Guardians of Disharmony
Discord has been defeated and Equestria is forever safe with Celestia and Luna as the new rulers.....or at least that's what they believe....Discord had enough energy left to send his conscious to find a group of select few to cause chaos and disharmony so that he may return
The young mare known as Blitz was working at her usual job when she heard something, it was like a voice calling her to come to it, and she followed it. Where she went no one knew, her family was in distress and searched far and wide for her, but to no avail. She had followed the call, she went to a long forgotten castle far beyond the boundaries of Equestria, and what she found no one would ever believe. She was not the only one who had heard the call, there were others, and they all gathered here in this castle, they all stood upon a insignia which had their cutiemarks engraved into them, when they were all on their cutie marks and castle began to shake and come back to life. The middle of the floor opened and a glowing tone floated out shining a light brighter than Celestia's sun, then they heard a voice. "Welcome my loyal subjects, you are probably wondering why i called you here," called out the voice from the stone, "I am Discord, master chaos and disharmony. And you my dear little ponies, are my new guardians, you are destined to protect disharmony and chaos so that i may one day return". "But why did you choose us," questioned a young colt, "what makes us worthy of this?" "why my dear little guardian, you all posses certain talents of which can be used to cause disharmony for me," the stone began to glow even bright and a beam of light went into each of the 9 ponies, "the light you see is the light of perfected chaos, it is being broken apart and put a piece inside each of you". Each pony felt as if they had just been brought back to life from the dead, they could run faster, jump higher, think smarter and quicker, they got stronger. They will remain in the shadows and watch everypony, observe them, learn their fears, strengths, and weaknesses. And once they did that, they would cover the land in chaos, disharmony, and fear. For once this was done their master may return, and upon his return a legend would be born.
Throughout Ponyville everypony was happy and excited, everypony celebrated and was happy. But what no one knew was that soon their happiness would turn to misfortune. As all the ponies gathered around to see their joyful song, a scream could be heard, this scream came from a a little filly who watched in horror as her house burned down. No pony knew how this fire started but one pony stood in the back of the crowd smiling, for he knew exactly how this happened, and this continued for years to come, misfortunes and chaos appeared to have happen out of know where. Not even the dear old princesses knew, but if anypony had paid attention there was always a dark figure standing in the back, smiling, for they were protecting this ancient art, the art of chaos. They are the Guardians, they are the guardians of disharmony, full of seven members. These members were all unknown through out the land, when everypony eventually discovered they were being watched by someone they all grew afraid. They were afraid because they had no control, they pleaded to the princesses to help, but they had no control over this either.
Two young little fillies were playing in a open field, they were care free. They had no reason to be afraid or to be cautious, but what they didn't know was that they were being watched. When the fillies decided to sit and rest for a bit, a mare walked behind them, quietly. She tapped on the little fillies back and when they turned around, blackness was all they could see. She dragged the knocked out fillies to the Everfree forest and began her work, She took a metal rod with a circular end and put it into a fire as she tied the fillies to a tree. When the fillies had awoken they had a horrible burning sensation coming from where their cutiemarks would be. They were branded, they had deep burn marks with a symbol of an orb with wings. They cried, they ran away and was never seen again, this was not the first time this happened, and it would not be the last. As the young fillies' parents grieved over their lost, a stallion knocked on their door. When they opened the door they were greeted by a stallion with a black cowl covering his face, and they were afraid, their time had come.
Princess Celestia felt a shift in power, she thought nothing of it, for who in all of Equestia could be as powerful as her. Little did the dear princess know was that she would soon be facing a power which would last for centuries to come, and at the mere thought of that made the frozen statue which was once the great ruler Discord, it made the statue smile, and from this smile a million ponies would be filled with chaotic fear. This fear would be rooted deep into every mare, filly, and colt. The guardians were an eternal part of Equestria now and there was nothing that could stop it. But something wasn't right. Something was missing, Discord pondered over this for a century, and on the day of Discord's return, a filly was born. A small gray filly who's destiny would be forever changed as his skin was as cold as ice and the cold would never hurt him, this filly, this small filly would play a role of which could never be filled again. This filly was named IceQuill, master of the frozen heart and the written ice.
