The Human-Covenant War had begun on February 3rd, 2525. It ended officially on March 3rd, 2553. During those 28 years of war, Humanity was pushed to the brink of extinction. Horribly outnumbered, outmatched, and outgunned, hope seemed all but gone for humanity. But thanks to the courage, and sacrifice of many men and women, the Covenant were defeated. Many horrors and revelations had been revealed during the war. Such as humanity was related to the ancient race known as the 'Forerunners', and the horrifying virus known as 'The Flood'. But in the face of it all, one man reached through the darkness, and gave humanity hope again. His name, forever engraved in the hearts and minds of men.

Equestria made contact with the UNSC in 2600, just 47 years after the Human-Covenan war ended.In 2614 ,Princess Celestia, Luna, and Twilight are on Earth for a meeting with the president of the United Earth Government. After the meeting, they are offered a tour of the city. They accept, and are curious when they see a museum titled 'The Museum of Humanity'. They are given a tour of the museum, and after word, have a much different opinion of Humanity after they leave the homeworld.
