Rainbow read the letter carefully. She flew quickly inside her house. She locked her doors up tight so no one can hear her cries of sorrow. She laid on her couch and cried till her heart's content. This was no ordinary letter. It was 100th letter of being rejected from the Wonderbolts. She let her tears flow as she laid on her couch, her head stuffed in a pillow. She kept crying as she made her way to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. She stopped crying for a second.
"You tried! You tried and that's all that matters! Tried, tried, and fucking tried!" She said as started crying again.
She punched the mirror with her hoof in rage. Blood flowed down her hoof as shards of glass dug into it. She galloped into the kitchen and washed her hands. Once all the blood and shards were gone, she wrapped her hoof up into a bandage. Once she was done, she looked at her saddlebag that she hasn't used in what seemed like forever. She hasn't used it since Fluttershy stood up to that dragon and saved Ponyville. A tear slid down her cheek as she remembered her long time friend. She haven't seen her in what seemed like forever.
She looked at the door and then at her room. She got an idea that would change everything. Her face grew into a wide smile that would easily rival Pinkie's. She grabbed her saddlebag and flew up to her room. She tore down all Wonderbolt posters and even tore up her pillow and bed sheets. She grabbed an extra blanket and pillow that she hasn't used in ages and stuffed it in her saddlebag. She also took warm clothes and some food and stuffed it in her saddlebag as well. She even took Tank and put him on her back.
She took a pencil and paper and wrote down a note for her friends. It read..
Dear Friends,
I'm sorry for having to move away like this. This is the only way I will ever complete my dream by staying here. I need to find another path to take. Another dream that maybe I can accomplish. I want you all to know that I love you all dearly and you will always be my friends. I recommend you not trying to look for me because I am going to place that not even you guys would dare to go. I will never complete my dream by staying here. I'm sorry and I hope that one day you will find it in your hearts to forgive me and carry on with your lives without me.

After finishing the letter, she put it in an envlop and placed it down on her table in the middle of the room. Her house was trashed from her kicking and breaking stuff. She looked up at the hole in her roof. It was about noon.
"Now to wait until night." She said as she sat down below the hole and watched the sky change. Once she was sure it was dark enough, she flew through the hole. She looked around to make sure no one was there. She looked to West. That was the best way to go. Well, if she wanted to get away from here that is.
Once she was sure no one was there, she flew as fast as she could West. She looked back to see if anyone was following her. Once she was sure she no one was following her, she made her way to the barrier that separated Equestria from the worlds outside. It was blazing with magic. She narrowed her eyes.
"Feel no pain. Then you gain. Something called Freedom." Rainbow said as she dashed into the barrier.
She tried and tried to break it by dashing into it over and over again but, finally she had enough. She punched the barrier so hard it made a hole just big enough for her to fit through. Her hoof was bleeding a lot but, she didn't care. She smiled as she fit through the hole with ease. She remembered that she was able to pack her element of harmony with her as well so, she used that to repair the barrier to cover up her tracks. She smiled at the land below.
She flew far up into the starry night sky. She set her stuff on the cloud including Tank by casting a cloud walking spell on him with her element. She flew higher into the night sky until she was above the clouds. She flew as fast as she could thought the night sky. She was finally where she wanted to be. She was finally where she could be free. She finally flew so fast that she created a sonic boom. Not just any other sonic boom though. It was a blue wave of stars that flowed behind her. Her sonic boom created a fiery star across the land. Rainbows mane and turned to a starry light blue and her coat turned to a dark blue. Her cutie mark changed to a blue, yellow, and black lightning bolt with a star instead of a cloud. Rainbow basked in her new look and renamed herself.
"You can call me Starlight Dash!" She said as she flew away. She flew across the night sky as fast as she could creating different tricks that she never knew existed. In the daylight, she would be her normal self again but, she did not care.
This is a place that can let her be in paradise. This was a place where she could be free.
This is a place where she can fly.
