Discord has recently come into power in Equestria. He rules with an iron fist and giant pancakes that occasionally fall from the sky. The lord of chaos has enslaved the pony population and uses them as his playthings in his games of chaos. Making them do impossible tasks such as drinking all the water out of a cup that constantly refills itself or trying to cross a stream that widens as one nears the other shore. His rule has brought many ponies to despair. The only place he hasn’t conquered is the crystal empire in the north. He is content with his chaotic reign in Equestria. “DISCORD!” A young male Pegasus called out to the lord of chaos, reclining lazily on his throne. The young Pegasus had a dark grey coat, with a wild black mane and tail, and teal eyes. The Pegasus stood defiantly in front of the throne, he appeared to be a few years from reaching Stallion hood. Discord looked up from his relaxed position and raised an eyebrow at the challenging Pegasus. “My my, no need to be so loud. I am not deaf you know.” He said with a smirk. “What is it you want? Perhaps some more chocolate rain, or how about some gum to keep those wings of yours together?” Discord offered with a laugh. The young Pegasus, named Shadowknight ignored what Discord had said. “Discord, your short reign is over, I will end this here and now!” Shadowknight said as he charged at Discord with a fierce some war cry. “Hyaaaaaah!” Discord raised an eyebrow and flicked a finger in Shadowknight’s direction. Immediately the ground beneath Shadowknight’s hooves was covered in a layer of ice. Shadowknight continued charging and then began to slip and skid. In a few moments he had face planted and skidded across the ice. “While I applaud your bravery, you are a fool if you think you can defeat chaos alone!” Discord said laughing as he skated by Shadowknight as Shadowknight tried to regain his footing. Again Shadowknight tried to charge Discord and he proceeded to slip and land on his rump, skidding across the ice again. Discord laughed and shook his head. This continued for a few hours before Discord grew bored. He disappeared saying. “Well you provided a welcome distraction, keep trying and maybe one day you will win! Ahaha” Discord laughed at the absurdity. With a snap of his fingers he disappeared to cause chaos somewhere else in Equestria. “One day I will defeat you Discord!” Shadowknight said defiantly as he limped away, nursing many scrapes and bruises. “One day… I will set all of Equestria free from your rule.” 1003 years ago….. Equestria…… Day of Discord For 3 more years this continued. Discord ruled with his chaos and Shadowknight would challenge and attempt to defeat Discord, each time failing miserably. However, Shadowknight’s spirit could not be dampened and he believed that one day he would best Discord and set all ponies free. Rumors started spreading among the enslaved ponies of two members of a rare species of pony. They were called Alicorns and they were coming to rescue them. By this time, Shadowknight has reached Stallion hood. “DISCORD!” Shadowknight shouted as he had done many times before. He stood defiantly in front of Discord, dressed in some shabby made armor and a cloak made of rugged black cloth. The metal was rusty and the cloak had holes and was torn at the edges. “Such a pest you are, little colt.” Discord said with an eye roll. He was currently reclining in his throne as was his usual position. It was comfortable and it let him admire his work. “I assume the mighty Shadowknight again challenges the terrible Discord to a duel. In which I will win and you will run away shouting that I will be defeated some day.” Discord said with a yawn. “Truly this is becoming tedious, why do you never give up?” “Because I believe in a world free of your chaotic rule. A world where ponies everywhere can live without fear. I believe in justice and honor and you possess neither of these traits, Discord!” Shadowknight stated. “Now ready yourself for battle!” Shadowknight pulled down the makeshift visor of his helmet. “This is so pitiful.” Discord said shaking his head. “You really believe you can defeat me with that ‘armor’. Very well I guess it would only be fair to humor you after trying oh so hard for these long three years.” Discord said. “Very well then. Hyaaaaah!” Shadowknight said as he charged Discord. As he neared the lord of chaos he jumped in the air and attempted to lash out at Discord with his hooves. Discord took the hits and yawned. “Is it my turn then? Very well!” Discord said as he used his magic to enlarge one of his hands and he swatted Shadowknight out of the sky and toward the ground. The young Pegasus landed with a loud crash followed by a groan of pain. The Pegasus had been badly injured by the crash and struggled to his hooves. He shook as he raised his head to look at Discord Defiantly who had resumed reclining on his throne. “I applaud your strength of will, but will alone is not enough to defeat me.” Discord said with a smirk. Shadowknight took a few steps and then collapsed in front of Discord’s throne. “So now you finally learn your place. Good. I will miss our little outings.” Discord said as he leaned back. “DISCORD!” Two female pony voices cried out in unison. “Oh what now?” Discord asked nopony in particular. He was rather annoyed by now. He thought one annoying little challenger was enough, if more appeared he would be thoroughly grumpy. Two Alicorns landed a few feet away from Discord’s throne. It was Luna and Celestia, the fabled Alicorns who would free all ponies from Discord’s tyranny. “Your rain of tyranny is over.” Luna said. “Surrender now and you may yet make it through this day.” Continued Celestia. “Me? Surrender? Ha” Discord laughed. “You have no idea who you are dealing with.” “This is your last chance Discord.” Celestia continued. “If you do not surrender we will use force!” “Oh this will be interesting. Go ahead and try your best.” Discord said smirking. “Are you ready?” Celestia asked her sister Luna. “I am.” Luna replied with a nod to her sister. They rose into the air with their wings spread and six gems floated around them. Various colors and lights came from the two and then a stream of rainbows shout out and struck Discord. “Ha such a lovely trick but…. Wait…. What is this?” Discord asked panicked now as he was beginning to turn into stone. “This is the power of harmony!” Celestia shouted. “No this can’t….” Discord was more then halfway turned to stone. With a last desperate move he swung his arm out at Luna and a blast of magic flew out at her. “Oh….no you…..don’t!” Discord heard a familiar voice say as a form covered in ramshackle armor and a torn cloak jumped in the way of the blast, taking the hit. Shadowknight took the full blast and flew past the two Alicorns as they continued their work. “Why you little…..” Discord never finished as he was fully encased in stone, imprisoned once and for all. Luna and Celestia landed gently on the ground. Immediately, Luna and Celestia rushed to the fallen Pegasus. If Shadowknight had been in a rough state before he had taken that magic blast, he was in worse shape now. His eyes were barely open and he had trouble breathing. His sides hurt and one of his wings was broken on impact. He was in extreme pain as Luna and Celestia came to him and knelt by his side. “Hold on.” Celestia said, concerned for the Pegasus who had risked his life to save her sister and had helped imprison Discord. “Luna, tend to him. I will see if I can find any pony that can help.” Celestia rushed off to go find a pony who was actually skilled in healing arts. “But I don’t…” Luna trailed off. She was concerned for the stallion, but didn’t know what to do. She decided that keeping him awake might be the best way to help at least until Somepony else could actually tend to his wounds. “What is your name?” She asked gently. Shadowknight didn’t seem to hear her, but then his eyes slowly looked up at Luna and he croaked out “Sh..ad…ow….kn….ight….” “I am Luna.” Luna said as she cautiously reached out to brush out a strand of Shadowknight’s mane from his face. “Are you alright?” She asked, she knew it was a stupid question, but anything to keep the Stallion from drifting off. “Been…..better….” Shadowknight responded with a small chuckle. “Worth…. The…..pain…..though….” Shadowknight smiled weakly. “This way!” Celestia was heard saying as she came back with a male earth pony skilled in medicine and carrying a specialized stretcher. Luna had been taken aback and was easily taken aside by her sister as the earth pony slowly moved Shadowknight onto the stretcher and hauled him away. “Are you alright?” Celestia asked. “Y-yes.” Luna replied. “And what of the pegasus, did he say anything?” Celestia asked. “His name is Shadowknight and…” Luna trailed off. “And what?” Celestia asked, curious. “Nothing. Can… I go with Shadowknight, to make sure he is alright?” Luna asked. “Of course, I’ll take care of Discord and start cleaning up some of his mess.” Celestia said smiling at her sister. “Thank you.” Luna said smiling back at her sister as she left.
