Ponyville

"Why did you grab my books, without even asking me?" Asked an angered Twilight.

The CMC had forgotten about returning the books, thanks to a certain creature they met. When the fillies realized that, it was a little too late. The next morning, Twilight came to pick them up at their school; Applejack and Rarity accompanied her.

"Twilight asked you a question, girls!" Applejack said. The first to react was Apple Bloom.

"We're sorry, it's just that..."

"You took my books to attempt something ridiculously dangerous, just to get your cutie marks, am I right?" Twilight finished for her, while sighing. "Girls, you can't keep doing this! You're going to get hurt or worse one of these days, just because you want to play stupid!"

"Wow! Easy there Twilight! She still is my sister!" Applejack replied with a frown on her face.

The alicorn was about to say something in return, when Twilight noticed how she had acted, even Rarity had her eyes wide open at the alicorn's sudden burst of anger. Twilight sighed, before facing Applejack.

"I'm sorry girls, and Applejack, it's just that..."

"I get it sugarcube, you're worried about him, don't you?" Applejack interrupted.

"One day has already passed, and he hasn't returned yet." Twilight looked at the floor, with a worried look on her face.

"Those manticore attacks were starting to be a real problem, it's not easy to get rid of them... especially when Fluttershy chains herself to one of them, so they don't get hurt." Rarity said, as she rolled her eyes.

"The other guards I sent, have already returned." Twilight added.

"Maybe he found more of them, and needed more time. He tries to do anything just to impress you." Applejack said, causing Twilight to release a small grin, but her face still had a grim expression.

"I'll give him one more day, if he doesn't return, I'll send some guards in the morning." Twilight exclaimed, as she turned around and grabbed her books, before leaving the school. Apple Bloom reacted quickly, and tried to reach her, but was stopped by Applejack.

"Where do you think you're going, young filly? We still haven't talked about your punishment!"

"But... but there“s something m..." Apple Bloom tried to speak, but was interrupted by Applejack.

"No buts, you're grounded for this day."

Sweetie and Scootaloo tried to intervene, and talk about Nemesis, but they were stopped as well.

"You too young fillies. Scootaloo, you will help Sweetie organize my materials, and clean the Boutique."

"Wow! Clean your Boutique? Aren't you going a little over the board, Rarity? These are fillies, not criminals." Applejack mocked, receiving a stare from Rarity, but the orange pony simply laughed. "Okay Apple Bloom, lets go, you have shores to do."

Apple Bloom gave a sad look, before saying goodbye to her friends, who, left behind Rarity. Along the way, Scootaloo remembered about a certain monster in the forest, and turned to face Sweetie.

"psst, psst! Sweetie!" Scootaloo whispered, catching the attention of the white filly.

"What?"

"Aren't we forgetting about something?" Scootaloo asked.

"Oh yeah! You never returned Diamond Tiara part of the mane you ripped from her head." Sweetie answered with a smile.

"No, not that, I'm talking about Nem..."

"Shush you two! You aren't here to talk." Rarity interrupted, instantly shutting up both fillies.

After a few minutes of walking, the trio had finally arrived at the Carousel Boutique. Upon entering, Rarity went over a closet, and took out two brooms, along with some cleaning tools, which were handed to the two fillies.

"Now get to work, I must do something of utmost importance, if you excuse me..." Rarity exclaimed as she took out a white bathrobe and a pair of cucumbers for her eyes, then, proceeded to head upstairs, before she stopped midway. "Do not even think about escaping or doing something unrelated to your punishment, or I will find out."

With that, Rarity entered her room and prepared for her beauty sleep, leaving the two fillies to take care of the Boutique. A few minuted had passed, before they heard Rarity snoring, then, Scootaloo began to talk.

"Hey Sweetie, what do we do about Nemesis?"

"Hug him?" The response from the white filly, made Scootaloo facehoof, before she talked again.

"I wasn't talking about that. I mean, weren't we going to tell Twilight?"

"Yeah, but remember she left all of a sudden." Sweetie answered.

"What do we do now?" Scootaloo asked, but only got a shrug from her friend. "Let's hurry and see if we have at least, little time to check on him."

Not wanting to disobey, the two fillies continued with their punishment.

Even though, the streets of Ponyville were full of life, Twilight felt like she was currently alone. Her duties as a princess were eating most of her time, not even her countless years of hard work could compare to the heavy weight she now had on her shoulders, and now, one of his closest 'friends' was missing.

Several manticores had gone out of the forest, attacking innocent ponies in the process, because of this, a small battalion of guards were sent to end the threat, but Flash Sentry wasn't originally chosen to go towards the Everfree Forest. The pegasus had insisted in proving his worth, even though it wasn't needed.

Could it be true? Did he went just to impress her? As much curiosity as she had in knowing the answer, Twilight knew there were more important questions, what happened to him? Was he okay? Or was he... dead?

Her thoughts were soon cut short as she arrived at her castle, every guard in her sight vowed as soon as they spotted her. Twilight was known to be friendly, but this day, she felt angry.

A pair of guards opened the door, the alicorn wasted no time in entering, she needed time to concentrate.

Leaving the books on their place, Twilight sat on her throne, staring into nothingness, but then, a certain dragon interrupted her thoughts.

"Hey Twilight! Good thing you arrived, princess Celestia sent a letter."

"Can't it just wait a little? I'm not feeling too good?" Twilight sighed.

"Something wrong?" Spike asked, as he got closer to his friend. Seconds after he watched her face, the dragon immediately deduced what was the problem. "He hasn't returned yet, has he?"

Twilight shook her head in a negative, while looking at the floor. Spike sighed.

"Then maybe I shouldn't read you the letter." His words got Twilight's attention immediately.

"What do you mean by that?" Her face had a frown.

"Nothing, it's just a thought from the princess and..." Spike never finished his sentence, as he was interrupted by Twilight.

"Show me!" The alicorn replied as she took the letter from Spike's hands, then started reading it.

Dear princess Twilight Sparkle

First of all, I apologize for any interruption towards your duties, but I think it's important to notify you about a strange disturbance.

Yesterday, a few hours after sunrise, I felt a curious wave of energy, somewhere inside the Everfree Forest.

My sister insist that it's nothing, but I fear something more may have happened, please, be on your guard, and notify if something unusual happens.

princess Celestia

If Twilight felt bad before, now she felt way worse, the letter did nothing to relieve her, and now she was full of anxiety. Spike took notice of this, and tried to calm her.

"Even though, I don't like the guy, I know he's tough." Spike began, then turned to watch at the floor, and whispered low, in order to avoid Twilight from listening. "Tough? Yeah right."

"Spike, you don't understand, I sent him towards the Everfree Forest, just because he insisted." Twilight roared in anger, before she continued talking. "I knew I shouldn't have let him go, I should have stopped him, and now because I didn't listen to my senses, he could be injured or worse!"

Spike got closer to her, and warped his arms around the crying alicorn, trying to comfort her.

"Spike, I know you want to make me feel better, but, can I stay alone for a few minutes?" Twilight asked, Spike immediately replied.

"Twilight I don't..."

"Please Spike, I just need a few minutes." Spike didn't really want to leave her alone, but he nodded nevertheless.

Soon the dragon left the room, leaving Twilight on her thoughts, she was afraid of what would come, she knew that if something had indeed happened, her rage wouldn't be stopped by anypony, less for whatever or whoever harmed him.

Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo had finished their punishment, and only a few hours before the moon went up high in the sky. They were rushing towards the streets, excited to see their new friend.

Apple Bloom was waiting for their arrival, at their clubhouse. She didn't have to wait long though, as soon enough, the two fillies appeared.

"Wow! You look like Nemesis gave you a beating." Scootaloo mocked the look Apple Bloom had, she had been working on the farm almost all day without rest, but the excitement won over her tiredness.

"Hah, hah, very funny! Can we go now?"

Soon, the three fillies found themselves entering the forest, and began to walk for five minutes, until Sweetie realized something.

"Umm... girls? Where were we supposed to meet him?"

The other two stopped on their tracks, scratching their manes at the question. Thankfully, they wouldn't have to think about it, as a familiar roar was heard from the deepness of the forest.

Not wasting any moment, the trio went towards the source of the sound, soon realizing what was happening.

A huge, imposing, totally terrifying and powerful Hydra was getting a serious beating by a more ruthless creature.

Nemesis was giving punches against the Hydra's stomach, before jumping in the air. The fillies gasped in amazement, upon seeing Nemesis jump with such a force, that he ended a few feet above the Hydra, then, the creature brought his arms around the Hydra's neck, forcing it to the floor.

The other two heads, directed their attack against the monster, who was busy punching the middle head, leaving bloody marks on its head. The left head came to a stop as Nemesis threw a punch against it, instantly making it back away.

The right head grabbed Nemesis within its jaws, but the creature managed to free himself, and brought it to the ground, once there, Nemesis used his two hands to open the Hydra's mouth. The fillies closed their eyes at the next scene, as Nemesis separated the lower jaw from the rest of the head, then, planted his fists against the skull of the Hydra, smashing it completely.

The middle and left head had recovered, and resumed their fight, Nemesis jumped once again towards the left one, and made it crash against a tree, then, inserted his hands inside its throat, and began to pull it apart into two pieces. Huge amounts of blood came out from the fatal injury, as the left head released its last breath.

Nemesis then waited for the middle head to launch an attack, but it didn't came. Realizing something was wrong, he turned around to see were it was. His blood began to boil as he spotted the Hydra going towards the three fillies, then, something none of them expected, happened. Nemesis roared as three silver claws came out from each of his two hands, immediately launching himself against the remaining head of the Hydra.

Seconds before the animal could reach the ponies, six claws were brought inside its skull, Nemesis then forced it into the ground and began to tear the meat from its bones. The Hydra could only cry in pain, as Nemesis brought his claws with fury against the animal's skull.

The Hydra was dead, and for a few seconds, Nemesis continued slashing, completely lost in a blood lust. Once he finished, Nemesis turned around towards the shocked fillies, who were trembling in fear.

The creature looked at them, then lowered his head towards his bloody claws. Getting them inside as he clenched his fist, Nemesis looked once more at the ponies, and began to walk towards them. They backed away a little, not knowing if Nemesis would do something to them.

The creature realized this, and walked slower, then, in front of them, he knelt down, never taking his eye off them.

After a few tense seconds, Sweetie was the first to get close to him. Even though, they had discovered he was a wild animal, Nemesis had still saved them, then, Sweetie did something none of them expected, she warped her arms around the monster's arm.

Nemesis didn't know how to react, and simply stood still. The other two fillies let go of their fear and went to hug the monster's arm as well.

Not more than two seconds had passed until they let go of the creature, who immediately stood up.

The resent events prevented all of them from talking, until Nemesis broke the silence.

"ROAAAR!"

He roared, while crossing his arms, the fillies immediately recognized this as an accusation, and replied.

"Hey, we only wanted to come and see you!" Apple Bloom was the first, followed by Sweetie.

"Yeah! How could we know there was a Hydra getting a beating from you!"

"It's not like this never happened to us before!" Scootaloo was the last.

Nemesis reacted by pointing with his fingers towards town, and released another roar, the fillies deduced what he was trying to say.

"We couldn't have just left you, what if something happened to you!" Apple Bloom said.

Nemesis once again crossed his arms, as he released a small moan.

After a few minutes, the fillies softened up, and faced Nemesis, then, the three spoke in unison.

"Thank you for saving us."

Nemesis launched a small groan, before he lifted his head to look towards the sky. Noticing it was almost night, he motioned for the fillies to follow him towards town.

On their way there, the three got curious and asked.

"Did that Hydra bothered you? Or you just wanted to beat something up?" Scootaloo rolled her eyes, and received a roar in response. "Ups! I keep forgetting I have to ask 'yes' and 'no' only questions."

"Ah've never seen claws like that before, are they part of your body?" Apple Bloom asked, getting a nod in response.

"Are they made from metal?" Sweetie was the next, but this time, Nemesis shrugged, he wasn't sure what kind of material they were made of.

Finally, they were arriving at Ponyville. The three fillies gave their goodbyes as they headed towards their homes, but Sweetie stopped on her tracks, and returned with Nemesis, hugging his leg.

"I hope we can finally have fun tomorrow, without you tearing things apart of course." The little filly once again went running towards her house, waving at Nemesis as she ran.

Now that he was alone, the creature once again looked down at his hands, seconds later he took out his claws, and watched them for a few moments.

Nemesis got them back inside as he clenched his fist and closed his eye, he could feel his new powers cursing through him. His stronger healing factor (even better than Wolverine's or Deapool's), his superior physical strength, coming close to that of the Hulk (although, definitely not on the same level), his extra reflexes, the enhanced durability, and faster movement.

The weapon X program didn't only make some additional improvements, it had made the already unstoppable monster, even more unstoppable, but he still tried to convince himself, that he wasn't the same monster as before, even though, his blood lust said otherwise.

Nemesis had come to realize, he could never bring himself to slaughter the fillies, even if they attacked him; but everyone else that could dare stand in his way, would not be so lucky.

With this thoughts, the creature turned around and returned to the forest.

Unknown to everypony, at the outskirts of the forest, two silhouettes stared at the soon hopeless town. Behind them, hundreds of black creatures awaited for their leader to start the march.

One of the two silhouettes began to speak, as it gazed a hateful watch upon the land.

"My, my, it's even more beautiful than I imagined... disgusting!" The black pony exclaimed, before looking at his companion. "Don't you think so?"

"Indeed, it's not as hideous as you, Chrisy." The other silhouette replied, his green eyes looked back at her, making the purple mist around them, grow larger, as he felt his rage growing.

"Watch your tongue, Sombra, you're lucky we found you, if it weren't for me, you would be rotting right now." Chrysalis replied.

"I swear, Chrysalis, if I had my horn right now, I would..." Before Sombra could even finish, Chrysalis interrupted.

"You would what?"

"I would make you wish you were dead!" Chrysalis laughed at his words, then, grabbed his cheeks with her hooves and talked.

"Aren't you adorable, but don't worry, fallen king, if you work well, you'll get your horn back." Once she finished, Chrysalis turned to face towards the forest, spotting once again Ponyville in the distance, then continued talking. "Besides, look at bright side, once we get rid of those ponies, the contents of that box, will be ours. Of course, Canterlot will be mine. You can keep the Crystal empire if you want."

"How do I know you will keep your end of the bargain?" Sombra asked.

"Would I ever lie to you?" Chrysalis smirked, then went to laugh out loud. She never noticed that Sombra was releasing a small grin of his own, the fallen king already had his plans.

The two monsters began their march towards the forest, but unknown to them, a bigger monster awaited at Ponyville, ready to slaughter anything standing in his way.
