pony she knew could help her in this little matchmake of hers. “I wonder what Twilight's up to?”
You head back to the infirmary to talk to the three mares that want to be with you, even in this form. You slither around a corner only to almost knock out a unicorn coming the other way, your single eye narrows as you already know the unicorn in question.

You stand there for several seconds before letting out many shrills and and sounds of merriment your body could make. You look up when you here a chime and notice it was getting late by a small ornate clock on the wall.
+Better get going or Luna will beat me there+
Roseluck, Daisy and Lily all stare at the princess as if she had just grown a second head. Princess Luna had arrived at the Infirmary and provided the three mares within the key and the royal decree that any pony who disturbs them without consent will be sent to Tartarus for the day. Luna was about to turn around when Roseluck asks her a question.
“Princess Luna? Could I ask you a question...about Qun?”
Luna turns back and gives the mare a grin. “Of course, what would you like to know?”
Roseluck blushes and twiddles her hooves. “I or should I say we were wondering what was Qun like when you first met him?”
Luna walks to Rose's bedside and sits down, Daisy and Lily take up positions beside her. Luna clears her throat and starts her tale.
“Well, when I first met him I wasn't in the best of moods....”
Everfree Castle Grounds – 1027 Years Ago
A small blue filly stomps through the Royal Gardens, her face a scowl of hatred. The filly stops at a small patch of flowers before kicking and destroying them with relentless fury.
“Why does she always have to pick on me! I may be the youngest but I'm not stupid!” the filly looks up to the sky and frowns at the sun. “My sister may have the sun but one day the moon shall be mine!” The blue filly sits down on her haunches as tears come to her eyes. “I'm not useless! I'm not....” The filly breaks down and starts to wail, it was then that her ears perk up as her name was being called. The filly stands up as it wasn't her mum or dad it was Her. The filly looks behind her and spots an opening in the freshly cut hedge. The filly trots over to the hole and gives it a look. “I can fit..I think.” The filly snaps her head back as the voice gets closer. The filly looks back to the hole and goes for it, a decision that she regrets seconds later as she didn't see the long drop in to river on the other side.
The filly lets out a cry of surprise that was cut off as she hits the water and starts to flail about. The water was flowing too fast for her to swim and the current kept pulling her under every few seconds. The filly cried for help as she knew the river was carrying her away. The filly cried as she ran thoughts of never seeing her family again through her head. The filly's body was starting to give out, she could feel the coldness drawing out her strength and her eye getting heavy. Her body started to sink but was stopped as something wrapped around her form and pulled her free from the torrent. The filly looked up at her saviour but could only see a green writhing mass before her eyes closed and she passed out.
The filly knew she wasn't dead as she could still feel her body shaking. Her eyes opened slowly as sounds of stones being brought together echoed around her. The filly tried to lift her head but didn't have the strength so she settled with just turning her head on the ground. The filly looked around and found she was in some sort of cave, the ceiling was glowing with a strange blue light. A light she found soothing. The filly turned her head as she heard the stones again and a brighter yellow glow started to dance across the walls of the cave. The filly took a surprised breath as something lifted her up and places her near a now blazing fire set in to the cave floor.
A sudden movement makes her look towards her waist and she sees a green limp unfold from her body and slither back into a large shadow the fire had not destroyed. The filly tried to see what was there but her eyes just couldn't adjust. Another long green limb came out and dropped a small bowl of what looked like fruit and other vegetables in front of her. The filly eyed the bowl and wondered how she was going to eat as should couldn't even move her head properly and judging how her stomach rumbled she was pretty hungry right now. The filly's eyes widen as a smaller and much more pointed green limb stabbed a fruit and then held it to her mouth. The filly looked at the fruit then to the shadow. The fruit was then tapped on her lips gently before she opened her mouth and the fruit was dropped in.
The green limb went to the bowl and impaled another fruit before repeating the same motions as before, this time the filly didn't hesitate and opened her mouth and waited as the fruit dropped on to her tongue before closing her mouth and chewing. The feeding lasted until the bowl ran dry and the small limb took it away. A hollow looking limb came out of the shadows next and was hovered above her mouth, at first the filly thought it was funny looking until a drip of clear liquid fell from the tip. The filly's eyes went wide as she understood what was happening, the creature had earned her trust through feeding her and now it wanted some lewd act in return. The filly turned her head away.
“I'm not putting that in my mouth, it's gross...” The filly rasps out. “Besides I'm too young for that sort of thing...I'd break...” The filly turns back as a larger limb taps her cheek, the limb points to the floor and the filly notices the words written there.
[It's water]
The filly's eyes widen and she stares at the shadow and the green limb. Her heart starts to race and she could feel her head hurting. The filly watches as the large limb writes something else but her head was hurting too much and before the limb finished writing she passed out again.
The filly awakens to a sound of low shrilling and cooing in her ears. The filly opens her eyes wider and realises she was held in several green limbs. The filly looks up and just sees a writhing mass of limbs. The filly was going to cry out but found she wasn't cold anymore and she felt better being held even if it was some strange creature.
The creature extended out a limb and started to write in the ground.
[Are you OK?]
The filly looks up and smiles. “I am, I'm not cold anymore.”
[That's good. I hate to see a princess get hurt]
The filly's eyes widen as she reads. “You know who I am?”
[Yes, Princess Luna] The creature writes. [I have watched you grow and your sister since you both were born]
“You watch us?” Luna asks.
[Yes, I protect ponies as much as I can in the forest. I regret that some do perish as I can't be everywhere at once]
Luna's ears flatten at the creatures words. “Some ponies die in the forest?”
[More than you think]
Luna starts to sniff but the creature strokes her muzzle. Luna gives the creature a glance before nuzzling it's limb. The creatures limb jerks back as if surprised.
[You aren't afraid of me?]
“Should I be? You saved me from drowning, I think that proves you're not going to hurt me.”
The creature makes a short shrilling sound that makes Luna smile. [I guess you have a point] The creature moves as if standing up and slithers to the cave entrance.
“Where are we going?” Luna asks holding one of the creatures limbs.
The creature extends a limb and writes in the dirt. [The King and Queen must be worried about you, I'm taking you home]
Luna starts to tear up and grips the green limb harder. “Thank you.”
The creature stops and then drags a limb over Luna's muzzle before carrying onwards. Luna notices it doesn't take long to reach the edge of the castle grounds.
“I don't know your name?”
The creature finds a patch of flat earth and writes a reply. [I don't have a name anymore but rest assured you have a friend in me] The creature extends out the limbs holding Luna's small body and places her near the hedge boundary. A limb scribbles in the dirt next to her. [Family is precious Luna, don't lose your sister over petty arguments]
Luna turns and smiles. “I won't my friend. Will I see you again?”
[Yes] The limb replies before retreating back to the writhing mass. The creature shrills once before taking off and leaving Luna to face her parents and sister.
Roseluck looks at the princess with a smile. “So he was a gentlecolt even back then?”
Luna nods. “Yes he was. After that first engagement I met him many times to play or just to talk. The last time I saw him however was a month before I turn into Nightmare Moon.” Luna looks down and sighs. “I always hated what I did and I just hope Qun doesn't think I abandoned him.”
+I never though that Luna+
All the ponies in the room turn to the door and see Qun writhing at the entrance.
“How much did you hear?” Luna asks.
+I arrived at the cave+ Qun's writhing seemed to slow. +I almost forgot about those days, they made me feel alive when I felt dead inside+
The three flower ponies gasped when Luna lunged at Qun and virtually buried herself in his tentacles. Qun returned Luna's affections and Luna sighed before pulling away.
“You still feel the same after all these years my friend.” Luna turns to the girls. “I have a room set up for you that you can use.” Luna gives the ponies a final smile. “Please treat each other well, you've all got a wonderful future ahead.” Luna hugs Qun again before heading for the door. “When you want to leave just ask a guard for room one one three, they will take you there.” Luna gives one last smile before leaving and closing the door behind her.
Roseluck, Daisy and Lily all look to Qun and smile.
“So, big question? Who goes first when we get there?” Lily asks eagerly.
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter. You slither over the roof until you come to the gardens. You get a feeling that Luna was still here but you stop when you spot several Nightguards patrolling. You look over the gardens and see the area near the centre filled with different statues. You knew that's where Luna had to be. You look down to the guards and head down the wall.
Luna sat on the bench staring at the two large statues of her parents. Luna had cried when she first arrived but those tears had long since dried. Luna sighed and went to stand up but something tugged at her mind and she turned. Luna stepped back when she saw Qun wriggling behind her.
“Qun...” Luna started to say but was cut off when Qun wrapped her in his tendrils. Luna struggled for several seconds but gave in and left Qun to hold her. “I'm sorry...” Luna heard Qun shrill in her ear like he was making a high pitched coo. “I shouldn't have said what I said earlier, it was wrong of me.” When Qun didn't respond Luna suddenly realised that the telepath spell had probably worn off. Luna focuses her magic and she finally hears Qun sigh in her mind.
You sigh when you feel Luna's magic enter you and your mind open up. +Thanks Luna. I wondered how long it would be before you noticed.+
Luna giggled. “Sorry, I guess I'm a little stressed right now.”
You smile mentally. +Was that before or after you said you loved me?+ You feel Luna squirm.
“I...I shouldn't have said that...”
+Why?+
“You have marefriends now. “
+Luna.+ You say with a little sadness.
Luna starts to sniff again and fresh tears appear in her eyes. “I shouldn't love you, not after all this time...I shouldn't...”
+Again, why?+
“You were my friend!” Luna shouts. “You showed me the outside more than my family did! I loved you more than you even realised but I was too young to even understand it myself!” You listened as Luna poured her heart out to you and for the first time in a long time you started to cry yourself. “I loved you so much....”
You tightened your hold but couldn't think of anything to say. You jump when you feel something wet press against a tendril and when you look through your limbs you see Luna was giving the nearest tendril a kiss.
Luna breaks the kiss and with a heavy blush she chuckles. “Sorry...I was caught up in the moment.” Luna let out a slight 'eep' when you extended out your tongue and quickly licked her cheek. “Qun...”
You chuckle in your head. +I love you too Luna+ You state causing Luna to look at you with more tears.
“What happens now?” Luna asks.
You grin mentally. +Can you teleport us back to my room?+
Luna stammers. “W-what?”
+Can you do it?+
Luna wipes her eyes . “Of course I can!” Luna charges her horn and in a flash you and Luna were standing outside your guest room.
You released Luna from your tendrils and approached the door. +Coming?+ You ask when you see Luna starting to walk away.
Luna turns back. “What!?” Luna asks in shock.
+Luna, come with me.+ You extend out a tendril and hold it for her to take. Luna lifts up a front hoof and hesitates before placing it on your tendril. You wrap the tendril around her hoof and pull her close. +It's going to be fine, you have nothing to worry about+
“It's not that, I'm a mare. Your marefriends will have last say about me joining your herd.”
You stop. +Come again?+
Luna gives you a confused look. “That's how herds work, I thought you knew this?”
+I didn't+ You reply in a deflated tone.
Luna walks forward. “Maybe we shouldn't do this. You're happy with them aren't you?”
You sigh. +I am. But not if I know you love me Luna, I couldn't do that to you. I wouldn't be happy knowing it was destroying you everytime.+ You sigh. +And to honest with you I..I kind of saw you as a daughter...+ You let Luna's hoof go and slow your wriggling to also no motion. +I found that our afternoons or evenings we had were starting to grow into something more as the years went by. At first when you were a foal I felt like a dad. I felt complete when I helped you with your homework or other tasks you had for me. I know my cave wasn't much of a place but with you there it felt like home.+ You look back to Luna and notice she was crying again but she had a smile on her face. +It was when you came to me as Nightmare Moon did I finally see what was happening. I grew too attached, I couldn't take losing you. That is why I refused her why I refused you...I knew in some way what was going to happen and I didn't want to be there.+ You start to shrill in pain as the emotions flow back through your mind. +I loved you too much to even be there when you were banished. I already suffered a heartbreak knowing I could never go home. I...I didn't what to suffer the second by watching you die...+
Luna sat down as tears flowed from her eyes. Luna stared at the carpet before looking up and knew she couldn't find another stallion like Qun, even if he wasn't really a pony. Luna knew that Qun was the only stallion that had seen every side she had to offer and her smile grew bigger.
(He helped me growing up when he could have shunned me. He thought of me as a daughter when I wasn't even one of his kind.) Luna thought as she watched her centuries old friend cry before her. (I can't turn my back on him now, I have to make this work!)
Luna stood up and took hold of one of Qun's tendrils drawing his attention.
+Luna+ Qun said as he felt her touch and turned to her.
“I think my friend I have three mares to approach.”
+You want to be with me?+
Luna lifts the tendril in her hoof and nuzzles it. “I love you Qun and there's no stallion out there that knows me as good as you do. I want to be with you until the day we both die. Morbid as that may sound I can't express my feelings any other way.” Luna walks passed Qun and opens the guest room door with her magic and tugs on Quns tendril motioning for him to enter.
+You know their probably still sleeping..+ Qun starts to say but gets cut off when he notices the three flower mares all sitting on the bed and giggling. +Shit...+
Luna turns to Qun and smiles before getting the three mares attention. “Excuse me.” Luna says after a little cough. The three flower mares stand up and cross over though Luna notices their heavy limps. Luna gives Qun a glance when he chuckles. Luna looks back to the three mares as they drop in bow. “Please you don't need to bow.” Luna states and waits for the mares to stand up.
“Princess, is everything alright?” Roseluck asks.
“Everything is fine, though I have a request to make.” Luna sits and sighs. “Earlier tonight Qun and I had a conversation about the future.”
“The future? About Qun?” Daisy asks as her ears perk up.
“Actually it involves you three aswell.” Luna waits as the three mares in front of her look at each other. “It seems the love I had for Qun hasn't gone away in the thousand years I was incarcerated in the moon.” Luna looks down and she feels her heartbeat quicken. “Which is why that because you three are the alpha mares in your herd I humbly ask that I could be accepted into it.”
Luna smiles when the three flower ponies all gasp and stand there in shock.
+You damaged them+ Qun says and Luna giggles.
“Y-You want to join our herd? As in become Quns fourth wife?” Roseluck asks breaking out of her shock.
“I would.” Luna bows her head. “I know all of you may seem shocked by my asking but maybe if we spoke more on the matter it would help?”
Roseluck rubs her chin and nods. “I don't see anything wrong with talking more. What do you girls think?” Roseluck asks turning to her fellow herd mates.
Daisy nods. “That would be great!”
“I think it's a great idea too!” Lily adds grinning.
Roseluck steps out the way and allows Luna to enter the room but holds up a hoof to stop Qun.
“Sorry Qun but this is mare talk.”
+Oh, OK. I'll go somewhere else then.+ Qun reaches out a tendril and places it on Roselucks cheek. +Please don't be hard on her, she really wants this.+
Roseluck giggles. “Don't worry, it's going to be fine.”
Qun lets Roseluck go and turns away. Qun gets a little way from the guest room and hears the door close. Qun turns back and smiles before slithering down the corridor.
Celestia lay on a large cushion in her chambers looking over scrolls for the next days routine when the door to her room knocked.
“Hm? I wonder who that could be?” Celestia asks herself rising to her hooves. Celestia opens the door and spots a familiar green mass. “Qun? Is everything OK?”
+Yes thank you.+ Celestia notices the small pause. +Actually, may I speak to you about something?+
“Of course, please come in.” Celestia opens the door wider and moves to the side. Qun enters and takes a place in the centre of the room. “What did you want to talk about?” Celestia asks returning to her place on her large cushion.
+I want to first apologise about how I acted towards you in the past. It was wrong of me to stalk you when you came of age.+
Celestia laughs a little. “Qun, you don't have to apologise. I was a little freaked out when I kept having feelings of something following me but I just thought it was some young colt to scared to ask me out.”
+Still, it was indecent of me. You were young and I took too much interest in your...butt back then.+
“So? You have something for plots do you?” Celestia smirks.
+A little...+ Celestia was certain Qun turned a little red bodied. +But to my original reason for being here.+
“Ah yes, please go ahead.”
+Luna wants to join my herd+
Celestia pauses but this news was not surprising to hear. “And you feel conflicted about this?”
+No, I mean, I'm not sure. I love Luna a lot but as a lover I am worried.+
“Worried?” Celestia questions raising an eyebrow.
+Yes. I'm worried I may hurt her.+
“Oh, I see...” Celestia stands up and walks to the large doors leading out to her balcony. “You're not just talking about sex though are you?”
+No I'm not.+ Qun slithers up and joins Celestia. +The past I have with Luna is one of father and daughter, I don't know if I could love her like the others but...+
“You know In your heart that even back then she meant more to you than just a daughter.” Celestia states turning to look at Qun.

Celestia sighs. “You are one strange creature Qun. You have the love of four beautiful mares and all you can think of is the past.” Celestia extends out a wing and touches one of Quns tendrils. “Let go of the past just as I must. I sent Luna to the moon at the time as it was the best choice but everyday I wonder was it the only one? You have the choice to give my sister the family and love she deserves. It doesn't matter if you're like you are, perhaps one day we can change you back. All I know is that Luna wants to be with you and to her that is all that matters. You are her world now Qun, go spend it with her no matter how long that is.”
Qun pauses and to Celestia it seemed he was staring out the window. +Would you call me brother if we married?+
It was now Celestias turn to pause as she thought about her answer. “I will be honest. At first I think it will be strange to call you brother but I think I'll get used to it.” Celestia smirks.
Qun chuckles. +You're much different than I remember Celestia. You're so sassy now.+
Celestia turns away from Qun and strikes a pose. “I try.”
Celestia shares a laugh with Qun that lasts for some minutes.
“I needed that Qun, thank you.”
+No problem Celestia. I wonder, were do your guard train?+
Celestia raises an eyebrow. “Why?”
+You want to see something cool?+
Celestia smiles. “Oh very much.”
Luna sits in a chair and watches as three of her subjects pace about in front of her. Luna felt strange, for the first time she felt scared. Luna eyes widened slightly as she realised what it was that frightened her. She was scared of getting rejected and it made her heart beat faster.
Luna sits still when the three mares all huddle. For a couple of hours Luna had talked about Qun and her in the past. Luna also told about the feelings she had for him and felt a little awkward recounting the times she felt 'hot' when near him.
Luna flinched when the mares broke their group hug.
“Luna, we have considered your request and listened to you as you talked about your past with Qun.” Roseluck says with a serious expression. “Through much deliberation we have decided to give you one final test!”
Luna swallowed. One final test? What could they mean! Luna found her doubts squashed when the three mares lunged at her and they all shared a three way kiss. Luna found her nethers grew very hot.
“I take it the answer is yes?” Luna asks when the kiss breaks.
“Yes.” Roseluck replies.
“Yes.” Lily and Daisy add together.
Luna sighs as tears come to her eyes. “Thank you, you don't know how much this means to me.”
“Oh we know. More than you think.” Lily says.
“I think we should tell Qun.” Daisy states. “He'll be so happy.”
Luna nods. “I will try to cont-” Luna gets cut off when a rumble sounds across the castle. “What in Equestria was that?”
The four mares move to the door when they hear hooves running down the corridor outside. Luna opens the door to see the few guards stationed in this section of the castle running down the corridor.
“Guard?” Luna asks stopping one of the royal guards as he passes.
“Princess!” The guard says bowing.
“What's going on? Is Canterlot under attack?” Luna asks in worry.
The guards eyes widen. “N-no your highness! Princess Celestia is going to fight the green creature.”
“Qun?” Luna asks in panic. “My sister is going to fight my herd mate!?” Luna pushes open the door and quickly runs pass the guard.
Roseluck, Daisy and Lily walk out the door seconds later.
“S-Should we follow?” Lily asks the others.
Roseluck nods and turns to the guard still standing there in surprise. “Excuse me would you mind taking us with you?”
The guard shakes his surprise off. “Of course follow me!”
The three Flower ponies run behind the guard thinking what has Qun done now!
