Load Full StoryNext Chapter"Everybody settle down!" the prince shouted as he made his way across the room.
"What are we going to Prince Shining? We are lost with out the princess' and your judgement!" said one of the guards. The room was filled with chaos as all the mares and stallions complained, argued and fumbled in the stands.
"We make use of the evidence and witnesses, but most importantly we stay together as one empire, the proud, polite and respectable Crystal Empire!" Shining shouted across the whole room making it eerily quiet. "Good, it's nice to see ponies cooperating" he said obviously impressed that a crowd so rowdy and a topic so frightening could be calmed down and talked about civily, he liked it that way, he liked it when he was in control."The accused will enter the room now!" he said, and as if on timing the doors slammed open with fifty royal guards and the accused standing in the doorway.
A puff of pink smoke immediately appeared next to the prince. The puff of smoke revealed a very cross Princess Cadence. "Greetings my subjects, husband and accused!" she shouted as she identified everyone in the room. "yup, all my subjects, no secret spies for the murderer, or minions of the murderer, Why do I keep saying murderer!?" she internally screamed at herself as she sized the accused up and down."Time to get on with this I guess?" she thought as she tried to remember every single line she had to memorize. "Ugh, this is why I hate trials!".
"Honey, we're waiting on you." Shining said in a concerned tone "Sweetie are you all right?".
"I'm fine, thank you, let's get this done" she said anxiously, but in truth she really wanted to get over with it, she wasn't used to dealing with this type of trial she was never the punishing type, but when one her subjects got harmed she could turn as fierce as Sombra! but right now she doesn't know wether this is the stallion that killed those innocent ponies, so she has to find out, for justice, for those poor ponies!
"Do you , Arcane Swirl , admit you have committed the crimes of pony slaughter and misuse and teaching others of dark magic?" said Princess Cadence as she stood next to the royal court on her left and her husband and Crystal guard on her left.
Arcane argued with himself as he thought about his answer. As soon as he said that one word everyone in the room started panicking and arguing. All of his attention was focused on the expressions of the princess and the prince carefully ,his train of thought was suddenly broken as the court was brought to a conclusion.
"Arcane Swirl, the witnesses clearly state that you were teaching others how to kill, harm and torture, you already know your punishment is, I asume?" the princess said in a bored voice as if she had rehearsed her lines a thousand times to others before him.
"no, noI don't"he said dryly since he had not gotten water for the past hours and was very nervous about his punishment.
"Well since you don't know the consequences for your actions," there was a pause... "I might as well enlighten you!" she said obviously pissed off. "Execution, first thing tomorrow, thats the punishment for treason and influencing others of your wretched magic!" she screamed... That was the first time anyone had seen her scream like that, not even during the wedding. Her husband tried to calm her down by stroking her tail, but even that didn't work.
Arcane woke up in a daze as he tried to standup... No he couldn't standup, of course not he was being dragged across a grimy, bloodstained floor. "Not even faust can help me now" he thought, because even if faust could help him he had done to much for her to forgive him.
"I'm sorry sisters, I'm sorry mom, I failed you" he whispered to himself as he hung his head low, partly to shame himself and partly to give whoever was dragging him across the floor a harder time.
"Alrighty" a gruff scratchy voice said in Arcane's ear. " The train has arived at the chopping block, please put your neck on the bloodied block of wood and prepare for destination, Tartarus!!" the executioner said gleefully, all the while acting like a train conducter. Well a train conducter sharpening his axe, as he did just so.
"No, this is not the end for Arcane Swirl, the crusher of gods, the Luna's nightmare and Celestia's eclipse... They will suffer!" he thought as he suddenly blurted out "So tune in next week for the next part in... How To Train your Demonic Apprentice!!!!".
