The Other Side of the Sun
With a fast gallop, Twilight Sparkle hurried to the castle. Anyone watching barely saw her hooves touching the ground. When she climbed stairs, she took two at once. She just arrived with the train in Canterlot, but she didn't waste any time. Something happened to Princess Celestia. Something big and dangerous. Something really nasty and awful. Something that's so horrifying, it's not even clear what it is. Who knows in what kind of peril she was in?
No, really, Twilight had no idea. A day before, she received a letter from Princess Luna that Celestia was behaving strangely and requested her assistance to find out why and how to “make her normal” again. At first, Twilight thought that it might be cake deprivation. The unicorn still had nightmares of the last time, Celestia went two weeks without cake. And that was seven years ago.
But surely, Luna knew how... grumpy Celestia could be without cake and wouldn't ask for her. Instead she would just stuff her with pastries and be done with it. No, it had to be something else.
When Twilight arrived at the castle, a maid was waiting in front of the gates. It was strange how easy it was to identify her as one. Well, not strange in itself, since she wore a black Prance-style maid dress, that contrasted nicely with her light gray coat, complete with headdress, that didn't contrast so well with her dark gray mane. But overall, it matched her monotonous appearance.
The strange thing was that the maids of the castle didn't wore such a uniform.
“Good day, Twilight Sparkle,” she greeted her, apparently in a very good mood.
“Is the princess alright?” Twilight just blurted out, without responding the greeting.
The maid just giggled. “Oh, she is more than alright. I'd say, she's never been better...” There was a faint blush on her cheeks as she said it.
Well, that didn't sound so bad and she sure looked like she was sincere. But something was off. And Twilight's intuition said that there was a connection between the maid's behavior, her unusual dress and the princess.
“So... she isn't any different now?” The unicorn asked carefully.
“Oh, she is very different. For one, she is... much closer to her servants now. And she shows us skills, we didn't know she had, if you get what I mean.” The maid giggled again.
“I... No, I don't know what you mean.”
“Well, she is very good with her hooves and tongue. And also her horn. Among other things.”
“Yes, she is quite athletic, charismatic and possesses powerful magic. I'm not sure how any of this is news to you.”
The maid looked at her in disbelief. “No, that's not what I'm talking about. I mean that she is good at using them on other ponies.”
Twilight thought about it for a while. “I know that you are trying to insinuate something but I really don't understand what.”
Yet again, she got a strange look by the maid, now even more disbelieving. She opened her mouth to say something, only to close it again, apparently resigning. “Oh well, you'll learn soon enough. We wasted too much time anyway, I have orders to take you directly to Princess Luna.”
With that, she opened the gates and stepped inside. All the way, Twilight thought about what the maid was trying to say. It was embarrassing, she was Celestia's most prized pupil and one of the smartest ponies in Equestria, but she couldn't figure it out. Thankfully, “all the way” wasn't much, since Luna awaited her in the entrance hall.
“Twilight Sparkle, thank goodness you are here!” The princess said, with a louder voice than necessary.
“Princess Luna, it's great to see you, but... what happened to you?”
She certainly made a less sublime impression than usual, with her disheveled mane and bags under her eyes. It seemed that she hadn't slept since days, although she seemed pretty energetic otherwise.
“My shameful sister, that's what happened to me,” Luna replied, somewhat exasperated.
“S-shameful?” Of all the words, Twilight could think that they describe Princess Celestia, shameful was not even close to one of them. Exalted, powerful, benevolent, intelligent, perfect, drop-dead gorgeous, all that described her perfectly. But shameful?
“Yes, shameful. As I wrote to you, Celestia is behaving strangely. In a shameful way. Why, her behavior is even more shameful than the one the Manehattan Times once accused me of, that I would waste my precious time playing trivial games. Have you ever heard of such nonsense?”
“Um... no?” Although the sudden bankruptcy of its publishing company made a lot more sense now.
“Alas, it is not so bad when a lesser pony spends their time with such things, although it is still a waste of time. But Celestia's recent behavior would be shameful for everypony. That's how shameful it is!”
Of course, it would be nice to know why it's so “shameful” in the first place. First the maid, now Princess Luna. Why aren't they just saying what it is? Or does she expect her to figure it out for herself? Was it a test? And what would happen if she failed it? The unicorn felt fear welling up inside her. Thinking about the last times she made herself worry like that, she tried to calm herself down. As if she actually took her lessons to heart, it even worked. Although that might just be because she wasn't a student of Princess Luna, who therefore had no reason to test her. Nothing is more soothing than logic.
“Follow me, Twilight Sparkle, I will take you to her. I just hope that you are able to help us in this crisis.”
Frustrated by her inability to understand what exactly is going on, she followed the princess obediently, hoping that she would finally get answers soon.
They stopped in front of Celestia's bedroom, guarded by a stallion with a yellow coat and blue mane. Having no reason to assume that he would ever be of any importance in her life, Twilight didn't take much note of him.
As they stood there, a question arose in Twilight, that she soon uttered: “So, why aren't we going inside?”
“You see, Twilight Sparkle...” Luna was strangely hesitant now. “There is something you need to know about my sister. Her behavior is so... shameful, it is difficult to talk clearly about it, but it has to be done. You see, she is...,” she seems to be focused on the door, as if she tried to gaze directly at Celestia through it, “treating other ponies inappropriately.”
That... wasn't any clearer at all.
“Oh, my sister,” Luna continued. “She was like a mother to her subjects. Now, she is...”
The guard interrupted her. “Their who-”
“Silence!” the princess shouted at him, making him cower in fear. “Don't dare to speak such filthy things about my sister, your princess!” Lowering her voice again, she turned back to Twilight. “Alas, he is right.”
“I still don't know what's going on,” Twilight said, the frustration getting more and more to her.
“Then see for yourself, Twilight Sparkle.” Luna's horn glowed, along with the doorknob. “But steel your mind. What you will see in there will surely be a shock to you. The mere sight might be too much for weaker ponies.”
With that, she opened the door. Twilight, curious what the problem with Celestia was, didn't hesitate before she stepped inside.
Well, Princess Luna certainly didn't exaggerate. The sight was really a shock.
Several mares were lying on the floor, some with the same dress like the maid earlier. All of them were partly covered with a white fluid, all of them had it coming out of their vaginas, some even out of other orifices. Many of them had an expression that could be described as total bliss. Some, that were still conscious, were looking at Twilight as she came in, while others stared at the figure on the bed.
That figure was none other than Princess Celestia, although there was something very different about her. She looked exactly like her, beautiful white coat, even more beautiful colorful, flowing mane, gorgeous mature figure, all these things that Twilight was thinking of, every time she needed to sweeten a night. Yet, at the same time, she was also totally different. She had a sultry expression that the unicorn never imagined she could have. Also, there was penis, white and gray-speckled, between her legs, that Twilight was pretty sure she didn't have before. At least, it would have been strange if she missed it in all those years. Out of that penis, a white fluid was running. Probably semen. And it's very likely, that it was also the fluid on and in the mares' bodies.
Everything made sense now. Twilight was rather inexperienced and often didn't understand sexual innuendo. That's why the things the maid said flew over her head. But in hindsight, it made a lot of sense. Also, Princess Luna's laments of Princess Celestia's “shameful” behavior, aside from showing a need for a thesaurus, made a lot of sense. Indeed, if the things, the scene in front of her implied, were true, Twilight agreed that it was inappropriate for a princess.
“Hello Twilight,” Celestia greeted her in a voice that, if the unicorn didn't know better (and she didn't), she would describe as 'erotic'. “It's great that you are here. I was trying out some... new fun things on my dear maids here and thought that you should take part in it too.” She giggled in a very odd way. “After all, who would be more deserving than my trusted sexy student?”
The purple unicorn felt an urge since she entered the room. It got stronger the more she looked around and became nearly irresistible when the princess spoke to her like that. Truly, she felt that it was time to follow that urge.
So, she toppled aside, falling on the ground and letting go of her consciousness, that was more unwelcome than anything right now.
