My little Woona
Chapter Woona
Load Full StoryI screamed as I raged through the house into my room. Once I got there I curled up on my bed and sobbed. My nose was bloodied, my shirt torn. I had gotten into a fight with some twelfth graders, and got beat up for it. Being a peqasister in eighth grade was difficult, and many people like to beat me up about it. The worst part of this fight, the part that made me cry, was tha my family had cheered with the crowd whenever I got hit, and booed whenever I used the little reflexes that I had to dodge. I had hit the twlfth grader in question, a normal sized man, with as much power as I could muster. My mom had just stood there, ignoring my silent pleas for help. I know now what I mean to the family and friends that I have known all my life. To them I am nothing! Nothing but petty amusement. I sobbed into my pillow for a while, before standing up and going to the computer. I opened netflix, and turned on my little pony. I always watch it when I am upset, but it is growing old. I am sick of watching each episode again and again, hoping for a glimpse of princess Luna. I am sick of everything! I just wish that it wuld all go away. Suddenly, I figured out how I can make it all go away, not a care left in the world. I will end it all right now, by slitting my wrists. I reach under my bed for the knife that I keep for emergencies. I have already written a note, all that is left is to die. I feel something furry under my bed , and with a sigh pull it out. I might as well let the cat out outside before I go. I look down, expecting to see the red bulk of Chester, my cat. What I see instead makes me stop short. I see a young black and blue form, peacefully lying on my hands, snoring. At first I thought it was just my princess Luna plushy, but when I looked a little closer I saw that it was breathing. I gasped. My very own Woona! I quickly started inspecting her, looking at her critically. She had flowing mane and tail, but no cutie mark. I placed her at about 4,000 years old, whereas she was 10,000 on the show. She would outlive me, but I would keep her.
It has been about a year since I found Woona, and it has been hard to conceal her. She has started to talk, and when I am home 'alone', we chat. We play on the wii, mostly Super Smash Bros. Brawl. I have stopped watching MLP, seeing as now I have a pony of my oown. I have made her a bed, and each night I tuck her in.
" Goodnight Mommy" she says one night, breaking my heart into a hundred pieces. I turn to her, smiling as I turn off the light.
"Goodnight... my little Woona"
Today is a day of celebration. Today Luna got her cutie mark! I watched as she lowered the sun and raised the moon. Today was the anniversary of the day that I found her, the day she was 'born'. In a few years we can move out, leaving my family behind. I have already found a place, and we have bought it with the money that I have saved up since first grade. Now we must wait.
Today Luna left. I came home to find her on the computer, watching my little pony. When I got in I started to sob.
" Oh luna" I sobbed. She turned toward me, looking, not upset, but sorrowful. Her voice wa like broken glass in an ice bucket, cold and sharp.
"How long?" She asks me, the first tears streaming down her face. I step backwards, looking through my thoughts for something to say.
" How long? HOW LONG?" She begs of me, the tears coming quickly. I sit down, and I tell her. I tell her all of it. By the end her mask has slipped, and she is close to crying again. I silently watch her slip out the window, fIying against the snow and the wind. When she has gone I start to sob, as I did the day that I found her.
It has been a week, and Luna has not returned. I fear for her, and have decided to go for a walk. I find myself under a tree, looming high into the air. I whisper to myself, certain nobody would her me. I was wrong. I hear a slight slound, and my head snaps up. There, standing across from me, watching me quietly, is Luna.
" Oh Luna!" I cry, as I did the day she left. She bowed her head, then spoke." I missed you mommy." She says, tears streaming down her face. I walk to her, and brush them away.
" Don't cry, your face will freeze. Look, I know that it is sooner than expected, but tomorrow we are moving to our new home." She gives a gasp of joy.
"Really?" She asks, watching me.
"Eeyup!" I say, imitating big mac. She giggles.
Today they took her away from me, my little Woona. I knew she would have to leave someday, but it still hurts. We were celebrating her sixth birthday since she had arrive when there was a knock on the door. Knowing that nobody would come and visit us, I knew who it was. I opened the door, ushering in the white alicorn mare that stood in the doorway. Luna caught sight of this visitor.
"Who is that Mommy?" She asks around a mouthful of oatcake.
" No one. Just go up to your room for now." Celestia looked inquisitive.
" Her room? Mommy? Six days is awfuly quick for you to be that far." I think for a minute. I then explain.
" Luna got sent through a vortex that turned her into a 4,000 year old filly. She ages a thousand years per human year, which is a day to you." Celestia looked uncomfortable.
"Well, I guess you know why I am here, right?" She murmured into her mane.
"Eeyup" I responded. I called Luna down from her room, and explained what was going on. At the end she was ccrying.
"Do I have to go?" She begged me
." I'm sorry Luna." I said, trying not to cry. She turned to her sister.
" I won't forget her will I?" She asked. Celestia lowered her horn to Lunas forehead. For a moment they were surrounded by a warm glow. She came over and did the same to me.
" No, neither of you will forget each other. Are you ready?" The last part was directed at Luna. She gulped and looked at me.
"Goodbye Mommy." She said before they disappeared. I looked around. All of the pictures of her were gone, and so was her stuff. I sat in her favorite chair.
"Good bye my little Woona." I whispered.
