Monochrome Diariesby bielartChaptersMais do MesmoSoul ParsifalA Montanha Mágica//The Magic MountainMais do Mesmo"Uff... Uff... Uff..." I'm panting after a rough volleyball training. Even though my team lost, I'm smiling and happy because it was a great game after all. My bag is filled with my after-game stuff; two towels, clothing, a pair of tennis and two water bottles. I close my eyes and relax once again before wiping my sweat off, and raise my head to the gym roof above me. I turn myself off from the world for a few seconds, and when it lasted, I could only hear my brething, feel the sweat on my face falling to the sides and the sweat in my neck falling to my orange n' black uniform. My wet and curly hair of the color black also drops sweat, but it doesn't hit any part of my back. I come back when I hear a volley ball being hit from the court and bouncing on it right away. "Time to take off," I whisper to myself. I withdrawal one of my towels from the bag, place it on my left shoulder and walk away, waving goodbye to everyone. "See ya, people." On the way home, my sweat has already gone and I didn't lose the chance to listen to my favorite band, Coldplay. The distance between my home and the gym is not that far away, so I could only hear to three or maybe four songs. I'm not really in a rush so I enjoy the view around me; the buildings can be blocking the view of the sky, but the art on the walls make up for the lost vision of a vast world. "Great job they've done here, I must say... although not quite my style of art." I kinda forgot to say I love to draw manga. It's not only fun, but also fulfilling when you finish it; it's just like winning a game of any kind. The exact same feeling. My home can be seen from where I am now. My neighbor is washing his yard right now and his dog is playing with a lil' plastic chicken, biting and swinging it one side to another. I can see happiness overflowing from the dog while playing by himself. I want a doge for me, I think. My loneliness' so immoral. I have many friends which I can count on around, but I've always felt like... I'm alone. Maybe that's why I want so much a dog; he or she wouldn't be judging my actions and will always be loyal and kind to me. Different from many humans I've met... disgusting they are. I let out a sigh and wave greetings to my neighbor with a smile, before reaching the front door of my house. I pick up my key from the right pocket and unlock it to enter. My living room is just like it was before I took of to college; everything in the right place. The television is off and I intend to leave it like this for today; all I want to do right now is relax and sleep for the rest of the day. I throw my bag to the couch, see in my cellphone that it is already after seven o'clock, throw it with the bag and run off to the kitchen. When I open the fridge, I can see plenty of food, but I don't want to eat right now so I grab the milk from the fridge door and place it on the table next to it. Next I walk to the sink and wash a glass as fast as I can, so I can drink it as soon as possible. I place it next to the milk and don't wasste time to pour the liquid inside it. With a double gulp, I end the milk inside the glass and put the same back in the sink. Imagination says... a huge bear is running towards me and the only place safe is my bedroom. AAAAAAAAH!!!, then I start running just like a desperate retarded towards my bedroom. Heheh, what can I say? I pulled it out from mother's side. After I rushed towards the room and bumped in some furniture of my house, I reached my room with no problems and got myself safe from the bear's claws. I felt a little bit victorious. The complete silence is only interrupted by the ticking of my clock on the side of my bed. tick, tick. tick, tick. Never, stops. Sounding, this... "YAAAWN," I yawn and immediately close my eyes, putting a smile upon my face. I wonder how would it be if... I was living... in... Equestria... I'm a brony. People around me don't really know I'm into a little girls show, but I don't really hide. You just got to ask and I'll definetly say the truth. Plus, I don't think it's a little girls' cartoon, I thinnk it's for everybody, just like barbie or the littlest pet shop. Not that I like these shows -- In fact, I hate Barbie -- it's just that it's not fair that a growns up man or a little boy has got the curiosity to watch it and due some people judgement they end up not liking it. "Uh..." I wake up still with my head turned towards the bed. It irritates me to wake up. ANYTIME. ANY. FUCKING. TIME. I groan in protest, trying to get back to sleep, but the bed seems rather uncomfortable right now and the weather seems to be oclder than usual. Great. A fucking morning cold. You made my day, life, and truly deserve a reward. Why don't you get the opportunity and just go, uh, I dunno, FUCK YOURSELF WITH THIS COLD FUCKING WIND, I thought to myself. It was supposed to be a normal morning, with breakfast, college, volleyball training, greetings to the neighbor and coming back home to draw, write or sleep. Although, as if it wasn't enough giving me this uncomfortable experience with my bed and a winter cold wind, life made the decision to move me out. Of Earth. When I rose from the bed, as usual I opened the curtains and looked outside to judge if the weather would be my mom's feet, Antartida, supercold, cold, medium, hot, superhot, sun, Ilha Solteira. Instead of judging the weather, I decided to admire a view I've never seen before. For some unknown reason, I'm seeing the horizon being hit by the sunlight of the morning and the cold wind became delightful when the sound of leaves dancing came to dance in my ears to. "Amen to that," I say with a thin smile. "Now to the main question, WHERE THE FUCK AM I?! Before panicking, I decided to take a shower and put everything randomized in my head to their respective places. While I take the shower, I sing: Sunshine, sunshine. Lady bugs awake. Clop your hooves, and Do a little shake! I cease the shower and dry myself up to put on some decent clothes; time to look around for some clues and solve the mystery of my house. In the living room, I grab my notebook so I can write down about the places I'll walk around and as much details as I can. Obseration mode, Engage. ... I just left home and for some completely unknown reason, I feel for the first time in years... sure. Like, everything I've ever done in my life it's been doubted before I've done it, but now I really feel that the absolute right thing to do is to explore the surroundings of my house. "As I've alread seen the north side of my house, time to see south, west and east," I mumble to myself, getting ready to take notes. On the side of the east, everything is the same as north, although it has a forest with quite hostile image. South, not too far away from the forest, I can see a humble cottage with plenty of mini houses for animals and what appears to be a sleeping grizzly bear. Okay, that's the last place I wanna seek for right now... Rush now quiet now, dear bear. Don't mind me here, I think to myself. And all my expectations for something more amazing than a sleeping bear near someone's cottage were extremely low. Until I saw west side. "It... can't be," I mutter again in awe to the vision of a small city with a big crystal castle in the middle of it. Houses were nearby this castle and what appears to be a tower is in the middle of it all. Of all the possibilities of what could've happened, this was most likely the last one I'd be expecting to be. Right in front of my eyes, reside one of the most important places on this world... of Equestria. "PonyVILLE!!! YEAH!" I cheer, unable to explain the level of happiness and excitement I am experiencing this moment. Jumping up and down, I kind of threw rigorously my notebook and my pen to the grass. I interrupt my moment of cheering abruptly so I can relax as much as possible, taking a deep breath and exhaling the air I breathed in. I don't want to pass the wrong impression for Princess Twilight Sparkle. It has to be a good one. "Can't wait to meet them all." I don't waste time to start walking towards it to make a proper introduction. As I approach the city, a strange feeling of anxiety shiver through my whole body and I can feel myself sweating bricks. Every step I take is a step closer to reaching one of my most required desires. "I hope nothing goes wrong," I stand before the city limits. My expression changes from a worried to a confident one. My notebook and pen ready to be used and my guts ready to do it's job. I walk. And immediately bump into some kind of magic shield. Frustrated and surprised, I throw both my pen and notebook to the ground. Again. "OH, COME ON!" I scream, and in no time, six ponies are teleported to the edge of the city, but inside of this magic shield. I recognized them right away. The purple unicorn and probably the smartest pony I've ever known, Twilight Sparkle; the pink earth pony and absolutely the funniest pony of Equestria, Pinkamena Diane Pie, A.K.A. Pinkie Pie; the cian pegasus and probably the fastest pegasus alive, Rainbow Dash; the white unicorn and the most talented fashionista of all Equestria, Rarity; the orange earth pony and the strongest one I've ever seen alive, Applejack; the yellow pegasus and absolutely the kindest of them all, Fluttershy. They were all carefully watching me, suspicious. No surprise, they've probably never seen a creature like me, I think to myself. And still, I stand there in front of them all, taking no action with a wide grin on my face and biting quite hard the right side of my lower lip. When I realise Fluttershy is hiding behind Rainbow Dash and everypony else seems to be scared too, I hide away my smile for a moment and take a deep breath. Before I can protest and give them my greetings, Twilight decides to force the conversation with quite hostile tone, which intimidates me. "Who are you and why are you trying to invade this city?" it surprises me the way she talks like she knows the specie I am. Before I can answer, Rarity barges in the convesation with probably no regrets. "Oh, please," she says in a careless way. "Do you really think a savage and ugly Dog is able to even understand what you're saying, darling?" ...ouch... it hurts... she and all the other ponies share the same grin, except for Fluttershy which is scared, and Twilight which is serious. "Rude," I say. "First of all milady, I'm no Diamond Dog at all. I'm another kind of creature you probably have no record of in Equestrian story. I know you doubt that, Twilight, let me finish," I say before she gets the chance to interrupt my dialogue with some kind of 'I don't believe you' argument. "Second, I have no idea of how did I get in Equestria or why did I get here, so the two questions you've made are completely pointless. And third..." I sit down, expecing them to not believe in these bunch of words I just said. "I've always wanted to have the honor to meet you all. From now on, I decide to adress myself as Monochrome," I decide to end my speech right now and see how they react. Widened eyes, mouth agape and dumb expressions. Yup, pretty much confused, I think. "...wut," Rainbow Dash's dumbfolded expression is priceless. "Y'all... wanna meet us?" Applejack question my statement. The look in her eyes is more like surprised and less suspicious like. "Why's that, uh..." "Monochrome," I confirm. "But I also listen to when others call me 'Mon' or just 'chrome'." "Yeah, we got that darling," Rarity barges in the conversation. "But why are you so curious about... well, us?" I widen my eyes. I can't believe she just asked that to somePONY from outside. "Why? I'll tell you why," my surprised gaze changed to a serious one. "You all are the mane six. Known as the bearer of the six elements of harmony, saviors of Equestria multiple times and you got your friendship strength tougher than ever. I've always admired the way you deal with things and the issues you manage to solve. And it was with all the six of you I learned that... friendship is magic," I cease my second speech slyghtly blushing and decide to listen to what they are planning on saying. My serious gaze didn't change at all. They idly tried to find any trace or sign of lie on me, but they couldn't find any. In those words, there were no lies at all. I meant it from the bottom of my heart. "Girls," Twilight manages to break the boring and disquieting ice. "Reunion. Now," then all the other five mares join Twilight in a small circle, whispering incomprehencible words for a normal human to hear. Apparently, they have their atentions all on the element of honesty; obviously to discover if I am or not lying. After this chit chat between them, Twilight and the others turn around to stare at me; obviously, it felt quite awkward, because this stare contest lasted for some silent and hollow seconds... until Pinkie can't hold it anymore. "SO... I got a couple of questions..." she says. And all innocent, I made a decision I shouldn't have, for the good of my brain. "Ask away," oh poor thing... Pinkie takes a deepbreath and in the moment I heard the gasp, I knew I just made a mistake. Also, because Twilight facehoofed. "Whatareyouwheredidyoucamefromwhat'syourfavoritekindofcakewhyhaveyouchosenMonochromeasyournameinsteadofyourrealnamedoyouhaveanywheretostayyourmaneisreallycuteandIfindyouverytallandhandsomewhatyoujustsaidwasitalltrueandhowdoyouknowofourexistanceifyou'renotfromthisworldwhenisyourbirthdayandjustWHATAREYA?!?!!" Right after this assault, I realized something... "Oh, Pinkie Pie," I open up a smile. "You're so random I couldn't understand one word of what you just said!" "I know, hihihi *snort*" how cute was that snort. "I get that a lot," she said waving a hoof in the air. The six ponies seem to be smiling at Pinkie's randomness and as soon as the laughter ends, Twilight turn back to me, still with the smile. "Okay, you can enter the city. We trust youBUT," she interrupted herself. "If you show any signal of betrayal, I'll send you to the Royal Court right away." After that advice she had for me, her horn began to lighten up and the shield began to open a hole in front of me and the ponies. Lots of thoughts began to race on my mind, like leaves that got blown away by a blower. I get up of the dirty ground and clean some dust stuck in the pants with a few taps. Here I am, ready to enter the city I most love of Equestria from the bottom of my heart. Ponyville. When I put my foot in the inside part of the shield, the lavender unicorn greet me. "Welcome to Ponyville, Monochrome." After that, all the other stare at me wearing friendly smiles and I confess *raise right hand* I blushed to that. Nice to meet you, new life. Soul ParsifalMaybe Twilight won’t notice that I can presume that she wants to ask me many, many questions. She probably thinks it is rude to press me about subjects of the most and so, she'll try to do it subtly. I chuckle loud enough to gain her attention and she looks at me intrigued. “What?” she ask. “Nothing at all, just thinking of something here,” I respond. Sometimes I'm surprised how competitive I am. Between the many things that could catch my attention, I realise I'm NOT-considerably behind her and in time I decide to match the gap between us. She talks and talks about all the places we pass while we walk around Ponyville on the way to Sugarcube Corner, always with a smile, excitement and a hint of pride. Now that the establishment is in sight, I wander a little further in the neighborhood with my eyes. I spot a white unicorn with black shades in front of a house with two floors, levitating carefully a few mail. Inside of the house, I see the silhouette of an earth pony with long and black mane, heading to the front door, seeking for the unicorn probably. I ship it like fedex, immediately echoes through my mind. “Here we are,” she declares and point her hoof to the candy building. “Sugarcube Corner and also the residence of Pinkie Pie and the Cakes. Hope you enjoy the breakfast,” she says with some nervous giggling in the end. I pat her and thank her properly, before realising something. “What's wrong?” she ask noticing the slight concern across my face. I sigh and without further ado, answer to her question. “I have no money.” “No problem at all. I was already expecting such thing, so I brought a couple of extra bits,” she smiles and surprises me with her accurate deduction. I kneel so I get heigh leveled to the princess. “I promise I'll pay you those bits. Please don't say you won't accept it,” I interrupt her before she attempts to interrupt me. “It's a principle thing,” I finish my sentence. Then, right after I raise and seal the promise. “Cross my heart and hope to fly, stick a cupcake in—” “—My eye!” I say in unison with a extremely familiar female voice. Pinkamena Diane Pie appeared out of nowhere, now hanging in my right shoulder. Her giggling came together with a funny snore and a question she had in mind. “What was that Pinkie Promise for?” She looks at me with those ocean eyes, full of joy and curiosity. And mysteriousness. “Oh, y'know... Twilight is going to pay the breakfast for me today, so... you can resume the rest,” I shrug. “Ooh. So you'll need a place to work then?” she ask and refuse to descend my shoulder. “Basically, yeah.” “Why don't you work here?” “When do I begin?” “Tomorrow morning.” “Sounds good to me,” I nod. “Let's go, Twy?” Her dumbfounded gaze is hilarious and it just gets better with her mouth agape. “Don't keep your mouth open, silly Twily.” Pinkie tease her and we both giggle as I open the door for the both of us to enter. For the record, Pinkie is still hanging on my slender shoulder. “The hay just happened?” Twilight wonder, and trying to forget the scene, she follows us to the insides of Sugarcube Corner. Right away, I remove the loose pink pony from my shoulder and place her in the ground gently. I decide to go to the last but one table and let Twilight sit at first and I follow her lead right after. Pinkie Pie out of nowhere again, jumps and introduce us the menu with all the options we can consider to choose. My eyes lend on the 'Chocolate Pudding' option but I decide to go in a lighter way. Further in the menu I see 'Rain Cookie' and that's when my tongue gets wetter. “Pinkie, will you bring me a couple of rain cookies and a cup of milk, please? Take your time,” I close the vivid menu and lay it on the table. “Okie-Dokie-Lokie!” she nods and wait for Twilight's order. She takes a little longer, looking confused and unaware of what to choose. Sick of wasting time with the menu, she throws it closed to the table, and spit out. “Just bring me the same as his.” “Okay, I'll be back in a minute,” Pinkie states and take off to the kitchen. I turn to look back at Twilight and she seems irritated about something. “Is everything alright?” I ask politely and genuinely worried about the alicorn. She seems to be surprised. “Oh, yes, yes. Perfectly fine, just... a little outburst, that's it.” “Okay, then,” I smile and comfort myself in the red puffy seat of the cozy store. It can easily fit eight ponies in this whole space, I zone out. After a few a seconds of complete silence with me showing off a face like if I just did drugs and a series of silent goofy laughing, Twilight breaks the ice. “So, uh... Monochrome,” she snap me out of the trance. “How are things in your world, I mean... how different is it from here?” I place my fingers in a thinking motion below my chin, and 'hm' to the question. This was mostly because of the pose, not the thinking matter. But I answer her properly. “It's mostly the same thing, just... there is too much darkness in there. It's depressive,” I explain to the lavender mare, which seems to be paying a lot of attention. She immediately jumps to another question and listening to everything I say. “And how much darkness are we talking about?” she widen her eyes in curiosity, ready for many of the possible answers. I cease my motion and sigh heavily. Immediately Twilight regrets the question, but the subject cannot be ignored. She seats normally again in her own seat and draws a sad expression on her face. “Sorry...” “No, no, it's fine. I just get sad when I think about it. You'd understand if you lived there,” I make the wasted effort to make Twilight feel better. Why do I always fuck things up... “H-how...” she mutters almost in an inaudible tone. “How do you think I'd turn out in this world?” This question gives me quite the chill. If I tell the true answer about it, I don't know how she'd react. I stare at her for some moments deciding on what should I say. She don't flutter her eyelids until I open my mouth to speak. “Perfectly fine,” I smile and avoid the eye contact. Right after I realize the clue I left that I lied, I try to remain calm, but I feel a heat of nervousness run through my body. Glad it's not Applejack here, I think. Before Twilight could react to the answer, Pinkie Pie – with her usual perfect timing – arrives with our requests; three rain cookies and a cup of milk for each of us. I take both plates and place Twilight's in front of her. It takes some seconds for her to snap out of the trance my fingers are causing. “T-thank you,” she says. Even after she delivered the orders, Pinkie is still there staring at us having breakfast. I don't care at all, but what bothers me is Twilight staring at my fingers in awe. “If you want to ask something about these beauties here,” I motion my fingers in a wave effect. It's super effective, Twilight's almost drooling. “Ask right away,” I grin. “N-no, I-I-I w-wasn't thinking about them at all,” she levitates her cup of milk and begins to drink it. Let's make her spit the milk out, shall we? “Hm... my fingers are so tense,” I say. Pinkie is smiling wide as ever, but Twilight's attention is now completely locked on her research subject. A devilish grin is drawn in my face. “I think I need to—” Intentionally I interrupt myself to snap one's fingers. Instead of spilling, she almost choke the milk, still spilling some of it from her nose. Wiping off with a napkin that was lying next to her rain cookies plate, she stares at me with worried eyes. “A-Are you alright?!” she's blushing a little from embarrassment. Pinkie Pie is laughing and snoring, while I chuckle. “Yeah, it's okay. I just snapped 'em, that's all.” Now, Twilight is looking quite annoyed. “Y-you scared me!” “I know,” I take the cup with white liquid to my mouth and take a sip. Instead of placing it on the table, I wave it round and round, causing the liquid to do the same movements. “If you didn't like it, I promise I won't do it again so soon,” I say staring at her narrowing eyes, staring daggers at me. I turn to the window and stare blankly at it. "Have you ever thought of how beautiful things can be?" I say towards the alicorn. "That's what I think when I look... no. That's one of my thoughts when I look blankly to and through the window." My mind travels on thoughts from another dimension together with my eyes wandering in the landscape. My ears become deaf and I feel something I didn't feel in a long time, so as I believed that it was already lost in me. “Peace.” Most of time, when I go out and look outside the glass like this, there's nothing interesting happening. It wasn't different this time. Even with nothing interesting outside, I keep on staring because it's exactly this moment I begin to reflect and remember everything that's happened in my life, regardless good or bad memories. I know that Princess Twilight is staring at me and once again, I couldn't care less. As long as she doesn't interrupt these rare peaceful seconds of mine, I'll let her do as she pleases. Once I close my eyes, a song pop up in my mind and quietly I begin to hum it; a sad, mad and slow tune. It my favorite song from Legião Urbana. Some seconds had passed as fast as the song which had had just finished. I raise the cup a little higher than usual, look at the milk and mutter. “Urbana Legio Omnia Vincit.” And finally I finish the cup milk.. I open my eyes and watch Twilight amazed and quiet. I am surprised by the fact that Pinkie Pie is also quiet, not even her usual smile is on her face anymore. Although unlike the princess, Pinkamena looks... understanding. Ironically, I get amazed on the pink pony's reaction. “Uh,” Twilight interrupts my train of thoughts. “Are you okay, Mon?” I stare at her with quite scared gaze but as soon as possible I recompose to my normal self. “Y-yeah, I'm fine. Just traveling in my imagination, that's all.” I turn to see Pinkie entering the kitchen in a hurried pace, but with a smile different from the one she usually carries. “Just traveling...” Since she delivered us our orders, Pinkie did shape no reaction and it left me confused. And preoccupied. “Excuse me, Twilight. Be back in a minute,” I rise and leave the table, heading to the kitchen as fast as possible. Twilight attempt to call me and ask what's wrong, but I pay no mind to it. Need to apologize my rude behavior later, I think. Sugarcube Corner's kitchen I rush inside, expecting for Pinkie to be baking some new treat for later customers, but the pink party-pony is seen nowhere in the kitchen. “Strange,” I mutter looking around for some door or for the pony herself, when suddenly my back is filled with a weight that wasn't there a second ago. The smell of cotton candy gives her away. “Hello again, Pinkamena.” “Hi!” she laughs and snorts. “Nopony calls me Pinkamena, y'know?” “Any problem? I could use or Pinkamena or Diane.” I say and take her on my arms. “Pinkamena is easier to say, but Diane is prettier.” She blushes to the compliment. “Oh, shucks,” she motions her hoof and I chuckle. I place the pink pony in the ground for the second time this morning, but now I kneel to get eye leveled with the beautiful mare and look deep into her ocean eyes. “I know by your smile after you entered here, that you can understand me like nopony can, but... I'm still not ready to talk with you. I still have to lead with the fact that... I will never see my friends, my parents and the rest of my family again.” Tears I wish I could restrain begin to fall from my eyes and run down my cheeks as fast as Rainbow Dash. My voice once confident and strong is now contorting. Painful, I confess. “I'm sorry.” In a kindness act, Pinkamena wipes off my tears and smile brightly to me. It sure makes me happier. “I'll wait for when you're ready.” “*sniff* Pinkie promise?” “Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye,” she dances and complete with the hoof in her eye. Once again, I chuckle. “C'mere,” she calls and then she hugs me. This moment last for a few seconds before I break it and rise, with a smile that Pinkie put on my face. “Diane it is.” Pinkamena stares at me and just laughs and snorts whilst I remember that my rudeness with Twilight is still to be forgiven. Both of us walk off the kitchen and she seems to be back to her 'normal' self. I call Twilight when we reach the balcony and she get off the seat to approach myself. “Are you sure you wanna go already? You have eaten nothing this morning,” she says. Then I realize she's right; my belly has been snoring the whole morning and I got nothing to eat. “Take one rain cookie for me so I won't starve until lunch, please.” Twilight nods, before handing me two rain cookies and the last one for herself. I chuckle to that. “Y'know, If ya overdo with the eating, your flank may get even bigger than it already is,” I tease. The blush on her face, the dumbfounded gaze and the blow she gave me in the thigh give the victory away. Once I pleasantly deal with it, I bite down a piece of my breakfast treat. Delicious, I think. “Bye, Pinkie!” I wave my hand, leave the candy store and the bitten rain cookie within it. She waves back and turn to the new couple of ponies; a mare and a stallion with the same white coat and ginger mane. Before we head towards the Ponyville Park, Twilight seems to be in an intern conflict to decide if she does or doesn’t question my conversation in the kitchen with Pinkamena and once again, curiosity wins another battle. “What were you two talking?” I turn to look at Twilight. After she questions it, I think and think of what should I answer to her, because the truth is out of question. I can’t decla— “She’s the only living being that can understand me. We had the strangest conversation, I cried to the circumstances and we hugged each other before we left. Nothing more and nothing less.” ...Fucking *Hell*, conscience! Twilight is stunned with the answer that came and at first, she couldn’t believe my words. Her mind changes once her doubted eyes land on me. Which leave her even more confused. “W-wha-what do you mean?!” “Chill,” I say. “It was a thing that not even I can explain what it is. Maybe Diane can, but I have no—” “Diane?” she raises one eyebrow. I think it was one of the rarest times somepony called Pinkie by her second name. “Why not Pinkie?” “In the middle of the conversation, Pinkie and I had decided I'd call her or Pinkamena or Diane, and I decided it shall be Diane because it's prettier." Once again, Twilight carries a dumbfounded gaze with the classic gaped mouth. Although it doesn't stop her in the tracks and we still head to the park. 'Ts gonna be a long day The night gets closer as the sun sets on the vast horizon. We are in front of the castle and I'm ready to head back home for a nice cup of milk, a good time drawing and a good night asleep. "Too bad we didn't find Rainbow." "Ya right. Although, I bet she'd be suspicious about me," I shove my hands in my pockets. "And Fluttershy is nicer than I thought," I declare quite impressed. I have seen the kindness of Fluttershy back on Earth but I never thought she'd actually give me a massage in the back. It was supposed to be just a joke; it did feel amazing though. A loud and long yawn scapes from my mouth, which means my weak and stupid body wants to rest. "Sorry 'bout that. My body is a pussy and it wants to rest so badly." "No problem," Twilight let out a yawn of her own, but she wasn't caught off guard, since she rose her hoof to the mouth. "I'll be writing a letter to the princess about you and the day I've had." A cold wave shivered through my body and I almost sneezed to that. An old feeling I haven't felt since junior school is back to torment me. Fear of *Rejection.*** A Montanha Mágica//The Magic MountainIf somepony pass me by and see me smiling, this somepony may find it weird and ask me. "Why do you smile?" My response to the previous question will be "Why not?" while holding up the same cheering smile. Something that didn't change the slightest in the walk back home, is that it remains completely cold and lonely. Of course, before I had to look at buildings and it's squared shapes with depressive colors; mostly grey, hear to the sounds of motorcycles and cars riding on the streets and listen to songs that made this whole scenario a bit more cheering. But even now when I'm chosen to be in a world that for ages I've been dreaming being part of, with more colors and shapes to wander my eyes on, kids and adults laughing for no other reason than happiness and the main scent of clean air around me, this unwearying plague still chases me wherever I go. "It would've been better if I had my cellphone to hear songs," I mutter to myself when I lay my eyes in my house and the nearby tree. The time will go on faster if I sleep but I know I'll stay up anyway. Not sneaking, more like running away from the inside like if there was a monster, Rainbow Dash flies up to the tree and seems to be searching for something in the city behind me. I don't know if I get confused because she was inside my house, probably snooping on my stuff or that in this distance she's trying to spot something in the middle of the city. I shrug these thoughts away and wave one hand towards her. "Hey, Dash!" I call. In the blink of an eye she's flying full speed towards me it and doesn't seems that she will slow down, or that she wants to for that matter. I cringe and prepare for the massive impact it should surely cause, but it all became more confusing when it actually never came. When I open my eyes to see what' going on, I see the cute face of a confused Rainbow Dash towards me. Can't help to notice her pink eyes and simple eye lashes, winking to get those beauties watered. "What's that?" she asks. I soon realize that I'm still cringed with arms up in the air and almost as confused as her so I try to regain my composure, having to bear some laughing from the cyan mare. "Enjoying the moment, I see," I scratch my nape and smile at her. "Is that my volleyball?" I ask and point to the round object displaying vivid blue and yellow colors. Rainbow Dash then stares at what she's holding then seems to have remembered something; her open eyes full of excitement followed by a gasp which managed to escape from her half-parted mouth. "OH YEA, I FORGOT I WAS SEARCHING FOR YOU SO THAT I COULD ASK IF YOU..." she takes a pause then stares at me blankly. I turn my head to the side and see if there's something or somepony behind me, but nothing more than a forest and an open field filled with grass and some flowers blowing with the wind. It's kind of invigorating feeling the wind blow like this on my face. "If you like volleyball..." she mutters still with the same dumbfounded look on her face. I give up on trying to find out what's gone into her to be looking at me this way and approach her to gather back the ball. "Yeah, I do," I extend my hand to her, expecting for the ball to fall on it, but it never happens because she's zoning out. "What about it, Dash?" She snap out of it with an audible "Ah," then hand me the ball. "G-good," her cheeks flush a light tone of red, and despite this she still manages to keep on talking. I put the ball on my side and support it with my arm so then I raise once again to my normal posture, aware that my height could intimidate her. "I want to play a match against ya!" "Against me?" I raise an eyebrow. "Yes." She confirms in a more serious tone, which surprises me. "I don't really care if you're higher or stronger than me..." her eyes then lock on me. "I'll win against ya anyways." This fierce stare carries such intensity that it paralyzes me and almost make me crawl back home, then into my room just so I can cry all by myself while saying 'I'm sorry' all the time. I can't possibly describe how awesome and badass she looks right now, but I can tell that if anything more intense than this actually happens while I'm alive, I'll be surprised as hell. "Sure! But I'm tired now so we will have to wait til' tomorrow," I explain to her and she seems to understand my conditions. "Wanna toss?" I invite her raising the volleyball in my right hand while staring at her. She delays to answer and nods with a cocky grin on her face. "I'm a first class ace, but I can put up with it." She then leaves the ground to be in mid-air, in position and totally waiting for the ball to come. After a some tosses and a few spikes followed by receives, Rainbow Dash seems to realize something she should have some time ago. "Oh, and by the way, Do you have anypony to be your teammate?" This make my next toss miss target and send the ball straight to the tree next home. "Oops," I rub my nape ashamed of tossing the ball so far away from the target; and all because for a brief second I got distracted. "My bad. No, I haven't but I'll figure something out until the friendly." Rainbow Dash's ear twitch in an agitated way, wishing she didn't just hear the exact word she heard. "Friendly?" I nod. Uncomfortably quietly she fly up to the tree then gathers the ball, only so then she throw it up and to spike it with both hooves whilst aiming at me. My reflexes aren't that much but it's enough for me to make a good reception without the ball escaping so then it consequently goes up my home and shatters one of my windows. We both exchange head-to-head fierce gazes, even after the ball has hit the ground. "If you think that we'll weaken during the match only because it's a friendly—" "You are completely wrong." Her voice trips onto my own and fall apart to a stronger and steadier one. I keep on gazing up searching for a slight sign of unexpected reactions, but I find nothing more than a shocked pegasus flapping her wings to stay steady in mid air while looking deep into my eyes, seeking something she cannot find in a moment like this. An argument. "I also," I grab the ball tight before I speak up to Dash, pulling her off of her trance. "Hate when my opponents think that if it's just a friendly, they can go easy. I'm the only one who got all out in court, really seeking for the victory. Right now I realize I've found a teammate who I can trust completely and rely on in difficult times. We'll be rivals in and off court, but no matter what happens in the meantime," Inevitably I open up a smile to my own reasoning and close my eyes to feel better this feeling of accomplishment. "I feel like we're gonna be best of friends." After the feeling was over, I open my eyes to see Rainbow Dash's eyes gazing on me while to our side, the sun finishes to set and the moon begins to raise with all the twinkling stars behind. Gazing upon the phenomenon I recall that I have work starting tomorrow morning beside Diane, so I think it's better for me to get some early rest. After all, not only the job will take some energy out of me but also the match after it, and still I have to find a partner for myself. "Hm... I think I'll be heading home," I say to the pegasus. She's still being quiet after all that, what I find to be a miracle. "See ya tomorrow, Dash." "O-oh, yeah. I have to work tomorrow too, so... see ya later," she then fly away neck break speed, probably towards her house. I turn around leaving the tree behind me and ready to open up my doo— *Rustle**Rustle* The sound came from the treetop, and I turn around as fast as I can so see if there was somepony there. The wind buzzing in my ears is making it difficult to trace any odd sound that may come from there and there're no leaves falling from the middle of it. I keep searching for any sign of life in there for the longest of ten seconds so then I decide to shake it off and finally enter my house. "How odd," I mutter. * * * Many things I am pondering inside of my head and the one which has been hammering painfully is about Celestia's reaction about my arrival. I don't know what will happen, and I'm actually almost certain that everything will run smoothly but my brain still forces me to consider all the other bad options like if there were no good outcomes. I sigh and scratch my nape and walk to the kitchen. A good n' old cup of water will help me calm down, I think. I'm sure that it won't help to keep worried over something that can happen tomorrow, after all. I have to focus on what I do now, and let the future happen as it's supposed to be; as it's always been in my life. I gulp down the water in a matter of seconds then wash the glass so I can go to sleep. When I enter the bedroom I immediately close the door behind me because of my stupid fear that something creepy will keep staring at me while I sleep. I take my time to remove my clothing and throwing it anywhere in the room, and for a moment I even stop to admire the moon and it's fading light that is even more beautiful than back on earth. When only my underwear is left I climb up to my bed and start covering myself up with the white blanket. My whole body shivers to the cold sensation of the fabric touching and grinding my skin but it ends soon when my own body heat makes it even. What seems wrong about it, is that I didn't mourn about me coming like this to this unknown world. Leaving all my family, friends and others behind. "At least, here, no one will ever judge me." I hope.
Mais do Mesmo"Uff...
Fear of *Rejection.***
A Montanha Mágica//The Magic MountainIf somepony pass me by and see me smiling, this somepony may find it weird and ask me.
