Author's Note
Now This is my first ever time writing creatively just keep that in mind. So enjoy. Hopefully I can release more chapters to this beginning.
Chapter one: Betrayal
"I count two... No make that five. Five of those... Creatures. Every day is the same... Oh! Go attack this Kry! Oh! Clean my boots and kiss my flank! I swear, one of these days..." The odd griffon shook his head, noticing his partner, a khaki colored earth pony with a horrendous Mohawk and dusty brown eyes, that not normal of a pony, staring at him with a disappointing look.
"Kry? Do you ever go one day without complaining about our General?" The khaki pony simply chuckled, watching the encampment as he opened his saddle pack, taking out a pen and a scrap of paper. Looking over the base once more, "Alright, tell me the types of buildings or at least how many you see."
Kry looked over the pony, shaking his head as he revealed a pair of binoculars, tied loosely around his feathered neck. "Okay, I count... A field hopsital... A barracks I think. That big building is obviously the HQ... Wait. Someone is coming out. A larger creature." Kry handed the Binoculars to his friend, "Look for yourself Dusty..." Dusty shook his head, spitting out the pen as he looked, still in shock and fear as what only could be described as an abomination took center stage, cowering fear into all it passed.
"Sweet celestia... We need a bombing run and chemicals and Napa-" Dusty stops, noticing Krys' tallon holding his mouth shut. "Or we could just report to command and tell them about this?" He said, mumbling through his teeth.
"Two I would expect more than two Star..." The dark red pegasus said looking rather confused but shook his head at the thought and pulled out his knife.
"I'll head down try get a better look on th-" the red pegasus stopped, stunned to see what he saw a bright blue light, a light manifest into some creature, an abomination of some kind.
Star took out a book from his back pack and gave it to the red Pegasus, "okay Blood make yourself useful, find out what it is." Blood looked at star with a puzzled look on his face holding back on being smug.
"Read? Who reads these days? We just go down, say hi while I put my knife in the abominations throat."
Star looked at Blood and smiled.
"Oh Blood I have known you since a little filly." Blood stared fire right into Stars eyes watching in anger. Star stared back trying not to laugh. "Doesn't work, anyway let's write the report and run on back before we are spotted." Star crawled back down the hill followed by the red stallion closing the book disappointed.
"Nothing in the book about the creature, shame." Star turned to look at Blood and saw the lies.
"You didn't look you just sat and ate that weird food you eat, by the way what is that?"
The red stallion smiled and started to laugh to himself in a meniacle manner, Star turned around and quickened his pace. "Okay moving on! I don't want to know."
Blood held back temptation and burst "ITSPONYMEAT!" He laughed as Star started to run from his partner.
"Don't run I might want frozen meat but not that much, ha ha!" Star ran quicker to the outpost looking back at his maniac of a friend slowly walking, crouched with a knife in his mouth shouting Star come back, but Star just ran.
Star got back to the outpost out of breath and scared, but he pressed on to the bunks, broke through the door and locked it quickly as he could.
Star remembered the time he accidentally broke a vase as a young colt running from his parents to his room he became very good at barricading the door from them but his brother always found a way in.
Blood Lust had returned and went into the main building to report what he wrote. The captain of the outpost turned, a greyish pony looked like she had seen everything and her man was all but a stubble, Blood knew what happened but knows not to ask about it.
The Captain turned to Blood as she waved of her guard who obliged and walked out the room. "Ah Blood Lust my favourite stallion here to lead the torture I'm sure you will enjoy it." She smiled as Blood gave her the report.
"The report of our scouting ma'am, Star can give you better detail."
Blood noticed the door to the basement wide open, as soon as he opened his mouth the grey pony cut in.
"Go on Blood and remember don't complete it the same happens to you." Blood Lust smirked as he went down and closed the door.
He closed his eyes as he walked in, "Okay my little friend let us begin." His laugh filling the basement drowning out the pony strapped up. Blood opened his eyes to see the pony tied up and stood stunned he could not believe who was the victim staring back.
The cyan pegasus with a fiery blue mane. The cyan stallion cried and fought vigorously to get free but it was no use and Blood knew it was The cyan pegasus or Blood and then he made his desicion, walked over to a table full of knives, syringes, saws, hammers and looked carefully, considering slow or quick.
He smiled to himself in hatred and chose the first to come to hand, a bone saw, ironically etched in the blade, love the doctor. Blood walked over to the cyan pegasus and grabbed one of his wings and broke it. Star howled with pain as a tear ran down his face, Blood put his hoof to his mouth and licked the tear "Mmm so it does taste cold ha ha ha."
Blood looked deep into Star's eyes fear and sorrow flowed in his ice blue eyes Blood could see this and smiled as he started to pull at his broken wing, Star screeched in agony pleading for Blood to stop. Blood stopped but only for a moment as to remove the tape around Frozen Star's mouth. "Oh Star you must see its me or you and you should have listened to me."
Star looked down at his wing, half torn of and blood pouring out In every direction, he could not bear to look at Blood any more. "Why... I was your friend..." Blood dropped the saw and looked sad and confused but then walked over to the table and picked up a hammer.
"Look at me..."
"N... No I..."
Blood smiled, " have it your way." Blood striked down on Stars other wing, smiling hearing the bones crack under the might. Star let out a ungodly yell crying for him to stop.
"Ple... Please no more." Blood let out a hollow laugh as he went to the table and put the hammer back.
"Now the fun begins."
Stars eyes were blood shot the once beautiful ice blue had fallen dull and dark tears swelling out. "I remember the first time you cried like this ha ha oh where was it oh yes your house after telling you the bad news, oh that was... Intriguingly fun if I do say so myself."
Star closed his eyes remembering that day the day he got the bad news.
"where are you! We are going to be late mister" the ice blue mare was waiting impatiently for the young colt to get changed. "Come on you will be late for flight camp!" Star appeared at the top of the stairs dressed in a grey hoodie with a pair of flight goggles on his head.
"Don't worry mum we won't be late, and remember not to embarrass me this time!"
Stars mother was rushing him out the door trying to fix his messy hair. "Star this hair does not fit you at all it's all... Spiked." She gave out a small sigh as she picked him up and placed him on her back. "So how is your 'special friend'?"
She asked as they set off into the sky, a mischievous smile on her face. "Who?" Star looked puzzled and remembered. "Uhh... I... I don't love her I mean uhh...." His mother laughed as his face started to go red
"It's okay sweetie it's okay if you like her." Star buried his head under his hooves his face bright with embarrassment.
"Can we not talk about it?" "Okay but I thought raspberry ripple would be happy to see you a certain some pony told me so..." Star buried deeper.
"Mom!" She laughed as they flew over cloudsdale.
When they landed the first to greet them was a crimson furred colt with a red mane and a white furred filly with a beautiful raspberry and vanilla mane. "Hey Star go on I think that filly wants to say hi." Star went red again as he walked forward to greet the young filly.
"H... Hey raspberry how's I..." Star kept opening and shutting his mouth, his mum walked over and scuffed his main with her hoof.
"Come on Star just be yourself I don't think she would mind but it would be good to ask her later maybe?" Star went bright red as the young filly started laughing.
"Mom..." Star put his head down as his mom started to walk off.
"I think it's cute." Star raised his head in a flash at the sound of raspberry ripples calming voice.
"R-really?" Raspberry nodded and Star smiled with glee. "Don't get him to hyped up. Might get to boasting." Blood Lust stood their all high and mighty with pride.
"I bet I get top of the class." Blood smirked and smiled cheekily at raspberry. "Wanna go out?" Star stood shocked looking at Blood with rising hate ready to tear him apart.
"Really Blood? No I told you I like Star not you."
Star stood frozen in place his mouth opening and closing trying to find the words "I... I... Uhh." Star passed out on the cloud smiling with excitement.
"I think you broke him." Blood walked over to help Star up and inside the building.
"Okay man don't wimp out on me it's only a girl." Star started shaking trying to speak until he burst with words. "Ilikeyoutobutinevergotthecouragewillyougooutwithme!" He took a deep breath. "Wow didn't think I could ever say th-" raspberry but her hoof over his mouth.
"After the exams. After."
After never came. When the exams finished he said goodbye to his friends, they all passed but Blood was not happy with his results. But he never was happy much fun but never happy.
The news arrived when Blood did a guard was waiting at the door when Blood arrived at Stars home. "Do you live here?" The guard asked with a shaken look on his face.
"No but my friend does I'm visiting him, why?" The guard took his helmet off and told Blood that Stars father had died fighting the changelings and that he should be told by Blood as it would be easier.
Blood nodded, "I... I will." The guard put his helmet back on and took off. Blood seen the guard shed a tear as he flew off.
The door opened and their stood a happy Star gesturing him inside.
"Hi Blood."
"Hi Star..."
Blood shed a tear and sat down "I have terrible news Star."
Star looked at Blood worryingly "He's gone.... The guard said the truth. No..." Blood started crying his colour turning Darker. Tears swelling in Stars eyes started to fall down his head. Blood wiped away his tears. "I never got to say goodbye.." Star looked at his friend.
"Friends... Family... They never say goodbye..." Blood wrapped his hooves round Star, he buried his head under Blood.
"Please don't leave. Please." Blood tightened his hug.
"Never."
The next few months Star didn't do much except help her mother by not arguing he generally avoided everyone except for Blood who was their. But he regretted avoiding raspberry ripple she became sad until Blood explained what happened.
They went round to Stars house to find he was gone. Moved house. She never saw him again.
Star opened his eyes to see Blood Lust with his cheesy smile eyes closed head up, Star looked down to see a dead changeling. "The captain was a changeling and this guy... Mother of Celestia your wing! Medic now!" Blood tried his best to stay calm but was frantic.
Star tried to raise his head to speak but the medic arrived to get him down. He heard the shackles release and his lifeless body fell on the stretcher, Star moaned as he was carried off looking down at his wing. Bleeding his bone sticking out and then the shock kicking in didn't help much either but Bloods presence did he felt like he did in his younger days a big brother to look after him, Star closed his eyes and passed out hearing the words Blood spoke as a young colt over in his head.
"Friends never say goodbye."
Chapter three: Nightmares
Star woke up feeling groggy, vision blurred with a certain pony he didn't recognise at first standing only a breath away. His vision settled as he regained consciousness and he soon realised he was no longer in the hospital, but in a forest with none other than Raspberry Ripple and Blood Lust standing in front of him.
"W-what are we doing out here?" Star shivered under the cool breeze.
"Aww look at him shiver I thought he was frozen." Raspberry smirked and Blood took out a knife and slowly walked towards Star, eyes set on him
"Let's just gut him now." Star stood up and walked backwards then dashed as fast as he could down the trail. The two ponies quickly following him, demonic looks in their eyes he kept running hearing Blood lust shouting. "Star come back we just want your corpse ha ha ha! I won't turn you into my snack!"
Star kept running until he hit a wall. "Don't worry it won't be long till you die just a few hours." Raspberry laughed as she pulled out a taser, readying herself, she lunged at star stunning him. Stars limp body fell backwards through the wall and down a hole for what felt like an eternity until he felt a sharp pain in his leg.
Star tried not to look up but he did anyways to find himself upside down with a spike through his back leg, blood oozing out of both sides. Star kicked his other leg trying to push the spike back through but it just hurt more. He noticed some one in the corner a little filly, the filly stepped forward to reveal herself, Star was shocked at the hideous abomination that it was. The jaw was severed, it had a broken horn and yet it still conjured magic, the wings were no more than bone and in its wake it left a trail of blood and ash.
Star looked up desperate to get the spike off. He tried harder and harder until he dropped to the floor with a loud thud blood spurting out as he tried to run. Star tried to fly away but noticed his wings had disappeared. Star grudges it of and ran quicker until he spotted a door at the end of the hall. Star looked back, the beast, hot on his tail screamed in an ungodly tone. Star just kept running.
Upon reaching the door he burst through it shutting it in the abominations face. Star gave a sigh of relief but stopped dead in his tracks. He was back. Back where he would rather forget.
The basement of none other than Blood Lusts house he came down here before, during their more questionable days that he should have turned down. The door to upstairs opened and two stallions came down, he recognised one but the other was covered in surgeons clothing. The Red stallion spoke. "Okay my little pet, your time has come to join the rest in hell, don't you agree Frozen?"
Star remembered he looked down at himself to realise he was orange with a green and pink mane, he was their victim. The other version of him spoke with a devilish tone.
"Strap him up I want her horn for my collection or I chop her into little pieces." Frozens' laughter sent chills down Stars spine, as he shuddered he spoke up. "Don't do this..." A tear came to Stars eye and frozen noticed this and laughed, grabbing Star by the mane dragging him to a metal bowl on the floor and an assortment of tools laid out on what he recognised as a bone table.
Blood grabbed a piece of rope and tied it to Stars hoof. Star tried to run but felt an almighty pain to the side of his head as Blood struck down with his hoof, battering Star in the head. Star sat dazed on the floor until he felt the whole room turn upside down. "You have been a pain in the neck to our employers so you need to be silenced in the most fitting way I dream of."
Star remembered what he did to the poor mare and screamed but it was no use, the laughter of Frozen and Blood drowned out his voice. Frozen grabbed a knife from the table and walked over to the hanging pony. He raised the knife brandishing the blade to the hanging pony, the pony tried to scream but no words, not even a breath, came out. Frozen started to cut the ponies chest, blood oozing out staining the Orange fur. Star screamed at the agony he felt, Blood laughing then himself starting to join in.
Star remembered fully of what he did. They skinned and dissected the pony alive under their employers orders, Star regretted ever making that decision. Tears dwelt up in Stars eyes and started to fall down his face. Blood stopped a quarter of the way then put the knife down and relaxed as Frozen spoke. Aww tears that's so s-" Frozen stopped and started to sob. Something clicked in Frozen Star that day. "Mother of Celestia what have I done..." Blood stood up in anger and walked over to frost, placing his hoof on his shoulder.
"We got paid now continue." Star shook his head and walked back.
"I can't I just can't my father would be so ashamed..." Frozen sat at the corner of the room, tears cascading down. Blood sat down beside him and wrapped his wing around him.
"Then leave it to me I should never have let you see this."
"I-I'm sorry." Frozen stood up and walked up to the top of the stairs, before looking at the atrocity Blood Lust committed.
"Now where was I ah yes the skinning."
Star screamed and tried to break free as blood delved the knife into his fur slowly pulling down, tearing skin from muscle blood splitting out into the bowl beneath.
"Oh such a messy mare I am I can clean it up." Blood grabbed a bottle from the table and opened it. Blood took a whiff before throwing a cold liquid into the orange mares atrocious patches of blood and muscle. Blood laughed as the Orange mate cried out tears raining down mixing with the warm Blood. "Oh ponies are so delicious maybe I will eat you instead but alas I have job." Blood struck down with the knife cutting more of the skin off then, stabbing the knife into her hind leg cutting around her left cutie mark tearing as the muscle and tissue snapped apart. Blood smiled and licked the knife.
"Oh such tasty blood he ha ha he I must have more." The Orange mare hanged in silence sobbing as Blood drove the knife right into her stomach, twisting the blade around, mashing her insides into nothing blood running out of her like water, raining down into the bowl and floor now stained dark red. "Oh well would you look at the time the time is over so I guess I will leave enjoy your stay but not for too long." Blood hopped away throwing the knife away to the side, laughing in his meniacle state. "Oh Star time to get up." Star
Frozen heard Blood shout but not from down stairs, not in the room, but in his head. The room started to crack as the basement fell apart beams of light shone through blinding Frozen until he jerked then, nothing. Not a word until he felt a shaking slow to start but became more ferocious.
Star. Star. Star. The voice repeated then he woke up. "Star! Star calm down its just a dream, it's only a dream." Star looked around finding himself sat in the hospital room. Same bed same curtains same Blood Lust. Star looked down, same broken wings. Stars heart was racing but he slowly calmed himself and looked over at Blood and gave a small smile but Blood was not buying it. "Dude what happened you where crying and sobbing then your monitor went a tad crazy I told the medic I had it so he left. Which was stupid since I'm a scout not a medic. So mind explaining?" Blood looked at him sternly waiting for a response.
"No?" Star asked questionably, Blood shook his head.
"Explain."
"No."
"Yes or I will beat it outta you." Star gave out a slight sigh.
"Fine I went to sleep and woke up with you and Raspberry in front of me going crazy, I ran you, chased me, I fell in a hole, ran from that abomination, then I get hung up as an orange mare remember that?"
Blood looked around him nervously darting between the door and Star. "Of course we um never mind."
Yes well I just woke up from being skinned alive then you wake me and man I'm glad...."
"Well that's incredibly bizarre but dude that's not a nightmare."
Star looked at Blood puzzled. "Oh and what is?" Blood chuckled and sat back. "Another time Star, Another time." Star leaned back and turned on his side.
Star wiped his eyes as he began to silently cry. He heard a sniff from Blood and turned over to see the red stallion crying as well. Star leaned across and put his hoof on his. "As long as we have each other we will be fine." Blood looked up and smiled as they both went back into the darkness of their dreams. Dreams they hoped would not come back.

Well this is chapter three but did I go a little far with torment and torture? Nah plenty more to come and this was hard to write as this came to me in a... *ahem* my own personal hell of a nightmare
