Hope's Peak Academy
A school that brings in the top students of a variety of fields, placed right in the center of Canterlot. There is only two requirements to attend this school: You must be in high school already and you must be the very best at what you do. To be accepted into the school, is to be scouted out by the academy personally. I think now is a good time to introduce myself.
"Hello. My Name's Anonymous."
As you can tell, I am your average, generic, boring high school student. I don't have any specific talents, and my personality is extremely bland. My favorite song? Movie? Most likely what ever is at the top of the charts. But I was still chosen to come to this school. Every year, the school draws from a random bucket of names from different Equestrian Schools. It's like some sort of lottery for the inferior. The person picked will be accepted into the school as the "Super Duper High School Luckster", and my name was drawn. 'Whoopty Fucking Doo' I think to myself, not really caring either way. I will be in the presence of people far superior than I will ever become.
"Speaking of which..."
You fumble your pockets trying to pull out a scrap of paper. "I went ahead and did some research on my future classmates." There was a thread made on a popular imageboard that listed most of the new students attending Hope's Peak:
The "Super Duper High School Aerialist."
The "Super Duper High School Magician."
Oh! And the "Super Duper High School Guard" was mentioned also, but not as highly as the others.
"All I have to do is step inside these doors, and my new life at the academy will start." You straighten your tie and proceed to casually walk towards the entrance. Gotta make the impression that you're cool. Girls may be watching. As you step into the school, nothing unusual strikes your eyes. It seems like your normal private school. Suddenly, your vision begins to wavers, as the walls begin to twist and turn around you. You feel dizzy for some reason. "What...the...fuck...?" All you remember is collapsing on the ground.
It is time for your new life to start. At Hope's Peak Academy.
Unknown Time
I wake up slumped over a desk.
"Jeez, what happened?". You start to get your bearings as you slowly rise from your slumber.
"I'm in a...classroom? Oh Shit! Did I fall asleep in class!? On my first day too!" You feel a jolt of energy unmatched by anything you've ever felt before. As you run through the halls you can't help but notice many stairwells are blocked off. Not knowing where exactly you are supposed to go, you start to slow down. Looking at the school now, It seems very different than it did earlier today. Windows are covered with bolted steel plates. Doors to some rooms are locked or covered.
"This is like those horror movies where unexplained shit happens all the time. Wait..." You hear something...voices!
"Maybe that's where I'm supposed to go." You proceed to sprint to where the voices are coming from. You take a second and think about whether or not you are going crazy. You'll decide you perfectly sane for now. "Hopefully I'm not late to the next class."
As You open the door, you are greeted by a variety of faces. These must be the Super Duper High Schoolers. The students who far surpass you in terms of importance. Your attention is called for suddenly.
"You're late," someone says sternly at you. You gaze in awe as the different faces judge you with their eyes and whispers. They act like they never seen a human before. The blue mare wearing wizards garb yells at you again.
"Hey! Did you hear me? You late!"
"Late for what," you ask the mare, along with the other fourteen students here. Everyone starts talking amongst themselves. "He doesn't know," asked one pony. "He probably just woke up," answered another. "We all fell asleep when we entered, right," asks a stallion.
"What is everyone talking about here?!"
As you ask more questions, a purple Alicorn starts trotting towards me. Wait what. You do a double take towards this mare. Is that Princess Twilight Sparkle? What's a princess doing here?!

"Good, it seems everyone is gathered then. There something very important I need to talk to you all about," Twilight says in a matter-of-fact way. You look at her with visible curiosity. She's pretty much speaking gibberish at this point to you.
"Before I go into specifics, let's all introduce ourselves to each other."
If what she wants to say is very important, then who gives a shit about informal introductions? You decide you should get this over with as quickly as possible...
You go up to a rustic looking earth pony with a cowboy hat.
"Howdy 'ere Mister. My name's Applejack, but you can call me AJ."

Super Duper High School Farmer
Yeah. You recognize this name from the thread with the students. She's the Super Duper High School Farmer that is skilled in...farming. Wow, that's pretty lame actually. If she were in a game, she'd probably be a supporting character. You introduce yourself.
"I'm Anonymous."
"Pleased to meet ya," Applejack says with a smile that doesn't look fake nor genuine. She lets you go right after this simple introduction. She probably wants this to be done as fast as you do
You approach a regal looking unicorn with a glorious purple mane. She looks quite beautiful, but her looks remind you a bit of the girls you used to meet at public schools.
"Hello darling. What might your name be?"

Super Duper High School Tailor
"I-I'm Anonym-mous," you say as you trip over yourself just looking at her. She is obviously out of your league and you try to not spill spaghetti everywhere.
"Well, I'm Rarity, the finest dress maker in all of Ponyville! I'd be happy to lend you some assistance with your...uh...suit, if you ever need any." Did she just insult your fashion sense? Or lack there of. Anyway, she seems confident in her abilities. You wonder if you she'd really be willing to fix your suit up later...You shouldn't be thinking about this now! You have to meet more ponies!
You make your way to a small filly with a red mane. Why is a kid in a high school, let alone a prestigious academy for the gifted...and you?
"Hello, my name is Anonymous."
"Hey 'ere. My name's Apple Bloom," she says with a country accent similar to the first pony you met.

"What's your talent supposed to be?"
"I'm a Cutie Mark Crusader," she exclaims with a loud voice.
Never heard of them. But she mentioned Crusaders? These are truly dark times indeed
"I was told that my bravery and strong will grants me the title of..." Apple Bloom takes a deep breath...
"SUPER DUPER HIGH SCHOOL ADVENTURER!"
FUCK! She almost blew out your eardrum! The enclosed space of this room somehow makes her louder than what would seem possible! You start rubbing your ear to try and ease the pain. You won't question why Hope's Peak let a filly into the Academy as a student. "What were they thinking," you mutter under your breath once you've made some distance. Time to meet yet another character. You make your way to your next target

You decide to give that wizard mare a piece of your mind for scolding you earlier. "'Ay," you say suddenly from behind her.
"What is it," obviously annoyed by your presence.

"Why were you yelling at me earlier," you ask with a clearly annoyed tone.
"The Great and Powerful Trixie was told to wait until the last student arrived. YOU kept me waiting," Trixie lashes out and yells at you again.
"AHHHHHHH!"
What's wrong with the chick...mare? Superiority Complex much. You don't say that out loud, since she can obviously kick your ass. You'll just...tell her your name later. You walk towards someone else as she smirks at you and checks her dumb wizards hat. You won't let this be the last time you talk to her.
You make your way towards a mare with a bacon-like mane. Still a bit shaken by your previous encounter. Hopefully this will go better.
"Why hello there. My name is Sunset Shimmer," She says happily.

"You're the Super Duper High School Musician, right," you ask with a curious look on your face.
"Don't take that at face value. I play in a band and wear clothes that match the part. But I am so much more than some mare that plays guitar and writes songs," she says in a very long winded explanation.
"Okay then..." You say a bit awkwardly. That sounded like an odd characterization dump. You'll write it of for now.
"My name's Anonymous. I hope we'll get along."
"Likewise."
You notice what seems to be a blue Pegasus flying around the room...
Wait a minute...Oh Shit! She coming right for you! You try to duck, but the damage is done.
"Oww..." Whoever hit you had a lot of force behind them.
"Hey! Watch where you're standing!"

"You could have hurt me," she says angrily.
"YOU crashed into ME," you rebuttal.
"Details, details," she says in a "I don't care" sort of tone. Details my ass. Who does she think she is?
"The name's Anonymous, and I hope you'll treat me with some respect."
She smirks and sticks her tongue out at you before going back to flying. You walk away before punching her out of collective anger. Some of these ponies are really full of themselves.
As you walk around, you notice a mare with peculiar glasses. They look pretty sick though. "Hello, my name's Anonymous."
"Hey man, wazzup."
Name: Vinyl Scratch

"Hmm, two musicians," you say with a curious look on your face.
"Huh?" Vinyl seems confused by your sudden remark.
"Oh trust me, it's nothing. Just a crime against creativity," you say with a disappointed look on your face. Vinyl still seems confused
"I'm still not following..."
"Well, see ya Vinyl," you say as you walk away from this very confused horse.
"Wait, what?"
You walk away. Vinyl still perplexed by what you just said. You decide you talked enough and go to the next pony.
You spy a shy and helpless looking female Pegasus in the corner of the room.
Perfect!
You make your way over there to put your moves on her. "Why hello there madam. My name is Anonymous. Pleased to meet you." You sound like the biggest jackass ever. Visibly frightened, she cowers in fear, trying to hide herself under her wings. "Oh..um...what's your name," you ask with a more normal tone of voice.
"My n-name is...utter..hy..." She squeaks like a single mouse getting cornered by a whole litter.
You think you can piece this puzzle together.

"Well Fluttershy, if I'm ever in need of assistance, I will DEFINITELY call for you."
That seemed to make her more scared. I guess she doesn't like to be relied on. You decide it's best to leave before you cause her to have a panic attack. Smooth Anon. You need to work on your lady killer skills. Time to slick your way to the next character.
The next person you meet eyes with...gave you a very bad feeling. "Um...Hello? My name's Anonymous."
"Why hello there. My name is Flash Sentry. How are you feeling?"

"What do you think? I woke up and now I'm surrounded by strangers," you say with a slightly annoyed tone. This guy should've already known the answer. We're all probably feeling the same.
"Well, it isn't all bad," he says in a tone that you can't distinguish whether or not it's sarcasm. "I mean, as long as we stick together, we'll be safe, right?"
This guy is saying some cryptic shit. "Please explain."
"There's nothing TO explain, it's just common sense," Flash says as he laughs. This guy is starting to freak you out a bit, like he's trying to stay upbeat but continues to talk like we have something to be afraid of.
"But if worse comes to worse, I promise to protect you all," Flash says with an abundance of determination in his eyes. Nope! Not getting into this shit! You make a run for it before he presents you with a nice glass of Kool-aid.
You make your way towards the only non-pony (Besides you) in the whole room. Some kind of small reptilian creature that doesn't look threatening at all.
"Hi there! I'm Spike the Dragon," the reptile says with a smile. You introduce yourself as well. "Hey, I'm Anonymous."

"Wow, and here I though my 'talent' was condescending and meaningless," You say covering your mouth so you can laugh.
"What do you mean? My ability to follow directions and help people is a very useful skill." You both stay quiet for a couple seconds, just to let what he said sink in. "Man, I feel bad for you," still laughing. "Well don't, because I promise you, as long as you give me time, I'll prove myself useful," he says with a determined tone. He's trying really hard to be noticed it seems. You laugh under your breath as you walk away. At least you know who isn't a threat to you at all here.
As you walk towards a pony you haven't met yet with a yellow mane. You are suddenly pinned onto the ground by an unknown force. Well, it's not unknown. Someone just tackled you to the ground. Oh no, you knew this day would come eventually. You recover and see a pink mare brimming with excitement. Or...something like that.
"HeytherewhoareyouIhaven'tmetyoubeforeanddon'tsayIhavebecauseITOTALLYwouldv'erememberedifIhaveandI'vemeteveryoneinthisroomaswellasallofPonyvilleandthereisnowayIwould'veforgotenafacelikeyourinamillionyearsIt'sjsutsoweirdhasanyoneevertoldyouyoulooklikethosemonkeysyoufindinthejunglesandatzoos?" She takes a big deep breath.
You make a mental note: 'This is a force to be reckoned with'.

"Are you okay?" You haven't been in Equestria for that long, but you assumed drugs were either not a thing, or illegal.
"Sure thing silly. Why wouldn't I be?"
You assumed this lack of direction got to her more quickly than the others. "I-I think I'll be going now," you try to say clearly, but this mare seems too...crazy. "But WHHHHYYY. We only JUST MET," Pinkie exclaims while bouncing around you. "Yea-Yeah, my name's Anonymous." You don't know how to deal with this situation, so you try to play along until you think she's satisfied.
You try to slip away without her noticing. She does, but allows you to carry on your introductions. These ponies are really starting to get to you. How will you survive being their classmate for the next few years?
After meeting Pinkie for the first time, you need a refresher. Luckily there seems to be a a mare with flowers near the left side of the room. Flowers will help calm your heart after all these surprisingly stressful introductions. You approach the mare with the eyes of a man who's had a long day.
"Hey there. My name is Roseluck, Rose for short."

"I need at least 5 tulips," you say assertively and out of breath. Rose looks at you with confusion. "It's been a long day..." you plead. You heard that fresh flowers help clear the mind, and you take anything at this point.
"Ahh, I get it. No problem," Rose nods. She takes a couple flowers out of her bag and gives them to you. "Thank you..." You sniff them with all your might. You feel much better now, like your head is cleared of all the things you had to go through the last hour and a half.
"My name is Anonymous, by the way. Anon for short.'
"Thank you, I'll try to remember that Anon."
You slump your way towards the last pony. You just want to get these introductions over with now.
Fina-Fucking-lly. One last pony to be introduced to you. I hope they're normal and don't make you question your morals and ethics. The last pony you meet is a gray mare with something in her eyes. At a second glace, maybe it's just her eyes. You've never been one to laugh at the disabled, but it does look quite humorous.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Anonymous. My name is Derpy," the gray mare says happily. What cruel, cruel parents would give their child such a name?

"My job as a mail courier helps me with my navigation techniques and understanding of others."
That first one made sense, but not so much the second one. Also, doesn't she seem pretty capable for someone that looks like they belong on the short bus? Maybe you're being insensitive, but you can't help but wonder about her appearance. You don't bring up that question, since you don't want to offend her.
"Nice to meet you too...uh...Miss Derpy."
"I hope we get along well, Anon. See you later."
That was surprisingly quick and normal. Now that you're done with the introductions, you head back over to twilight. Maybe now you can learn of what happened while you were asleep.
"Okay, now that we have our general introductions done, we can move onto what's really important," Twilight says happily. "If this was *really* important, then why did we have to wait and introduce ourselves," Trixie asks, clearly showing offense. She's probably still annoyed. Or maybe she's just a bitch.
"Well, it would be hard to communicate without knowing each others names," says Derpy with an uncertain look on her face.
Trixie lashes out again...
"Nobody asked you!"
"I-I'm sorry," Derpy says in response to the sudden outburst. "Well, what is it you need to tell us Princess," I ask. "Just call me Twilight. And what I'm trying to say, is we should find whoever is in charge here."
"So we can find answers about this peculiar school," Rose says with look of realization.
"Well, lets go search around for some kind of main office then," you say to your fellow students. Everyone parts into several search groups in order to look for someplace an administrator would be. Everyone goes in groups of two. Making you the odd man out. It's just like grade school all over again.
Most of your search has been fruitless. Almost every door you try to open is either locked from the inside, or blocked by a sheet of metal. You manage to find a clock during you search.
"Hmm, so it's 11:30 AM..."
Daytime
At least now you have a sense of time. Everything is pretty much as it was when you woke up. That door's locked...that window's covered...that screaming voice in the distance...
"Huh?"
"Come...Everyone," yells the faint voice from some distance away.
"Wait, is someone calling for us," you ask yourself. You can barely make out what the person is yelling, but you assume they're trying to get everyone to their position. You should try and get there as fast as possible. They might be in danger or something.
You go towards the voice calling for everyone. By the time you get to the source, you are completely out of breath. "Holy shit, I need to do more cardio." As you regain your composure, you look up at the source of the noise. It seems to be coming from behind a set of double doors with a sign above it reading "Gymnasium/Auditorium".
"Really? A prestigious school needs to have there Gym double as an Auditorium?"
These are tax payers dollars going into this school! More important than that, the other groups come to you all of a sudden. Most of them seem very out of breath. The only people not in your party right now are Twilight and Spike. You assume they're the ones behind the double doors.
"What did ya'll find," asks Applebloom. "I didn't find anything suspicious. Just more blocked off doors and windows," you answer. Everyone else tells of their searches that led to nothing special as if we were sitting around a campfire telling stories of past blunders.
"Same 'ere. We came running as soon as we heard yelling," claims AJ. "*Huff* Yeah, nothing really suspicious here. Other than the *Wheeze* the doors thing," Vinyl says, clearly out of breath from the running.
"So all of this was a waste of time," Sunset asks with a slightly annoyed look. AJ answers Sunset with a refreshingly optimistic answer.
"Not completely. I mean, why are we here? Someone found somethin'."
"Then let's just go inside all ready. It's rude making people wait," Rarity says, trotting towards the double doors. Trixie glares at you. Is she STILL hung up on that?!
"We can explore this odd school later. With hopefully more enlightening results," says Rarity reassuringly.
"Fine. Let's get this over with..." When you place your hands on the door handles, you can't help but feel nervous about what is to come. As if some sort of other worldly force is trying to keep you from seeing the malicious truth that lies behind the set of doors. You decide to stop being a pussy and open the damn doors. As you open the double doors, your suspicious were correct... You see Twilight and Spike...along with someone, or someTHING else. It's presence alone was absolutely terrifying...
"Upupupupupupupupupupupupupupupupu!"
"AHHHHH!" What the actual fuck is that!? The unknown person seems to be some stuffed teddy bear you'd find at a children's store. It's design was very...unique. Half white, half black, cut right down the middle. With a red eye that makes this thing look slightly more intimidating.
"Ugh, FINALLY! The whole gang of misfits have arrived," the monochrome teddy bear exclaims. You are thrown off by this things odd tone of voice. It's high, and slightly scratchy, like a children's toy with a cheap voice box. Guessing by the voice, this toy is supposed to be some kind of male bear, but it's a bit hard to tell. Everyone seems to be as surprised by this thing though. Something this weird would get a couple unsure stares.
"Wha-what is this thing," Flash asks, taken aback by this thing.
"It looks like a teddy bear..." Sunset answers with an unsure look on her face.
"OOOOH, it's SOOO CUTE," Pinkie Pie exclaims. Even in a wide open space like this, she still gives you a headache.
"HEY! I'm not some cheap ass toy! I'm Monokuma, and am happy to meet you all."
"AHHH! I-I-It c-can talk!?" Fluttershy seems very close to passing out at this point.
"This has to be some kind of prank. Hey, what are you," I assertively ask our unknown 'Friend'.
"Didn't I just say? I'm Monokuma! The Headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy!" This statement causes a great amount of confusion for all of us. How can a stuffed toy be the Headmaster of Hope's Peak Academy? It is then you notice, Twilight and Spike haven't said a word. Silently watching this thing go on a rant about his job here to the other students.
"You guys came here before us. What is this thing supposed to be."
"He's been saying the same stuff to us. About being our teacher and Headmaster," Spike answers cautiously. Twilight confirms this, saying he wouldn't indulge anymore information to them before everyone else arrived.
"Well then, now that I've made my Gloooooorious introduction. Now's the time to explain some things to you. For starters, you all TRAPPED here! Forever and ever and ever..."
What!? What does he mean by "Trapped"!? And that we are here forever. Everyone is also taken aback by this. The way he said it so causally. Statements and questions start flying from every direction.
"What do you mean?"
"That's a lie!"
"W-we're trapped in the school."
"Thaaaaat's RIGHT! You will be spending the rest of your miserable days in this pitiful school," Monokuma says with more gusto than anyone of us would've wanted.
"Thi-This is..." Flash's hooves start shaking violently. I don't know how much more this guy can take. Pathetic. He calls himself the Super Duper High School Guard, but when something so clearly evil is here, he's shaking in his boots with his tail between his legs.
"That is preposterous! There is no way-" Rarity tries to rebuttal.
"Quiet Miss Pretty in Pink. I ain't done 'splainin' it all yet."
"What? There's more," I ask, stunned by every word this thing as said since making his appearance.
"Of course, Nonny. There is one way to get out of the school...*Clears Throat* The only way to get out of this hell hole of a school is to graduate!"
"That sounds easy. Just pay attention and get good scores," Twilight says, nodding to herself.
"Sorry Purple Smart. That ain't gonna cut it at this school. You see...the way someone graduates at Hope's Peak Academy..."
"Is to commit murder!"
And just with those four words...the gym turned into a den of despair.
"Wha-wha-wha-WHAT!"
"This is..."
"I won't believe! I won't believe this nonsense!"
"I just want to go home now!"
"This is really dumb! Why would we murder each other?!"
"Upupupupu! You should see the look on your faces! Such Despair!" Everyone is eyeing Monokuma with all their malice, which seems to get to him. "Hold your horses, or hold yourselves should I say. There are a number of rules I am obligated to read. So you better listen!"
The students will live a communal lifestyle with no time limit inside the school walls.
The time between 10pm and 7am is called “Night Time”. During Night Time there are places that are forbidden to enter, so please take care.
Sleeping is only permitted in the personal rooms prepared for you in the dormitory area. Anyone intentionally falling asleep elsewhere will be punished.
You may investigate the school as you please. There are no special restrictions on your actions.
No violence is permitted against the school’s headmaster, Monokuma. Destruction of the surveillance cameras is forbidden.
A “culprit” who kills a fellow student will graduate the school. However, they must not let any other student know they are the culprit.
Additional rules may be added by the school at any time.
"Oh! And here's you Student Handbook," Monokuma gives you all something that resembles a knock-off IPad. It has all your information, the rules, a map of the school, as well as general info on your fellow classmates. Or at this point, classmates should really be "Prisoners".
"This is all so...surreal..." Rarity remarks.
"We're trapped here," Spike says sullenly.
"And we have to kill someone else," Derpy says with tears forming in her eyes.
"That doesn't sound like fun..." Pinkie sadly says
Everyone has a dark look on their faces. As if they've all given up already. Defeated in one fell swoop. Suddenly you hear someone shouting
"Like hell if I'm gonna believe what this thing says!" Rainbow's been flying above our heads the whole time. Probably because she's the Super Duper High School Aerialist and prefers to fly in the air then stand on the ground. She swoops down and grabs Monokuma violently by the legs with her teeth. Does she plan to destroy him!?
"You really shouldn't have done that girly...remember the rules?"
You here a slight beeping. The beeping continues to get louder and louder as the seconds go by, until..."Toss the darn toy already!" Applejack yells at the top of her lungs in order to get Rainbow's attention. Rainbow reluctantly tosses Monokuma farther into the air. Seconds later
*BOOOOOOM*
"Jesus Christ! That toy had a bomb in him," you say in a state of shock.
"What'd I say!? I'm not a toy!"
"AHHHHHHH," you scream like a little girl as Monokuma appears behind your leg.
"You're still alive," Trixie asks, perplexed by his sudden appearance.
"Of course I am. I'm the one and only Monokuma! Or more accurately, The one out of one BILLION Monokumas."
"There are more of you," Pinkie curiously asks.
"As the teacher, I have to keep a close eye on my students. So, I have Monokumas placed AALLLL around the school for your convenience."
"In case of a Monokuma Emergency," Pinkie asks with a smile stretched across her face.
"No, Sugar Rush. So I can talk to all my Wonderful students. I'll let you off with a warning, but try that again, and you won't be able to do no more flying' tricks by the time I'm done with you." Monokuma snickers and goes on to a full on maniacal laugh. Oh to hell with this. This is a dream. It has to be.
We were finally able to cut the cruel, tense atmosphere...When she spoke.
"Excuse me, Mr. Kuma. I have a question."
"What is it Purple Smart?" Monokuma seems annoyed by Twilight interrupting his laughter.
"It's Twilight, and I have a question about the rules. It says 'A “culprit” who kills a fellow student will graduate the school. However, they must not let any other student know they are the culprit.' But what exactly does this mean?" Monokuma answers as if he's been waiting for this question forever.
"Well, finally a question worth answering. After a body has been discovered, everyone that ISN'T dead will be given a short time to investigate the crime."
"And then," we ask.
"We'll hold a Class Trial," Monokuma says with glee. "We'll put the Villain against the Good Guys! You will discuss the case until you think you've found the killer. If you vote for the right person, then I'll punish the Villain in the name of justice!"
"Hold on, what do you mean by 'Punish'," Vinyl inquires. A single word comes out of Monokuma's mouth.
"Execution."

"What happens if we pick the wrong person," I question Monokuma. Monokuma smirks
"I'll Punish everyone BESIDES the Killer! And the Killer will Graduate from Hope's Peak Academy!"
This is some heavy shit Doc...why would something so adorable be so malicious? What did any of us do to deserve this treatment!
"Don't worry, *Most* of you seem smart enough to figure the simple stuff out. Emphasis on the 'Most' part. And I just want to add this statement so that there is no confusion, I don't care how you kill someone. I just care if they die! You can: Stab them to death! Beat them bloody and senseless! The room became very quiet again. Everyone is caught in Monokuma's words. In order to escape, we must kill and get away from it...You know what everyone is thinking...

Monokuma breaks the tense moment of silence. "Well, time for you all to get going! Sayonara bitches." Monokuma falls backwards and disappears into the floor boards. You knew you were gonna have a bad time the second you came to this school. Maybe instead of the "Super Duper High School Luckster", you should be the "Super Duper High School UNLuckster"
