Chrysalis slowly said, trying to process the scene. The six mares-otherwise known as the Elements of Harmony- say in a puddle of goopey sticky green stuff, courtesy of cocoon spells. The two unicorns had their horns covered, and the two pegasi's wings were entangled in the slime. Chrysalis looked to her right; Princess Celestia was trapped in a large cocoon, hanging right next to the throne in which Chrysalis sat upon. "Did I win?" She jumped to her hooves, and frantically shouted at the six mares. "Elements of Harmony! Won't you try to resist us?!" Her soldiers simply sat about, not doing anything except watching the ponies with a careful eye. The purple unicorn, whose name is Twilight Sparkle, simple said with a bored face, "How can we? We can't move, use magic, and have no elements." The Queen threw her head to look in the direction in which Shining Armor and Princess Cadence sat. "You two! Won't you try the 'Love-Beats-Everything' move?!" Cadence sighed and replied, "I am hungry after being sealed in a cave without any food. I ran all the way here and I am too tired to use any magic. And now, I'm captured too." Shining's eyes were still green, which meant he was brainwashed. "Long live the Queen!" Yup. Still brainwashed. Chrysalis looked outside. The royal guards were covered in the same slime, the changeling soldiers still watching over them. "Won't anypony try resisting us?!" The Lunar Guards were asleep in their, bed-the changelings had made sure that if they woke up, they wouldn't move. Luna was wrapped in a cocoon, asleep as well;just like Celestia. And the citizens were stuck inside their house, too afraid to go out with changeling milling about. Chrysalis sat down in her throne with a sigh. "Wow..." She exhaled. "I won. I finally won. H-How could I win? Villains always lose..." "Yes, that's a crushing victory. Why make a fuss about it?" Celestia said from within the cocoon. "Didn't you expect to win at some point?" Chrysalis jumped from the throne and slammed her hooves on the cocoon. As she began to exclaim, the cocoon shook. "No!! I never though I would! I'm just here to harvest the love for my changelings!" Celestia's eyes began spinning with little swirls in them> "S-Stop shaking it! I-I'm dizzy!" Chrysalis looked over her shoulder at her captain. "Speaking of which, how does the Harvest go, Captain?" He saluted to her. "We have enough for a whole year! there's too much reserves!" "Are any of the ponies wounded?" "Most of them hurt themselves by falling or crushing into a wall by running, but we tended to most of their wounds already." The captain replied. "Err..." Celestia coughed, and Chrysalis turned her attention back to the Sun Princess. "If winning wasn't your plan, then what did you want to achieve?" Chrysalis inhaled, and in a full paragraph she explained her plan: "My original plan was to act as a villain wanting to capture the city to prevent anypony from leaving, while sending Twilight to the very same cave that I imprisoned Cadence in, so I could have time to drain the love from everypony here. Then I would allow Twilight and Cadence to return and prove who I really am, so that I would reveal my plan and conveniently leave Cadence near Shining Armor while looking away, so that Twilight could sneak over to them and bring them closer. The two would use their Love force to defeat us and send us far away, so we could pretend we were defeated and never return. Good would triumph over evil!" Celestia raised an eyebrow and muttered, "Is this your original plan, or a script for a drama?" She breathed in and asked, "So, what went wrong?" Chrysalis put a hoof to her chin to think. "When I looked away from Twilight, she didn't try to help Cadence. And because she got the two of them lost in that cave, and now they're too tired to even use magic!" "Wait, MY fault?!" Twilight suddenly exclaimed. "Maybe YOU actually looked away, but your guards didn't! And I've never been to that cave before, so how could I find my way out without a map?! If it was that simple, wouldn't Cadence have escaped by herself?!" Realizing her plan somehow failed in a victorious way, Chrysalis paced around, freaking out. "Oh nononononononono! What do I do?! What should I do?!" Celestia inhaled, and yelled to get Chrysalis' name; "CHRY-SA-LIS!" Chrysalis stopped and looked back at Celestia. "Now, take a deep breath, calm down, and think on how to solve this." Chrysalis nodded and did just that. She pulled out the Equestrian Data she stole from Celestia's room and began reading it. "Right! Let's find more about the Kingdom we're occupying." Celestia's face turned into a you've-got-to-be-kidding-me face, and said, "oh, I can tell you about it. I am its former ruler, right?" She inhaled and began to explain: "The Kingdom of Equestria with its capital of Canterlot has several regions: Hoofington, Fillydelphia, Trottingham, Las Pegasus, Baltiimare, Hollow Shades, Galloping Gorge, Foal Mountain Tall Tale, Mustangia, Ponyville, Appleoosa, Manehatten, and Doge City. Then, there's Tartatus, Saddle Arabia, our colony named Crystal Empire, and a number of places not yet named by Hasbro." "Wha-?" Chrysalis tried confusedly. But Celestia interrupted her, continuing on. "Our political system is a constitutional diarchy ruled by two sisters, who-aside from watching the kingdom and ruling it-have the task to raise and lower the sun and moon. The population is around 10 million with ponies, grffons, dragons, mino-" Suddenly, Chrysalis flopped on her back, a look of defeat on her face, as she shakily waved a white flag around. "E-Enough! W-We surrender...p-please don't go on...You win this one!" She begged. "Whaa?!" Celestia exclaimed. Chrysalis waved her hooves around, freaking out yet again. "I only have a small kingdom and we barely survive under my rule! And I have no idea how to rule a kingdom this big! And I don't know anything about controlling the sun or moon!!" "O-Okay..." Celestia managed. Chrysalis smiled cheerfully, completely changing her mood, and said. "Yeah! I've lost, so I'll return to my kingdom!" She began to walk away. "H-Hey!" Celestia called after her. "Release everypony first! Otherwise we die of starvation!" So Chrysalis did just that. She helped cleaned Celestia up by wiping the slime off of her. The soldiers and six mares were released, as well as Cadence-who attacked the refreshments table. After Chyrsalis made sure everypony was freed, she smiled brightly and began to trot off. "Okay!" She said in a cheery voice. "Now that's taken care of, off I go!" "Hey!" Celestia called. "What about my city?! It needs repairs!" Chrysalis stopped and turned around. "W-Why?" She asked, raising a hoof in a confused manner. "Why do i have to repair Canterlot?" Celestia strode forward, a mischievous gleam in her eyes. "these are called war reparations. Because you..." She looked straight into Chrysalis' eyes. "have lost the war." Chrysalis gulped, and Celestia smirked. "or would you rather win?" Chrysalis instantly put her hooves up, reassuring Celestia, and stammered, "A-Alright! No! In one hour, Canterlot was fixed. In one hour! Everypony stared as they saw their city was twice as better as it was than before. Everything seemed to have come from a story book.  Chrysalis sighed with stratification and cheerfully said, "Alright! City damage is repaired! It's time to say goodbye!" She began to leave yet again. "Wait!" Cadence called. "What about my wedding? You've got to help with that!" Chrysalis huffed and said, "Okay fine...geeze...." She ordered her changelings to begin to help with the reparations with the wedding. They helped bake another cake, and made it twice as better than before. A couple of changelings went and repaired the dress, making it more fabulous than before(stunning Rarity in the process). Others repaired the wedding room and decorated it with many wedding-like decorations; impressing Pinkie Pie, of course. Twilight found Chrysalis fixing Cadence's mane, and couched. "Umm...Ms. Chrys? C-Can I ask you something? It's for my studies" Ms. Chrys? Chrysalis thought as she turned to Twilight. "Hmm? Okay, go on." Twilight began her assault on knowledge. "How is it possible every Changeling have so many skills? They can do so much!" Chrysalis didn't have to think about that one. "Do you know how obtain love?" Twilight went for an obvious answer. "Capture a pony and get love from a pony who loves the captive?" Chrysalis shook her head. "For a realistic disguise, the changeling must master everything the normal pony can do. So we teach them all the skill they might need to imitate. And we're great learners, which means no slacking off!" She smiled Twilight realized the information and thought, Ack! If they're allowed to work in Equestria, many ponies will lose their jobs! They're too versatile, too organized, and too hard-working! Plus, they don't need bits since love is all they need in return. Finally, all the changelings had finished the reparations. Chrysalis sighed with relief, and began to leave yet again. "Alright, the wedding preparations are ready. Now we take our leave!" "Hey Chryssi!" Annoyed, Chrysalis turned around, causing to lock horns with Celestia. "What?" She asked angrily. Celestia didn't take notice to Chrysalis' emotion. "I was just going to ask you to join us at the wedding." "....." Moments later, Chrysalis sat in the front as Celestia conducted the wedding. "Mares and gentlecolts., we are gathered here today to celebrate the union of the real Princess Mi Amore Cadenza." Cadence giggled and said, "Princess Cadence is fine." As Celestia conducted the wedding, Chrysalis couldn't push way the nagging thought in her mind. She put her hoof to her chin in thought. I feel like I'm forgetting something... She couldn't remember what, so it probably wasn't that important. But, it still bothered her. She brought her attention back to the front as Celestia ended the wedding. She smiled brightly and said, "So now, you may kiss the bride!" Then the unusual thing happened: Instead of kissing Cadence, Shining Armor jumped down off of the plat form in front of Chrysalis;everypony kept looking at each other, equally confused as Chrysalis. Then Shining Armor kissed Chrysalis, lips and all. Everypony's jaw dropped and Chrysalis realized what she had forgotten: "Sorry! I forgot to undo the brainwashing spell!" She tried to reassure the eyes-flowing-water Cadence by going over to Shining quickly and undoing the spell. "Huh?"  Shining drowsily asked, shaking his head. "Is the wedding over?" Cadence, who was redder and embarrassed than ever, gave Shining quite the surprise: SLAP! As they waved to the ponies who were cheering down below, Shining couldn't help but wonder: What was that slap for? After everypony had begun making their way to the reception area, Chrysalis finally sighed and said, "Alright, the wedding is finished. We now take our leave." "Hey Chryssi!" Came the call from Celestia. Chrysalis whirled around and locked horns with the sun princess. "Argh! What else do you want?!" She hissed. Celestia looked a bit hurt, but she said, "I was just going to ask if you want to join us at the Party." ".........." The party was spectacular-of course it was, it was planned by Pinkie!- and everypony was having a good time. Chrysalis tolerated it, mostly because she wanted to go home. Suddenly Celestia grabbed her and said, "C'mon, dance on your hind legs!" She lifted up onto her hind legs, making Chrysalis do the same.  Their fore hooves to keep them from falling. "D-dance on hind legs?!" Chrysalis stammered as she began to stumble around with Celestia attempting to dance. "Try it!" Celestia said cheerfully. "It's fun!" They began dancing at the side of the party, to where not everypony noticed them. Even though it was embarrassing-Chrysalis could feel her cheeks getting hot-it really did seem fun. Until Chrysalis slipped backwards. Whether it be her own clumsiness or that literal random stone, they both crashed down; Celestia pinning Chrysalis down from on top.  Their snouts were close to each other, perhaps even a bit too close. Chrysalis' eyes were a bit wet from the pain of having a horse land on top of her, but she managed to talk. "Celestia, get off of me! A-And stop looking at me light that!" Celestia looked at Chyrsalis' beautiful eyes. "Wow...I never realized you were this sexy~" Celestia softly said. "W-What?" Chrysalis managed as Celestia's snout drew closer. "Be still~" Her soft voice was calming as their mouths were inches apart. Chrysalis managed a "T-Tia....." Before telling her what was going on. "Everypony is watching..." Celestia noticed; everypony was watching them With Celestia's outstretched lips to Chyrsalis, and Chrysalis' position, it didn't need a detective to figure out what was going on. Everypony was whispering to each other, and a lot of them were smiling. Both mares jumped up-redder than Big Macintosh-and Celestia attempted to cover up what she did. "S-She just asked for help in getting up..." Everypony raised and eyebrow and leaned forward in a bit, as if to say, Really?~ Celestia decided to turn their attention away from what just happened by saying, "Hey! T-This is the time to see the couple on their honeymoon chariot, right? What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Everypony went over the the street to watch Princess Cadence and Shining Armor leave in their chariot. A group of mares were huddled together, awaiting for the bride to throw the bouquet of flowers. When she did, it sailed over the mare's heads-Rarity had jumped in between them screaming "Mine!" To try to catch the flowers-but instead of reaching the mares, it landed on Chrysalis' horn, who was eating a sandwich. Everypony gawked at her as she looked back at them with a confused expression on her face. She had a little bit of crumbs on her face, and she inspected herself. "Hm? Do I have something on my face? Why do you keep looking at me like that?" After the party, everypony was excitedly talking about it. "Best wedding ever!" "Strange and exciting!" All except the changeling lazing behind the hedge, chewing on a piece of grass. Suddenly an upside-down face filled his vision and it said, "Howdy Chang!" It was Applejack. The changeling calmed down and said, "Huh? Oh, you must be that pony who chased me in *part 7 panel 2"  Applejack raised an eyebrow, confused, and thought, What the heck is a "part 7 panel 2"? She shook her head and shot back, "And yer the changeling who disguised himself as Twilight at  the battle." She then slapped him across the cheek. "Ow! Why did you kick me?!" "It was a slap" "But you used your foreleg!" Applejack rolled her eyes and said, "It's cuz you pinned me down and kissed me back then!" Chang held his face in pain. "I've already said it was an accident! Plus, you've already kicked me in the face." Applejack tipped her hat over her eyes and waited a while before saying, "Ah would also like to thank you." "Thank me? What for?" She sighed. "For saving mah life as I was about to fall off the balcony." He threw up his hooves as if to say no-big-deal, and he said, "You almost got yourself killed while chasing me! If I didn't save you in time, you wouldn't be here, you silly pony!" Suddenly, Applejack pressed herself against him and kissed him like none other. He had a shocked expression, but before he could say anything, Applejack ran away in a zigzag pattern. Chang stared at her for a long time, then little hearts started floating around his head and he began to drool Woah, such sweet, juicy LOVE...~ //-------------------------------------------------------// Sunbathing //-------------------------------------------------------// Sunbathing The next morning, when Luna watched her moon go down, she saw Celestia's come up. The only odd thing was it was moving like it was being controlled by a drunk pony. Confused, Luna went to Celestia's veiwing room and began talking as she walked in. "Hey, Tia! Why is your sun control off today? Such a crooked movement..." Instead of Celestia, Chrysalis turned around. "S-Sorry, it's my first time..." Chrysalis stammered. YOU!? Where's my sister?!" Chrysalis thought back. Celestia was still sleeping when she woke up. "Sorry, I couldn't wake her up." "But how did you raise the sun?" Luna asked. Chrysalis showed her a book. It had a sun symbol on the front, and it said, "How to raise the sun" below it was a fancy lettering that said 'Faust' "I've used a manual I found in the drawer." Chrysalis said blankly. Luna's eyes bulged. Mothers book?! She thought in confusion. As they trotted along the corridor, Luna asked, "But how did you get into 'Tia's room in the first place?" Chrysalis looked up at the ceiling, trying to remember, and said, "I don't know. When I woke up, Celestia was already sleeping in my hooves. I drank some apple juice(?) last night and can't really recall what happened after." Luna realized what "apple juice she drank. "Wait a minute! How many mugs did you have?" "Hmm about...twelve?" As they walked around the hall, Luna saw Chrysalis walking in a swerve pattern, stumbling a bit. I guess I know why your control over the sun is off then. And it's not because it's your first time. "Wait, you're leaving? Now?" Luna asked once they reached the front and she saw all of the changelings. "But...why not wait until Celestia wakes up? Chrysalis sighed. "If she wakes up, she'll think of yet another reason to keep me here. I have a kingdom to rule, subjects to feed, and frankly, I have no idea what's the situation in there. Since I brought most of my forces here, I only left a small brigade of monster hunters to fend off the southern dragons off." She looked at her ponies. Meanwhile, Applejack and Chang were talking. "We shall meet again, right?" Chang hung his head. He knew this was going to come. "No, we shall not. We will disappear into the shadows again. Disguise as one of your own, gather love and protect you from harm. You will never see us like this again, for disguise is our second nature." Applejack had a few tears in her eyes. She didn't want to cry, but she wanted to remember Chang. She took of her mane-band that always kept her mane and style and said, "If that's how it has to be...Then please accept this mane-band." She put it in his hooves. "Keep it and remember its owner, who fell in love with you." And with that, she ran off in a zigzag way yet again. "Pony! WAIT!" Change called, but too late:she was gone. Back where Luna and Chrysalis were, Luna asked, "Err...Can I ask you something? some watchers are curious about it. Why did you heal injured ponies and repaired our city instead of killing us or making us your slaves?" Chrysalis shut one eye in thought and said, "You know, for Changelings, you're like cows to us." "Cows?!" "Just like ponies get milk from cows, so do Changelings get love from ponies. When they are sick, you take care of your cows. And when they're in anger, you protect them. This is why some of us became soldiers, doctors, and scientists. To create, to take care of you, to protect you. To give you a better way of life." She smiled "For another question.  We aren't trying to dominate you or making you into our slaves. Letting you live free grants more love. And tastier too! Such approach saves us labour, time, and resources!" The changelings began to flutter their wings, and Chrysalis shouted over the noise, And now, I bid you farewell!" They flew away, and Luna had a shocked expression on her face. *On that day, Ponies remembered the dread that was living under their rule.
