We weren't always beggars. Only three months ago we had the content happy life any other kids in this 'perfect' town have. Of course we couldn't have realized just how fragile that platform was. It only took a few months, our parents dying and a silver tongued lawyer for us to go from peaceful to starving on the streets. However, I'm not the type who is just going to let the world leave me behind. If that means I have to lie and steal to get back some sense of normalcy, then I won't question taking a leap into the darkness.
